I loved seeing Jane Krakowski.  Aired 6/20. She's one of my favorites.  I think she's so talented and I just discovered that she played on one of my favorite soaps from yesteryear.  I do have a question though.  Why was she dressed like it's winter?  That show was filmed recently right?  Sandra Bernhardt had on a spring dress.  Jane had on dark, long sleeve, totally winter holiday type dress.  I don't get it.

Andy, the way you reacted when Savannah Guthrie leaned down towards your dog when he had his toy indicates the dog should not be on the show.  I know he's bitten Anderson Cooper (maybe more) and destroyed Harry Hamlin's (I think) glasses. You were obviously concerned he was going snap at or bite Savannah. I'm a huge dog lover, but, yours is a little outta control.

There has always been something off about Wacha (not sure how to spell it).  Either Andy is not the best dog-father or the dog is scarred from pre-rescue days (or maybe just born a certain way).   I tend to think it's a little of all of the above.   The dog does not appear to be responsive in general - not even to Andy.

I agree that it's probably a combo of all 3.  Andy reminds me of people I see at the dog park who come in on their phone as the dog charges in, jumps on people and starts fights with the other dogs.  As soon as the dog is in the park it's everyone's problem but the owner.  On the show, Andy just sits there and occasionally does his frowny face when the dog misbehaves.  I guess the answer is for me to not watch the show because it annoys me more than it should.

I don't think Wacha was this bad when Andy first got him.

I agree. I'm a dog lover, but Wacha is not ready for primetime. Andy's trying to be like Chelsea Handler but Wacha is no Chunk (and now Tammy). He has shown time and time again that he does not have the temperament to be in contact with a lot of strangers and especially with all of that stimulation with the audience and lights. Leave his ass at home lol.

The only problem with Wacha is his owner.  Andy doesn't know how to train/discipline his dog.  He has plenty of money, he should have had Wacha in obedience training.

I probably agree with the owner being part of the problem but the Wacha saga has been documented in both of AC's books.  So he's a rescue and most probably abused.  He arrives and everything is fine.  Then over time this behavior starts.  He is so bad that there are vet offices that won't see him.  AC gets tranquilizers for vet visits and apparently has no idea how to time them with visits.  He hires trainer after trainer.  By the end of the second book the dog was PTSD about a kennel and a leash and people approaching him.  He had drawn blood from AC and the other AC and numerous innocent people.

It was odd because in seeing the current Lena Dunham dog crisis this sounds like the same thing.  6 months of honeymoon and then Cujo.  I had totally been blaming Cohen but maybe this is a thing with some rescues.

And until you get a problem like this addressed you don't bring him around strangers in what he sees as his living room.  WTH?

  • Love 4

I have had 3 rescues and I guess I've been lucky because they've all been wonderful dogs.  However, they all have different personalities and different needs.  Wacha is apparently very high strung as is his owner.  As a matter of fact, Wacha's maniac behavior is not unlike his owner's.  I'm sure Andy loves him, but, Wacha obviously is not a dog that is good on a stage.  I blame Andy for putting the dog in such a stressful situation and for putting his guests in danger.  He may be a great dog at home, but, leave him at home.  Watching him tear through the studio grabbing stuff and guests recoiling is not entertaining.  And, it's not making anyone want to run out an adopt a dog.   Andy seems pretty self absorbed and I'm not sure he sees how bad the dog behaves. Hence, the frowny face.  Part of the dog's behavior may be because Andy finds it entertaining.

Between work and partying I doubt Andy is home all that much, and when he is, I'm sure it's the creatures of a two-legged variety that get all his attention.  Andy got a rescue dog because it sounds really cool to millenials in the clubs.

Personally, I love it when Wacha comes out, he tears thru the studio, gives Andy a cursory glance, then goes on his merry way!

Our dog is a rescue and it was the opposite of some of ya'll's rescues. He was a terror at first. He hated all men. He snapped and growled every time my husband came near him or any man walked in our house. He messed in the house. When we went out, he would pull down the trash can and drag everything out of it. My husband said he wouldn't have a dog in the house that hated him. I pleaded with him to just give it a chance. We trained him, we were patient, it took some time. He grew to love and trust us. Now he is the perfect dog. Not kidding. Perfect. And cute as a button.

Did  he mention in either book if he tried putting Wacha on anti-depressants or something for anxiety full time?

I don't remember that but this was audio while I worked out so I could have missed it.  He didn't have problems giving him sedatives for vet appointments so I doubt he nix it.  I remember thinking at least one of the specialists was a real fraud.  But he was trying everything.

He has a dog walker that Wacha stays with when he's out of town.  He believes that Wacha loves the dog walker more than him.  But that said he really makes the dog a priority in his life.  It's just that the dog has issues.

I don't see how Wacha can be such a priority in Andy Cohen's life when he spends so much time traveling, celebrity ass-kissing, and partying in between his work schedule. While plenty of busy people own dogs, I have to give the sideeye to Andy claiming the dog is such a priority in his life.

