If a minor lives on her own in Beverly Hills and spends $7000/month on her appearance, she isn't the problem, her parents are.  Phil was talking down to her, as he usually does because he's so smart. when he should have been ripping them a new one.  They allowed her to drop out of school because she wanted to spend three hours on her appearance?  She seemed like a nice girl otherwise.  The mother was clueless.  Oh, and the ending with the commercial for international beauty expert Robin was SO helpful.  Robin's lucky to be married to someone who can give her a platform to sell her crap.

Today's entire show has been a plug for this narcissistic teenager.  I don't think Mom will ever put her foot down.  Maybe when she reaches the age of majority, she can be asked to leave.  Then she could sell all her junk and maybe get a place of her own.  One can only hope.

And she said she 'concentrates on school'.  Huh?  She can't go to school because who can get up THREE HOURS early to fix her face?  Certainly not HER!  Not impressed and not sympathetic.

The Michelle-Duggar-Wannabe mom made me stabby. She keeps having kids because, "Babies are cute." Hello! You have multiple children with big issues. Hubby has big issues. How about dealing with that first? And self-admitted barely literate grown children don't bode well for her home schooling program. You don't homeschool because it's easier. A good homeschool is a lot of work. 

You could tell by her eyes that she was not getting it (and thinking about her next argument instead of listening to what was being said). 

I'm seriously concerned about the new baby, especially being special needs.

His plan was to counsel her and help her understand why she needed the cats, and to help (?) find people who would be willing to take one at a time as pets in a one cat household.  She realizes what she is doing is not normal and wanted help to be able to let some of them go.

We’ve seen her morphing into some alien being for a couple of years now but yesterday was truly scary. I have said before that they need to take down the promo featuring her and Phil where she’s wearing the animal print top. She was attractive and normal looking and could speak correctly. The contrast with her today is startling. I do wonder what her children and grandchildren think when they see her? And why doesn’t Shill talk some sense into this woman?!

All of this makes it even more irresponsible of the parents to so casually have all of these kids when they cannot take care of them properly or give them the kind of attention they need...all because this nut job mother had it in her head that she should have 13 children? They can't financially afford them and the father is off gambling and blowing their money on strippers? I would imagine that some of these adult children cannot afford to live on their own. Maybe they don't even have jobs...can't imagine what kind of life skills they have being brought up in an environment like this.

Could be...I know that when someone decides to go for the sex reassignment surgery they have to have months of psychological assessments and therapy before they are given the go ahead for the procedure. Speaking again of Robin’s looks, how many times has Shill said that he was hired many times to evaluate candidates for plastic surgery to determine if they were doing it for the right reasons or had expectations that would never be met? Who evaluated that alien he’s married to? What a shame that she’s succumbed to the pressure to get crazy surgery rather than age gracefully and naturally. And then she gets up on his show and lies her head off about the effectiveness of her “potions” as she reads it all off of cue cards because she doesn’t know it by heart. We all know that her crap is no better than anyone else’s. The 17 year old (!!!looks 30) Kardashian wannabe spends Daddy’s money on all those services...maybe she should look into getting her eyelids lifted (or unlifted if she already altered them).  They look wonky .  Maybe it’s the glam squad’s fault with how they do her eye makeup?  Or a side effect from wearing 1lb vacuum cleaner roller brushes as false lashes?  And maybe the glam squad can talk her out of wearing ALL the black hair extensions in the 90210 area at one time?  Girl will have neck pain from carrying all that extra weight on her head.  And it looks very fake and not flattering.

They had a great catfish rerun today on OWN.      Woman was widowed, started online dating, man contacts her.   He's trapped in England working, getting held captive by the British government, etc.   She's sent over $250,000, has nothing left, and despite Dr. Phil and company proving the man's calling and emailing from Nigeria, and showing everything he says is fake, and her saying she knows she's been taken, I'm sure she was sending more money three seconds after the show ended.       I love how she was saying she has nothing left, and her daughter sitting there realizing that her idiot mother will be showing up on her doorstep soon, with suitcase in hand.   Personally, if someone I knew spent every penny on some scammer,  still kept trying to send money and showed up whining about being broke, I'd slam the door in her face.

I don’t watch the teen shows anymore. Most of them just want to get on tv. There is no one solution for these families because there are so many variables. Some have mental illness, some are on drugs, some are from dysfunctional homes, some have had trauma. Phil asks a few questions about the situation but his only answer is the treatment centers. Of course he always seems to have time to bring out he Pfizer shill or talk about Robin’s face creams.

