So Colin gets others to watch soccer. Neat. Liked that Sean Maguire and Rebecca Mader were quite passionate about the worldcup in summer by the way (and too bad, they women's worldcup in Canada next year will be at a time they likely won't be filming regardless if they get a new season, the final is first July weekend in Vancouver).

The onceabc tumblr just posted a vine of Regina telling Emma that she didn't want to kill her, and tagged it #swanqueen with a freaking heart icon next to the tag. Seriously, this isn't officially queerbaiting? Is that line supposed to be romantic? In what planet am I living?

It seriously reminds me of Teen Wolf again. A lot of Teen Wolf's official social media accounts regularly queerbaited Stiles/Derek fans, to the point where people were actually thinking the ship would happen. Then Sterek didn't happen and that's when the fun started. Now the showrunner is much more gun-shy about engaging fans on social media.

Yeah, I have to say that with this last episode the show crossed the line into queerbaiting where Emma and Regina is concerned (I think they've done it before, but on the Mulan/Aurora front). Uck. Not cool, show. Now I feel grody when I thin about you and want to take a shower.

So this combines media and fashion, but I'm putting it in here for arbitrary reasons:

http://extratv.com/2014/10/26/is-frozen-s-elsa-getting-a-once-upon-a-time-makeover-this-season/

ExtraTV.com caught up with Georgina Haig, who plays the princess on the hit show, and she confessed that she’s rooting for an Elsa makeover.

“I would like Emma to give Elsa a bit of a makeover, because I think Elsa would love a pair of jeans in Storybrooke, because her dress catches on a lot of trees and gets very muddy. Emma is so practical. We are out running errands and she is nearly tripping on this cape. Emma would get out a pair of scissors, she would have been, like, jeans, t-shirts, go. It would be cool to have a makeover montage, where she practical-izes Elsa.”

I would totally love to see Emma giving Elsa a makeover. Or they could give each other makeovers. Emma would give Elsa a pair of jeans and a jacket. And Elsa would be all, "You should wear more sparkles!" and proceed to put sparkly pink eyeshadow or something on Emma.

OH, and I forgot about the wine. They'd drink wine and gossip and as they get drunker, the makeup would get more outrageous and Elsa would be wearing, like, neon green nail polish. And maybe Emma would try on Elsa's dress and then Elsa would braid Emma's hair and Emma would rock the straightener on Elsa's hair.

I'm betting this was the reason for the purple cape. They probably found it pretty difficult to film with Elsa wandering through the woods after Anna.

Even worse, Lana retweeted it on Twitter (as I posted in the Fandom thread).  She's lost her damn mind, I think.

Actually, it's rather smart of Lana. I think it's totally queerbaiting, but the Swan Queen fandom (who are a lot of the staunchest Evil Regals) thinks Parrilla walks on water and can do no wrong. They're never going to call her out for queerbaiting. So Parrilla will get "credit" for it and take no flack for it--a win-win for her.

Read through the questions, and it's no wonder the show is the way it is, since it seems to be trying to satisfy the various vocal groups.  I see more posts calling for more Rumple-Charming bromance than scenes for Charming/Emma and Snow/Emma (which are zero).

I kinda want to ask if there will be any scenes between Snow and Emma that will touch upon Snow's confession in Echo Cave that Emma isn't what Snow wanted. I mean, it's a 0.0000001% chance that the answer will be "Yes", but still...

ETA: I have no self-control today. I asked the question. And I'm sure it will never be picked or answered, but at least I asked.

I asked some legitimate questions, but i didn't use the EW hashtag, so they'll probably never be seen. I also posted them in reply to Adam's retweet of that person's original post, so That probably diminishes any chance of them being answered. Maybe I'll try again using the original post.

Never mind, my questions show up. Also, I totally just asked if we would ever see Charming's glorious Fabio hair again. I couldn't help it.

I have. It's an interesting read and it doesn't really justify Regina or anything. It does desperately try and retcon the rape implications via some of the events that occur over the course of the storyline.

But, how do you retcon that?  She was someone he didn't like and was afraid of, and she not only had a remote control for him (his heart), but had set up his personality and the relationship into the Storybrooke scenario.

I know Parilla and A&E have downplayed what that means, but how on earth did they try to make that a consensual relationship?

In the story

the Huntsman steals his heart back from The Evil Queen but then returns it to her in order to let Snow and Red escape.

That's really annoying. Like, don't try to *fix* the rape, mkay? It's like on Gossip Girl, when they half-assedly pretended Chuck didn't try to rape Jenny, but she had to get revenge on him anyway, and oh, it was just a big mess. Same with Damon on Vampire Diaries. It's annoying EVERY TIME. Goddammit, if you don't want your character to be a rapist, THEN DON'T WRITE HIM/HER AS A RAPIST. And the other thing I don't understand is why people try to explain away these characters' actions. I LOVED Evil Regina! She was a great character! She raped a guy, that meant she was REALLY EVIL. Just because I like her evil character, doesn't mean I'm okay with rape. But when you take that rapist character and try to twist things around to make their actions okay, that is rape culture AND it's telling a bad story. This person is a rapist, but oh, there were circumstances, so not really, so uh...NOW THEY'RE REDEEMED! Bleah. It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth all around.

Yeah, M&G with Lana is sold out because she's been on the guest list for a while. Colin was just added today. That's gonna sell out fast too, though. Hopefully people spring for the Meghan M&G too! How awkward would that be if no one does.

I'll post the link for the People's Choice Awards when they become available.

For now, both Jennifer and Ginnifer were nominated as favorite actress in a sci-fi TV show and Ginnifer and Josh were nominated for favorite duo.

I am, too. I look forward to those pics every day.

So do I.  I take my hat off to the lady for staying so positive and going out of her way to be nice to her fans online, in spite of all the crap she regularly gets from a few assholes who are the general reason that we can't have nice things.

Aww, both Ginny and JMo nominated as fave TV Actress. They're gonna split the Once fans votes :(

Nice that Snowing is nominated this year since CS was nominated last year for Favourite Couple. Of course, the tweens rule this thing and Delena is gonna win.

Do we know how much stock the writers and such put in these? Because I find it interesting that as much as the Regina fans are very, very loud, Lana's name isn't up there (and hasn't been before, if I recall correctly).

That's a good point--but, then, I don't have a clue how the nominees are chosen.

Probably not a lot. I can't remember if Lana was ever nominated either. This award show, just like many of the big award ceremonies like the emmys, etc. typically always nominate the same-old "safe" shows or people (Sorry, but I feel like Ginny falls under this category :( ). But at least the people have a chance of getting a character nominated by writing him or her in.

Yeah, I don't, either. I do know that there's the write-in section, like HoodlumSheep said. I have no idea if the write-ins have ever actually gotten someone nominated, though.

This is what the terms & conditions says about noms:

The list of potential nominees for PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS 2015 were determined by national ratings averages, box-office grosses, music sales and PeoplesChoice.com data, then vetted through EPoll Market Research. This process generated a list of the top candidates per category.

I suspect that studios, networks and publicists also have a hand in pushing certain nominees via that vague "vetted through" wording, but that may just be my cynical side showing.

They say they vet it through Epoll Market Research, which is a company that tracks data about entertainment industry. It's one of the rivals of Marketing Evaluations, the company that puts out Q scores, which is probably still the predominant one. Epoll named theirs E-scores. I don't know if networks or studios would actually care to put in effort to push anything. It ain't exactly the Emmys.

One of the metrics used is probably number of twitter followers. That sector of the population is most likely to vote in these things.
