Butch and his prison sock toys and flowing mane steal the show. I wish they would do a butch spin off. I would be glued! I was wondering though if going to bars/strip clubs isn't a parole violation. Didn't he say he can't be around drugs OR alcohol as one of the terms of his probation?

He did say that. While at a restaurant. One that I'm sure serves alcohol. Hmmm.

My husband walked in on my watching the last five minutes of the second episode - Farrah reaming her mother out while asking her a huge favor - and pronounced this "the worst thing on television." I'm pretty sure he doesn't respect me quite as much as he did yesterday.

Is MTV really going to burn through this show at a two-episode-per-week clip? Even they know it's awful.

Butch was in prison....in Michigan...for four years. And comes out with a fully deep tan. Alright then!? That was so odd.

Farrah is horrible. She is just so fake and rude and obnoxious. She goes to the beach in full makeup and a bathing suit. But almost completely covers herself up. I am fine with people being concerned about getting burnt or getting skin cancer, but where is the hat and umbrella that most people would use. NO she didn't use any of that because then nobody would see her. And she had to be on full view for her supposed audience. The way she treated Debra in that restaurant made me feel so horrible for Debra. I don't condone violence, but I feel like she has used that one incident when Debra smacked her to hold over her for the rest of their lives. she should feel lucky that that was the only time she was hit. And what the heck is wrong with Farrah anyway, why was she so vicious and demanding about how Debra takes care of Sopia. Its not like Debra hasn't take care of Sophia before. Was Farrah ever neglected as a child? For some reason, I can't see it. Michael and Debra seem way to obsessed with her to have ever ignored her. Farrah treats everyone like they are her hired hands. She acts like she is a Kardashian or something. 

I know I must be in the minority but I like Maci. I want to smack the life into Ryan though. Has anyone considered having him tested for depression or something...or drugs. He is just so out of it all the time. I think Larry and,crap can't remember themoms name, are great. But they can kick him out. They can force him to grow up. Or at the least not allow themselves to be responsible forhim. I think they are afraid they will lose out in seeing Bentley if they force their hand on Ryan though. In a normal family situation, grandparents would not have as much time with a grandchild as they do if it wasn't for Ryan living with them and being so uninvolved with Bentley. They have been lucky . And Maci has been lucky to have them as well. I wish they all could come to an agreement without any of them getting hurt. I wonder as well where are Maci's parents in all of this. They aren't even involved in Jade's life it seems. 

Amber, I'm not even sure about that hole group. I did feel like Leah was playing her parents agaisnt each other. IT was really weird that all of a sudden, it seemed she no longer watned to be around Amber. It makes me wonder about two things: Is gary and his girlfriend talking crap, or has something happened with Simon.

Cateynn, I adore her the most. Man Tyler is something else. I really wish the best for them. At their happiest they are the cutest couple ever, but when you look deeper at the two them it gets kind of scary.

Maci- I think she's a good mom and baby Jayde is very cute.  Hopefully she and Rahhn's parents can work out a schedule that will make them all happy. I think only Rahhn is responsible for screwing up the mud run. I agree that he could have just said no and not agreed to do it.  Bintlee is such a cutie and is so gentle and adorable with his new sister.  He seems like a pretty happy, well adjusted kid.  Oh, and I think Taylor would rather chew off his hand than get married. The end.

 

Catelynn- She is so sweet and loving yet that poor girl just always seems ready to burst into tears.  Her dress was lovely for her and I believe the overlay was just for the ceremony.  I don't think they had it in a church, but sometimes for religious reasons the bride's shoulders are covered during the ceremony.  I was glad to see Cate out walking with the baby.  I hope their marriage is a lasting one, and I think if Cate can discover an identity outside of Tyler and their relationship, they may have a chance.  I think this is a wait and see. 

 

Amber- Gary is a mindfucker.  Not sure what is going on with Leah, but I wouldn't put anything past Gary.  I'm sure Amber is no barrel of fun when Leah is visiting, but was she ever? Really?  Why the sudden change? Could be Leah wants to be around the new baby, or maybe she's jealous OF the baby.  I am also jumping on the band wagon of hope that Leah's reaction has nothing to do with Matt.  Oh and also?  I'll be the first one to say it here: Gary's mom is on something.  When they were talking on the porch?  She couldn't sit still for a second, all twitchy and moving around, eyes closing and rolling in her head at the end of the conversation, and not that she was ever um, stylish, but the greasy hair, and clothes are not the Carol of green eye shadow and clown makeup of recent episodes that we have come to expect.  Something is going on with Carol.  I can spot that shit a mile away.

