I really felt the abused kids thing when Gabe was expressing wanting to be a team player and help to align the wives to comply, when Kody, feeling immediately threatened, shot back that Gabe was NOT the head of household or leader of the family.  You can tell that Kody feels threatened by his grown sons, who all for the most part seems more mature and smarter than him already.

Janelle has one sister, and I'm curious who will inherit the property in WY?   Is that the real reason Kody risked Covid so he could be there to scope things out?   Not sure if she lived on the ranch Winn had, but Kody loved the WY land.   I would love Janelle to get it - move her RV up there, and build a house up there.    It's where she went the first time she left Kody, so maybe it's a real safe place for her.

Sorry for the misinformation, Bobby Brown is not "late", it's 2 of his kids that are from drug overdoses.  Maybe great as a musician but not so much as a guiding influence on 2 of his kids.

It wouldn't be surprising if the property was deeded to the siblings that took over the running of the ranch so that no taxes would be levied when Winn passed. I have no idea the tax law in Wyoming.

If Kody ever takes Meri back it’ll be because she slipped him a love potion, like what happened to Ron in Harry Potter. There’s No. Other. Way.

Kody loathes Meri. You can see it in his eyes—she’s close to being revolting to him. How she’s so delusional to think she can win her way back is beyond me.

Ohhhhhh I agree Kody loathes Meri...but I think Meri has no real interest in Kody either.  She tried to leave him.  She is only pretending to be smitten with him 'cause she knows there is zero chance he's interested in her.

It's really a perfect fit her.  She gets to stay in that sh*tshow of a family AND be a victim of it.

Meri LOVES being a victim (maybe even more than Robyn or Kody do). 

I mean seriously the happiest she has ever looked is when she talks about how much she ADORES Kody but he can't stand her.  Giggle.  Giggle.

Intriguing observation. I feel like Meri still loves Kody and realises she fucked up by falling for, pursuing, leaving voicemails for and photographing herself with a banana for the catfish—when really she just wanted that attention from Kody. 

If she’s staying for spite, she’s awfully good at pretending to be smitten with Kody. I think that, even though she grew up with and said she was ok with polygamy, she really wasn’t. She was/is jealous when Kody is with other wives and I especially bet she regrets Robyn. Of all the wives, Robyn is the one Kody actually loves and has a connection with. So Meri is trying to stay on Robyn’s good side because it’s Meri’s only connection to Kody anymore. 

I agree with you that Meri loves being a victim. I also think her “strong woman” shit is a sham because she’s too scared to actually leave the family. It’s what she knows, even if she hates it. She posts that stuff about being kind and lifting other up when in reality, she’s been shown to be the opposite. Some of the kids were even scared of her when they were growing up. Meri tries to craft this version of herself, but she can’t live up to it. She’s too bitter inside.

At one stage it looked like he was actually working on the relationship with Meri with date nights etc and it seemed they were getting back on track. He said he hadn't listened or read anything on the tell all ..I think.

Then that seemed to change. I wonder if he did check them out and that repulsed him. Remember those early episodes when Meri asked how he would feel if she had another man and his reaction??

I've never read the voice mails or text between them.  But from what I heard about it she was talking bad about all the adults.  This could be why none of them want anything to do with her.  You said you read the voice mails.  Was this part of them?

I don't follow Janelle enough to know that she and Savannah were living on Prairie Dog Plague Pass in an RV. Was Kodouche in those posts? Because a thought just occurred to me? What if Janelle left him and what she got was her part of that God forsaken property? And until she can build, she'll live out there in an RV when weather permits?

 

If Kodouche was her posts during her RV life, then nevermind.

Someone here shared a link. There are a lot over 150 messages at all times of the day. She talked badly about Kody. She says I love you on most of them. What struck me was the desperation and control he had over her. Like " I'm sorry I missed your call, please answer me, you said you were calling but didnt say when but I have to go out at this time and will be back at this time so what time will it be?"...  It seemed he got angry if she didn't answer then he wouldn't answer her calls and the begging started all over again. They were on youtube I think? I couldn't find the post again so am unsure who posted the link, it may be in the Meri has a Wet Bar tab.