If Wacha is resource guarding and has a tendency to nip at strangers, you'd think it would occur to Andy that he shouldn't bring Wacha onto the show. Plenty of dogs that don't have issues with nipping would be overwhelmed and stressed out by all the stimuli of a live studio audience, much less one with a history of behavioral issues. That Andy seems so clueless about how to handle Wacha's issues is just irresponsible dog ownership, IMO.

Andy comes across as someone who enjoys the "look at my expensive designer handbag" quality of having a dog as an accessory as opposed to being someone who is actually attentive to what his dog needs. Fortunately for Andy (less so for Wacha), he's successful enough that he can just throw money at his dog's problems and then ignore the issues during the periods of time he's with Wacha.

I have a soft spot in my heart for Wacha because I had a rescue that looked like him but with basset hound legs. He was a "Bagel" sort of a basset/beagle mix that was high strung around people but not a nipper just a toddler toppler if I wasn't careful. Great and calm in home companion with me but high strung around others. Wacha seems similar in that way and needs to be worked with if Andy wants him around others.

She's also friends with Tamra, she isn't picking sides.  The only person she isn't getting along with (albeit so far) is Shannon.

We'll see. I don't really understand  anyone defending a person who worked with her boyfriend on a cancer scam. I don't like how self righteous she is. And I really don't like her dissing her middle son on T. V. Nope. I don't like her.

When did Jada Pinkett Smith start looking like Madame The Puppet?

Andy with the sneaky shade---asking about Tom Cruise and his weird, Scientology hide-n-seek antics.  I wanted him to ask if she's still cool with Leah Remini  to see how she'd squirm.

I love me some Queen Latifah but I just can't with this new film.

I saw the movie today - normally I'm a sucker for these types of flicks but it was HORRIBLE.  I'm shocked it has a high Rotten Tomatoes score.

Jada is so annoying, but she has been charming on several shows I've caught her on.  She looked great in Girls Trip.

Wow, Jeff Lewis going off about Heather (OC), what was that about??

Jeff and Heather were at the same party last year. Jeff said Heather was incredibly rude to the wait staff at the party/dinner and he called her out on it right there! Needless to say, Heather fancypants was furious. They were in some pretty heated twitter wars when it all happened, that has probably died down now. It's safe to say they cannot stand each other.

Thank you, @BICHONBLITZ.

That actually makes me like Jeff more.

Haha Andy, you dumbass idiot. Reading those stupid cards of his. Andy: Jeff, one of our viewers wants to know if you are a top or a bottom? Jeff, Flashing Andy a look of disgust: No, we're not doing that.  This is why I love Jeff Lewis. He may be moody and high strung on his show but he isn't going to take any shit. And it can't be said enough, Andy is a total moron. Way to make your guest as uncomfortable as you possibly can.

LOVE Toni Collette.  It's funny--I never realized how many moms she's portrayed but she has some awesome mom credentials.

Halle looked great but that movie.  OMG, why do I feel like she'll be up for her next Razzie?  And her reaction to that Adrien Brody kiss was funny.  I love me some Adrien Brody and that kiss makes me swoon whenever I see it.  It bums me out to know that she wasn't into it.

It was Shannon Beador's vow renewal. It's funny that the camera never managed to catch Heather being rude to the staff. They've caught her being bossy, demanding, and imperious, but never really rude. They've caught Vicki and Ramona being rude. The camera caught Jeff cracking multiple jokes about Vicki being a surprise attendee to the vow renewal.

It's not that I don't believe that Heather could be rude to staff. It's just that Jeff Lewis is so inappropriate, ill mannered, and rude that I doubt his interpretation of the events. He should have had a complaint filed against him years ago.

The other thing is that Jeff and Heather didn't start sniping at each other until Jeff told this story on an earlier episode of WWHL.

That kiss makes you swoon? We've known since it happened that Halle was not into it. As he starts his speech, the camera catches her wiping her face and looking pissed because she doesn't think the camera is on her.

LOL.  Yes,  it does Hunter and you can remove the judgment from your "voice" thankyouverymuch. But then, I have a serious crush on Brody.  All jokes aside though,  I didn't know she was pissed about the kiss.  I remember thinking that I hoped Eric Benet wouldn't kick his ass but then I thought that even Eric would appreciate Adrien's pure exuberance at being handed an Oscar from one of the most beautiful women in the world.  It was funny to see her honest reaction this many years later.

I was more surprised than anything. Maybe there was some judgment, but I legitimately have never heard anyone express that they thought that kiss was romantic. I was sincerely surprised. In actuality, I did some searching online after reading your initial post. There were people who felt like you did especially immediately after the Oscars. That was news to me. So you're not alone.

Interesting to me that AB has people with crushes on him because he's always made my teeth itch and that's not a good thing.
