Sutton didn't ruin anything for anyone. She quietly left the show. Garcelle checked on her and it got back to Kyle that that Sutton was uncomfortable and wanted to leave the show. She never asked or demanded that the others leave unless I missed something.  Kyle saw an opportunity to egg Sutton on and stir things up. Kyle is missing her partners in crime with Lisa Lips and Diana gone. So she is going to pull in Dorit and Erika for sure and maybe Crystal. She won't rest until she gets Teddi back on the show.

Rewatching this now. Her body language was saying it all. She wasn’t pretending to be offended. She was angry, and wanted to let everyone know it. If she didn’t want to make a scene she could have quietly shown herself out.

I think the conversation they had with her prior to Magic Mike about her lack of second dates hurt her, despite her trying to laugh it off. Part of her was probably upset that even male strippers passed her over for her “hotter” friends (I’d see that as a compliment, but that’s just me).

That said, I wouldn’t have gone chasing after her, because that is the exact reaction she wanted.

I think this too. I think she was embarrassed by the whole convo.

My sister can get emotional and dramatic over nothing and run off in tears like Sutton. I spoke with my therapist about her and how it makes me feel embarrassed that my 30-something sister runs off crying like a little girl and that I have to try to play down the awkwardness. My therapist said the best thing to do in those situations is to just ignore them-that it's not my job to run after her, try to fix things, etc. I totally understand being a sensitive person. I am one myself. But the adults who make scenes and spoil other people's moments and good times? They're the ones who really need to care about their friends, family, coworkers, etc. Just because you leave in tears doesn't mean you're a victim and deserve coddling.

Also I think it is interesting that Dorit was so internalizing Garcelle's concerns re her sons. In a rare wise move, Erika was keeping pretty quiet and Kyle essentially agreed with Garcelle. But Dorit thought it was being directed at her and that's probably because Dorit is the only one who hasn't apologized.

Also someone said above that Garcelle was talking about the laughing because she couldn't talk about the bots but I am honestly not sure why that would be. They have long since broken down the fourth wall and talk about blogs, news articles, etc., all the time.

If she wanted to bring up the social media swarming she could have. But the people who many think are responsible for it aren't there anymore. So I think she was mentioning the issues that the people in the room were involved in. (Though I don't agree with Sutton that Dorit is responsible for PK's comments, I do think it is appropriate to hold her accountable for the laughter and her part of the conversation).

That was me who brought up that Garcelle talked about the laughing  because she couldn't bring up the bots. Bringing them up would be more than just breaking the fourth wall. If Garcelle had said she didn't trust the women around her kids, Dorit said why not, and Garcelle because of the bots that went after  him on social media, the natural response from the ladies should be that the bots had nothing to do with them. So then Garcelle would have to come out on camera and say she had proof that some members  of that  friend group were behind the bot attack. It would open a whole can of worms on camera that I'm certain Bravo doesn't  want opened. I'm  pretty sure Garcelle made a deal with Bravo that the bot buyers (Diana and Rinna) had to be gone in order for her to come back and for her to keep her mouth shut about  it.

Sutton definitely could have handled it better instead of ranting about how she wore pants and how she's on  the board of the ballet theater or whatever it was. She should have just handed her ones to the other ladies, told them the show was a little too raunchy for her taste, to have fun and she was going to go into the casino and do some gambling. Text when the show was over and they could meet back  up for a drink. If I were her I wouldn't have confided in any of them about what was really going on except maybe Garcelle and that would only happen off camera. Even if the others didn't believe her and suspected it was because she was feeling hurt or unattractive, a real friend would just totally go with the excuse given. There was no reason to do otherwise.

Agree. I don't blame her for being offended by Erika's display, but she knew cameras were on her. She could've bowed out more gracefully. I think Sutton had a few too many drinks and reacted in the moment of emotion.

I thought the grapefruit juice bit was a producer wink to Sutton being a day drinker. They are setting her up for an alcohol problem storyline. The "intervention" bit was another wink.

