TVFan17 September 8, 2020 Share September 8, 2020 (edited) I love this little green bundle of joy so much! (Why did I give up my Entertainment Weekly subscription last year?) Article link -- The Mandalorian exclusive: First look inside season 2 Excerpt... Quote Expect the Outer Rim to get a lot more crowded in season 2. While Disney has not confirmed any new cast members or their characters, there's a rogue's gallery of actors who seem optimized for a Comic-Con panel reportedly coming on board: Rosario Dawson (Sin City) as Clone Wars fan favorite Jedi apostate Ahsoka Tano, Temuera Morrison (who played Jango Fett in the prequels) playing presumably some version of a clone trooper or iconic bounty hunter Boba Fett, Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica) as a live-action version of Bo-Katan Kryze, and also Michael Biehn (The Terminator) and Timothy Olyphant (Justified) as unknown characters. “Some of them are true, some are not true,” says Gina Carano, who plays mercenary Cara Dune on the show. Carano notes the heightened secrecy included actors getting scripts only for their own episodes and being ushered to sets in black cloaks and hoods like incognito Sith Lords. “The new season is about introducing a larger story in the world,” says Favreau. “The stories become less isolated, yet each episode has its own flavor, and hopefully we’re bringing a lot more scope to the show.” Adds Filoni, “Everything gets bigger, the stakes get higher, but also the personal story between the Child and the Mandalorian develops in a way I think people will enjoy.” Also... Quote As Mando and the Child continue their quest, expect the bounty hunter to face a series of obstacles that will increasingly challenge his paternal loyalty to his ward. “We start very directly after the first [season] and he's going into very dangerous territory," Pascal, 45, says. "He is very much a passenger to the experience in unexpected ways — not knowing what’s to come, not knowing how much or how best to protect the Child. We don’t know how far he will go to do that, and they’re finding new ways to push the envelope.” In addition to wearing a helmet nearly all the time on screen, Pascal points out that Mando’s motivations are largely obscured as well. “On a moment-to-moment basis, he’s discovering that question: ‘What do you want?’” the Game of Thrones veteran says. “That isn’t clear to him, or to me." Adds Filoni, “We think we know how the characters are going to react, and it can be surprising how they do react.” Mando and the Child are pursued by Gideon, who will serve as a source of temptation, in the classic tradition of Star Wars villains trying to lure heroes down darker paths. “I’ll be going toe-to-toe with Mando,” says Esposito, who was nominated for an Emmy for his first-season performance. “It’s an iconic battle. I want to disarm him mentally as well. Who knows? Maybe there’s an opportunity to get him to fight some battles for me. You may think I’m a villain, but I’m trying to harness some energy and some powers for a path that could be best for all. You'll get to see him be somewhat diplomatic and more of a manipulator." TVFan17 September 15, 2020 Share September 15, 2020 (edited) I checked Disney+ and I don't see any of these pictures anywhere in my account just yet, but someone tipped off Jason from Making Star Wars about some extra Season 2 photos that flew under the radar and popped up on Disney+. So if you still have your Disney+ account now, check and see if you can find them lurking somewhere. However, if you are not planning on getting Disney+ again until next month, thankfully someone took screen shots of the 6 or 7 new photos and they are included in this article -- "Disney+ has new images from Star Wars: The Mandalorian’s next season!" It looks like The Child has a new floating pram. Edited to add: I guess these pics showed up on the Xbox version of Disney+ (which explains why I can't see them). To me, this seems like a very short trailer (compared to a trailer for The Boys I was just watching the other day), so I assume we will see another one coming up before 10/30. But I'm glad this one came out now, because, quite frankly, some of the Star Wars fans out there are annoying as hell, and they were behaving as though their lives were going to be destroyed if they didn't get a trailer right now. Now they will probably complain because Ahsoka wasn't in the trailer, as they seem to think Ahsoka is the focus of the show now. At least it looks like the same one from season 1. I wonder how he got out of the carbonite? I also wonder if Mando's line "I need your help. I've been quested to bring this one back to its kind" is actually pulled from a different scene. It wouldn't make sense for him to say it to Cara and Greef since they already know his quest. It wouldn't make sense for Yes, I was wondering too because Cara and Greef already know about the quest. It has to be trailer trickery and he is speaking to somebody else there. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/97090-the-nevarro-news-the-mandalorian-in-the-media/page/8/#findComment-6410526

I think the line has to have been said to someone else in a different scene. That definitely makes no sense to tell Greef and Cara something they witnessed firsthand. I've always had the impression that bounty hunters in Star Wars are used by more nefarious groups or individuals to track down people, not necessarily to find criminals that were convicted in a court of law. If they were used by an actual sanctioned law enforcement group, like one that The New Republic might have, I would think they would only pay money for top criminals, not ones that could be released so soon. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/97090-the-nevarro-news-the-mandalorian-in-the-media/page/8/#findComment-6413579

magdalene October 25, 2020 Share October 25, 2020 Don't expect any advance reviews and last minute leaks of season 2 episodes. Disney and Lucasfilm are not sending advance screeners to the press. Laughs. That's going to lead to some very hasty after midnight reviews. And maybe less early pirating. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/97090-the-nevarro-news-the-mandalorian-in-the-media/page/8/#findComment-6417594
