I hate being added to group chats. I had a relative add me on a group text that was about her dad's surgery.  Everything she was saying I already knew. So it was that with dozens of people sending prayers. I exited the chat without commenting.   She later complained to my mother.  But to quote Joy "So what? Who cares?".

I do think social media should have identity verification before you can have an account.  And I think it's a mistake to assume all social media trolls are people living in their mother's basements.  Hatred is spread across a large swath of people.  And being able to be anonymous makes it a lot easier.

Joy was describing McCain, imo, as far as a party hack who casts doubt on the vaccine and the health professionals because they think it'll be good for their party. Just this Monday (or was it last week, I forget) she said there are "questions about the efficacy of the vaccine" by bringing up Sadler and she's constantly and consistently denigrated Fauci from the moment he arrived on the public stage because he is the face that is distributing information about the vaccine to the public. She does both of those things regularly for politics.

And her nonstop brazen lying and shilling makes it sort of sweet that her entire time on The View has been while her party has been losing. Perhaps she contributed to that by making her party look as bad as possible every day on The View.

Has she ever had to apologize for anything she has said? I don't remember any time when she had to correct her misstatements/lies.

Ha Ha, the Twitterverse is saying good riddance to MeAgain!

https://uproxx.com/viral/meghan-mccain-quitting-twitter-same-day-as-the-view/

Maybe she can brush up on her grammar and vocabulary when she leaves the View and Twitter.

Good for Stacy London addressing menopause. There are so many issues around it. It is hard enough to deal with symptoms in a personal space, but when you are at work it can be very awkward. Unless you are in a business that has a lot of other women (especially "older") dealing with the more visible symptoms like hot flashes can give your coworkers poor impressions. If you think that the "oh it must be that time of the month" type of thoughts (or comments) are unfair, the thinking around "oh, she's going through the change so she's totally unreasonable" is worse. The more it can be normalized, the better.

And there is def an ageist side to it. I worked with younger people, including my boss, and they would always have temp in the office so high, I had to strip off my clothes. I actually changed my wardrobe because of menopause. And I didn't even have it as bad as some women do.

I'll bet many women do! I used to love turtlenecks and cable knits and I had to give them up along with other cozy clothes that I can't wear now, even in winter. I know some people who have brazened it out at work, carrying little remote fans around, but that isn't something I felt comfortable with.

Lol...did you notice Sunny was frantically fanning herself when Stacy London was introduced. Then Stacy started talking about menopausal symptoms.

As a younger, cold-natured person, I'm so sorry. I never minded keeping jackets or even coats on at work. There's not much you can do when you are hot. I really think all offices need to keep the temperature somewhat cool.

Shut up, Meghan.  Nancy Pelosi agreed to 3 of the 5 but McCarthy put on a show and pulled them all (which was his plan).  Who is playing politics?

Oh for God's sake, here she goes on her Israel kick again.

Isn't Meghan always saying elections have consequences?  Well Democrats held the house and that is why Nancy Pelosi remained speaker.

This is just me hypothesizing but I would watch closely who McCarthy wants to put on the committee next.  He might have purposefully first put up people he knew would be rejected.

I suspect most of us do (including me) - it is hard to resist that, but you have to at least try. After all, we aren't all clones of each other and react differently.

Interesting.  Didn't the courts rule that Weinstein's NDAs could not be used to silence the witness to a crime? (as it should be).

With all of her upcoming free time, Meghan should practice thinking about what she wants to say and the right words BEFORE she opens her mouth.

I think the way MeAgain spoke to Schumer was very disrespectful.  But what the hell when she said it wasn't Repubs attacking  Jewish people? He was baffled as well.

I love this article on it:

https://decider.com/2021/07/22/meghan-mccain-clashes-with-chuck-schumer-the-view/

From the article:

Quote

Although Schumer had wrapped his thoughts on the matter, McCain pried for more from the senator, asking him if there was anything he wanted to say to Borgen after the hate crime.

“Of course I regret that he was attacked!” Schumer said, raising his voice as he interrupted McCain’s question. “I’ve condemned the antisemitic attacks countless number of times, and I’ll send him everything I said.”

But McCain still wasn’t having it: “With all due respect, it wasn’t coming from Republicans, it was coming from Palestinian activists. I think that’s the question people still have,” McCain prodded.

“Well, I’m telling you! The ads were done by Republicans that were saying Schumer didn’t speak up in defense of Israel,” Schumer said, cut off by McCain telling him that the Republicans weren’t the ones who were attacking Borgen in Times Square.

“No, no, no, I know that,” Schumer said. “The attack on him was terrible and regretful. I believe the day after he was attacked I put out a very strong statement about the attacks.”

After that, McCain had heard enough. She sat, eerily silent, as the camera cut over to Goldberg. As the anchor sent the show to commercial, she shook her head, rolling her eyes with an air of confusion.

Catt Sadler explained to MeAgain for the 1,000th time, that getting vaccinated is important and it means you won't die, even if you can get sick. MeAgain still didn't get it, I presume.

Catt also explained that her son was vaccine hesitant because of misinformation. And she said that misinformation is leading to people dying.

MeAgain managed to say that people are blaming Repubs. She also said that now she's worried, and before she was fine and talked about her trip to a casino (but she didn't admit that she caught a cold there!).

This article is about Catt, nothing about MeAgain.

She acted like he is responsible for hate crimes against Jewish people.  Her modus operandi is now attack anyone who isn't on her team. I wonder once she is gone if the View will get more guests.  Her obnoxious attitude probably made some guests stay away.

And I understand he had family who died in the Holocaust, so I think he knows a little something about real anti-semitism!  I'm not sure where her Jewish defense thing comes from other than a couple of friends (of course well known 'friends')?  I'm Jewish and I do know that many conservative Christian sects support Israel as they need it to be there for the final days and the rapture, not because of the Jewish people because the rapture sure doesn't include Jews!

MM asks a Jewish woman telling her personal story of what happened to her in a very specific sect of the Jewish religion if she was concerned she is encouraging hate crimes towards all Jews?.....

When she has repeatedly made statements lumping all Muslims together as being repressive towards women.

The 2nd Amendment was based on protection of slavery? The colonists worried more about protecting slavery than the possibility that external forces (or even the new government) would use force against an unarmed (and hence, an unprotected) population?

I thought the interview was pretty good, even though I didn’t know who the woman is. I could see the ladies were struggling to get their questions in, but not all interviews need to be peppered with questions every 60 seconds.

I actually liked the Sadler interview yesterday, too. I think the best part was when McCain thought she was going to use Sadler to cast doubt on the vaccine. You could see that Sadler very much did not like McCain attempting to use her in that way. Her response was perfect.

Probably helpful to read the source material Sunny referenced.  But if you look at what was occurring during that period, looking at who pushed for the 2nd Amendment, looking at the discussions about slavery during that period (the 3/5 Compromise), looking at slave rebellions occurring, etc... then it might  answer some questions.
