And as annoying as Maxie has become, I also do not want Nina, of all people, getting one over on her.

I just want Maxie to suffer. A lot. She was talking in that baby voice today and whining about her career demise. All her careers fail because she won't invest any sweat equity. She wouldn't read any of the books she found on acting...she thinks she's a "natural" who can be herself without working at it. She did put some effort into learning how to "straddle" her partner effectively in sex scenes, but she's never heard of method acting, for example.

Poor kid needs a mentor. Maxie is incredibly naive. Maybe an interesting story might involve Maxie with a Svengali (an older man or an older woman) who purports to be a knowledgeable mentor and backer for her career, but slowly takes over her life instead and controls her, and lives through her. Or they could make the story brighter and let Maxie find a true mentor who would develop hidden talent in the girl through hard work and wise choices.

The Show already has a false mentor and Svengali for the young men: Sonny and his disastrous example....

Maxie had a mentor, when Kate was awesome Kate, I loved them working fashion together.  Maxie knows more then Nina about the fashion business and I bet Julian is going to regret the day he gave NIna the job.

I think she and Maxie are going to return Crimson to the glory it once was.

More rage: ding-aling Lulu all sobbby in Mommy's arms, casting all guilt on Dante and not even mentioning her own part in the debacle. Like, couldn't you trust your own husband to tell him WHY you were leaving him and the kid suddenly and going out of the country? All righty then!

Ignoring the circumstances and pain of loved ones is typical of Lulu, though - esp. when her actions have to do with Luke. When Lucky's heart was broken over the loss of Jake, Lulu pushed him to put his pain aside and go after their father because she was all "I need my dad in my life." Dante was along for the ride, including when Lulu put herself in danger at a brothel because she wanted to get her daddy back. This time, it was her idealized hubby hurting her because, on impulse, she wanted to go play hero and bask in Daddy's praise for helping re: Lucky. Running off to Canada and knowingly putting herself in danger again is understandable I guess because it's her family, but allowing her skill-less old friend/ex (a guy she hasn't seen in how many years) to come with her while lying to the man she's committed to who would protect her family and has actual people-saving skills is absurd.

I assume he got fired last winter after he got arrested and jailed for his part in Avery's kidnapping.  We haven't seen him at the hospital since he was with Carly.

Speaking of, I wonder if Carly is going to mention to her returned bestie how she spent a year sleeping with the SERIAL KILLER who terrorized him and his loved ones.

I hope because it bring up how little a damm Sonny gave about Jason during the Franco era because it distracted Jason from being an enforcer. I truly hate that triad from hell but I even felt sorry for Jason when his bestie seemed annoyed at Jason because he was worried about his wife during that period. Sonny was at his selfish best then.

I'm glad you informed me about this history. After thinking it over a bit, I want to take back my former wish that Maxie will suffer. If she did learn a lot from her former mentor Kate, then I would like to see the Show give her a chance to demonstrate and develop her savvy and expertise. Maybe Maxie will even become a mentor for Nina, teaching her true marketable skills in the fashion world so that Nina can mature and make up for her mistakes of the past.

I weirdly liked this episode. I don't even know why.

But that preview. I don't really even give a shit about Lulu/Dante but when he was talking to Valerie in the promo it made me feel some hardcore anger.

Lulu needs to get pregnant with Ensign mayo's triplets honestly.

I think they want me to ueber hate Maxie. First she says she would do the same thing Dillon did, then she whines about the movie, now they're sticking with Nina.

Still doesn't excuse him having actual sex with her cousin. Is she supposed to say "but I guess I kinda started it?" every time she wants to feel sad about it? She just found out two days ago or however long it is in PC time. And plus, she did mention she started it when she thought it was just a kiss. And he kept lying and lying to her even when she asked him point blank more than once, even when Dillon was running around insinuating stuff, not to mention that Dante keeps chatting up valerie and not setting bounderies. He let Valerie in their house! At this point, Lulu's lying is a distant speck compared to all the sins Dante has racked up.

