Browncoat February 23, 2015 Share February 23, 2015 At least Grand Budapest won something! I loved that movie. 4 Link to comment
dubbel zout February 23, 2015 Share February 23, 2015 (edited) Take your time, Milena. Everyone has all night. I'm glad she won—The Grand Budapest Hotel is great—but wow. Edited February 23, 2015 by dubbel zout Link to comment
MostlyC February 23, 2015 Share February 23, 2015 YAY for Grand Budapest Hotel! They deserve some oscars. Such a gorgeous looking movie. 1 Link to comment
bmoore4026 February 23, 2015 Share February 23, 2015 Lady costumes for a bunch of boring ass movies I've never seen. 1 Link to comment
aradia22 February 23, 2015 Share February 23, 2015 Have most of these people worked with her? This costumer is getting an unusually large amount of applause. (Not unwarranted I'm sure but the actors usually suck at applauding fairly for everyone.) Link to comment
chitowngirl February 23, 2015 Share February 23, 2015 See, now J-lo's dress makes sense since she is presenting Costume Design. 1 Link to comment
thuganomics85 February 23, 2015 Author Share February 23, 2015 Haven't seen Grand Budapest Hotel, but I'll all for any movies that doesn't look like a typical period piece, winning Costume category. 2 Link to comment
CPP83 February 23, 2015 Share February 23, 2015 This may be the first winner who gets played off the stage before she even gets up there. 3 Link to comment
loriro February 23, 2015 Share February 23, 2015 I thought this was an obnoxious comment and ruined the start of the ceremony for me. Considering there's been a lot of publicity this year about the recent and long-standing historical absence of minority nominees/winners I thought it was really timely and topical. And just the kind of acerbic comment that the industry needed to hear. 14 Link to comment
aradia22 February 23, 2015 Share February 23, 2015 Nope. Not a fan of Reese Witherspoon's dress. The width of the bands don't flatter her frame and the frowny shape is just odd. 1 Link to comment
FormerMod-a1 February 23, 2015 Share February 23, 2015 I mostly like Reese's dress, but why doesn't she want to be able to move her arms? 1 Link to comment
Browncoat February 23, 2015 Share February 23, 2015 Yay again for Grand Budapest! Although I would have liked to see Guardians of the Galaxy take this one. 1 Link to comment
CherryMalotte February 23, 2015 Share February 23, 2015 I didn't think too much of GBH as a flick, not a Wes Anderson fan, but in an odd way it might end up with a substantial amount of Oscars tonight. Not liking Reese's dress. It's a lovely dress, but looks odd on her. Link to comment
OriginalCyn February 23, 2015 Share February 23, 2015 Back-to-back wins for Grand Budapest Hotel - Wheeee! 2 Link to comment
Howyougetthegirl91 February 23, 2015 Share February 23, 2015 I like J' Lo's dress. I agree that she could try a different color , though. 1 Link to comment
bmoore4026 February 23, 2015 Share February 23, 2015 Of course Grand Budapest won. Because superheroes can't win shit. And hey, I heard this music in Super Smash Bros. One of the Kirby stages. 1 Link to comment

aradia22 February 23, 2015 Share February 23, 2015 I can't tell if Neil's delivery is off or he's just getting awkward because of the energy of the crowd. It would be amazing if he could just turn on his Hedwig persona and really give them a piece of his mind. ;) 3 Link to comment
Thumper February 23, 2015 Share February 23, 2015 I like JLo's dress too. It's nice to see her in something that's not pasted to her body. This shows off her breasts, but still is "pretty." 1 Link to comment
Mumbles February 23, 2015 Share February 23, 2015 (edited) It's lovely how genuinely happy Wes Anderson looks when his peeps win. And they seem genuinely grateful and fond of him. So how soon will we get the angry tweets and/or open letters to Hollywood from people mad that NPH made a joke comparing Chris Kyle's kill record to a Hollywood Producers morning? I really wish I was joking, but mark my words. Yeah, the crowd at Fox and Friends will be righteously indignant tomorrow. For weeks they've been discussing how all the Hollywood lib'ruls hate American Sniper. They got a real messed-up way of showing it - nominating it for lots of awards. Hate me too, Hollywood lib'ruls! I can't tell if Neil's delivery is off or he's just getting awkward because of the energy of the crowd. This is a notoriously hard room to work. Jon Stewart, Letterman, Rock have all commiserated in interviews with other hosts. Most of these people are uptight and take themselves VERY seriously. This ain't the Tonys (the theater crowd is a lot looser and self-deprecating.) Edited February 23, 2015 by Mumbles 4 Link to comment
Umbelina February 23, 2015 Share February 23, 2015 Worst Oscars in a while. I know that, because I'm feeling some nostalgia for "WE SAW YOUR BOOBS!" 10 Link to comment
Misslindsey February 23, 2015 Share February 23, 2015 It would be amazing if he could just turn on his Hedwig persona and really give them a piece of his mind. ;) That would be amazing. I think hosting the Tony's is more in his ballpark. He does great with that. His Emmy hosting was lackluster for me as well. 1 Link to comment
CPP83 February 23, 2015 Share February 23, 2015 What a way to honour and introduce us all to some random kids we've never seen or heard about before by making them stand off to the side and give them all of five seconds of airtime so they could shove more useless and cringe worthy segments into a show that's already so overstuffed its' bursting at the seams. Ah, gotta love the good ol' Oscars' machine at work, it never, ever changes. Certainly not for the better. 5 Link to comment

aradia22 February 23, 2015 Share February 23, 2015 Nicole's in a super boring dress tonight. She also looks quite rabbit-y. 1 Link to comment
WendyCR72 February 23, 2015 Share February 23, 2015 I was just here for J.K. Simmons. I have heard of zip as far as the nominated movies or other actors go. Usually, there is at least something with buzz. This year? <Crickets> Well, maybe American Sniper has some. But as I haven't seen it yet... I guess what I'm saying is, now that I got what I wanted - for JK to emerge victorious - I'll be honest: I really don't care what happens now. At least it makes watching less stressful this year! 1 Link to comment
Rina99 February 23, 2015 Share February 23, 2015 Admittedly, I can't give a fair read on Neal Patrick Harris, mainly because I've been pissed since he was picked to host. I'm sick of seeing him host stuff. But to me the opening was lame, and his jokes are just plain terrible. 6 Link to comment

Serendipity February 23, 2015 Share February 23, 2015 I do not like Reese's dress or make up. Maybe it is because she will always be that obnoxious brat when stopped by police, to me. Link to comment
reggiejax February 23, 2015 Share February 23, 2015 (edited) I don't care how much botox Nicole Kidman has injected into her face, she clearly gets the good stuff. Her face may be stiff and expressionless, but it is the most beautiful, stiff and expressionless face in Hollywood. Edited February 23, 2015 by reggiejax 7 Link to comment
Misslindsey February 23, 2015 Share February 23, 2015 I feel like I could like Nicole's dress more if it had a different color belt. The red does not work for me. 2 Link to comment

hardy har February 23, 2015 Share February 23, 2015 Amending my prior formal request of Chris Evan Handsome-ness, Chiwetel Ejiofor needs to be on stage all night as well. Damn, he is a good looking man. 4 Link to comment
thuganomics85 February 23, 2015 Author Share February 23, 2015 (edited) Still Chiwetel Ejiofor won last year: his performance in 12 Years A Slave still sticks with me. It's just too bad that film came out right in the middle of the McConaissance. Oh, yeah! Foreign Film winner vs. the Studio Band! Edited February 23, 2015 by thuganomics85 Link to comment
