S14.E20: Reunion, Part 3

The reunion continues with emotions on high, as Kyle and Kathy discuss the years they spent apart and their eventual reconciliation. Kathy calls Sutton "cheap". Kyle opens up to the group about her troubled marriage. Faced with tough questions about her separation and the state of her friendship with a famous country singer, it becomes clear to the women that Kyle's future hangs in the balance. Garcelle walks out before the women take a group photo at the end of the reunion.

I'm going to have to watch the first ten minutes of this later because I missed it live.

But I'm bored at this point, and Garcelle is definitely over everything. Her voice cracking in that one moment really got me. 😔

Sooooo all I got out of this is that Kyle is apparently now Bi or gay? Good luck and I mean that sincerely since it does appear that her and Mo are not getting back together. Why not be with whoever you’re going to be happy with. 
The other thing about this reunion is that Garcelle is done. I don’t blame her.  I will miss her. I hope Jennifer becomes a full time HW so Sutton has an ally.

All I could think of during Kyle's soliloquy was Kyle taking umbrage when Garcelle supported her by telling her to be whoever she wants to be. 

So while I wish she would have stuck around for 15 more minutes to avoid the holier-than-thou reactions from the others, I get Garcelle's feels of not having 1 more minute to give.

I only saw the end, and saying ‘Kyle opens up about her marriage’ is a massive overstatement. She, yet again, word salad’d all around any actual declarations. Even Andy was trying to get her there with his, ‘that’s what my Dad said when I came out to him” and she immediately said I didn’t come out! And she implied again that Mau cheated but didn’t actually say anything except I don’t want to hurt my family.  That’s fine, but then just say that. Don’t waste our time rambling on and on for a full segment when you’re not actually answering the questions. She wants the camera time while giving the least effort possible while expecting the Most from everyone else.  
 

We saw those piercing angry eyes at Kathy again when Kathy tried to ‘help’ Please let only Me address this.  Yeah because you have your nonsense script memorized and don’t want the truth to come out of Kathy’s mouth and trip you up.  I’m so over her. She’s been acting the whole time. When she’s flustered that she’ll be exposed or someone will take her off script, the Real Kyle comes out.

I agree - I was seriously wondering if there was something that was edited out to make Garcelle walk out that way.

I get that Garcelle was done, done, done, and in some ways, I don't blame her, but it just felt very disjointed to me, like there is something more there that we did not see.

Garcelle fulfilled her contractual agreement by sitting through the reunion - I guess there is no contractual clause that states housewives must pose for a cast photo at the end of the reunion.

I did, however, appreciate Garcelle's eye rolling while Erika was giving her update about things with Tom.  Garcelle doesn't believe for one second that Erika is not complicit in any of that mess, and she let everyone know how she feels with just an eye-roll and a shady look.

I get why she left. Her face after Sutton saying her surprise was how much fun her and Ericka had together (what!?!? Didn’t she say you kick women when they’re down? That you act like a friend but behave like an enemy!?). I could see Garcelle was just Done.

I get the impression Sutton and possibly other cast members say some of the same things Garcelle says, but just do so off camera. Remember Sutton's reaction to Dorit's burglary? It was so odd, and it only made sense if she was either triggered by it due to how she lost her father OR if she didn't buy the story. 

Garcelle felt like she was the only one honest about things like being suspicious of the Kemsley home invasion or confused by Kyle's rules regarding what can and cannot be discussed. I will bring up Denise, her husband, and her kids every time. Do other people's families not feel pain Kyle? Other than Portia, all your children are adults who are way older than Denise's girls were several years ago.

Kyle, Erika, Dorit, Boz-none of them seem to give Garcelle any kind words or grace. Then Kathy and Tilly are not full-time cast members, and the degree of friendship and support from Sutton was just not enough. 