I wonder how nuJason will react when/if he finds out that Sonny's organization had Shawn try to take him out.  However, I am having a senior moment because I can't remember if it was Sonny or Duke who ordered that hit.

Sonny ordered it because they thought Jake killed Duke.  (It was Carlos on Julian's orders)

I agree with you. Dante's behavior sucks. I was just responding to the poster who was disgusted by Lulu apparently telling her mom about what her husband's done while leaving any of her guilt out of it/disregarding her husband's feelings at that time. I was just pointing out this is in character for Lulu, that she has a history of disregarding others and putting herself in potential danger because of this desperate need for daddy's love/attention. I really wish Luke's cheating and impulsiveness had been brought up in the Laura-Lulu conversation instead of mildly referencing it in the Laura-Dante conversation.

Dillon wants to be with Lulu, not have a ONS. I think Lulu is being impulsive/lashing out as Laura just warned Dante she would do if she was pushed. She's repeating what Carly and Luke have both done in the past. She wants to block out the pain, using sex. She's her father's daughter for sure. She also wants to hurt Dante in return. I will guess throwing herself at Dillon just once and then walking away will be a F- You to him, too. Assuming she actually has sex with him in the next episode, I expect she'll say after "You humiliated because you wanted me. Ok, you've had me. Now get out of my place out business. I want you out of my life."

Of all the CORNY PLOT POINTS! Ewwww. I was thinking St Sabrina might do the hand cure on the Moobster's paralyzed thighs, but maybe the Show is saving that miracle for the Holy Hitman.

I was truly afraid for a while today that Jason's mere presence would allow Sonny to stand. So we dodged a bullet today. Here's hoping nuJason continues to show little or no interest in being either Sonny's or Carly's BFF.

If I was writing it that's what I'd do. Fuck 'im and forget him. Humiliate him. He was a sperm donor then and he's a dildo now. But soaps generally don't know how to write women that way. Or men, really - they tend to write both men and women who do that as being deeply hurt and just in their feelings, they're rarely allowed to vent their sexuality casually in any other way without it being a calculated choice, unless they're villains.

I know the Jason/Carly/Sonny scenes were supposed to be touching with all the lip quivering and tears, but I just found them silly.  I felt sorry for poor Jason who kept being grabbed by Sonny when you could tell he didn't want anything to do with either of them.  Fail.

Since we all know that the residents of PC seem to be loathe to using Birth Control, does anyone want to wager on who will have the next oopsie baby? Liz, Lulu or Sam?

They need to go back to the Gloria monty way who wasn't fond of giving characters an bunch of kids lol.

I don't think that when Nu Jason recovers his memory, he will not be the Jason that Sonny and Snarly knew and used. He has been disgusted by the violence that he is capable of.

I'm down with that.  Or her coming to her sense and leaving him with blue balls.

What I DON'T want is Dillon being the white knight and stopping the encounter.

Maxie (paraphrasing): Did you even research? Did you know how great Crimson was back when Kate ran it before her mental illness?

Me: You mean when she was actually played by a good actress?

I'm glad that at least Julian remembers what Nina did to Ava and Avery. And if it wasn't for his tax issues, he would never be hiring her.

Alternately, Nina could burn to death in a fire.

Now you're talking.

"Avery would be better off with Sonny". This coming from the woman who kept her child away from him. And of course now she feels sorry for him. You know, because he's in a wheelchair. Poor, poor Sonny. The violins are deafening. STFU, Alexis.

I loved Jason wanting to get the fuck away from Sonny. I hope he keeps doing it.

Why is every single blond headed boy on this show creepy as fuck? Jake (can we drop the Little now that Jason has been revealed?), Danny and Rocco. Well, I guess they all can't be as adorable as Avery.