Garcelle's trust talk about her sons struck me as producer-manipulated. It semed to come out of the blue.

I think in a previous scene, Garcelle asked if anyone had any plans. Then laughed that she was the one who had organized this trip. She mentioned that she was going to see Oliver. Dorit then asked, “Oh, how is he?” So maybe it was Dorit pretending to care about anybody’s children other than her own son and daughter that bothered Garcelle.

Yeah, I just don't get that. This is a group who spent literally like years talking about whether or not Lisa Vanderpump planted stories in the blogs.

Buying bots to target someone doesn't seem all that different to me than planting stories and I really don't see why Bravo would care one way or the other if Garcelle mentioned it, especially since both Rinna and Diana are gone from the show. I don't think Garcelle was at all afraid to mention the bots, I just think she didn't think it was pertinent to the group of people who were there.

I thought Magic Mike show was a fun idea, I wish my girlfriends had done something like that on my 40th birthday.  Everyone but Sutton seemed to be having fun.  I'd bet anything Erika's simulated oral sex isn't a regular part of the act but something she choreographed before hand with those guys.  Remember she said Mikey's husband (partner?) is one of the dancers.

Yes, Erika was filthy but she's been filthy since day one.  She had a whole act showcasing her raunchy behavior for years.   That's who she is and everyone including Sutton know that.  No one else got too worked up about it - not because it wasn't disgusting, it was, but because the fun seemed to outweigh her few minutes on stage.

I was wondering about this as it seemed kind of excessive. I was taken aback by the guy eating whipped cream off Kyle. That seems so unhygienic for a dancer to do.

It’s disgusting!  I think about how everyone has skin mites.  I also thought that he could probably taste the self-tanner, which does not taste good.

I noticed he tried to put it in her mouth and she wouldn’t eat it.. she’s COMMITTED to not eating sugar.  🙄

I think Sutton was jealous and I wonder if she had just waited a beat if they wouldn’t have come to get her for another part of the show like they did Kyle, or they saw she was wearing wearing her edgy white Talbots ensemble and said nah, maybe she doesn’t want to get dirty.

She didn’t seem jealous, there was a moment where one of the guys was walking past her and she fully cringed away from him like “don’t even touch me ewww!”  She was grossed out.

Matter of fact, Erika has some of the most beautiful skin I've seen on a 50+ woman. The texture is incredible. She looks like she never struggled with acne once in her life. It's like she has no pores, no bags under her eyes. Don't see anything that needs lifting, yet she doesn't look all frozen with Botox or puffy from filler. I'm sure it's a combo of genetics and loads of money going to the best people for work, but most of the other women do not have skin nearly as nice as Erika's even with the same lighting, pro glam, and also getting work done like Erika does.

Wait what?  Are you being facetious?  She has a potato face!  She’s super puffy, and her face shape is terrible, which doesn’t help.  Her skin looks like crap, blotchy.

Remember when she made an entire SEASON storyline about how PK joked about her not wearing underwear?  Now she’s spread eagle with some dude’s face in her crotch.

I agree that you can see in Sutton's facial expressions she went from "I wore pants for nothing" to "what in the world is going on?" I think she expected the guys to take their shirts off and dance around, not simulate oral sex.

Nope. I always thought Erika was a gorgeous woman, even when I haven't liked her behavior. I don't know many 50-somethings with skin like hers either.

I agree with you there. Erika is all about being provocative, but then turns around and clutches her pearls and is nonstop drama over comments that she received apologies for.

So I did watch the episode in full yesterday.. and the thing I'm noticing these shows are that things seem to go from 0 to 100 very quickly.

I noticed that the situation between Garcelle and Dorit also seemed to go from 0 to 100.  Garcelle was being honest about not trusting the group when it came to her family, which given what happened is understandable... but the respect Garcelle is looking for in terms of her feelings, I feel she wasn't giving that to Dorit.

