The cast will be Ramona, Luann, Sonja, Dorinda, Kelly, Kristen.  They will be going back to St. Barts.

No Leah, No Eboni - who must be fuming with jealousy, lol.  Redemption.

No Leah, or Ebony because that's a Legacy cast, and those two were newcomers.

Reboot trailer

They say they are fabulous and great. On camera. They seem arrogant, and not that interesting, but I'm sure they think they are.

Nah.  Easy Pass.  Done.  This cast is made up of social media influencers, fashionistas, PR, communication types.  Way too manufactured.

Nothing can replace the OG Queens - Alex,  Bethenny, Jill, Luann, Ramona.

RHONY was one of the best HW shows, until they cast boring, horrible Leah and humorless, preaching Eboni.

It was my favorite for years but I detested Leah and then Eboni showed up to turn every event into a "learning experience" about being black. I don't watch Housewives to be enlightened. Garcelle (my favorite of all the Housewives),has referenced issues, when the conversation warranted it with her usual Class and Grace. Eboni was awful. I couldn't even finish the last season because of her and Leah. It's a shame BRAVO decided to let everyone go when it was obvious to everyone that those 2 were the problem.

So, I’m confused.  There’s a completely new cast coming July 16th?  I don’t like them already.  Then, there is the Legacy Cast including LuAnn, Sonja, Kelly, Dorinda, etc.?  There will be two shows shown?  The new cast will be every week.  The Legacy cast will be shown how often, and where?  And when?

The Legacy will be an ultimate Girls Trip in St. Barts and I think will air on peacock. It includes Ramona, Luann, Dorinda, Sonja, Kelly and Kristen. I do not know if a pirate will be in attendance.

The Legacy show will be short. A few episodes only. And I assume if it is successful in ratings, it will be renewed.

The reboot should not be billed as Season 14.

Since Andy wanted to do an all new cast (unlike Miami that paused for 8 years and then came back with at least half of the OGs), that means it's a new show and should start at season 1.

Crappie Lake looks chaotic. I'm in. I think the ladies will be endearing to the good folks of Crappie Lake and vice-versa. Glad that's airing on Bravo.

RHONY Legacy/RHUGT doesn't start filming until June, so that probably won't be out until 2024, or at least after the reboot season is over.

Ugh that new cast is way too young for me.  Social media influencers is not my thang.  I honestly dont even know if I"m going to give it a try.

But one of them was or still is in charge of J. Crew, that's a big deal.

Also, they will be arguing about things like cheese and I find that captivating! There could be (according to the trailer), a whole soft vs. hard cheese or should you be eating cheese feud going on all season and would not want to miss it!

Same lol. I enjoy both but if forced to choose, Team Hard Cheese all the way.

The Sonja/Lu show does not appeal to me at all.  Appears to be a condescending look at small town life by “glamorous” New Yorkers.

It may  have been good for the Benton economy to have the filming there, though.

I’ll take anything at this point.  Why couldn’t they have left the regulars and got a couple of new ones?  I’m not thrilled with the new.

I will take Dorinda over Jill any day.

Can’t take either.  Jill needs more money (yeah right) and Dorinda was very mean to Tinsley.

I’m with you.  Too young and sophisticated.  I want older and menopause.

Ramona, Lu, Sonja, Dorinda, Kelly, Kristen are reportedly collecting a payday of $250,000 each for 1 week of filming for RHUGT - Legacy - St. Barts.

Redemption.  RHONY was one of the best HW shows - until Leah and Eboni ruined it.

This new cast sounds and looks completely manufactured.  They are arguing about cheese.  BIG NO.

Same. New York is one of my favorite Housewife cities, maybe even #1. I adore New York itself. The women are unique. They're glamorous without trying too hard (like Beverly Hills). Most of the drama isn't too intense (also like Beverly Hills lol). I actually really like some of the women, like Sonja. Please, please bring back the REAL Real Housewives of New York.

Kidding.

