Culture Check: How can we discuss a character's or actor's appearance without objectifying them? How can we express likes or dislikes and still respect an individual's humanity or be mindful that a character represents a person someone else might relate to or identify with?

Forgot to add that I am getting weary of Dante's complaining that he neeeeeeeds to know who murdered Sam. When the shoe was on the other foot-meaning when he would be investigating the murders of other people, cops (I'm sure, all were offscreenville), what did he tell the families of the victims?

He's so petulant about it. Does he think he can wear Anna down with his whining? (Actually, he probably could, given how weak and inept she is these days.)

I have to laugh that Anna keeps having to tell people that if they want her to arrest the person responsible for the murders, that person has to be alive.

Is there a town with stupider people in it that Port Charles? I think not.

Brook Lynne really needs to fire Lulu's ass. These days having a job like that is a privilege and she has zero respect for her job. And Maxie needs to stop supporting her.

Nice move away by Eva LaRue when Sidwell comes into the office.

Sonny makes an offer to Ava: `You deal with it now or you lose in court.`` That sounds a small, insecure man, and unfortunately is reminding me of someone else.

Oh horrors! Avery might have to speak to a therapist!  Quick, settle before that has to happen.

Kristina, no, Ava is not Carly. Which actually makes her a better mother for Avery.

Yes, Lucky told her he talked Jason out of killing Sidwell and she said he - Lucky - isn't a killer. She knows Jason has killed people.  She has her own reasons (whether people agree with them or not) to refuse to acknowledge she heard the threat: Jason was protecting his son who is also her son Jake's brother, Elizabeth wants to take down Cyrus her way with Lucky's help because her patients died and she got banned from her workplace due his actions, and because Cyrus went behind the Spencer Family's back at Turning Woods regarding visitation of Lulu and her care in the future. Laura and Lulu will always be her son Aiden's family and she personally is close to Laura, so it makes sense that she's not going to speak up for/defend the man who is so out of control that Laura got a restraining order against him. 

I was hoping for a semi-Valentine's Day episode where Lucky and Elizabeth with Aiden would be together with Dante, Lulu and Rocco to toast to/celebrate Laura and Kevin's love and the return of the LnL children to her life, but I guess I don't get to have nice things. 

The closest we get to love in the afternoon on Valentine's Day is Kristina talking to nuLulu (at her request) about Dante and Sam's love story and Ava and Ric deciding they want to have another round of sexy times. 

Not even the madly in love newlyweds got to spend time together let alone older couples.

There are so many sekrit family members on this show that they all feel completely random.

Sonny is the one who's always dragging Ava into court to fight over the custody agreement. For him to say he'll magnanimously agree to the original joint custody agreement is so typical of his delusional sense of importance. Any problems Avery is having is because Sonny keeps using her against Ava.

Alexis isn'tgoing Cassadine, she's going vengeful mother. She's not that different from Kristina, who would kill Ava in a minute if she knew she'd get away with it. 

Cody and Molly are not cute or amusing or whatever the show thinks they are. They are tedious and have no chemistry. Though I did like how Cody's jeans nearly took out Lucas, and that's how Cody and Molly finally got off the roof. (How tall is GH that they were heard shouting?)

I liked the Alexis/Jason scenes. It's also sad that Alexis had to handhold Jason and walk him through the reasons why he couldn't kill Cyrus.

Lulu, Charlotte is somewhere in the world, alive. Sam is molding beneath the ground. Not the same.

I love Ric but a spade is a spade he's a psycho a smarmy sexy one nonetheless. I never saw Liric in real time just clips and as much as I would love for them to give it another try, (with Liz being even more grown up compared to the 1st time)sans his unholy obsession with his mobster brother, Liz would be a fool to go down that route again.

They're extremely forced. Most couples are generally speaking but in this case it's so obvious that they thought of it because there isn't anyone else. And she's like 15 years younger than him. Sasha was ten years younger than Britt and Molly is about 6 years younger than Sasha. Next is Joss I guess. And yes I'd rather they try Cody/Lulu and maybe Molly/Chase for when Chalynn break up over the doofus (I'm guessing).

I'm surprised at how much I am liking Ric and Ava. I haven't cared about Ric before and Ava I think hasn't been used correctly since she broke up with Morgan. The pairing has made me interested in both of them.

Lucas and Isaiah have chemistry.

Lulu wanted that job so badly yet she's off talking to Kristina instead of showing up.

Sasha never meant to hurt anyone? Letting a dog loose could have hurt many.  I really hope the PI has that dog chipped with a mic and really didn't just think Sasha is so good Samaritan. 

Did Kristina imply Carly is a good role model? 

Has Ava forgotten why she got kicked out of the PH without Avery?  Are we supposed to forget her playing with the meds? 

Is Joss in jail too? Diane gonna be busy. 

Ric really is hateful to his own nieces. He hates Sonny more than cares about family.

For some reason I thought Ava got kicked out because she recorded Natalia and inadvertently outed Blaze when she gave it to the The Intruder?

In any case, Ava didn't mess with Sonny's meds. She discovered someone else was doing it and tried to use it for her own purposes. Still bad but it's Ava.

She went after the doctor herself. Valentine had the doctor giving Sonny a lower dosage.  Ava then had the doctor giving no dosage at all with her blackmail. Which considering Avery was in Sonny's care she didn't care about her safety.

Ava cares for her kids when it's convenient to her. She parked herself in Sonny's world to be his Mafia partner and screwed over her best friend in process.

What an utter snooze fest.

Elaine turned out to be a disappointment. I really thought she would pull one on Sasha, instead of confessing all. Like how it wasn’t possible for Mavis to get unhooked from her leash without human assistance!

The scenes with Alexis were the only ones worth watching.

At least we have Mac on Monday! Or will it be Tuesday?

I think I’ll go get my Mark Harmon fix for the rest of tonight. And the weekend.

Lucy and Brookie can take several seats. What, do they want concrete proof of Bald-headed Booby’s* guilt? Laura and Lucky’s words aren’t good enough? And I thought taking Mooby on as a silent partner helped them out of their financial funk? But now they also need Bald-Headed Booby?

But as far as I remember, Sonny never found out about this so that’s not the reason he kicked her out. Unless someone remembers better, I think @tessaray is right in saying she was kicked out due to recording the bigot, which is mind blowing.

Either way, it’s good that this custody story is over and now we can look forward to the many others to come (just kidding 😉).

Oh, no, this is wimmen's fault.  Specifically Olivia's.  She didn't tell Sonny he was her baby's daddy, so it's on her. 

I'm sure when the Gio secrit comes out, Olivia will be standing in line to slap Lois and Brookie, just like the scene from Airplane.

I hope that, if Ava tries to go at Liz and stake her claim to Ric, Liz just laughs and says "oh, don't worry, you can have him.  Just be careful if he prepares your drinks or meals."

They are very pretty together. I had hopes when she saved his life. But then she perked up in her scenes with Drew a while back and seems awake with Sidwell. It never lasts. 

Not that it matters much. The character lost me over the whole Irene debacle.
