I swear I am losing brain cells.  I tried to watch this yesterday, but I could not follow it.  Can someone explain to me in three sentences or so what this PK/Kyle fight is all about?  I tried to understand it from the NY Magazine recap also and failed.

I didn’t care about Dorit and PK when they were together so I don’t care about  their separation.  I hope we don’t have to listen to Dorit go on and on all season about his now alcoholism. Also how are they going to keep it from the kids when they are both discussing it on tv?

One thing I appreciate is that Dorit was more the focal point rather than Kyle. Hahaha.I also don’t care about is she or isn’t she with a woman. 

Sutton and Jennifer are too much but in a good way.

Garcelle is my favorite. 

Wasn’t too impressed with Boz. I will give her a chance though. She’s got to be better than Annamarie.

I couldn’t figure out who was missing at first. Then when they flashed back I remembered Crystal.

Dorit is gonna beat that alcoholic thing to death like she and Kyle  kept trying to last season with Sutton and it didn't work out in their favor.. just made them look like assholes .. i can see it just pissing him off and him retaliating and her trying to play victim

Let's go to the Beverly Hills Design Center to shop but instead of shopping let's discuss something painfully private such as a separation then do not buy anything and leave, those two could have gone out for coffee to do that scene.

Funny how Erika looked at the price of a box (something like $1000+) and she gasped, oh how the rich have fallen. Maybe if she had gone with a decorator, she would have gotten a discount.

Sutton's party was interesting looking and at first I thought they were walking on black pea gravel or dirt. Surrealism certainly is in the eye of the beholder according to some of the costumes worn that night, how does a ball gown translate into surrealism?

Kathy takes glam squad to the extreme, IV's, face masks, lip masks, someone standing by with a milkshake, and of course she has a treatment room, we should all come back as Kathy in our next lives but we would know when it is acceptable to take our weaves out.

Garcelle is making movies, producing, directing, etc...HW's has been very good to Garcelle, giving her exposure so she can get a foot or her whole self in the door, good for her, she knew how to make the HW show work for her.

I noticed during the lunch with PK and Mauricio (and what's up with the franchise featuring lunch dates with husbands without the wives present? Salt Lake City just did the same thing a couple weeks ago) that Mauricio was doing the same thing he did in his scenes with Kyle last year. Reacting to everything PK was saying by making odd facial tics and acting with his eyebrows like he's Joey Tribbiani. I swear, the more experience Mau gets in front of the camera, the more uncomfortable he gets. That or he can't even film a scene without being high as a kite, which could become awkward with his newly sober bestie.

I think I know that monkey at her party (I have volunteered at the facility). I am having my sister watch and confirm.  If she is who I think she is, her name is Maya, about late 30's/early 40's and is a rescue.  Had been a pet that was fed fast food.  She was found in a dumpster and her body is messed up from the horrible diet.  She is basically retired (and loved) and is cared for by the organization that rescues animals like her. I will confirm.

Dorit was clearly joking when she picked Kyle as her least favorite sister, though that may be true now. Kyle just spilled the drink on her, and Dorit laughed as slhe answered.

Dorit definitely came in hot this episode, but I don't blame her. For several years now, Kyle gets so rude and snappy towards her. I get that Kyle has much closer friends, but it's still not cool to be dismissive of other friendships imo. It's hurtful. Dorit has young kids and might not even have the time to meet up as much as she'd like. I think Dorit reminds me of myself. I am pretty laidback and quick to forgive, take blame for stuff that's not my fault (falling for gaslighting), but then I snap out of it  and am done with you forever. I think if it weren't for the show and their husbands, Dorit would be done with Kyle. Whatever the reason, she's definitely "engaged" this season.

So, happy that Garcelle continues to be busy. It might be the vanderpump affect but her oldest son gives me creeper vibes.

Sutton looks great and seems happy to now have a close ally on the show. Maybe that can help it be a bit lighter, more entertaining, less constant conflict.

The scene at the Pacific Design was odd in so many ways.