 

Farrah- There is something really, really wrong with her.  The meeting on the back patio with her friend?  Both in maxi dresses, wearing lipstick, and done up like they were ready for their next porn shoot?  I kept waiting for the "pizza delivery" guy to show up and ask how big the bedrooms were in the house. Geez. I felt weird just watching them talk and then eat cotton candy, I had the remote in hand ready to turn it off if they started smearing it on each other and the licking it off after Sophia got shooed away into the house.  Uncomfortable.  And just what in the fuck was that conversation with Debra at the end of the second episode?  Don't use too much soap in the laundry?  Wait, it's not about the soap? Nannies get fired.  You're just a relative.  Just what in the what was going on there?  And Sophia smacking the shit out of her mother while she was talking? I would have smacked my mother like that once and then it would have been "fade to black" in a NY minute.  I still can't wrap my brain around what was going on there other than the fact that watching Farrah almost scares me.  I don't even think a beat down could fix that level of crazy.  Should be very interesting to see what that hot mess is in 10 years.

I noticed the scooter lift on the back of Gary's truck too. I wonder if he used one down there. The way Leah talked about him not doing things with her at Disney, I figured she meant not doing the rides...because of course he couldn't fit in the teacups/Dumbo etc. And what was with Amber saying that he wasn't a good dad? He sure isn't perfect, but BooBoo seems to have turned out well on his watch when she was on drugs/in prison. She seems bright and articulate, and was clean and well taken care of even before Kristina came into the picture.

 

It's totally Rahhhn's fault for even acting like he would show up, but that was such an odd invitation. They have never gotten along or seemed like friends, even when they were a couple, so why would he be hanging out as an outsider to her group of friends and baby daddy? It's irrational, but I just do not like Maci. 

 

Tyler's face was a color close to Butch's, even though his legs were white as hell. Maybe their latino coloring really comes out, even with a little bit of sun. We've really only ever seen him as a junkie mole who only came out at night, so he might have some more natural melanin than we're used to seeing on him. I loved that big beautiful flowing hair on tan, swole Butch. He looked healthy being clean. I wonder how Nick gets on with April's new hubby. That poor kid...so little stability in his life. On a shallow note, why are all the women in this group so old looking? Even the young ones like Cate and Ashley (is that Tyler's sister's name?) look at least 10 years older than they are. 

 

When Simon looked at the producer and said "are we done here?" like he was asking if the scene was over, that told me everything I needed to know about his "role" in Farrah's life. I honestly don't know how she gets second dates. What an asshole she is. 

 

Whenever I see Sophia, I just get an image of her standing over me as I sleep, and I awaken suddenly as she is illuminated in a flash of lightning. The horror.

I wondered that too about Matt, just because I always worry about men who date women with young children and a history of bad judgement, but I am actually taking Leah's complaint at face value. I mean, we've seen Amber loaf around for years now. I think Amber made a greater effort in the beginning and has completely lost interest at this point. Staying at their house is probably boring.

 

As far as Maci, I missed part of the conversation. Does she want to stop Bentley's visits with Jen and Larry, or just not do it every weekend? If it's the latter, I'd say it's justified that she wants to spend some weekends with her son, and may feel like it's one thing to sacrifice her time for the other parent, and it's another to do it for the other parent's parents. However, because it's Maci, my feeling is she wants to threaten to reduce or eliminate visits in the hopes that it will cause Jen and Larry to apply pressure to Ryan to be around more. Maci can say it's for Bentley's sake all she wants, but I think Maci likes knowing where Ryan is, and knowing that for at least 2 days out of the week, Ryan's not rubbing up against some other girl. Just my opinion.

Amber does not like child rearing.  Actually, Amber does not like anything that requires any type of work or effort.  I agree she probably suffers from clinical depression, but is probably trying to stay away from the drugs at this point. 

 

If she did not have Mtv money, she would be forced outside to engage the world.  However, with the money she hide for as long as she wants.  I would not be surprised if she starts to develop some sort of  agoraphobia.

Not to be mean, but Gary is probably too fat to do anything at Disney World. He sure as shit wouldn't be able to walk the park more than 15 minutes. Unless he had a scooter.

He would have had a heat stroke + heart attack if he tried to walk around Disney World during the time they went. It's been hotter than hell down there this entire year and that still part of the hot season (I know someone that just went after xmas and it was still high 80s).  Gary never would have survived.

Amber made it seem like Gary didn't go on the vacation AT ALL. Of course she doesn't know but that's what she gathered from Leah's comment.

 

When was this filmed? I'm wondering how long Butch has been out in real time.

I used to not mind her but every one of her scenes these two episodes was horrible. And her child is a holy terror. Poor things.

 

 

I wonder why Ryan actually got up to go to the mud room and then changed his mind in a matter of minutes? He was in bed, got up when they got there, ran out to talk to them, then went inside and went back to bed?

And I don't ever remember my parents taking me to school for a first day so I don't hold that against him.  I think I walked to school everyday lol

My school had a deal where you would come in before the first day of school so you could figure out where you class was, meet your teacher and get your stuff set up.  Those were at night so both parents could attend.

You either want it or you don't. Using Babies/kids as an excuse annoys me to no end. Especially in their situation. Neither of them work, Tyler is clearly there to watch Nova for an hour a day. Even if Tyler did work and she stayed home, there is time to work out during naps or prop her in her swing near your gym equipment. I can't stand to hear those excuses! When there's a will, there's a way! And why was Butch so freakishly tan right out of jail?

