I saw the first half of the show, and LOL that Carly and Brennan are sipping Champagne on the Q patio.

Cody is such a manchild. Are we sure he's not actually Sonny's son instead of Mac's? What a whiner!

I really like Maxie as her cohort's agony aunt, as it were. She knows everyone, their histories, and has become surprisingly sensible about things. I also think KSt has a terrific warmth that really comes through.

Based on today, you can add Cody/Molly to that list.

Yes, I was thinking that, too -- and Jason/Sasha, to the extent that Jason ever actually shows agitation.

I can't help thinking it's kind of cute that Olivia and Lois have a mutual grandchild they'll be able to fuss over.

But since this has been in the wind for awhile, it would have made sense to show Gio interacting with Rocco a little bit prior to the brothers reveal? We HEAR about all these young adults roaming around the mansion, but we don't see a lot of it.

So Jason is going to Germany to wake up “in excruciating pain Michael” to ask him what to do about a 3-month along pregnancy?

It would be hilarious if they carted CD out every few weeks to wake Michael up into excruciating pain just to ask him innocuous things. Example, Carly stating Michael’s favorite ice cream is mint chocolate chip, and Jocelyn saying it’s cookie dough, so they hop on a flight to Germany to wake him up and ask.

Like Jason, chill the baby won’t be born for another 6 months.

Jason and Diane half-ready to file a custody suit on Michael's behalf, JFC.  Also, Diane, your client is in a coma, maybe take a breath with the 'working on the custody case.'  Like, is there a fucking plan when they take the kids from Willow?  Carly's getting her schnitzel on with Jack in Germany, Sonny is danger--what, are we back to nannies at the Qs?

God, I hate the way this show does custody battles.

I also rolled my eyes that BLQ told Lois she's thinking she could get access to the child she gave up for adoption because "it may be my only chance to be a mother to my own biological child." The kid wasn't frozen in time at birth waiting for you, BLQ.

Why do they write BLQ to be so dim? No matter who is the father, if you give birth to a baby, it is your "biological child", so using donated sperm is not going to prevent that. Also, this is a difficult time for Chase, while he's coming to terms with his infertility, so suddenly springing a previous child (and a grown one, at that!) on him is not going to help him feel better about that.

I thought the Jason scenes made sense and didn't reflect badly on him. He explained his POV clearly. It wasn't in character that Michael would just agree to walk away from his kid. In fact, on these boards, we were all shocked that Michael did that so easily because it was unlike him.  So, Jason questioning it makes sense. Especially when, as Sasha admitted herself, she is a known lying liar who lies.

Jason also told Sasha he just wanted to hear it from Michael. He didn't call her a liar. He didn't say there was no way what she was saying wasn't true. He allowed to Diane that he could be wrong as well. It was just that it was out of character for Michael.

I also don't think Jason is treating Michael like a 5 year old. Right now, Michael is literally in a vulnerable, helpless state. Yet, Jason is still waiting to take any action until he speaks to him... in other words, he's treating him like an adult. Just one who is incapacitated by injury right now.

Re: Cody saying that Jason was the father, I actually thought that was a clever bit of writing. (Shocking for this bunch.) By having it done this way--and not in an outburst from Cody making it seem more real rather than paranoia, it makes sense that Sasha and Jason will likely go along with it. Not doing so could open the door to questions about who exactly the father really is. So, good job there.

Of course, since I like Sasha and Jason, I'm all for it!

I actually applauded when Cody complained to Molly that his feet are always been held to the fire while there are career criminals in town who answer to no one.  Truth bomb!

And I thought it was good that he reached out to Maxie when he needed someone to talk to.

If he said it at a different time and under different circumstances, I would agree. Cody's getting in trouble because he's acting out in public, at someone's place of business because he's feeling a lot of self-pity and resenting what he perceives as others living the good life. He picked the fight with Drew, who at this point is not a career criminal.  He punched Lucky, an employee of the business, for stopping/trying to cool down the hostility he was directing toward Spinelli. Now he's mad, assuming Jason got to be with Sasha and they're having a baby but Jason isn't going to "answer to" anyone for it. Umm, Sasha wasn't Cody's girlfriend when she got pregnant and even if Jason was the father neither Sasha nor Jason owe Cody anything.

To me, Cody sounds like Drew, being mad that anyone is holding him accountable for things he actually did because others have done "the same/done worse." Yes, Jason has killed people and yes, Quartermaine family members have cheated and lied about stuff but that doesn't make Cody punching guys/causing disturbances in businesses or Drew getting involved with his nephew's wife and breaking up a family totes okay.

