The real incentive is not to piss off affiliates coast-to-coast by having their local news anchors sitting on their ass and not sell any commercials while the Oscars run long. :)

The movie might have missed the mark in some ways but I am probably the biggest Cillian Murphy fan and I would just love to see him finally honored and acknowledged for his talents because I think he is just one of the best actors out there.

Meanwhile I go see movies almost every weekend (I have tons of Regal points to prove it). I just saw Game Night earlier today in fact. I’m taking the thanks personally.

How the hell would they even get there?  I was under the impression that all the streets near the Dolby Theater are basically closed to traffic unless you've got an Oscar ticket.
