Candace? You are so clueless it's scary. Flustered is when you're at the ATM, there's a huge line up and you've forgotten your PIN. Hopefully, this will put Trump's foot so firmly in his mouth that it won't come out. A statement like this could very well cost him the election, fingers crossed. Poor tRump, being made to answer for his assertions and so-called policies. Paula making excuses for him was ridiculous as well. Edited March 31, 2016 by NextIteration 6 Link to comment

Hopefully, this will put Trump's foot so firmly in his mouth that it won't come out. A statement like this could very well cost him the election, fingers crossed. Yeah, it was a little ridiculous. CCB's defense of Trump was based on one thing - he is PRO-LIFE. Which, in itself is stupid. EVERYBODY is "pro-life". Nobody is ANTI-LIFE, because that makes no sense. Trump deflecting the question back to the interviewer, asking "you're catholic, what does your religion say?" was a strategy that didn't work. Abortion is legal. Women have choices, women have the rights to make those choices - regardless of what CCB's or Trump's or Chris Matthews' religious beliefs are. Trump was not successful at dodging the question, and he said something stupid. Yes, he was probably flustered. But he wants to have a job which entails running on little sleep, being asked tough questions, and being able to not say stupid shit that his "handlers" have to re-interpret and take back later. We dont' need a president that says stupid crap and then has to say the next day that he didn't mean it. The point is not whether Trump can or will make abortion illegal (he can't actually do that), it's about whether or not he has the skill set that the job of president requires. He proved that he doesn't, because he wasn't able to give more than a canned answer to a tough question. The job of president requires that you have the ability to think on your feet. But people like PAula and CCB latch onto the "pro-life" label and cant' see past that. Trump's other answers - to audience questions in that same interview, were "canned answers". What's your thinking on student loans? on veterans benefits? he answers that's a very good question, it's an important topic, it's terrible what's been happening, blah, blah, blah, my administration will come up with a good plan to address that issue. That same canned response didn't work as he was pressed to say something of SUBSTANCE. CCB and Paula need to look at a transcript of what he says, and see that he actually says very little beyond tooting his own horn and talking about how popular he is. Except for today when she imagines herself to be so hot, she's on "many many people's celebrity hook up wish list" or as we peons call it "celebrity free pass list" - something I first heard about TWENTY years ago on Friends, lol and like someone else posted here - makes no sense for actual celebrities to play. I don't like the way Paula brushed off Kasich signing the bill defunding PP as no big deal, saying that there are other clinics to take up the slack. That's not necessarily true. PP is located in areas that best service some of the most needy women. Making them travel to other clinics is burdensome in many cases and totally unnecessary. And also cruel, vengeful and short-sighted. Yeah, like the way to make the abortion rate go down is to make it harder for women to access birth control. I didn't see the show yesterday, but I'm going out on a limb here and guessing thanks to the show's crack fact-checking staff and Paula herself, she probably didn't mention the list of "other women's health centers" included dentist offices, elementary school nurse's offices, senior centers, and a food bank. I would love to ask Paula how college students are supposed to get birth control from the elementary school in their neighborhood. Words cannot express how much I despise how Whoopi opens the show. Why the need to bellow, "WELCOME TO THE VIEW WELCOME TO THE VIEW WELCOME TO THE VIEW WELCOME TO THE VIEW", replete with finger pointing? First she started saying it twice - once to the audience seated behind her back, once to the audience facing her (and us) but I think someone told her to stop it and so now she just ramps it up - as her 'signature' or something equally dumb. Kind of like how she changed the closing line of "Take a little time to enjoy the view" to "Enjoy whatever view you happen upon." She stopped that for a while (maybe at a producer's suggestion?) but now says it in a way thatI get the feeling she's being defiant. Lame. Edited March 31, 2016 by Cosmocrush 13 Link to comment

The extreme facial expressions, jumping out of her seat, and OTT reactions to situations that are rarely (or barely) humorous is her bread and butter shtick. It's like she knows she's struggling on the show and is diving into her bag of tricks to see if what once worked for her "in the industry" will help her now. Sad really. AaarrggSo, pardon the crudeness, are these women-- Butsy, CCB, and Paula-- whores for the dollars that being on tv brings? Or are they fooling themselves that they can preach the Word at these jobs? Contradicting their "beliefs" that raising kids (full-time) is the most important woman's role. Trump didn't say anything the anti-choice people don't already believe - they aren't upset at what he said, just that he actually said it out loud. Because in a country where abortions are illegal - a woman's pregnancy becomes an interest of the state. ETA: I understood Paula to mean that whatever a person's private [religious or otherwise] positions on abortion may be most people's positions on choice [abortion] are pretty clear cut politically. Either someone is for choice or they are not. And that's been my experience as well. Sunny said something similar a few weeks ago when she said that her own religious beliefs did not allow for abortion she has no desire to apply those beliefs to every other woman although she called herself "pro-life". Fisher King April 1, 2016 Share April 1, 2016 I remember Joan Embery from The San Diego Zoo being on Carson. Jack Hanna got most of his notoriety from both of Letterman's late shows. Jack's always been a fast talker, bumbling in most of what he says. 2 Link to comment
Fatkat April 1, 2016 Share April 1, 2016 I lost respect for Jack Hanna when he defended the captivity of whales-- for money. Also, his rat-a-tat way of speaking makes my head spin. I'm not a fan. 6 Link to comment
TheGreenKnight April 1, 2016 Share April 1, 2016 (edited) Joy was back? Damn. I just assumed I had one more week free of Candace. As a LGBT individual actually living in North Carolina, I don't think I could've watched Candace babble offensive BS, so thanks Joy for taking time off at the perfect time.