Maxie absolutely will put in the sweat equity and time into her career, and she has been presented as a lot more savvy and street smart before Gavin Wolfe and Ron. Unlike Lulu, she actually applied for her job at Crimson with Kate and badgered people to write letters of recommendation (which is no different than anyone else). When Carly was talking Lulu into spying for her, Carly actually said that Maxie did an excellent job working at the MetroCourt boutique. When Kate gave her assignments to do, no matter how menial she did them or delegated them to Lulu without complaint, unlike Michael, who when Edward asked him to intern in one part of his company he told him that he thought it was boring and wanted to work in another sector, a statement that would get an other intern fired. And before you think think that Maxie was dumping work on Lulu, it was often presented that Maxie would cover for her when she was having her drama with Johnny. In fact, it was presented that she spent time covering for Kate when her relationship with Sonny would predictably engulf/ruin her life. Turning out a print media (or any professional media for public consumption) is not a easy endeavor in the slightest and you have to have an eye for detail to make sure ever page is perfect, pre and post production.

Of course if the magazine fails, it will be Maxie's fault because she won't be presented as the awesome business acuman of Carly or Michael, where the former basically fucked her way into her position and the latter had the good fortune of being the only male descended of legitimate Quartermaine first born men (Jason isn't legitimate or the first born). It won't be because print magazines in general have a high rate of failure in this day and age. One of my favorite fashion magazines, Lucky recently shut down, despite their efforts to modernize.

And why can't Maxie be a little miffed at Dillon. She worked hard to schmooze people and get money for his movie after he somehow managed to blow a half million dollars after mere months of shooting on a leaky boat. It would be one thing if Dillon replaced her with an actual actress but he was scrapping the entire thing because the muse wasn't speaking to him.

Jason either better not remember his life as CarSon's life fixer or have Morgan memories mixed in with his Q memories. Have Carly and Sonny suffer like Jason's blood family suffered. They should suffer more than the Qs because of the way they used Jason's amnesia and hostility towards his bio family against them to either torture the family and/or get what they wanted out of them. And my god, was Lila Q this much of a whiny little bitch when she was confined to a wheelchair?

How did Ava get custody of that baby? How did they not just give it to the nearest stork?

The judge should have demanded that Michael take Avery back as long as he doesn't live with either of his parents.

Someone please remind me..........JT is leaving but are they re-casting Patrick? Is that why KMc is returning, to escort both the actor and the character off screen?

They aren't doing much with Patrick other than patching up the assorted morons in PC and forgetting about Robin. They should just have Patrick take Emma and move near to wherever Robin ends up so Emma can be in regular contact with both of her parents, even if they don't get back together. That's my guess. If there was a casting call it has been kept quiet.

Well, there was the "Ben" casting call using an old Noah/Patrick scene and discussing "Liz" (Robin). So there was a thought, especially with his age being 32 to 37, that it was a possible Patrick recast. But that same casting notice was amended recently to having the character be British or Australian so it's likely a NuGuy and Patrick Drake leaves with JT.

Oh my. Watched the episode today. Nothing posted could prepare me for the greatest scene in a while. Jason basically being disgusted and annoyed with CarSon was amazeballs.

Jason: Rawr rawr, I can't deal shut up Carly.

Sonny: Bruh, you'll be good.

Jason: Yo. I just yelled at your wife. In your house. You mad bro?

Sonny: Nah fam. We good. You've done worse.

Jason becomes the voice of the audience, literally looking at Sonny/Carly like they're the most annoying, stupid people ever.

You sure Jake isn't AJ? Age be dammed, I see some Quartermaine tendencies. And lol he replied to them "Yeah, Monica told me that."

Sonny and Carly tearfully telling Jason what a savior he was to them (and conversely how Jason was saved by being taken into Sonny's fold) and him getting up and walking out was a thing of beauty.

After his ridiculous testimony whitewashing Sonny murdering A.J. while trying to portray that human filth as a "good and loving father who's made 'mistakes'" no way should he have access to that little girl either, imho.

Avery is best off being raised by complete strangers with no connections to any of her blood relatives. She needed to be placed in protective custody and given to a loving foster home until she's adopted out.

Seeing Billy and Laura and Maurice together was like a nightmare come to life. Between Billy's clenching and hard to hear/understand mumbling and Maurice sobbing like a bride on her wedding night and speaking unintelligibly but worse than usual and Laura being a bit spazzy playing an "emotional" Carly, it was a train wreck, imo.

