I knew the Barney Miller reference was coming when they were naming old shows, but it was pretty cute anyway. Why was Scotty on a scooter?

Did we ever find out what that white horse was all about? Arya rode off on him at the end of the last episode, but was on foot when this one began. Was it a hallucination? I think maybe Drogon sensed the Targaryen in Jon—and Jon had ridden a dragon so they knew Dany was okay with him. Maybe that’s why he didn’t incinerate him. Bran almost had an expression for a minute. Tyrion must be a little OCD...he put all the chairs just so and then grimaced when everyone moved them. I thought that was funny.

    S08.E06: The Iron Throne

I thought it was a pretty satisfying ending; not exciting, but satisfying. Poor Drogon and his mother...I wonder where he took her? Ghost got his boy back! Seeing dead Jaime and Cersei was kind of sad, even if they were a couple of twisted individuals. I was afraid Grey Worm was going to do something to Jon there at the ships, but he just glared. Almost everyone got an okay ending except maybe for Jon, but I don't think he ever would have been happy as a ruler. Arguing about the merits of brothels, yay or nay, was kind of funny. And Tormund needed to go back and comfort Brienne! Come on, big guy. It's kind of like the ending to Lost--there are parts you like, and parts you just don't quite understand. But that's okay. I will miss the show, though.

Well, it ended with a whimper, not a bang. But that's okay, there were enough bangs leading up to the finale. Best part: Ghost got his boy back! Where were Jon and all those people headed at the end? Laughed at the conversation about the merit of brothels or not. Worst part: Tormund needed to go comfort Brienne. All in all, a pretty satisfactory end.

I admit that sometimes I'm doing other things while the show is on, but, did we ever actually see Ryan, or is that just a given that he's the one who killed the woman in the house and then tied up Laura and Curtis?

Maxie looked good for the first time in weeks. I like the straight hair on her, even if it wasn't real.

I thought that was kinda strange, too. What? She's going to get permission, write, and publish all before Sam's big set-up that night? Boy, Peter's publication must move at supersonic speed.

    S08.E05: The Bells

I didn't think it was that terrible. I was on the edge of my seat for most of it. Loved the Lannister brothers saying good-bye. Hid my face when The Mountain started to squish The Hound's eyes. And that is one ugly dude. Looked up the actor and he's only 30 years old! I'm going to go to my rocking chair and stay for awhile now. Really disappointed in Jaime. He's always been a favorite (mainly, and I mentioned this a couple episodes back, because I'm shallow and like to look at him) but they ruined him. I was so sure he was a changed man for the last few seasons, and suddenly he's back with his evil sister. I was so hoping he'd be faking us all out and would cut her throat. Oh well... Was that wildfire I glimpsed in some of the shots? Were there Dothraki in Dany's army? I thought they all died in the third episode. I know Grey Worm and Dany were all mad about Messandei and all, but did they have to go full-on crazy killers? Not cool, Dany, burning everyone after they surrendered. Still can't wait for the finale. I've stuck it out this long; I want to see how it ends, even if I'll be sad to see it go (and a little upset with some of the decisions made for certain characters).

Yay, Curtis and Drew got to be friends again! Nice scene.

Season 8: Speculation and Spoilers Discussion

I don't think the Starbucks cup was an accident. I think we've been watching Westworld: Medieval World all this time, and one of the paying guests left his coffee cup on the table after partying with the robots. Hey, crazier things have happened on this show!

Poor Tormund...although he seemed to rebound pretty quickly.

Nooo....Jon made his wolf sad. Bad Jon. Brienne finally gets some and then the guy leaves, probably to die.. I wonder if Kit Harington ever gets tired of the short jokes?

I’d forgotten that part. That was weird. Isn’t that part of the job—loading a body and strapping it down? Is there something upstairs the Quartermaines don’t want people to see...a gambling den, a bordello, more bodies? I guess they just wanted to make it even more poignant having the father carry his dead son. It was still weird.

Well, my allergies blew up again. No matter that Oscar wasn't a very well realized character and maybe the actor wasn't that great (I thought he was okay--a typical teenage boy), it's still sad to lose someone that young. Everyone's reactions were moving, and Drew and Joss were especially good. I just wish Drew had more to do; he's such a good guy and so comforting to Monica. Now, do they send him back to his closet and we'll only see him occasionally? For a cute kid, Cameron is an ugly crier. I appreciate that, and the fact that a teenage boy wouldn't want to show his emotions in front of people--not cool, you know. One thing I wondered about: why wasn't Oscar covered up when they took him away? Wouldn't he either be in a body bag, or covered completely? Nit picky, I know.

I thought today's show was well done. It took me a minute to figure out Oscar was dreaming (or something), but all those family members together and references to Quartermaines who have passed were very moving. Although Oscar never really caught on with a lot of viewers, it's still sad when a young person dies, so I did get a little teary at the end.