Obviously the *normal* thing would have been to meet for coffee or drinks.

But staged so that 1) PDC and what shop they went into could get some kind of promotional consideration and 2) Erika could slip in the "moving on" scenario 

The PDC is essentially on its last legs with loads of empty store fronts. I am not BH housewife rich but I did decorate with the help of a designer when I did a gut remodel and redecorated. 

I went there a few times with her and it is like a morgue with only a few places still open. For whatever reason we went to look at closet interiors for storage ideas- in my next life I will come back with someone who has a dry cleaner's moving rack in my closet. And I ordered my bathroom fixtures there because she had a long standing relationship with the owners and could get a good deal.

But people don't go there without their designers because what few stores are left are to the trade only.

Couldn't help but remember what a big deal it was when Kyle called Kim an alcoholic on camera every time Dorit explained that really the problem with her marriage was that PK had a drinking problem. Was an alcoholic. Was a raging alcoholic. Was a total raging alcoholic.

It seemed to get worse every time she told someone.

And seriously, they're not telling a 10 year old that they're separated and think they'll get away with that? I get that it's easy for them since they seemed to spend months away from each other anyway but...you're saying this on TV.

Erica shopping for new expensive furniture for her rented poolhouse home was ridiculous.  Of course, we never saw her actually buy anything.

Calling Kyle's appearances a career is too kind :-) She had some jobs as a child - nothing major and she was essentially an extra as an adult. Any jobs she has had are recent and are pretty stunt casting because of her actual "career" as a BH housewife.

Garcelle was a legitimate working actress who had real roles. I rewatched NYPD a few years ago and she was a DA with an actual storyline who appeared in multiple episodes. I am sure there are others but that is the one that stands out because she was excellent in the role and because she was so f'ing gorgeous.

I don't doubt the Dorit/Kyle feud will last all season (judging from the previews of the next episode). Dorit seems angry (PK suggested the separation), and she desperately needs a storyline. Attacking an OG HW is a clever move. Kyle is not innocent though. She mentioned more than once they were never close friends, contrary to what obviously Dorit believed.

Dorit can’t let anything go without beating it to death a hundred times, and she is incapable of self reflection or personal growth. So, as much as I don’t care about her separation or friendship fight with Kyle—-she might just be the Perfect foil for Kyle. Everyone else lets her skate after a few fake crying gravel voiced apologies. But Dorit will want a blood oath.  She’s going to torture Kyle with her victimhood. I might enjoy that. 
 

Kyle needs to stop word-souping around her fake sexuality journey. If she doesn’t want to talk about it, then stop dropping hints and using it as a storyline.  She’s trying to make other people feel bad for asking questions when she’s doing everything she can to invite the questions.  Just Be Honest! Kyle lol or STFU cuz it’s so boring and annoying now. 
 

I like Boz. I thought she was going to get into it with Kathy for the ‘boss’ comment. That was weird. But she said “boss? I’ll take it!”  Can’t see Dorit not getting on her nerves fast tho. 
 

Are Garcelle’s movies about real girls who have gone missing? If so, that’s awesome. Black girls don’t get the press white girls get when they go missing, as we know.  Good for her that she’s getting so much work.  
 

I hope Jennifer Tilly isn’t just on the show to tell Sutton how Fabulous she is.

On the other hand, this is a HWs show, where alliances friendships shift over the seasons, so anything is possible.

I know Garcelle had real credits to her name before BH but let's face it, women of a certain age tend to disappear in Hollywood so good for Garcelle getting more work and vehicles to direct, opportunities from her face being on camera every week and keeping it classy has really worked for her.

Kyle is using it as a storyline. She says that there is nothing going on with Morgan (?, name), and her next comment is that she discussed it with her daughters. She didn’t mention what was discussed. Was it the media frenzy (well, that's relative, I mean "frenzy"), her being upset about it, or her actual feelings for the woman?

Sutton and Kyle were an homage to Home Goods art. A few years ago, Home Goods was overrun by these paintings of animals wearing floral headdresses. I would expect this of Kyle. Et tu, Sutton??

