thuganomics85 January 12, 2015 Share January 12, 2015 (edited) The Birdman writers seems like they would be a fun group to hang with at a party. I just need to learn how to pronounce all their names. Only time I really laughed at Wiig and Hader's bit was when Hader began laughing at Kristen's bad De Niro impression. Besides that, I was expecting much more. Avaleigh January 12, 2015 Share January 12, 2015 Jane Fonda looks good! I'm not wild about the dress but she's certainly making a statement about what a woman can look like in her seventies. 2 Link to comment
backformore January 12, 2015 Share January 12, 2015 Jennifer Lopez' s dress looked like there was piece stabbing her left breast. She violated that rule about choosing EITHER a low neckline OR a slit skirt, but not both. Showing some leg is sexy, showing some cleavage is sexy. Showing both, you risk looking slutty. 9 Link to comment

bmoore4026 January 12, 2015 Share January 12, 2015 I had to stifle a big guffaw when they had that shot of Francis Mcdormand during Maggie's speech. She sooooo looked like she wanted to punch someone. 2 Link to comment
backformore January 12, 2015 Share January 12, 2015 Lupita is gorgeous. I love that dress. No kidding! She is one of the few actresses who ALWAYS picks a stunning dress. It's not just that she's gorgeous, she has impeccable taste and/or the best fashion advisors in the world. 7 Link to comment

absnow54 January 12, 2015 Share January 12, 2015 Frances McDormand looks utterly miserable. I actually hope she's okay. They seriously need to retire the Frances-cam and find someone else who's actually drunk enough to want to be there for the rest of the show. 1 Link to comment

thuganomics85 January 12, 2015 Share January 12, 2015 So, Maggie at least guarantees the Gyllenhaal family won't go home empty-handed. Jake's category is still up, but he's going to have a tough one against David Oyelowo, Eddie Redmayne, and The Cumberbatch. Link to comment

Is Frances the Taylor Swift of the Golden Globes? They keep panning to her. Good for The Affair. It is a show that I over-analyze way too much. Plus it has Joshua Jackson. I am just glad it did not go to Downton. 2 Link to comment
Valny January 12, 2015 Share January 12, 2015 (edited) I yelled WHAT!? when the said The Affair. Never saw that coming. I thought it would be Game of Thrones. I watch the Affair and it's good, but I never thought of it as great. But whatever, good for them. Also thought that McDormand was almost a lock but boy I was surprised when they didn't say her name. That was a tough category though to pick from Edited January 12, 2015 by Valny 2 Link to comment

thuganomics85 January 12, 2015 Share January 12, 2015 Though Game of Thrones had a shot, but nope: Globes apparently really loved McNulty from The Wire and Alice Morgan from Luther cheating on their spouses! Kidding, I'm sure it's good. I notice John Doman was on stage to, so that's two guys from The Wire. And, Josha Jackson too, so that's cool. Link to comment

I also love Kevin Spacey, so yay for him. This is the best I think I've ever seen Katherine Heigl look. Whoever the girl is escorting people offstage, I like her dress. It's Kelsey Grammar's daughter. Apparently she's an actress on the show "Awkward". Edited January 12, 2015 by loriro 1 Link to comment
Mumbles January 12, 2015 Share January 12, 2015 "Dad's Army" is going to be a movie? I'm not a Brit, I've never seen it, but all I know is that Monty Python used it as the paradigm for hacky, corny trite sitcoms. If that's what Catherine Zeta Jones is up to, well, that doesn't seem that good. I've never heard of "Pride" but it looks interesting. Link to comment

thuganomics85 January 12, 2015 Share January 12, 2015 Kind of surprised that Kevin Spacey's speech was serious. I would have pegged him for a lighter one. Katherine Heigl didn't bug too much, at least. On the other hand, anytime I see David Duchovney, I always feel like he just sent someone a dick-pic a few seconds ago. Just find him sleazy for some reason. 9 Link to comment

sas616 January 12, 2015 Share January 12, 2015 I watched The Affair primarily because it followed Homeland on Sunday nights. I thought it was just OK. Usually, I lost interest about 1/2 hr. in. That could be because Homeland had me on the edge of my seat. The Affair not so much. Link to comment

Katie Holmes is seated so far up front too, that technically, while he was on stage, there was a Pacey and Joey reunion, which made my dormant shipper heart burst. 5 Link to comment