He was in some of them.  But she could be ramping up to leaving him and the RV might be part of that.

There's a new video on TLC's Instagram where Robyn talks about the unnecessary nanny testing positive for Covid. And she totally focuses on how the whole family got together for Ariella's birthday and now might be exposed to Covid. And all I can think is 1. They can be together for Ariella, but not for Ysabel's surgery or anyone else's birthday, and 2. If it was one of Janelle's sons who exposed the family, where would be no forgiveness from Kody EVER, and he would hold it over Janelle's head and the head of whichever kid caught it until the end of time. But since it is the Nanny, Kody and Robyn will try to play it like here's proof that we were right that the family shouldn't hang out together.

When I watched that one I was wondering if Robyn had to write out her bullet points on note cards and put them up on the wall like a storyboard.  That way she could get her "genealogy" right to spin the story the way she needed it to go. It's a subtle case of "I don't think it works the way that you think it works"

I’m not buying the whole Meri and Kody story. Both have said for years that they’re still spiritually married, but not together. They’ve never formally split (after the legal divorce) so there is no point in getting back together if you still are a couple (which they’re not)

Confusing? You bet! They’re probably not getting it themselves either… I think that relationship is damaged beyond repair. They stopped being a couple years ago and hang on to the spiritual aspect for the sake of the show.

The corn can episode is the one where they had 70-some guests at a Thanksgiving dinner.  Janelle was supposed to help, but she didn't consider herself creative, so it ended up being mostly Meri doing the centerpieces.

Just throwing this out there. Kody has been angry, to my recollection, at least since his landscaper buddy came out to Prairie Dog Pass and the wives all made snow angels. Could we be seeing roid rage? He’s at an age where a little chemical boost might help him lose his belly and maintain his muscle mass.  He’s all about his appearance, and, as an aging jock, might not think twice about using steroids to tweak his body.

That's an interesting theory!  It would fit the weight lifting we saw him doing (ok...once) in Janelle's garage. Guys full on steroids often have issues with their temper which can barely be controlled and a sex-overdrive due to the extra hormones. It's the last bit that doesn't really seem to fit in. I mean, he had 4 wives and effectively dismissed 2 that year. Kody is the type of guys who would have no problem with keeping them on for some "nightly relief" only.

But he seems completely done with the physical side of marriage himself! He dropped Meri years ago, Christine is told this season that he's no longer physically interested and most of us agree that his relationship with Janelle is mostly a strong platonic) friendship. Which leaves only Robyn and yes, she is constantly running to VS. But I am starting to wonder why... is it because she wants it, or because she desperately tries to meet his insatiable needs? Or maybe because she desperately tries to keep him interested?

With Robyn, I agree with all the “stealth” comments that have EVER been made here. I think she and Kody are a very compatible couple and I think Robyn is more than happy to “get rid of” the other wives in regards to their intimate relationships with Kody. If they stay, fine, just keep it in the friend zone. I’m fairly certain none of the other wives are in rotation for “nightly relief” for Kody, he’s revolted by Meri and Janelle is a lump in the friend zone. 

With regards to the VS shopping, it’s hard to say. It may be “all of the above”. I personally love VS, they have high-quality apparel that fits well and makes me feel nice. I even have VS workout clothing and it fits perfectly—the best  running tops I’ve ever worn. I don’t know how they do it—even Nike hasn’t accomplished the level of comfort VS has with their workout apparel. 

I think Kody and Robyn are actually in love and Robyn is just playing a part so she doesn’t look like the bad guy as everything crumbles.

He is the king of "alienation of affection". That is why he is always with Robyn, she complies, she is obedient. He thinks he is all that and a bag of chips, but really to us he is the prick of the prairie.
