Black Duck Distillery? That's part of that site Sonny wants to develop, I guess, and this is connected to that. So of course kidnapping Spencer makes perfect sense. *rme*

'll begrudgingly admit that Carly had every right to talk to Oscar about the drinking, but she could have dropped the heinous attitude. She was sneering at him the whole time and I don't think that was warranted, because he was on his best behavior and seemed to be forthright in his answers.

I know. The alcohol stuff was legit—and she should say something about that—but there was no need for Carly to be snotty. Ugh.

"Spencer Cassadine is a spoiled little brat, and he's certainly not worth sacrificing everything that matters to me." The look on Jason's face after Valentin said that was like, "Yeah, I can't argue with that." Hee.

Who the hell is Garvey and why would he take Spencer to get to Sonny instead of Avery or Kristina or even Michael?

Garvey's that random mobster dude who went after Sonny and Carly in Puerto Rico.

He used to be in business with Julian, so of course all of this is Julian's fault.

Sonny's holding a gun on Garvey, getting info about Spencer, and this when Sam decides to confront Sonny? FFS. They don't need to stack the deck against her that much. We've gotten plenty of anvils that there's something wrong.

That's all I got...this episode was really stupid.

Sonny got shot in the chest (looked like his right side though).  It may be stupid in that Sonny never dies, but it's always a real nice thing to see MB shot  in the first episode of the week.

Carly: We aren't all ogres.

Oscar: I didn't mean -

Carly: I'm just kidding! ha-ha!

Carly really needs to not laugh that laugh if she wants people to think she's kidding.

If Sonny were at home the first thing he would say is "who is oscar?"

What will Kristina say to her sister when she finds out that Sam shot Sonny, Kristina's daddy? Drama ahead, folks!

"Somehow I know this is mom's fault for some reason!"

The show felt really weird and disjointed today, more than usual, except for the continuity of Dante sending Nathan away and then him showing up at the Floating Rib. Usually the show would just have Nathan show up at the Floating Rib and explain that he was sent off.

We also had some repetition of Mac telling Nathan about the lingerie he bought for Felicia and how he's trying to step things up a bit. I get that was so that we'd eventually get the Ask Man Landers reveal, but sheesh. You're adorable, Mac, but TMI to your son-in-law!

When Sonny was shot the first time, I went to get a snack thinking "Does the dude EVER wear a bullet-proof vest?" Only to find out he is indeed wearing one. Garvey certainly got what he deserved.

When Sonny was shot the first time I looked up from my coffee and thought "Does this dude EVER die?" He gets himself shot every other year without fail yet refuses to die like a normal person.  It is so anticlimactic.

I'm still thinking the Sonny/Sam stuff might have been truncated after they got Steve Burton signed on, which might explain some of that.

Holy crap, that's exactly what I was thinking through the whole thing.  I tried to visualize that conversation with my mother in law and just no.  Eeww!!

I was annoyed that Dante didn't find Spencer in the basement.  I was fully expecting him to be found, so I'm all, what?

Is it just me and my suspicious mind, but when Valentin was taking the ropes off of himself, he had a look like he'd been lying to Jason all along and he was responsible somehow.  I mean, not of the original kidnapping since Garvey copped to that, but maybe the finding Spencer in the basement and moving him elsewhere.  Just me?

I was also seriously disapointed not to have Sam shoot Sonny today.  I have to wait a whole 24 hours before I get to see it.

You think so? I feel like the whole story might have been started because of SBu signing on.

I dunno.  The randomness of JDP's one-off appearance as her doctor.  Sonny being lured to the warehouse, getting shot by Garvey, disarming Garvey, and then being held at gunpoint at Sam all happening in one episode.  Something feels off.  But it might be just the show's usual pacing problems.

I thought the buzz was that Oscar was going to be from "a family the fans love", but why am I getting suspicious that this father he doesn't know is going to turn out to be this stupid Garvey dude.

That was my thought during this ep. Ugh.

DZ looked really good today.

And that's all I got.

The "real" Jason is the only one who can save Sam. That would not be outside the ambition of this show.

Does Nathan have a tracking device embedded somewhere?  HOw else would maxie know that he has at the Rib in order to find him there.

She called the station and Dante told her? She was gonna meet Mac there?

But Dante told Nathan to go home and get some sleep.  He wouldn't have known Nathan was going to stop off at the Rib first (why was the Rib--a bar, open in the morning?!)

Didn't Maxie look very strange today? Her face was like a mask with an evil expression. She didn't look attractive.

LOL Valerie hanging all over Dante as the two of them were looking at the computer screen for information a couple of times today.  The camera kept cutting to pics of their hands being close on the table and she seemed to be eyeing him secretly. I wish she would "accidentally" brush her chest across his back.

I think that was more about being the cliffhanger and not wanting to give anything away. Did she hear Nathan talking to Amy 2.0? Is she mad? Is she thrilled to see him? Oh, the suspense. I'm definitely tuning in tomorrow to find out.

(Sarcasm, but I will be watching tomorrow. Heh.)

Psst Sam ...SAM!!! He's wearing a vest! Make it a head shot! Don't hesitate or get all fucking chatty, just take the shot! TAKE THE SHOT!!!

Also, kudos to Mac for being the first one who seems to be able to pronounce the 'k' in Ask Man Landers.

Sam will talk the situation to death and doze off from the sound of her own voice before she can so much as inflict a flesh wound.

And, yes, I noticed JJY's enunciation of the 'k' in ask.  After weeks of AssMan Landers, it was a welcome change.