I don't think the drama Garcelle experienced was the worst we've seen, but I don't blame her at all for leaving what is still an uncomfortable work environment. She doesn't need this, and even though she's the actress, she's probably the only one in the cast who is real and not playing a part.

I've never been so bummed for a Housewife to leave, but I look forward to seeing her in other projects.

IMO, Garcelle was not pissed because no one smiled at her. I think she was mad that no one backed her up about the Dorit armed robbery incident. She was pouting the entire rest of the reunion, and everyone just ignored her. Andy tried to bring it up, and then Garcelle said, I'm really pissed to be honest... I am not thinking of Sutton right now, I'm thinking about me." 

They looked a little surprised, and then it just turned right back to Sutton. No one seemed to really care.

Andy brought it up again, why she was steaming, and Garcelle said, "All of it honestly. I don't get any grace from this group. I didn't get it today. I stand behind what I say, and it's not accepted. Long pause. No one smiled at me."

Weird.

But it's okay. It's okay.

The ROSE of this Season.  Jennifer Tilly.  Everyone needs a Friend like her.   And unlike some HW's, she has REAL money, not monopoly money.

The THORN.  Mean Girl Dorit - with her outbursts, ranting and raving week after week. Exhausting, Boring, Annoying.

Ah Kyle… such a girls girl when you call women snakes and blame them for your husband’s infidelity. She is such a hypocrite.

Good for Garcelle. She’s right… they are all assholes. You could see her realize in real time that she doesn’t need this sh&t.

I love how Garcelle expressed her feelings and then checked out for the rest of the reunion. She sat there but you could tell the moment she was truly done, and I don't blame her. Then when Tilly ended her toast with "friendship", you could see Garcelle roll her eyes and only clink glasses with Tilly before taking a sip of her drink and walking out. These women are not real friends and she was tired of trying. Good for her!  

Unless there are some serious cast changes (i.e. eliminating at least two if not all three of what's left of the Fraud Force), I'm over RHOBH. This season was pretty boring, and then the reunion used Garcelle as a scapegoat. 

Jennifer Tilly was a bright spot, but I really hope she doesn't sign on Full Time. She's too good for these ratchet women and I don't want their mess on her.

That five minutes of stammering from Kyle answered nothing. She wasn’t coming out as anything, but her girls were very supportive. Of tabloids questioning her sexuality? Okay then. Back to not talking about it next season.

I wonder how long it took Sutton to decide to check up on her friend. She didn’t even react when Garcelle left the stage, just sat down cause her shoes were killing her or whatever. Oh well, maybe Kyle or Erika will have supper with you.

On the one hand, good for Garcelle. On the other hand, the Fux Force won. Again.

Creepy how everyone said Sutton was horrible for the wallet comment - and Boz said Garcelle was multiple horribles for doubts about the robbery - but not one single reprimand about Dorit using the c-word. Really?!

Yeah Garcelle's drama was definitely self-inflicted and seems like sour grapes to me - about what I'm not sure 😄  She'll be fine.  And in the first ep of the reunion Garcelle was in the hot seat and Sutton was jealous.  Maybe that's why they're friends 😄

Kyle admitted to nothing except for never questioning her sexuality and always having a certain type.  I still don't believe she's a "lesbian". (Remember the friends episode where Winona Ryder played a former sorority sister of Rachel's, and Rachel said they had gotten drunk one night and made out, and Phoebe didn't believe her because she was too vanilla to do something like that? Rachel got mad and Phoebe said, "Okay fine, you're a "lesbian" in a funny tone, and Rachel said, "I'm not saying I'm a "lesbian", I'm just saying that it happened."  Whenever I think of Kyle's shenanigans I hear that tone in my head 😂)

I really don't care if Kyle stays or goes, but if she goes and takes Kathy with her I'll consider that the best!

ITA. her big beef was no one supported her when she accused Dorit of staging the robbery? Girl. I do believe that filing a false police report and insurance fraud are probably felonies and accusing someone of it on national tv is something no one wants to be a part of.