Sorry Garcelle.. if you're going to be honest with people, don't be surprised if you get a little pushback.  That's how the world works.

At the same time, while Dorit was entitled to feel hurt by that statement, one of things she should have asked Garcelle was 'what can I do to restore that trust'.  Although even if she did that, I'm sure Garcelle would have found some way to twist that.. because Garcelle doesn't like Dorit and I have a feeling Dorit doesn't like Garcelle.

Sutton made a scene.

Me: Did she though?  Just getting up and walking out of a large auditorium doesn't scream 'scene' to me.  Now Kyle stomping out after her and demanding to know what's wrong?  Mmmm, maybe that's where the 'scene' comes in.

Other thoughts:

LOL forever at Dorit rolling her eyes and saying Sutton makes everything about her.

Garcelle has every right to not trust those women to discuss her kids with, not after last season.  Of course, Miss "Everything is about me" got offended by that.

My neck is screaming in pain at Kyle putting a heavy weight behind her neck to do sit-ups.

Sutton’s facial expressions were part of it. I agree she didn’t scream and storm out of there, but to suddenly walk out visibly upset, you could tell she wasn’t simply excusing herself to use the ladies room.

Totally agree with you about Garcelle. Garcelle isn’t holding a grudge over some petty nonsense. The lack of respect for her kids was gross, just like it was gross when the same women didn’t respect Denise’s children.

Dorit just doesn’t like Garcelle for some reason. If Garcelle is direct, Dorit feels bullied or hurt in some way. If Garcelle is more quiet and soft in her approach, she is labeled passive aggressive. If Garcelle teases Dorit, it’s a jab. It’s no big deal when it’s a single one of the other women who all make fun of things like Dorit being longwinded. Dorit generally comes across as one of the more harmless women in the bunch, but I wouldn’t blame Garcelle if she gives up on her. She can’t win no matter what she does.

Then again, we are talking about a woman who screamed bloody murder at her "House Manager" (WTF is even that?) to find her white pants, which were hung neatly in the closet, as it turned out.  I hope she pays him well, poor guy.

He seems eager to be a regular - I think they worked up this act of Crazy Boss/Patient Butler together.

That was my hit, too.

Like Avi really wants screen time, but the only way he & Sutton can make it happen is by Sutton playing weird, demented boss.

Lots of overlap with personal assistant, but more likely to actually have formal training in function planning, etc)

I hope you're right although Sutton comes off terrible so I'm not sure why she would do that on purpose.

I was even thinking that if she speaks to waitstaff even half as badly as she spoke to Avi  it's probably one more reason why she has a lack of second dates.

I've long believed you can learn a lot about a person's character by the way they speak to and treat waiters, especially on a first date.

Dorit is a: dish it out, but can’t take it person with Garcelle. You’d think she’d be able to take a joke being married to PK & his ‘British humor’  but the slightest criticism and she acts like a big butt hurt baby with her nose in the air. I like her less each season.  I hope Garcelle doesn’t end up apologizing to that stuck up windbag. She Lives to have people kiss her ass.

Garcelle is free to leave the show at any time. No one is forcing her to stay except her hidden desire for more Birkins. Dorit stays because her desire for Burkins is much stronger, so she takes her lumps as a HW and keeps it moving. At this point Garcells kids were “attacked” both on and off screen, he sons have told her on screen that they aren’t too thrilled with her parenting and want to live with their dad. The one thing I’ll give to that crazy HW from the OC, when the show started affecting her teen daughters too much, she bailed on the show. Garcelle herself told her son, well you should have told me, not that it would have stopped me from going but you should have told me. She is clearly NOT going to put her family over the show (that she likes to call “work” to make it sound better).

If Garcelle just wants to hold this over the other HW heads forever and bring it up when she’s got no other story line going , she..can…leave!! (said in my best Meredith Marks voice), cuz it’s boring me.