It's so ironic and even inconsistent that Sam would be so effective and gentle with Ava and her suffering but then turn right around and proactively hunt down Sonny to threaten and shoot him. If Sam's illness or medical condition is causing her to be angry and violent, as if in a trance, how can she be so compassionate, clear, and reasonable toward Ava at other times? Pick a lane and stick to it.

What if Mac is Oscar's father?

He's not important enough, although I'd love it if it were.  It's going to be someone related to Sonny or Jason.

If Jason is torturing Valentine to get Spencer's location and Sam is going after Sonny, who's looking after Scout?

While I agree that 14 year olds should not be drinking, four people waved guns around in this episode and did various illegal things but the biggest sin was underage drinking.  Only in America. Also didn't Oscar say that the alcohol they drank was what was in the house? The sudden dichotomy of "you are not allowed to drink at all"/"you can drink any time" has never made sense to me.

Looks to me like Sam's illness consists of allowing her to see through the gaslighting for a change.

Every time Carly gives Joss the "You need to make sure the boys you hang out with are good influences." speech, I want Joss to calmly point out that the "boys" Carly hangs out with (Sonny and Jason) are MURDERERS.  Carly if you want your daughter to make good choices during these horrible teenage angst-filled years, you need to be a good role-model.  You need to step away from the murderers in your life.

Jebus. We know all about Carly's destructive teen years. And I have so many problems with her attitude towards Oscar. Ease off bitch mode, Snarls. Yes, she has a reason to be upset over the party at her home. But that was Joss and her pal. Not Carly's job to parent Oscar. If she has a problem, then call and inform his family that he was at a party and drinking.

And great parenting skills Carly! Broadcast Joss's private personal medical conditions to another teenager! Maybe Joss should announce to Carly's employees about Carly's latest medical exams and test results! "Mom, the doctor's office called and said that your blood and STD results came back clean! And Sonny need to make an appointment to get a refill on his viagra pills!"

Oscar's mom just transferred from Ohio and doesn't like to talk about his dad. Spoilers claim him to be from a beloved family. Hmm. Plz, don't let him be Franco's. Let's say that he is Scott's grandson, Plz with go with Logan being the bio father. I can live with that.

I personally think "Assman Landers" is an in-joke, and York is just not enough of a cool kid (or not enough involved in that story) to be in on it.  It's the kind of mini-rebellion/amusement I can imagine Risa Dorken and Michelle Stafford and the others cooking up. Maybe someone is a Seinfeld fan.

Why doesn't Valentin burn Jason's butt by filing a kidnapping and assault charge against him for that recent interrogation? Jason was clearly torturing Valentin by throwing cold water on him to deprive him of sleep and/or revive him after other torture trauma. Jason had no proof that Valentin had done anything. Meanwhile, Jason's apparently badass bitch of a wife was threatening people with her gun. The couple's young baby may or may not have been getting adequate care while the parents did these things.

Valentin can tap Nina for money for a good lawyer.

Give custody for both of their kids to Monica, Alexis, Julian, or good ole Mac. CarSon would probably take 'em too if their last name was changed to Corinthos.

Because her anger and violence has been shown to be aimed specifically at Sonny, for bringing Jason back into the business.

LAME.  Sam didn't shoot Sonny in the chest, but sort of accidentally in the upper thigh and then kicks him into a hole. LAME LAME LAME. If she meant it? She would have shot him center mass. This show is AWFUL.  Even when Sam has WIMMIN DISEASE she's a moron.

And Diane weeping over Max and that whole WTF? conversation with Jason and Carly is just another exercise in how moronic these show runners are. Max isn't being promoted to general manager of WALMART, GH. He's not being brought up from the minor leagues. Despite Diane's grotesque reference to Max being a soldier and now a general, he's not serving his country.  He's going to get to order the MURDER of other people. He gets to profit and hurt others. Fucking morons.

And Jason? Your ass is NOT out. Idiot.

Diane's wailing about Max would have more impact if we had seen Max at any point in recent memory. I honestly can't remember the last time we saw him. But whatever, Diane's scenes were clearly designed to make Carly reflect on Sonny and his decision to leave the business, because absolutely everything on this show boils down to Sonny.

It's nice to see Maxie looking beautiful and healthy. I like her short hair. But I need Nathan to speak up about Man Landers because I'm already tired of him acting shifty at every clunky Man Landers reference.

All this handwringing over Spencer, and he just strolls into the PCPD, right as rain. Just like with the chimera, the writers wimp out on showing us something dramatic and instead serve us an utterly anticlimactic finale. This show is terrible in a lot of ways, but does it have to be so fucking lame, too?

Well done, Sam, you actually shot Sonny! I would have preferred to see him receive the full Dante treatment, but a shot in the leg works also. I'm just going to enjoy this moment before Sam returns to her senses and asks forgiveness from kind, benevolent Sonny, because that's definitely going to happen soon.

Ugh. Way to suck the story out of the story. Also, that little turd gets to free himself, but the grown wimmins have to wait for the cavalry? Fuck off with that bullshit, Show. And did we really need a flashback to Spencer wearing glasses? Gah.

LOL that Carly says she cares about Spencer. And Jason: "Look at me. I'm out." So...why are you running around doing Sonny's bidding?

The lighting in the Sam/Sonny scenes was terrible. Was it supposed to be sunset or something?

I have a hard time believing everyone is so dense they don't know Maxie and Nathan want to be alone.

What are the odds that when Laura finds out Spencer was taken because of Sonny that she won't go off on him?