Most outfits were a surrealistic fail.

I think the landscape for older actresses has significantly changed with the advent of cable and streaming services.

Yes it is still unfair that you can have an old actor have a love interest with a 20 year old actress but television and streaming seems to be offer a lot of opportunity.

Most obviously the remake of Matlock with Kathy Bates seems to be a major hit on a broadcast network.

But the streamers have so many really excellent shows for woman of a certain age - Jodie Foster, Kate Winslet, Anniston and Witherspoon. A slew of others especially British imports like period dramas or mysteries like Magpie Murders.

I used to go to movies quite a lot - even well past the age when theoretically I wasn't the "audience" but I look at current movies and there is literally nothing I want to say - lots of comic books and fantasy or equivalent.

I've noticed a pattern with Kyle not seeing the other women as close of friends as they see her.

Vanderpump always seemed more invested in the friendship until Lisa prays on the weak and all that. She seemed to adore Kyle that first season and referred to her as her "best friend." I do believe their friendship was played up for the show but that Lisa did consider her a bestie.

Kyle once yelled at Erika something like "do you not have good friends?" when the women were discussing her close friendship with Teddi. Erika responded that she did and that she considered Kyle one of them. 

Sutton said something about Kyle not losing another sister by losing her as a friend. Kyle responded with "don't flatter yourself." Ouch. 

Regarding Dorit, Kyle said their families have only been on one trip together. I'm sorry, but while that doesn't necessarily make for best friends, for most people it does still take a friendship of sorts to go on even a single trip together. I wouldn't do that with just anyone. 

I get that it could be annoying when you feel like it's disingenuous of someone to portray you as their best friend when you're not or act like you're as close as sisters when you're not. (I feel a bit awkward when I know someone doesn't like me that much but refers to me as a sister or says they love me.) But this pattern of women thinking they're actually good friends with Kyle and Kyle being like nope, it's not pretty. It seems like unless you're her lifelong friend, you don't mean much to her.

But we did see her sit on something that someone else could possibly buy, even knowing that her spray tan would probably stain it.  That's why she sat on something dark in color - she even said it.  

To me, this was a promotional stunt for the store at the design center, however, it probably cost them more because they obviously should not be selling the furniture she sat on during her conversation with Dorit.

I can't imagine why Erica would want to invest in expensive furniture to fit her small rental house.  Can she even afford to buy anything that expensive?

In that one interview that we talked about in the media thread, Kyle says that the conversation with her daughters was one of the hardest conversations she's ever had in her life. If the conversation consisted of "I know the media is running wild with rumors that Morgan and I are an item, we're not. I'm not into women. I liked Boz, as well - she looks/sounds like she will be able to hold her own with these women.

Kathy Hilton just annoys the hell out of me - I don't like her, never liked her, and that right there ("Hello, Boss") is one of the reasons.  I think that Kathy just thinks she is so above everyone else that she doesn't even pay attention enough to hear** and repeat someone's name correctly.  She managed to cover her faux pas quickly this time, but it was still there.

Kathy is rude, condescending and a snob.  

**Or, another thought - maybe she is experiencing some hearing loss and is too vain to get hearing aids?

As they were introduced, Kathy said she knew who Boz is, so I was unsure if it was a compliment because Boz has been the boss at so many places or if she was just being an asshole because she's Kathy Hilton

While you're right that if the conversation went the way you described, it should be easy, but I think that either way, this would be a difficult conversation to have with your kids, because of the speculation and rumors floating all over media and social media.  Plus, we know that Kyle is pretty emotional most of the time with her kids, and I think that she's even more emotional now, with everything she's going through.

I don't think that Kyle is seriously attracted to Morgan or any other woman sexually.  I think that she may have experienced some very deep feelings for Morgan and she may have felt a little confused, but not any longer.  

I hope that this storyline does not drag out for more than a few episodes, as it's boring and too reminiscent of that horribly Braunwyn woman from RHOC.