You don't think "Chase, I love you and I don't want you to feel bad that you can't get me pregnant because I had a baby when I was 16, so I'm already a mother.  Oh!  And the father is your best friend" will put his mind at ease?

Not only do Olivia and Lois have a mutual grandchild but so do Olvia and Ned.

Lois has kept the secret from her childhood friend/bestie Olivia that they share a grandchild

Lois has kept the secret from former love/exhusband Ned that they share a grandchild

Lois has kept the secret from childhood friend Sonny (after the secret of Dante' parentage came out) that they share a grandchild

Lois has kept the secret from her only daughter that their cousin adopted the baby and the baby grew up to be Gio.

IDGAF, I like Sasha and Jason.

Also, I don't think Sasha is being a hypocrite AT ALL about her and Willow. It's not different rules for me and thee. Their situations are completely different.

Willow CHOSE to enter into a marriage with Michael and be mother to his child full well knowing that the Qs and Sonny's world were part of the deal. Willow also CHOSE to have a child with Michael already knowing what it was like to have a child with the Qs as family, and being in Sonny's orbit with a child.

Now, Sasha is choosing to not bring her baby into the Q's world, or Sonny's orbit because she has seen firsthand the madness and danger that comes from such association.

Furthermore, Sasha knew Michael first, he has always been her first priority among the quad of those two, and Willow and Chase. Of course, she is going to do everything she can to protect Michael's interests.

This is Carly logic with choosing to pass Michael off as not AJs because of the Q's so big and bad and dangerous.

Sasha lives in their house, lives off them and apparently works for them albeit terribly.

Michaels children with Willow isn't her business. His interests is to have his kids with their mother. He wanted joint custody. Yet Willow wants Michael's kids to be raised by the Quartermaines and her kid to be kept away.

Sasha is becoming as terrible as Drew.

Lois can only keep a secret when it involves babies.  Lois decided Sonny must be told that Nina turned Carly and Drew in to the SEC.

What? A woman choosing what to do with her child, discussing it with the father, who agreed, because she believes it's in the best interest of the child is nothing like what Carly did!

Carly got knocked up by AJ. Tried to pass the baby off as Tony's. When that didn't work, she convinced Jason to say he was the father. Then when AJ found out, she got her new sugar daddy, mob boss Sonny, to violently threaten to give up all rights to the child.

Sasha is doing nothing like that. If she lets the Qs know about it being Michael's, Carly and Sonny know. Therefore, her child is exposed to the danger of the mob world. When she was with Brando, she desperately did not want him in Sonny's world. As for the Q's, the way Tracy treats her, why would she ever want her child exposed to such nasty disrespect?

Just because you think that Sasha should take on every service in the Q home, but she chooses not to, she's terrible at her job. I disagree. After all, Sasha is ONLY the Q's cook, therefore cooking is the only task she should do.

Sasha lives in their house and "off them" because that is part of the benefit package of being their cook. However, being their cook does not give Tracy the right to be rude and disrespectful to her.

With all that said, I do agree that the last couple of weeks, prior to this one, the writing for Sasha about and to Willow about this whole situation has been abhorrent. I really like Sasha, but she's been working my last nerve.

then she shouldn't have slept with Michael without protection. so Sasha CHOSE to sleep with someone who has familial connections she doesn't respect or trust, without protection and then choosing to deny that child to know their family. That's wrong and selfish.  I've berated Carly for that decision for 20++ years. I'm not going to give Sasha a pass for it now.

I'm assuming that Jason is going to hear that people think he's the baby's father, and he's just going to roll with it to keep an eye on Sasha and the baby for Michael.

Lois needs to be honest with her daughter. It's getting more egregious now. But, also, yeah, poor Chase is going to basically only be able to hear "I can't get my wife pregnant, but my best friend was able to."

I do think that it's gross that Jason and Diane insist that Michael must be asked about whether he allows Sasha to keep her baby away from his families when she's only 3 months pregnant and he's in a medically-induce coma because of his pain. Sonny and Carly baby-hoarding is bad enough, now Jason and Diane are helping them along.

In contrast, poor Dante has no idea that he has a child waiting in the wings for him because Brooke Lynn didn't even tell him that she was pregnant. But that's all going to be okay.

The double standard on this show....

Sasha is Carly, she's passing the baby off as some one-night stand stranger while living in the house of his family. All because she has decided who gets to be in the baby's life. She's going to have that baby in that house near his grandmother, on property of her baby's siblings?

Sasha knew who she was sleeping with, she chose to do it. She knew he was married, she chose to do it. Then she's going to claim she needs to be quiet so Willow can't get her kids? The same woman trying to keep all of Michael's family from his kid she's carrying. Sasha was just kidnapped not because of the Q's but because of her not dead mommy. Has Wiley and Amelia been kidnapped?