Did Kyle stomp out after Sutton, though? Seems to me that Kyle went on and participated in the show and only gave Sutton the attention she was looking for after all that (and because Kyle needed to use the bathroom after everything with the whipped cream).

Garcelle is the one who went looking for Sutton. To be fair, I think Garcelle did so because she was genuinely concerned but she's the only one who went out specifically looking for Sutton. (I don't think Garcelle was looking to make a scene. I do think Sutton was and Garcelle unfortunately played into that).

I'd bet that boutique is mainly a  fun tax write off for Sutton.

I have no idea why in the hell she wanted to become a RH, maybe she got bad advice from a friend; it wasn't for the money, but for the fame.  And she clearly enjoys it or she would not continue.  It's a mystery to me.

She was newly divorced, just a housewife that her husband gave her an allowance only before the divorce, and she wanted the fame. The opening of her boutique coincided with her becoming a "friend" in 2019. She probably hoped she would become a full time HW, but she didn't (she became one the next season). So, it was planned.

She probably wanted to "show" her ex husband, as well according to what she said in the previous episode.

Oh she'll do it - that's a perk of being a "fan favorite".  IMO she shouldn't be bringing her teenagers on to her show to have meaningful conversations about her parenting insecurities - and I think they're tired of it.  And we were reminded that she did it with Oliver too, although he at least had a "past" to apologize for, and adult agency to have turned her down if he hadn't wanted to do it.

Sutton has seriously thin skin for someone that talks to her assistant the way she does, screams insults at Crystal (a previous season) and bullied pregnant Teddi right off the bat.  She needs to calm down and lighten up.

Also, anyone that talks to their employees the way Sutton does just isn't the  classy person she imagines herself to be.

I already mentioned that I had a problem with the way Sutton treats Avi. Even Jennifer Tilly, her friend said that Sutton is overbearing to say the least regarding Avi in a previous episode. She couldn't find the white pants which were in front of her, but she acted like poor Avi was in fault, and she doubled down in this episode.

It's probably because Kyle was wearing a very short dress.  I'm starting to think Erica's advice to wear pants meant, "If you want sexually simulated spread eagle crotch eating then you need to be wearing pants."  I dont think any of those men would want a bare naked vajayjay in their face.  🤣

This is the type of interaction I'd like to see between Avi and Sutton on the show.

Someone in the comments asked about her former assistant, Josh, and Sutton responded that he has a new job but they're still great friends. I had wondered where Josh went.

The timing of how much fun she has with Avi on the video is suspect. She posted the video just after the episode aired, where her behavior regarding Avi was not exactly what one would expect from a Southern Belle who mentions manners frequently.

TBF, every HW does this with social media content after they've had a "bad episode."

Sutton got ripped by some people about her behavior in the comments. I didn't get the impression anyone was giving her a pass for how she spoke to him. I didn't care for it.

I wish she would get her shit together for the rest of this season.

She also was simultaneously doing a talk show the last few years (I think it's over now). She strikes me as somebody who constantly is working to stay working - definitely not sit back and rake in the HW cash (though she obviously will do that too!)

We don't know their living situation, but it's also possible that they're just teenage guys, they're at school/extracurricular stuff 10 hours a day, sleeping 9 hours a day, playing video games 5 hours a day, and are annoyed when mom isn't waiting patiently in the next room to make them snacks when they deign to seek her company. Doesn't make anybody bad, just tunnelvisioned.

I definitely agree that she could handle her kids' on air time better - film more lighthearted stuff than the deep discussions. But maybe she does and they don't air it. I also think it's pretty typical of older teen boys to want to try out other living situations and if Dad appears to be offering a more lax one (or even just a change in venue), they'll go for it.

Let's also be honest that Housewives is a lucrative gig. Garcelle is a very successful woman, and she's been a working actress for decades. That is no small feat. But life is expensive and getting more expensive. Kids are expensive. LA is expensive. I'm sure they've gotten accustomed to a certain lifestyle. Garcelle is sooo beautiful, but Hollywood can be extra hard on women out of their 20s and especially out of their 30s. I can see it being difficult to resist gigs like RHOBH and The Real because you don't know when the next opportunity is. I'm sure like most moms she's done her best juggling work and being with her kids.