How nice to see Julian catching a case of that selective amnesia going around town as he didn't seem to care/remember/recall all that the Nina did to his sister and daughter. That whole business is utter fuckary.

I can't with anything dealing with the cheating of Dante and all that fallout. Awful is one word which comes to mind though, sheer awfulness.

You missed her horribly offensive comments to Sonny (that she recorded, thus Scott playing the tape to the judge where Sonny threatens to shoot her so many times they won't be able to ID Da Body)? Seriously, there is "outrage" and people being "horrified" at what she said. Then compared it to a racial slur.

"It's not that you did anything stupid or self destructive, you just lived a dangerous life." Sonny to Jason about what killed him the first time.

What the fuck was Jason, a Christian living in the Middle East?A political dissent in North Korea or Cuba? A jew in 1937 Germany?  He was a hitman for the mob in a first world country, descended from a wealthy family. That is both stupid and self destructive. I loved how Carly and Sonny both declared that Sason were closer than brothers or how thanks to him she got to keep Michael. I hope he hears from Monica about fat AJ and what Sonny and Carly did to him.

Somehow I don't think falling on the floor laughing was the reaction I was supposed to have to the Sonny/Jason reunion. But come on, the way Sonny reached out for Jason's hand and took it in both of his, plus the look  of reverence on his face? Is the show seriously trying to tell us that Jason's return is the equivalent of Christ rising? I just can't. At least Jakeson looked like he wanted to bolt at the first opportunity, and he did. Sadly, as soon as he got home, his first memory was of Sonny. But it was nice to see him tell Carly to bug off lol!

I also want to add that the Liz scenes were hilarious as hell.

Liz: Bruh. Doesn't matter to me if yyou're married.

Jason: Um.... no?

Liz: But you promised ! And I love you and look at mah dress. And I have Boyz!

Jason: Um.... nah bruh. Can we chill?

Later on, Sam brings bike.

Sam: Yeah, dis your bike. You got lots of stuff, yo.

Jason: But I have this bike? For me? Squee!

Carly and Sonny never lose, but I'll enjoy Jason thinking they're crazy for as long as it lasts.

What in the world is Sonny's appeal to the other characters in his environment? (I asked myself.) Sonny knows, deep down. that he is too dangerous to be around. But he is a lonely guy who needs the illusion of having supporters and people who love and surround him. So Sonny (and now with the help of Carly) creates the illusion of a "false family" around himself and led by himself where members love and care and trust one another. He creates this false impression with his words (it's a story) and talks it up to give it "substance". Then he appeals to lonely and alienated people using a highly emotional pitch (and tears), trying to convince them that he "loves" them and is "closer than" family, Lonely and alienated people like Jason Quartermaine, Kiki, TJ, Michael Quartermaine, and even Carly herself, initially)  are attracted to this false, warm society that Sonny fabricates. Sonny sweetens the deal with money and favors. After attracting them, Sonny uses intimidation, threats, fear, and even terror to isolate them further until they start trusting, confiding, and needing Sonny and his false reinforcement. Sonny is conditioning them. You can count women, girls, men, young men, and even babies like Avery as his "recruits". Ava is fighting to keep Avery out of Sonny's false family of love.

Jason Quartermaine had bought into this psychological slavery and served Sonny well as an enforcer and murderer. NuJason still feels the effects of that old conditioning, but his "death" and disappearance have given him a life free of Sonny's pernicious influence, and he can smell a rat. He's more independent, and that has bought him freedom to make his own choices and be authentic. He senses that he is not a slave to Sonny and does not really owe Sonny or Carly anything out of "guilt" for their "tremendous love".

Yes. Sonny does love his children "more than anything else in the world"; but these "children" are controlled cult members. In exchange for his protection and favor, they must obey instantly and do his will utterly. For example, he expected Carly to skip the Jake/Liz wedding and turn up at the court, even if she had been in an accident. Sonny is a ego-centric monster, a devil with false promises of love who steals freedom and diminishes the lives of the weak and vulnerable "family" he attracts around him.
