The theme of this year's gala is "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination." so of course, Kim completely ignored that & dressed in something as tight as she could get with her boobs on full display. That's why Rihanna is dressed like the Pope.

Kim looks like she's struggling to breathe, but I like the overall ensemble. Hair and makeup are nicely done and compared to some of the ridiculous get-ups I've seen thus far, Kim's is pretty tasteful.

Eta: I just realized Kim looks fabulous because Kanye isn't around to style her.

Ah tasteful is the word I was looking for. Compared to some of the ridiculous getups she does look tasteful. Yeah I was wondering if she actually picked this on her own since Kanye is still away. I know some of her more awful dresses were usually Balmain.

A lot of people ignored the theme, some took it very literally, some went for more elegant looks. Blake Livelys dress I'm still staring at in awe.

He's tweeting. He tweeted a picture of her in the dress, with flames above it because, you know, she's so hot.  Spare us Kanye, she looks good, but we all know this is not something you would have selected for her in a million years.

Lucky Chicago, but too bad Kim doesn't look exactly like the real Kim. I've said it before, but she really was strikingly, stunningly beautiful. Not doing the usual middle part with hair stuck to the scalp and stringing down her back is making all the difference. She looks years younger.

For the theme, I thought Kim's look was lazy as was many of them who simply slapped a cross on their outfit but from an overall look point of view, it's one of her better looks I've seen recently. But that said, there were far lazier outfits. Kim was the dressed of her family that attended. Kendell and Kylie wore basic outfits as if to play it off angels and demons but that was super lazy on their part.

Blake Lively, Kate Bosworth, Ariana Grande and Gigi Hadid are my favourite looks off the top of my head. I even liked Bella Hadid's outfit which I thought touched on the demonic/sinister element without being literal the way Katy Perry was or even Rihanna with her pope hat.

Kanye may have seen her with her more or less original face and fell for her, but once he got with her, he’s done everything he can to change her looks and style. Most of her worst looks in the last  5/6 years can be laid at Kanye’s feet.

I wasn't really articulating well, but that's exactly what I meant. Kanye fell for a picture of her, based on her (original) incredible beauty. Then, over the last several  years, has watched, & encouraged her, to completely change everything about her that made her stand out, which is how he noticed her in the first place. It's just insane.

I like Kim’s look, but it’s very understated for what the industry equivalent is to Halloween.  Same as last year. I wonder if the organizers of the even specifically request the K and Js to chill so legit Hollywood A listers can have their moment.  If Kanye can’t have full control, he’s not showing up.

Prior to your post, I hadn’t noticed any of the celebrities you just referenced, but yes, I so agree: All of their outfits were creative and gorgeous. I will also add that I personally loved Madonna’s and Solange's takes on this year’s Met Gala theme. Where we disagree is that I really loved Rihanna’s pope costume. She killed it, IMO. But then, I’ve been following her for years, more for her unique fashion sense than her music. Not that I understand or would wear all of her fashion choices at my age, but she’s genuine. She’s loved fashion all of her life and thinks of it as a second career. She’s not a poseur.

Okay, to get back on topic: I was not impressed with any of the Kardashian-Jenner selections. Yes, Kim looked better than she has in years (aka damning with faint praise), but to me, hers was just another form-fitting, low-cut dress, accessorized and adorned with crosses around her neck and on the dress itself. Kylie and Kendall were boring and uninspired, and Kris looked unfortunate. Travis and Corey both looked far more dapper and interesting than the K-J ladies they were escorting.

Exactly, everything she wears has to be body con, & the rest of the family seemed to just picked random outfits (what does a white jumpsuit have to do with the theme?) Nothing like the celebrities who tried, like Solange (don't like the outfit, but give her props for theme), or Madonna (I do like the outfit & am very surprised she was so covered up), or (my favorite) Blake Lively. Oh, I loved Rihanna! I thought she looked fantastic and I think Rihanna's got the confidence to pull off almost anything. I only reference Rihanna (and Katy Perry) to say that though Bella Hadid had a black outfit on (which in the broadest sense is exactly what Kyle did or Kendell with her white outfit), the overall look I thought conveyed the theme without being literal which is what Rihanna's outfit was...but I didn't mean it in a bad way! I love me some Rihanna.

I think she has. Kim said she had to bribe them with candy to take that Easter picture as well, so North seems to have figured out her mother's game and has taken a "what's in it for me?" approach.

There's also pictures up on DailyFail of Kourtney taking her three kids plus North out for Mother's Day and all of the children look completely miserable. I don't think any of them get enough love and attention from their parents.

OMG, that Saint is the cutest thing this side of my son! Seriously, how can she treat him like he's less-than the girls, especially North, when he's so freaking adorable? I'm partial to him, because he's clearly overlooked most of the time, but even if I wasn't, that guy is absolutely adorable. The girls are, too, but I'm in it for Saint. 

Also, do I detect a tad bit of cellulite on Kim's thighs? I'm not 1 to hate or body-shame, as I'm not anywhere near perfect in that department, & have actually struggled without her diet/workout of choice, liposuction, but since she made such a huge ordeal of pointing out that she doesn't have cellulite, & even had her mouthpiece, Johnathon, point out that cellulite must've been photoshopped onto her Mexico pix, I feel obligated to point it out in this pic.
