Sweet Fellowship: Duggars and Friends (aka the Bates Family and Other Featured Families Thread)

Message added by Scarlett45

If a person/family was never featured on any of the Duggar shows, and is not related to the Duggar family by blood or marriage, they do not need to be discussed here..

We may all agree that David Rodriques is quite unfortunate looking, but let's refrain from comparing human beings to apes, its got way too much of a loaded history- please review the new Inclusion Policy updated May 1, 2022 , which details guidelines around discussing body type, capabilities, physical appearance etc. Additionally, using body size as an insult is not allowed.

Is there cocaine in this drink?   I mean seriously either Jill has a bunch of fake accounts (a distinct possibility) or there are some mighty fine drugs in that drink for everyone to be so enthusiatic.

Amy Duggar tried it and was so wired it scared her. She posted about it and warned people to be cautious. I think she had accelerated heart beats, it did scare her straight.

I thought of Jill when I came across this tweet.  If she ever posted about girls masturbating, it's the type of thing she would post, complete nonsense.  Ringing the devil's doorbell indeed.   https://twitter.com/Lillithshadows/status/1575870203333705728

Apparently Plexus became available in Canada this past March.  It is not FDA approved in the US, nor is it approved by the equivalent agency in Canada.  I found this info on a Google search.  It is supposed to contain "natural" stimulants to increase weight loss.  I wish people would understand that just become something is sold as "natural" it is not necessarily good for you.  It reminds me of the Phen Phen (sp?) that was popular several years ago.  It was supposed to help weight loss.  A few nurses I worked with used it.  One ended up with very serious cardiac issues, and the fad died out very quickly.  I really worry about Nurie taking Plexus while pregnant.  I wonder who decided this was safe.  With no FDA studies, it must just be someones best guess.  This company must have some very effective sales people.  The money they spend on Plexus would be much better spent on healthy, real food.  But then there wouldn't be any free trips to Hawaii.  Or no one to give Jill "real" earrings.

Edited--Plexus has been available in Canada since March, 2018 according to a different article.

Kaylee is a gorgeous girl, but her eyebrows are almost nonexistent!  WTH does BME have against eyebrows??

Those eyebrows were popular for a while in the 1990s, when JillR was a pre-teen/teen. A lot of people keep with the grooming style they perfected as a teen or young adult. My sister-in-law still wears 'big hair' and that hasn't been popular for 25-30 years.

I think it’s mostly a bunch of sugar and caffeine. Helps no one with anything.

“It brought me to weeping” Say what???

That really is an incredibly odd, awkward statement. WTF?

I think Jill does the eyebrow pruning as a sort of coming of age ritual. The daughters carry on the tradition, sometimes to an extreme, to keep Best Mama's approval. Nurie's were bad enough when she lived at home, but now they've practically disappeared except for the sperm part in the corner of her eyes. Tessie's two brows look different shapes and sizes in the Vermont Sunday School photo.

Jill hasn't gotten to Hannah's beautiful brows yet. She's about 14 now, so it's sadly just a matter of time.

Jill has said that Hannah "can't" have bangs, so I am hoping that the reason she can't have bangs will also be why she gets to keep her natural brows. No idea as to why Hannah can't have bangs.

Maybe a cowlick? Nah, that actually makes sense. 🙄

Goodness those girls look generically the same.   I mean yes, sisters look alike.   But not so much that you can barely tell them apart.   of course, usually kids are allowed to express their individual style rather than be forced into a Mahmo approve mold.

As for the book -- this is Jill as the source.   Do we believe that any books at ALL were actually sold or is Jill lying to claim there is a hot demand for the book so others will think it is worth buying?

Did they ever say what Nurie is having?

They had the gender reveal at Phillip’s “graduation.” As a birthday gift to the Hunk, Jill gave him the honor of revealing the gender of Nurie’s fetus. She handed him a piñata that was shaped like a taco. Hunk karate chopped the piñata and a bunch of loose blue candy fell out onto the church’s floor. He then started dumping more of the candy on the floor. Jill told the kids they could eat the candy. Yes, this really happened.

Wonder if Jill will update how her heavily pregnant Nuri is doing with no electricity and who knows where they are.

From looking at the 30 weeks pregnant picture of Nurie, it appears that they may be living in the camper again.

I’m surprised that Jill isn’t even trying to grift off the hurricane ravaging Florida by claiming that Nurie’s little family has been SEVERELY impacted and needs help. Just send your donations to Jill, folks, and she’ll handle getting the money down there.

As I recall, even the eyebrows of the 90's were not quite that extreme, though they were even more so back in some photos from old black and white movies of the 30's/40's, (don't know exactly when) when brows were barely a pencil line in width. For that matter, there were places and eras where brows were removed completely for the sake of beauty.

Well, that's the thing about eyebrows, and it's why I don't really like commenting about them unless they are of the sort literally drawn on, crookedly, with a sharpie. They go in and out of style so often. I happen to think the current fashion for overly full, overly defined brows is not particularly attractive either, but it makes no sense to me, for the most part, to say that a particular style of brows makes someone look ugly, because at some point or another, that style would have been in vogue, and people not following THAT would have been pointed out as looking unattractive.

I’m so glad that my view on eyebrows, since hitting my teen years in the 80s, has simply been to let. them. be. Tweeze a few strays and done!

As far as I can see, field hockey stick eyebrows were never popular at any time. The NotNurie may have 90s brows. My preference is something close to the 50s/00s brows.

None of these look like sperm.  That's gotta be a Jilldo invention.

Why does Jill not update the hair-make up-clothes style?

She wants to look good, she has an access to the internet to see how it looks now.

Why does she think the 80s and 90s look is better?

She's not stylish on purpose. Can't be IN the world; that would be un-Christian. 🙄
