You mean you pick her to "win" getting married to carp-mouth dead-fish-eye Mr. No Personality Matt James? You're cruel!

I want Victoria to win that prize. Everyone else deserves better.

I see what you’re saying, but Matt was actually a different person with her! He lit up around Michelle and seemed more engaged and engaging. His kissing didn’t even seem like a fish-face—but maybe that was just because they had a better camera angle in the tight balloon basket.

I would totally say NO WAY IN HELL to a boxing "date." Nothing good can come of this fiasco.

Now Wells is a fight expert? Gah.

I wish these women had gotten together and refused to do this, and any guy who would sit and watch is an ass.

Exactly! This is insane. No way in hell would I box. It’s ridiculous that not one person stood up and said there’s no way in hell that I’m doing this, and the fact that you would expect your “future wife” to get punched in the f’ing face makes me question that you’re not the right person for me.

Is Matt just utterly lacking in understand of any situation ever? Is he just straight up stupid?  Is he just reading off a script? "Wow, this boxing match we set up to put a bunch of women who are competing against each other and have had a ton of personal drama lately against each other is getting violent and people are getting hurt? I am shocked, shocked!"

I could see her as the next Bachelorette.   I doubt she'd be chosen but I like her.  And her arms were amazing...like she lifts weights.

Glad you said that because I also thought he seemed to have more personality on their date. But then I thought maybe I just forgot moments of being alive in previous weeks.

I have no idea how much the Bachelor/ette can influence the dates they go on (like when Clare was saying how the strip dodgeball date wasn't her choice when she got backlash) but the boxing date was a bad look. Yeah, lets have the women get into a literal cat fight after being in metaphorical ones for weeks, all over a guy who is sitting there watching!

I didn't need the boxing "date" to clue me into the fact that he's not the right person for me. Any woman he chooses, if he picks anyone, is the loser IMO. Worst.Bach.EVAH.

I think there was also a stupid boxing match on Clare's season.

I think that if the Bachelor/ette truly has a problem with some of these "dates" they feel are humiliating or dangerous, that he/she would have some input and the ability to express their displeasure.   I just don't think that they do.

Go, Katie! My husband and I just binged all three seasons of Cobra Kai, and this is just like when the kids at one dojo get so toxic that some of the “bad kids” realize it’s gone too far and switch dojos to join the “good kids.” So I’m Team Katie and New Girls and whomever is kind and introspective enough to realize the mean girls are toxic and join Team Here to Make Friends. I’d rather be friends with a hooker than these trash bitches.

I think the dates are set up in advance and I'd be surprised if the bachelor/ette learns about the date much earlier than the contestants.

But the leads aren't chosen for their pushback nature.   They want go alongs.

If Michelle is a teacher,  did she take time off of work or is she doing a virtual classroon?

In all fairness, The Bachelor/ette isn't responsible for planning the dates.  I am glad that Matt has been giving Chris credit for the "awesome" dates. As far as Matt being dull, boring, bland and a bad kisser, with the exception of maybe Andrew Firestone, I believe all the others were labeled as such and worst.  Nothing new.

Andrew Firestone remains my favorite!!

What I find incredibly disappointing was that COVID was an actor in the last bachelorette show and this version of the Bachelor and what a striking difference.

What I liked about the bachelorette after Claire made her exit - because of quarantine there was nothing else to focus on so they focused on realness, especially the contestants relationships with each other as well as Tayshia. It was so refreshing because not only did we actually learn a lot about these contestants as individuals, we learned so much about them as actual human beings including how they interacted with others - be it fellow contestants and/or the bachelorette.

It made them real and relatable, and we remembered their names because we learned about them as individual, actual human beings.

Now comes this dreck of the bachelor and his season with TPTB rehashing awful, stereotypical tropes that is is a farce of itself (which was a farce to begin with). Tonight, we have more of Queen Victoria - WTH?, and yet more contestants when we don’t even know the names of most of the current contestants. And yet, they bring in more contestants. Thank goodness Miss Puerto Rico was wearing her sash because I can’t remember the names of the majority of the original contestants. Why? Because the producers chose them to charactures of various stereotypes rather than actual human beings.

Shut up Katie, you signed up for a reality show where women were chosen based on looks.   No one likes a tattle tale.   Its ridiculous to be hostile to these women but it is pretty much a competition.  It’s not cool to call someone an escort, especially based on rumors,  but who appointed Katie Girl Scout leader?

But plenty of younger women take advantage of older men, sometimes married, who take them on expensive trips, expensive restaurants, buy them expensive gifts.   I know a few who plaster their trips on Instagram.  You never see the guy they’re with, he’s always anonymous.

I think Chelsea looks much more beautiful with her natural hair than she did in the picture with her hair straightened.

I can understand that the girls who have been there for weeks are really distressed to have five new girls enter the fray. I CANNOT stand hearing them call themselves the "O.G"s 10,000 times. Clearly the girls were brought in to raise the level of drama, but who's to say they have any less right to be there? It's all production's decision, and Chris Harrison thinking he's done something innovative.

I don't think Michelle is that attractive, but at least as far as we were shown, she and Matt seemed much more comfortable together than he is with the other girls. Just the way he teased her about "winning" the zip ride was a lot more natural than he's been with most of the other women.

I think it was great that Katie said something even though the messenger always gets blamed. Calling Sarah trash and making up rumors as well as telling women to get out is bullying and ridiculous. The new women had no say on when they were brought in, so why not yell at Chris Harrison instead.

And Kit, speaking as someone who lives in Chicago, we have millions of people here and all girls don’t know each other. She may be stylish but doesn’t seem too bright. Matt and Michelle seemed to get along great but I wonder why he was immediately drawn to her; she is average looking. Nothing wrong with average but something interested him enough to want a one on one date. I almost wondered if they had already met but since she is from Minnesota it isn’t likely. I really hope Victoria is sent packing next week.
