One of the clinical trials I audited was having medical residents use cherry juice instead of sleep aids. I didn't see how it wound up, but I thought it was interesting. People should know that herbal and non-traditional remedies increasingly get approval for research studies, so at some point, we'll have real scientific evidence about how some of these things work.

From what I've read I think you have to drink it fairly regularly; not like one glass will knock you out or anything. I just like a splash to flavor my water. Not enough to actually make a difference even if it does work, probably.

I did this once. In my defense, I was at a buffet and the person I was eating with said the pizza they just put out was really good.

I was at a buffet with two friends. For dessert they had soft serve ice cream, I had cottage cheese.

I like broccoli. I just haven't had it in a while. I've been doing lazy vegetables -- bags of salad and those little sweet peppers.

I like broccoli, and I ADORE asparagus. Now that I have an air fryer I always have it--I roast it up with a tiny bit of olive oil and kosher salt and fresh ground pepper. I love bags of salad and those little grape tomatoes.

Have you tried shishito peppers in a wok with a little oil, salt, and pepper?  On high heat until they blister a bit--mouthwatering!

That's not lazy. That's cooking! (Sounds good...I'd try that.)

I should try fresh asparagus in the air fryer.

I need to look into air fryers. I don’t want to spend a lot in case I don’t use it. I don’t eat meat so it would be for all my veggies and maybe tofu.

I had to go take my fresh-baked bread out. I made a loaf for my son 'cause that's the kind of mom I am. 😇

So when I left, she was walking, how does she know she didn't make the weight goal? Did she get close? And Dr Now is giving her 2 more months?  Was the 'big deal' that COVID stopped her from doing anything? They're in Texas. I think COVID didn't stop anybody from doing anything down there, especially just walking around the block. (it's a joke. don't come for me) I walked around the strip mall at night when no one was there - what's her excuse?

I got mine as a 25th anniversary gift at work. Its not my favorite but it was free (and expensive, I looked it up).

You are brave! I fear those hostile, exploding tomatoes.

I cut them in half. Explosions averted.

I taught myself to like it about 20 years ago. It just looked so healthy and I was trying to eat better. Started with a bit of cheese on it, now I can eat it steamed.

Roasted tossed with olive oil, salt and pepper then topped with a balsamic glaze.  Perfection.

I think they filmed this entire episode in a month. Irene never weighed "603 pounds." The apartment isn't hers. COVID was in full swing long before they ever started filming and conveniently used that as some "event" that dramatically altered Irene's "journey."

This show is such bullshit.

I think mine was on sale for around $200 CAD. They go on sale frequently so keep an eye out!

Exactly. As far as I know no state was locked down to the point of not being allowed to take a walk. Weight loss surgeries were postponed early on but she hadn't qualified for surgery yet so that was irrelevant to her.

Godfathers Pizza used to make a cinnamon sugar dessert pizza.

Finally won a game of spider solitaire.  I usually do a lot better than I am tonight.  Maybe I should switch to backgammon.

Her narration is putting me to sleep.   or maybe it is the Oreos.

Thanks, he was doing better so they kept me from visiting for 2 weeks. The day I was finally allowed to visit he died at 3 am ...we are all gutted but doing our best.

I'm so sorry for your loss.
