why didn't he do anything during the 5 years he had Jason

He did.  He put Drew into play.  I think there was supposed to be more to Drew being against Sonny but somehow that never played out, other than Drew trying to distance himself from Sonny, though that didn't decimate him as much as it should have.

Dear Mr. Faison, Sir,

We are sorry that your plan to get rid of Sonny by first getting rid of Jason didn't work. It didn't work for us, either, and we tried it for years. We encourage you to try another approach and look forward to your success in this area. Please just stay away from Anna, and from Maxie and the baby.

Yours,

Us

Although I couldn't figure out why Liesl didn't throw her coat over the canister to slow down the spread of the gas.

Are you crazy? That's a great coat.

ETA: Now, if she'd thrown Lulu on top of it, that would have been a boss move.

Jesus God: Anna/Nathan/Jordan/Dante staring at the glossy headshot of Faison surrounded by a couple other photos as if they are looking at a fucking Carrie "off-her-meds" Matheson case-solving wall of crazy. At least have some fucking colored Post-Its and red yarn connected by push pins!

Nancy Drew would totally bitch slap Lulu.  dope-slap.gif

They were partners in crime. I'm sure they exchanged torture/murder tips the way most people exchange recipes.

I know! I don't know why Liesl did force the canister down Lulu's throat. Or clock her with a curry comb.

I can't help but feel Helena would not be able to abide Faison's uncombed hair.

I'm sorry we never got to see them have tea together and discuss the finer points of villainy. (See first comment.) I'm sure Helena would have had some dynamite grooming tips. But then, Faison's hair was an extension of his personality: uncombed hair, unhinged personality.

When Dr O was mentioning people that Faison made others believe that died, I wish that she would have reminded Lulu that her brother Lucky was part of the group. How can Lulu be so unaware. All this for a "career" that she chose only last month.

I laughed when Dr O was calling Finn a good man because she still hates and wants to distract Faison away from Nathan.

Liesl is one of my favorite things about this show and I don't think the actress is given the credit or respect she is due.  She can play menacing and then turn around with some fantastic comedic timing. More of her.  Less of Sonny.

And, of course, leaving the room before you have actually finished killing the hero so he or she can escape without you knowing... all while you are celebrating their demise with your minions.

When Faison was standing over Leisl, having their little tete-a-tete, LuLu was behind him, near the door.  She could have grabbed one the ?reins/bridles? hanging on the wall right there and thrown it around his neck and pulled for all she was worth; then when he fell, Leisl (still tied up) could have kicked him in the balls.

Or LuLu and Leisl could stack stuff on top of other stuff to reach one of those high windows to break out.

Or they could knock on walls to find a secret passage.  Because we know they will find one.  From way back when, I fantasized about living in a cool place like Port Charles, with secret passageways and catacombs and foggy docks.  I'm probably in a minority but the fantasical element is what I've enjoyed most about GH.   Except for Casey the Alien, of course.  That was one toke over the line.

I think most people know/think Kathleen Gati is a fantastic actress, but her character helped keep Robin captive, shot Liz, tried to frame Dr Michael Easton, etc etc. Obrecht shouldn't be walking around free.

I still think, when Britt left, they should have reset Dr. O to her original status of popping in and out of town to cause mischief every so often.  She certainly wasn't utilized well as Nathan's mom or Franco's fawning friend, ick.

Or she should be on an extremely short leash, like being around for some sort of hospital transition or helping lure out Fasion. But not going about her daily business crowing about becoming an oma.

While pieces of this Faison/Dr. O retcon haven't worked for me, I am glad it's returned Dr. O to this type of story, up to and including sparring with Anna again.  Fucking with Dr. Michael Easton by fudging lab tests was beneath her.

Ugh, seriously. Obrecht shouldn't be about petty vengeance. Major, important vengeance? Definitely.

Poor Kathleen Gati. She has a lovely voice, but that was so obviously shoehorned in because someone (ahem) realized she could sing. It was totally OOC for Obrecht. They've made such a hash of Liesl. (Not for the first or last time or character, alas.)

Agreed.  I didn't mind her always trying to Lucy Ricardo her way into the Nurses' Ball (though nothing really topped that first year when she was dancing along to it in her hotel room), but her randomly breaking into song at Nathan's bedside or singing Christmas carols in a jail cell was no bueno.

Man, I had to laugh when I saw that "board" that Nathan and Dante had set up--that is, the show pulled out a picture of Burton back from when he had longish hair--that period was either when Robin was still on, or right around the time Emily was killed off. I can't believe they didn't have any stock photos of Jason from five years ago.

And Finola is such a good actress. And unless I missed something, I don't understand why she hasn't killed Faison outright yet--why there is still fear when she talks about him. If I recall correctly, it was Robert who convinced her not to kill him, but to put him in that pit? And I remain confused and have rage black outs that Anna hasn't killed Obrecht--because she tortured Robin. Just for that alone, she should have drop-kicked and killed her ass.

And why is she even talking to Mooby and Borg? Mooby's got no business being involved in the Faison plot, and no, Mooby, Faison didn't "take" Robin from you, because she had already CUT OFF HER TIES with you when she was kidnapped. Stupid new show runners had her forgive your mooby ass when she returned. She can make a phone call to have those two, taken care of*; that is, prevent them from doing anything.