I feel like anytime that a show has been on the air for what 10 years and the powers that be replace the entire cast they are taking a big risk. The show that was the Real Housewives of New York no longer exists. It will be a totally different show. Unless a much younger audience faithfully watches it may be a huge flop. And the thing is younger audiences are not attached to network TV.

I have no desire to watch the new version. They did not need to replace the entire cast just 2 members. And Bravo didn't have the guts to do this.

For me, it wasn't just two members, though.  Leah and Eboni were terrible additions, but the show was getting stale before they joined.  Sonja and Ramona's bathroom antics, Luann's on-and-off recovery/ sanctimoniousness, and Dorinda's obsessive bullying were dragging the show down, too.  And most of the cast were problem drinkers as well. The Try-Hard Twins were the final nails in the coffin.

I Could never understand why Bravo didn't read these women the riot act before signing contracts for a new season. Like maybe address Sonja and Dorinda's out of control drinking, Sonja's obsession with the gross sex talk and Dorinda's mean drunk bullying. They knew that this was getting old for the viewers so they bring in another drunk named Leah and a know it all killjoy named Eboni.  Yeah great way to fix the show.

I agree. The show was getting stale even with the OGs only.

I gave up on ALL "Housewives" shows long ago...well--the three I watched: Orange, Beverly Hills, and NY.  I stuck with NY the longest.  I'll watch a few episodes because I like the idea of replacing the entire cast: I can't think of any remainders I need to see.  I'd like to see Bethenny and Carole Radziwill tho'.

I'm especially happy to see Dorinda gone. Her background and personality seemed so right ... but then she became mean--simply mean.  So unattractive.

Bravo is trying to skew younger.

Same with the (2) main shopping channels on my service:  QVC and HSN.  They've dumped most long-time hosts. The ones they kept have to bring new personas: outrageous and CHATTY.  A lot of the products are more expensive. Mazel!

I'm convinced ageism is a part of the reason for the full reboot.

Every other franchise has sprinkled in newbies and cycled out the ones who haven't worked - in RHONY's case, it would've be Leah and Ebony. But Andy and Bravo didn't even show RHONY the grace to give them a chance. They just threw the women and the franchise away.

YMMV

So I'll take the Crappie Lakes and RHONY girls trips as much as Bravo will give us.

OMG, yes.  I can’t stand the ones on QVC and HSN.  Over friendly like their your best friends.  Get rid of some and stop with the best girlfriend schtic. We know you are there just to make money.

I love the oldies.  Sonja and Ramona were funny .  LuAnn always looking for sex, and Bethenny had great one liners.  Don’t like Beverly Hills .. too rich and I can’t relate.  OC gets on my nerves since Tamra and what’s her face, the rich one came back.

I think RHONY is awesome because it reminds me of Sex and the City. There's New York of course, Luann somewhat of a Samantha, female friendships, some fashion and glamour, but not over the top like Beverly Hills. Half those women aren't even nearly as rich as they want to pretend they are.

I posted something in another thread here about the glamour not even looking aspirational on Beverly Hills, just annoying and exhausting having to be dolled up to the nines for every little event. It's the same with the money. If you have lots of money you've earned honestly and are comfortable, wonderful. I like seeing beautiful homes, cars, clothes, and whatnot. The grifting and spending money like it comes from the tap isn't fun to watch. Just gross, sad, and superficial

The MOST "HILARIOUS" (and I think they're wondering WHY they made the choice) is MALLY. She's funny. Not as funny OR entertaining as SHE thinks she is.  She's a loose cannon that makes little off-color remarks (wink, wink)...but also gives production a difficult time with her antics.  Co-hosts are rolling their eyes--especially when she messes around with timing (which is always).

Shawn Killinger seems to have taken over as the FUN hostess...not sticking to the script, telling all kinds of personal stuff.  Producers probably hinted to her how she could keep her job when others were falling down in the cornfields.

The fight about cheese, it’s about someone eating it or not eating it?  And this is what the show is PROMOTING to lure in viewers???!