I watched most of yesterdays 'teen girl' show and I was disgusted.  The absentee father who has a new family totally got a free pass and understanding with a side of "I can tell you mean it" when you say you will start being there while the mother who is trying to parent this girl received nothing but disdain from Dr. Phil and the psychiatrist (psychologist?).  I mean I realize they are all airing their dirty laundry for some air time but I was flabbergasted at how they jumped on the mom and the father and the awful teen gets sympathy.  Ugh.

Of all of the times to watch a first run Dr. Phil, why did I pick today's episode?    An 11 year old murdered his toddler sibling, mom doesn't figure out that it was murder, or won't acknowledge it, and he then kills the 6 month old step sibling, and she's still defending him.      Then he murders two kittens, and she's still saying it's DCS's fault because she couldn't put him in the private hospital treatment she wanted to keep him in.       Then she's whining because he's in juvenile detention, and can't kill anything else, and she's whining about that.     I would worry about the other inmates, not this soulless killer.  

Then a shrink that deals with this stuff for L.A. DCS says the kid should be treated as a juvenile, and not a criminal.     Are these people stupid?     If that stupid so-called mother could, she'd have him home, and get the other kid that DCS took away from her, and that one would be dead too.     And Dr. Phil saying the mother having a masters in Psychology makes her a professional is ludicrous.    I have an MBA, but that didn't make me a CEO did it?         I bet the mother's a psychopath or sociopath, just like her son is.      I shudder to think of this kid ever being out in society.

I check the Dr Phil website on Saturdays to see what the lineup is for the next week, and it's pretty much all out-of-control teens and I let them go.  Like others mentioned above, I'm really done with those.  I watch, as many of us do, for the next catfish show and it's been a while.  What just struck me is, a sullen teen daughter is a whole lot easier and cheaper to put on than a catfish show !  For the latter you have to get your agent in Nigeria, research their servers,  send somebody to their alleged address in Michigan or whatever, &c -- lots of trouble.  For the teens you just need some videos of them pitching fits, and then send them off to a Center, end of story.    I do look forward to the next catfish show, though.

My guess is the mother is a psycho as her kid is.      It's terrifying to me that the mother wants that kid back, and her kid in CPS back, and I'm sure it would be no time at all before the other child dies if the brother is allowed around the kid.      I think the mother wants the child in a private psychiatric facility, because she thinks she'll get him back part time at least, and then get him released.       I'm betting that there is a lot more psychiatric history with the boy than his mother is willing to admit. 

I would love to know about the mother's history too.    I bet it's interesting, and not in a good way.

I have a hard time watching these kind of shows. The mother seemed to have a very flat affect. I don’t know how I would feel or act if one of my kids killed my other kids, but protecting your remaining child should be your first priority. I can understand wanting her son in psychiatric care rather than prison. 

I don’t understand why Phil has shows like this or what he wants to accomplish. I will say I’m frustrated with Phil asking a question and then  getting angry if he doesn’t get the answer he wants. I didn’t like or excuse the mother but when he asked her if it was true her son always had bad grades, she said when he has an IEP and was in special education he had good grades, and bad grades when he was taken out of it. Phil responded in an angry way because he wanted a different answer. I can’t believe more people don’t go off on him and since reading how poorly he treats his staff, he is just an angry man.

Interesting...the preview for tomorrow's show is still about the secret Facebook group and Monday's episode is "My Fiance Never Showed Up to Our Wedding, but I Still Love Him", but that's not what Zap2It and Dr. Phil's website says.  I guess we'll know for sure tomorrow.

My guess is, it's all about the ratings.   The more shocking, and controversial the subject the higher the ratings, and that's all anyone cares about.    This show has never been about helping anyone.

This mother on today's show came off as too immature to be a parent. I wouldn't be surprised one bit if she had men coming and going when her daughter was younger and that at least one of them led to her daughter having trauma/PTSD.

Of course, the segment ended early so that they could have an update on a former guest who started using Robin's skincare junk after her first appearance in 2014.

I just saw the last 10 minutes of today’s show about the mom who lost her son and started using Robin’s skincare line 4 years ago. Yikes. I don’t think that she was a huge selling point for Robin’s gunk. And of course, R was sickening with this poor woman. Geez. Shill is putting on the hard sell before Christmas. Guess I’ll have to stop watching until the new year and even that is questionable now.