Other than that, this was one of the most boring reunions ever.

Andy Cohen said that Erika was not charged with anything. Really? She is in court right now because her LLC received more than $20 million of Tom Girardi's stolen client funds. The LLC is HER.

I think when Boz pointed out she was accusing Dorit or her family (PK) of setting the robbery up she was accusing Dorit et al. of a major crime, Garcelle got a major reality check. Did Boz say that Dorit could sue her? I'm not sure the context now, but I but that scared the shit out of Garcelle.

Well, now we know what led up to Garcelle leaving the show. The pile ups and nasty cliques finally wore her down. Those FFF remnants will gang up on anyone who is more popular or has more going for them- they are fueled by jealousy.

And if she doesn't yet have a label herself so couldn't come out in THAT way? I think that's okay. She said she is questioning. Which is a valid letter in LGBTQIA last time I checked. The tabloid part was more that the original pre-music video rumours made her perceive how she was acting differently, wondering if she wasn't seeing what others were and that maybe she did have a crush but hadn't recognised it as such because she'd always had a type and also assumed she was straight. The tabloids made her address it with her daughters, though.

Now that I've seen the end, I totally feel for whatever Garcelle was feeling, and I have 100% been in a position of noping out when I feel insulted and sidelined by a group (or the "ringleader" of a group). If she wanted to get away... I get it. But I kind of don't get what the ultimate point of walking away *for the photo.* She's there filming the reunion, so it's not like taking the photo would have been a proof point of genuine friendship. It's literally a cast photo. Again. No issue with how she felt or that she's walking away from the show. By all means... walk away from people who don't have your best interest at heart. But why not walk away *earlier*,  right when those people are being jerks? I'm sure she had her reasons for her timing, I just don't understand. It's like taking a group photo with your work team. You may be annoyed by or angered by your co-workers or manager. And you're justified in quitting that job due to the dynamics. But it would be awkward to quit in that moment. 
 

I'm happy to be (nicely) engaged on this, LOL. It's just what struck me when I saw the whole thing.

her dad is planning her funereal .. i don't think there is gonna be a feeling better period .. and the fact that Dorit doesn't know that shows what a shit friend she really is even if they arnt talking right now she would have known through KYLE or hell even Erika who has been so effected by someone else's cancer they cant function to in their lawsuits as her lawyer tried to claim

This show is no longer fun to watch .. isn’t that supposed to be the whole point of these things enjoyment? Now it’s just fighting and taking sides .. 

 

I hate to say it but I feel like they are hammering in the final nails in the coffin of this franchise.. it’s just constant meanness and pettiness

Right and they will never give her any Grace because she calls them out in real time. You have to know when to walk away and I'm glad that she did. The only reason Dorit is clinging to Boz, is because she can hide behind her skirt. Boz is very Bold and out spoken and Dorit needs a protector. Erica is just plain scared of Boz and not intelligent enough to challenge her.  I can't wait to see how this plays out next season.

Not sure if Garcelle was just in her feelings, as they say, on reunion day - or if her exit was a calculated move to turn the attention on herself and make sure she had plenty of follow-up interviews in order to be heard. Either way, it will be healthier for her to be away from the vile “ladies” of bh.

imo Kyle, in her signature guarded way, was very clear about her situation.

Mau strayed, but Kyle doesn’t want to speak badly about her daughters’ dad.

She asked for a separation, hoping he’d fight for her and clean up his act.

She never questioned her sexuality until others suggested she might like women, which made her try to figure out her feelings for Morgan.

After getting her daughters’ blessing, she is feeling free to explore - and may have news soon.

Same. Not sure why Kyle said nothing. Dorit is a c*nt. She also really went WAY too far.  Threatening Sutton at the end?  She is certainly feeling herself.  TOTALLY tone deaf.  Read a room FFS. This show will not get any better until they break up FFF.  I mean it is hanging on by a thread already.