And still, Farrah is the only one doing anything at all. Leah got it right that Amber just sleeps and sits on the couch all day. Maci I haven't a clue what she does all day. They dropped off Bentley at school and said there were both headed to work, so maybe they do?

Ryan still has no interest and the only reason Bentley visits on the weekends is for Jenn and Larry.

What on earth was Farrah going on about with the washing machine.  Does she think that if her mother does a less than full load that it will effect Sophia's life?  And the way she speaks to her???  I know that both Farrah's parents are terrified that she will take away their granddaughter forever but really to be treated that way I just can't.  

 

As odd as it is I find myself partially agreeing with Amber,  Not that she should have 50-50 custody but that they should have a set visitation schedule.  It is not fair to ask a 6 year old to have that kind of responsibility and uncertainty.  I actually think if she went to court she would likely get a formal visitation schedule.  I have a 6 year old and from time to time she will tell anyone that I don't play with her and that she gets bored, she doesn't necessarily see that if I don't clean the house or do laundry or cook dinner, we live in squalor with no clean clothes and we don't eat.

 

I did my first mud run this fall and I loved it.

Having a newborn baby is a HUGE adjustment and 60 pounds is a lot of weight to lose.  I'm not hating on Cate for not losing the weight before her wedding.  I'm sure she's beat herself up enough about it.

Yes, I heard her say "not every weekend" about Bentley at the grandparents house.  I never got the impression she was taking away all time with them.  I totally agree it makes sense in the context you describe--I was thinking the same thing.  The weekends are when you have time to do things together, etc, so you would want some of them for yourself if the other parent isn't going to spend time with their child anyway.

 

Yea, that's how I took it and I don't have a problem with it at all. However, I was really put off by her refusal to have a discussion with Larry and Jen about it. She was worried they'd be upset, so she's just going to ignore the entire situation. Nice.

 

 

As odd as it is I find myself partially agreeing with Amber,  Not that she should have 50-50 custody but that they should have a set visitation schedule.  It is not fair to ask a 6 year old to have that kind of responsibility and uncertainty.

 

I completely agree with this. I think that might be part of what is effecting Leah, but she's not mature enough to figure that out and verbalizing it. Kids crave routine. To just randomly have nights at Amber's when the adults feel like it is no good for her. I don't know if I'd jump straight into 50-50. I'd be more apt to give Amber every other weekend and Wednesday evenings for dinner or something like that. See how it goes. But that way Leah would know exactly what to expect. She'd find comfort in that, and also wouldn't be indulged when she decided she didn't want to stay - because that's the schedule.

Butch was in prison....in Michigan...for four years. And comes out with a fully deep tan. Alright then!? That was so odd.

 

I don't want to alarm all of the people asking about Butch's tan here, but a lot of jails have outside time, and Michigan is the upper midwest, not Antarctica.  If he was released in August, he's had 3+ months of beautiful, sunny weather.  Even in Michigan.  I promise.

Sophia is a scary child. It's not her fault, she was doomed from the start with Farrah as a mother but good lord she's scary. I wonder how she behaves in school. Despite all his positive talk and baby sniffing enthusiasm I don't think Butch will stay out of trouble for too long. 

 

I hate Maci, but what I hate more than Maci is when Ryan acts like a douchebag and fuels her "Woe is me I'm an amazing mom and Ryan is so awful" superiority complex. I always want to root for Ryan but he's almost always a disappointment. Also Maci needs to take out those fucking ear gauges. She's a mother of two and she still dresses like a trashy teenager.... Which I guess is fitting, because she never grew out of a high school mentality.

If what you guy's are saying about Farrah's family Christmastime is true, then these people are being extremely irresponsible with the money.  Farrah has always tried to come off richer than she actually is.  Do you guys remember how she claimed she was paid millions for her porn,,,I mean sex tape?  Later, it came out she was only paid something like 10K. 

 

I am sure she does quite well for herself with the reality shows and the porn, but it is an income stream that is not going to last forever.

I lost count with how many times I saw Cate chewing on her nails and how  many times her mouth was shut tight as she chewed on them bits of nail. I guess a manicure is not part of her life. Did she have her nails done for her wedding? She must have had fake nails put on.

Right. I remember the first dress and the fitting scene.  I just could have sworn I heard her say she bought the dress six years ago. I didn't think it was that long ago.

Except Cate mentioned she never lost the weight from her first pregnancy. Cate actually said, "I couldn't fit into the dress because of all the weight I put on from BOTH pregnancies." (paraphrasing). How long ago was that first pregnancy? It's one thing to try and fit into a wedding dress or any clothes a few months after giving birth. But, if one is planning to wear a wedding dress that they bought four years prior and then went and had another baby after having bought that wedding dress, then Cate should have 1) lost the weight from this pregnancy or 2) buy another wedding dress.

 

Cate mentioning the weight gain and never losing it is just another reminder, to me, of how she is not very motivated or serious about losing any weight.

I understand they have outside time in jail, and that Michigan has sunny weather. I'm from northern Ohio, I get it.  It still seemed like a freakishly dark tan to me. But as someone else pointed out, he is Mexican and therefore tans really well.