Bravo and Andy would probably much rather air the “uncomfortable” scenes because they’re more “dramatic.” (That also can provide an unfair impression of reality, not that they particularly care about that — in the editing room a lot of things can be made to be taken out of context.)

I found nothing really surprising about what Jax told her, TBH, but I understand why Garcelle is upset at hearing it. I’d rather hear it now, though, than wait for it to blow up when he is an adult.

He seems eager to be a regular - I think they worked up this act of Crazy Boss/Patient Butler together. (House Manager is the modern term for butler - they handle household logistics. Lots of overlap with personal assistant, but more likely to actually have formal training in function planning, etc)

That wouldn't surprise me at all. And she was trying to be funny when she was singing him out the door. Also think he's as much of a pal as an employee can be. They seem to spend a lot of time together at home and at the shop.

I think Jax was more upset about when she goes out of town to film, like the 3 weeks or months they discussed. And he's the only one who who wants to live with the father. His brother was kind of shocked by some of what he said. He also wants to stay at home more in large part because he's got a girlfriend nearby. As many have said, good to get it out now rather than lash out later.

I totally agree that Erica's bare skin is awful and very blotchy. Does she have rosaecia? And if so, isn't there treatment for that? She and Lisa from Salt Lake really cake on the makeup to mask the flaws.

That whole scene was tawdry and disgusting a real low for even Bravo. I hate to think what they will do next for "entertainment." it seems like nothing is off limits these days.

I'm not bothered by the antics on stage as that's what Magic Mike's does, and Chippendales dancers have performed some raunchy scenes with their audience. Anyone attending expects salacious moments.

However, I am surprised Bravo showed as much as they did, as even I was cringing watching it. I guess they felt they should show the scene to give context to Sutton's outrage?

I thought this was run up for Erika's pat the puss, she wants to be on stage and play that sex kitten, dirty girl performer and this was the perfect opportunity to do that, in the past other cast members had problems with her out there sort of naughty girl persona, she has worn a necklace that said, "C*nt," has shocked other HW's by her music video's and stage show, not sure why Sutton would expect anything else when Erika takes the stage at a Magic Mike show.

Sutton took a money gun with her, I wish the others would have told her it was not the thing to do at this sort of show since it takes place on stage and these guys are not going to dive for dollars.

I feel for Sutton, all the other women have had a significant amount of work done and are comfortable with themselves, Sutton has done nothing surgically, (I am not saying she should) but if she is dating in Beverly Hills she has to be competitive because it seems to be a small pool of men and if she has to see Dr. Dubrow so be it and maybe she would be more confident.  Don't get on me for saying she needs to change her physical appearance but we see the women in that town and it would level the playing field a bit...a little nip tuck or refresh.

I hope she doesn't get surgery and that she meets somebody who vibes with her weirdness and doesn't want yet another Jawline 3/Eyelift 2/Lip filler 5 from the California plastic surgery options chart. This may entail moving to the East Coast.

I once had dinner with a woman who was moving out of Arizona because her sons were getting to middle school age and all the girls in town were getting nose and boob jobs at 16 and their moms were all completely overhauled and she thought they already were developing warped views of what female humans actually look like. Just from watching reality tv I feel like I'm adjusting to the manufactured "look" - occasionally I see a picture of someone I once thought was grotesque and find myself thinking they're not that bad...

Disordered eating. She was not nearly this thin in her earlier seasons.

While I do think that Sutton was completely ridiculous and overreacting, I viewed at as first she was disappointed that she wasn’t chosen because SHE WORE PANTS, but then when she saw just how raunchy it was she was disgusted. The Chipendales of yore was not that full-on.

Kyle is straight up mean. Girl needs a cookie.