Anna is a GOD DAMNED WSB SPY. The only help she needs is from Robert!Fucking!Scorpio! at times; but otherwise, she can do every damn thing herself!

*And I also want a horsie.

Watching Cesar talking and pointing his gun at Finn, I think I may has surpasses the intensity of Ava yelling SHOOT HIM!!! SHOOT HIM!!!! to Sonny when he saw AJ.

If Franco is walking around, and Sonny and Ava and Julian, there must be something they can do for Obrecht.  Or at least turn her into a better villain.  The lab test fudging was terrible in every way but especially in how it didn't do justice to Obrecht's potential for villainy.

Someone read her IMDB page? Her mother was an opera singer.  I still regret that at the Nurse's Ball last year when Liesl wanted to sing and Lucy bumped her.  there were too many mediocre acts, one of those should have been bumped.

And now that Kiki is single, we can start up the Ava suspicion again. Goodie. And I wouldn't be shocked to see a triangle down the road with Molly, TJ, and Kiki because we can't just have Kiki work hard on med school and focus on her future and -gasp- show more hospital scenes!

I'm loving the return of Faison and the writing for it.  When he said to Peter "I'm here because of you" I felt sure they were going to admit to Peter being Henrik but they swerved into it being because he gave the go ahead for Lulu article to be published. I want everyone to take a turn saying "I told you so" to Lulu.

Kevin's theory about physical damage and the tendency to murder -- "I'm not  psychiatrist, I just play one on TV."  Also shouldn't he be looking at his own identical twin first?  And that's nt how submissions for psychiatric conferences work.  I guess I should be glad that the show is doing a medical story rather than a mob one.

Speaking of which, Kiki's light speed entry into medical school continues.  A good MCAT doesn't get you into medical school, it just prevents you from being turned down (husband on the admissions board for grad school). Marks are far more important,

I hope TJ gets in too and we see them both working at the hospital, although logically they should both be too busy studying to hang around GH no matter how "hands on" the program is.

I think it would have been more interesting if Kiki was more upset about being serially cheated on - by Morgan with AvaDenise, Morgan again with Darby, and now Dillon - and that would play into things when next she pursued a relationship.  But I guess we can't take the deceased Captain's name in vain. #eyeroll

I don't mind the speed of this—at least they're showing the steps. On a show with Lulu Spencer, Instant Girl Reporter and Finder of International Criminals, it's somewhat refreshing to see someone having to make an effort to enter her chosen profession.

He'll always be someone else's satellite.

When Faison was kissing Anna, I don't know why she didn't knee him in the nuts and render him helpless then. It's so aggravating.

Guess the clothing budget got bumped up a few bucks with the sudden arrival of PCPD uniforms? Looks like a bad costume party or something. Or a Chippendale's rehearsal.

So now Maxie is all eye-rolling, haughty and cavalier, blase about the police protection outside their apartment? Please.

Our poor Kevin needs something to do now that TPTB have cruelly taken his wife away from him, but I don't want him to be around Franco! Does anyone on this show care that Franco hurt Kevin's brand-new stepdaughter AND his new step-grandson??

So Kevin's wife gets punted off screen and he's now tasked with helping Franco feel better about his terrible self? I hate this show.

I want to beat my head against a wall every time we see Ava walk in on Kiki and Griffin embracing. Enough. Either commence with another gross triangle involving a mother and daughter or cut it the fuck out.

Anna and Faison's scenes were so good and on a completely different plane from the rest of the show. Faison's transition from screaming threats at Anna to expressing tender concern for her was flawless, and Anders Hove deserves a tremendous amount of credit for making that duality work. He gives so much nuance to Faison's twisted obsession for Anna; it's a sick love wrapped in mania and a fetishistic desire to claim her as his own. FH was also excellent today at conveying Anna's resigned dread that her life will never be free from Faison's shadow. She's disgusted by him yet seems to view him as an inevitability, it's such a complicated and powerful dynamic.

But yeah, AH and FH deserve all the more credit since they also did it all in one take. (Probably; I think sometimes FV gives a little rehearsal time occasionally.)

Heck, if she'd killed his darn ass today.  She had a second when she came in, where she could have gotten him without him shooting Finn.  And then when he was leaving, he threw open the doors and stood there for a nano second, she could have grabbed her gun and shot him in the back of the head.  It's very frustrating.

It's too bad they didn't cast Peter with an actor who could have been a new villain and follow up to Faison. Instead they cast Laura Wright's boyfriend.

I find it funny that they gave MW a whole episode for an Emmy reel while Finola has just completely upped her gave in the last episodes.

FH is so good at playing tormented. That said, she should and could have blown him away when he was at her front door leaving. I guess FV wants one of the men of GH to do the deed. Whatever. Also, if Faison should shoot someone could it be Amy?! Ugh! I can't stand the actress or the character. I would say Bye, Felicia but there is already a character by that name. Attention writers (and Nathan): HENRIK is not HEINRICH. They keep pronouncing Faison's son's name as Heinrich but Nathan spelled it Henrik. Which is Swedish. Unless they're channeling NY Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist? Which is fine with me, but I'm not sure how he'd feel about being associated with Faison lol!

As I said at the time: Anna and Robert should've punched Faison's ticket in 2013. No way they wouldn't have, IMO. His returns since were increasingly weak and designed to prop his family. Here he's dangerous, but again it's to benefit other stories.