Yet the Q's are so terrible to know about the baby?  Sasha ran around getting in Willow's business and face over Michael and her children not getting to go with her and keeping them on Quartermaine property putting herself in Michael and Willow's custody issues is that the role of a cook?  She goes on about Willow keeping Sonny and Carly from him in hospital, but this same Sonny and Carly can't know about her baby? She's keeping the baby from them.  Why? They're so great, they deserve to be with their son, but not future grandchild?

Sasha is lying hypocrite and no more a lying baby mother than Carly or Alexis with Kristina making decisions on who get to be a parent or not without the real family members knowing.

I feel like this is all setup to get Jason to Germany so he can side eye Brennan and Carly or so he can save them from Valentin somehow and move further toward the WSB. Because yeah there is no need to wake someone from a medically induced coma in order to talk about a fetus in the first trimester.

Boy did they misjudge what we were going to care about for sweeps. The stuff around the SLS's accident a few weeks ago was far more interesting than the Sasha nonsense and the most telegraphed paternity reveal in history.

What are the stakes in this Gio mess? Olivia will get mad at Lois? Dante will be mad at Brooklynn? Chase will be sad? How does this make a real impact on the canvas? We have a new Q/Corinthi? Who already lives with and or has good relationships with his bio family?

Other than a couple "why didn't you tell meeeee??" scenes, how does this have longterm impact on the canvas? None of these people hate each other now and none are going to hate each other in 6 months. Lulu will either be grossly smug with BLQ some more or she will be the one to defend her (which she should!) But outside that I just don't see a point or any interesting possibilities to this story.

Which is why my speculation is that Gio's days are numbered and Sonny's about to get himself a tragically ironic new heart.

So, what I've learned from this, is that the only way to escape alive from a relationship with Michael Corinthios is to sleep with one of his uncles ( or be rumored to have slept with... But, give it time.)

Willow/ Drew

Sasha/ Jason

( The exception being the ONS he had with Nina's former nurse whose name I can't remember)

Or, he could suddenly play the piano (didn't Gio say he also played piano?) and get a permanent gig playing lounge music at Charlie's every night, and leave the mob business behind.  Because of course the near-death experience will give him a new perspective on life. I think I could get into that.

So if the Quartermaines are all soooooo horrible and Sasha doesn't want her spawn knowing about them or vice versa, why is she still working for the Quartermaines? Why doesn't she quit and find herself another job somewhere else? Even if she promised the SLS she wouldn't move away after all, she can still live in Port Charles.

What a letdown of the last few minutes with Cody not even attempting to start a fight with Jason.

So will Cujo be la dee daaaing it at Baden-Baden the Quartermaine set until Duell decides he wants to come back or Frank will change his mind (HAH!) and recast the role? And the revisionist history that Brennan was giving her and that she believed it. I shouldn't be surprised. She's utterly stupid. Everyone else is wrong, even though they proved they were right because she wants his Dick and he wants her Hoo-Ha. Fast Forward material now. Another interesting character ruined, which is par for the course whenever they are in Cujo's orbit.

Where is Jerry Jax when you need him?

Sasha is lying hypocrite and no more a lying baby mother than Carly or Alexis with Kristina making decisions on who get to be a parent or not without the real family members knowing.

Again, IF the Qs know...then SONNY knows. Sonny, the mob boss, whose son, Michael, just got blown up in his apartment. And almost all of Sonny's other kids have dealt with various forms of violence due to Sonny's mobbiness.

Michael, the baby's father--ie, the other parent, ie, the ONLY ones who get to make the decisions about the baby--agreed. Michael agreed with Sasha that the Corinthi and thus the Qs should not know he was the father. Period. Their families don't get a say; it's up to the mother and father. And THEY, THE BOTH OF THEM, SAID.

As for Willow. Sasha is NOT trying to keep the children from her. She is only trying to ensure that Michael doesn't lose the children. She thinks the kids should have both parents in their lives. Right now Sasha believes Michael will recover and soon, and she doesn't want to do anything to jeopardize his chances of getting joint custody.

As for comparing Sasha to Carly... Carly made a unilateral decision to take the child from his other parent and put the child into a dangerous situation (the mob). OTOH, Sasha discussed with the father--who agreed--that it was safest for the baby that no one in his family know who the father was because of the mob. The comments about the Qs right now are solely because Tracy is treating Sasha horribly.