Yes she is.

Sutton has always had stick legs and been very thin.  I am not noticing a difference but I will pay attention.

Interesting to watch Kyle having to do more of the first hand stirring.

Please…no more Teddi.  I saw a minute of her on Bravocon crap and that was more than enough.  I was ok with her during her seasons, too - but hope she remains in the past tense.

YES!  Honestly, does anyone like her?  Her voice even grates.  I guess if they want to end the show they can throw her on there.

Same. I don't know if she's lost weight in other places, but Sutton has always looked pretty petite with teeny legs. I'm a tall woman who weighs 107-108 lbs. My legs aren't even as thin as Sutton's.

I like Sutton but I cringe at her on occassion as well so this wasn't the best look. While I think it would have been a good idea to leave a little less noticabley upset I'm also gonna give Sutton the right to get it wrong. She didn't want to be there so she left. Could she have done a whole demure excuse me I'm going to the bathroom and hidden her discomfort? Of course, but at the same time it really ain't that deep that she chose not to 100% hide her discomfort. Who cares? If I'm Sutton and I'm over it then I'm over it. It doesn't need to be made into a big thing where people are asking me to explain myself. THAT'S what turns it into a big deal. As much as people want to say that Sutton WANTS to bring attention to herself I think it's actually the opposite. She knows she awkward and she knows she's not gonna explain herself well that's why she makes her attempts to walk away when she's upset or uncomfortable. What I've noticed as "per show design" a housewife doesn't get off that easy. There needs to be a discussion and not everything needs a sister circle.

I think Sutton is the type that could use the whole "Imma pretend nothings the matter" approach that I tend to adopt in those type of situations. She can have her misstep moment where she knows she wasn't as gracious and have no one make an issue over it. I think it's way more corny and obnoxious to force an explanation out of Sutton especially since these women already know that she has her quirks. If I was in that friends group I would have been like when we get up to Sutton I say we just leave it alone, go on about our business and don't even mention it. Besides, I know I don't want to drag anything out anyway and Imma want to continue enjoying what's left of the evening.

They are very thin, she has an unfortunate figure, thick waist, no curves...in a town that demands perfection in women it is a good thing she is rich and can dress accordingly to flatter her physique.

How those twigs legs of hers didn't snap in two when landing a Grand Jete I'll never know.

I love that she has Fortnum and Mason tea, I was in London last month and I stocked up to last me till my next visit!

Some women like that kind of stuff and some are uncomfortable when the sexual content gets a little too raunchy.  To each their own.  I don't think that Sutton was jealous of Erika and Crystal. I think she was genuinely disturbed about it. But she didn't make a scene. She just got up and left. I would have done the same thing. It was the other women who ran after her trying to make more of the situation than it was. You couldn't pay me to go to one of those shows. I really thought they fell out of favor years ago.

Me too - I was uncomfortable watching it.  That's just how I am.  I think her saying 'I wore the pants for nothing' was because there was no way she was going up on that stage, not that she was jealous.

Sutton joined a reality show- she wants the attention.

As for leaving quietly, she was shown on last night's episode rushing out of the Magic Mike venue, trying to remove her mic pack, saying "I want to take this  f.... mic pack off" to the film crew which was following her. So, she did cause a scene. It was not the first time either.  She was shown making a scene about unimportant issues through the years on the same episode.

I agree that Garcelle tries to accept most employment opportunities because the industry is sexist, and she doesn't know for how long she will have offers. Society is also still harder on women regarding raising kids. But it seems her son might have an issue with her being on a reality show (and him bullied on social media because of it), not only with her being absent in order to work off site.

She's didn't cause enough of a scene that SHOULD have disrupted anything. I mean it's a strip show and men are dancing on the stage with 2 of the cast members. Like I said, it wasn't for all that. The only reason why it WAS a big deal was because there was the typical "follow up" that turns into the "big thing" Sutton did wrong. <yawn> and <eyeroll>.