Again, completely different situations where Carly was selfishly not thinking of her child, while Sasha is. The bottom line is that she wants to keep her child far, far away from the violence of the mob. In every discussion about why she's making this choice, it's her primary concern. References to the Qs are only because the writers are inexplicably writing her as an absolute harridan who treats Sasha like she is dog doo doo. Tracy can be imperious and a bit much, but she's not an awful person. Just as the writers did Sasha dirty over the sudden 'Willow is the evul' turn the last few weeks, they've done Tracy atrociously so.

@GHScorpiosRule As I was replying to @Artsda, the Qs are secondary--and just coming out own because of how Tracy is treating her. The primary, understandable, sane concern is keeping Sonny--the mob boss-- and Carly from knowing. Because she wants to keep her child far away from the violence of the mob life. And Michael, the child's father agreed.

The baby's parents are the ones who make the decision. And they did.

In spite of myself, I am a smidge curious to see how this plays out.  Like, it seems as if Lois placed her grandchild with a friend so SHE could keep an eye on him without BL or her BFF/other grandma Olivia, knowing, which, ugh--she deserves any and all shit to come her way.

I think where Lois deserves shit is that the adoptive mother died and the kid thinks he's an orphan that he is being taken in by distant family when Lois is actually his grandmother.

Sure this has been said already, but if Sasha wants to keep the babies away from the Qs, then she should NOT let Jason, who pretty much is one, play the role of the father.

Cody may give her no choice, though. Which is why I thought it was clever writing. And I think they've laid the seeds for this with Jason. Jason has already told Sonny that he's not taking over, he's backing off for Danny's sake. Those steps are already starting.

Of all the Qs, Jason is the least Q of them. And, sigh, again... the Qs, are not who Sasha is primarily trying to keep the child from, but rather Sonny. Yes, having Jason claim to be the father would seem at odds with that. However, Jason respected the wishes of both Elizabeth and Sam and both of his children have been kept out of harm's way.

As for why Cody may have given them no choice. If Sasha/Jason deny it, then ppl will begin really pushing, well, hmm.. Who IS the father then? Who is Jason protecting because of course he's been spending time with Sasha. And accusations will start flying it's Michael, and every effort that Sasha has made to keep Sonny and Carly from knowing is gone.

I disagree. She's lumping both families together, as people she doesn't want her child to know, or for them to know about said child. Mooby's "mob" I can get behind. Jaysus STILL works for Mooby. So I don't think this is clever writing at all, but predictable and boring. Even before she got pregnant, and while working there, she would snark about the Quartermaines-her employers. Again, quit, if you can't stand them; they aren't the only game in town where you can work and cook to your heart's delight. Nor are they the only wealthy family who could provide on site housing on the grounds, if you will. Frank is just too cheap to hire day players or utilize the all the other wealthy families that used to show up now and then before he took over.

This show has a really bad habit of taking mostly unobjectionable characters and turning them into unbearable ones.

But honestly, the show has a hard on for wanting to be as incestuous as possible. I know this isn't B&B, but Gio is now both a Quartermaine and a Corinthos, which might give Tracy a heart attack. Sasha's baby is a Quartermaine/Spencer/Corinthos and a Scorpio.

Maxie has not been slut shamed that I remember and is the most similar woman re: her kids to Michael right now. One child was conceived via ONS with a former lover, one child conceived with someone they had been dating but not a long time (Peter aka Heinrich/Bailey Lu and Nelle/Wiley for Michael) and one child conceived during a monogamous/committed relationship. I say that because Michael and Willow had ended their first marriage but had not re-married at the time.

Maxie also had children with brothers but did not know that Peter was Nathan's brother when she started sleeping with him and got pregnant. I think Michael didn't know Willow was Nelle's non-identical twin until after she was pregnant with Amelia?

No, it was after, when Willow was sick and already pregnant.  Because that's when it came out that Nina was her mother.

The one bright light of a Friday episode: Genie Francis. I almost always enjoy seeing Laura in mom mode.

Cody really is a can't mind his own business f-up. I hope Sasha finds out/hears that Cody went to Anna, told her that Sasha is "in trouble" and needs Robert and that Jason is the baby's father. UGHH. Way to continue to ruin the son that Mac never needed, Show.

UGHH also that Kristina wants Sonny to have custody of Avery because she blames Ava for her baby's death.  Does she not remember that Ava has lost a child because her elder daughter was murdered?

I assume Lulu walking in on the Dante-BLQ hug is a set-up for her to comfort Dante and shred his "good friend" BLQ over keeping the 'I birthed our baby and gave the baby up for adoption' secret - and Cody for lying to him/protecting BLQ's secret when it explodes in the not-distant future? I'm not looking forward to Rocco's mom and Gio's mom fighting about their pasts and Dante.

Oh, this show.

So now that Cody is running his mouth about Sasha's pregnancy and who he thinks is the father, I'm assuming that Jason will feel like he has no choice but to claim the baby. Because the writers are dumb like that.

Also, Cody is one of the most unpleasant characters there is.

Dante, Anna and Mac are right to remove you from the investigation into Sam's murder.

Lulu's woe is me is tiresome. I imagine she'll become worse when they find out that Cyrus killed Sam probably to free Dante up.

Curtis should've stepped into the ring with Drew, just so that I can see them beat each other into a coma.

I wish Sonny and Kristina would drop off the face of the fictional planet. Seriously. Also, Sonny, just die from your heart condition.

Thanks for the most tedious, unpleasant characters this Friday, show. Really.

If I were a new viewer, I'd think twice about tuning in on Monday.

UGHH also that Kristina wants Sonny to have custody of Avery because she blames Ava for her baby's death.  Does she not remember that Ava has lost a child because her elder daughter was murdered?

Very in character. Kristina doesn't care about Avery; Kristina wants to make Ava pay for the accident, and keeping Avery from her turns the knife that much more.

And then we have manchild Drew, who's stomping his feet because people are being mean to him for sleeping with his nephew's wife, so now he's delaying a project that is supposedly near and dear to his heart because it honors his "mentor," dead congressman McConkey. I hope Jordan leaks all of this nonsense to the press and it sends Drew into a tailspin and he leaves town forever.

Trina, remember when the love of your life died and you never wanted to go back to school again? Show some understanding for Kai going through something similar.

I crack up every time he clutches something to stay upright. I'm sure Avery would love to walk into a room and find him unconscious on the floor. The overinflated egos of the men on this show is hilarious.

Manchild is the perfect word to describe him, and who can the audience pay to make this happen?

When he "challenged" Curtis to fight it out with him in the boxing ring, I thought okay seriously the 14/15-year-old boys who are mourning your ex-wife have demonstrated more maturity and consideration for others than you have as a so-called adult.

Time for my biggest GH SORAS pet peeve: Molly should be younger than Cam. Cam was a baby when Alexis and Ric got together.

( And Molly was born in the train wreck of Liz/ Lucky's wedding. ( The actual train wreck, not the train wreck that was Liz and GV-Lucky's marriage)

It is especially annoying because Ric and Liz were involved right before he was moved on to Alexis. He was trying to steal Zander's rights to Cam.

Well, I do slut shame Sonny and call him the biggest ho in Port Charles.  But you make a good point, because on other boards I don't see people slut shaming Sonny, it's just me.

No one outside of the saner boards comments what in absolute disgrace it is that Sonny has so many ONS babies, considering Stone died of a sexually transmitted disease.

I hated that they made Cody Dominque's son. I have no real issue with Mac being the father, but I feel the addition of Cody damages the Scott/Dominque/Lucy surrogacy storyline.

So all this Q talk about them being powerful of late & Tracy being overly invested in Michael's kids living arrangement & being a bitch to servants was a set up for this this Sasha shit. I never understood why the show didn't have the reason that Monica wanted to keep Ameila and Wiley at the Q mansion is for the basic reason is that it is the only home they known. With SLS and the Cult Mom's marriage breaking up and Scout being dragged out of the home and away from her older brother, they need some continuty in their lives. But it is all Monica wants to know they are in the house so she feels better.  Every time the "Qs" and their horribleness keep being brought, I ask, "what the f* are is the show talking about?" Ned , who next to Jason, has been the most contemptuous of his family (though not in a traitorous way like Jason), BLQ, Olivia, Lois? Drew, who only decided to embrace being a Q after being tricked into thinking he was Jason, and would only have a few memories of old guard Qs, a very few positive? The Q that would lead that charge, Edward, has been dead for a decade and Alan for longer. Monica is bed ridden (and LC has sadly passed away). AJ might have pulled these shenanigans, but FV killed him too. I think that Tracy is being written out of character, bc she was never this interested custody of Q kids, not even her own.

FV and Guza have so throughly gutted and in the case of Guza, neutered, the family, I feel insulted that the Qs are being scapegoated. No show, you mean the Cornithos and I don't want Qs lumped into together with them. Not only do Cornitios fight dirty (hanging people on meat hooks, framing people for sexual assault) they don't bother protecting them.

Culture Check: How can we discuss a character's or actor's appearance without objectifying them? How can we express likes or dislikes and still respect an individual's humanity or be mindful that a character represents a person someone else might relate to or identify with?
