I saw Crystal in the opening credits and wondered if she was simply visiting Devon. Then when she showed up at the end, I was totally surprised! Show got me there!

I couldn't watch, Gov. Inslee was on the tube speaking about measures the state is taking to contain the virus.

They broke up! Mariah got on the plane before it could leave GC to try to apologize. She told Tessa about losing her job and Sharon’s cancer. Told Tessa how sorry she is for hurting her. Tessa said it was over the second she cheated and told Mariah to leave.
It’s a great scene, great acting from CG and CF. Pretty heartbreaking.
Today’s show was actually well done. Lots of Faith, Sharon , Lola and Rey. NO Phyllis.

AH couldn't even act like she was eating that lemon cake that Sharon brought over. God's sake, woman. Eat the damn cake! Eat 20 of them!

Thank goodness I wasn't filming that scene. I love lemon. That cake would have been gone in seconds, heh.

Faith should have told Rey you're not my father or mother. He doesn't even live there.

they need to send her sluky butt back to prep-land or get her a job.  altho maybe she'll get introduced to Jared and get a wake-up call of how good she has it. Maybe Jared is lying about his age and is younger.

Since inner cities need stores why doesn't Devon buy the building or something. Gosh knows the show NEEDS some young people for a summer story. It's in the freakin title. Maybe Phyl's red-headed grandaughter and let Faith be the mean-girl and her be the good girl...switch up.

I think it was going to be repeats anyway, because of March Madness...the basketball tournament, that is - not the current madness!

Is it going to be a recent one at least? I'm really far behind due to being at Covid ground zero we have city, county and state updates every day when Y&R is usually on.

Was the last CDN episode the one where Mariah goes on stage and apologizes to Tessa?

It appears there was another episode after that but Global has aired repeats the past couple of days...

My YR Peeps:

At some point soon, aren’t we going to run hit of shitty new episodes due to lack of shooting during the Covid-19 switch? Does anyone know how far in advance YR shoots? When we do run into that’s Wall, what shall we do? I was thinking that perhaps one of us might be motivated enough to post links to old classic YR epis online, and we can watch them for that day's epi and comment? Just a suggestion in advance...I mean, we’re all home and it’s gonna get boring, the last thing I wanna do is watch recent craptastic re runs, do you?

Be grateful for small things post:

We had a new episode! With some good scenes in it. With vets.

Best: Traci and Ashley [sorry I still loathe the hair colour] having Abbott moments on Abbott couch. Next, Jill in Chancellor living room...now she was talking to Billy [can't win 'em all] and Lily, but grateful is the operative word of the day. Jill doing something different--renting office space at Dark Horse--no roaring hell, but it beats watching newbies. Under that heading, a moment of Jack.

Almost okay, but gratitude, remember: Theo getting another ass-kicking--can there be enough of those? Ever? Lily and Devon renewing their relationship--sorta neutral, but okay.

Close to utter shite but the message of today's script is "togetherness" or teamwork, or something: Victoria and Sharon [spare me any of this], then Victoria realizing it takes a village to put up with her crap.

That's what I've got.

Just a heads up Canadian friends - looks like there will be two episodes on Wednesday (first starting 1 hour ahead of the normal time). I think this is to make up for the two repeat episodes last week which aired assuming there would be March Madness basketball. We will then be back to one day ahead from the US.

Warning: wine consumption mid afternoon is generally not recommended, but necessary to get through the episodes . . . and given everything that is going on who cares?

Stay safe and healthy everyone.

My PVR is indicating two episodes on Thursday. I'm getting so confused. I noticed the Global app has an episode up a day before they air but I'm not sure why. I'm guessing this double episode thing is to try and get them back on track.

So Mariah and Tessa are back together. I'm not crazy with how Mariah kept hounding Tessa but Tessa has done so many more crappy things to Mariah and it annoyed me she wouldn't give Mariah a second chance.

I liked Faith's blue sweater.

I am beyond bored by Summer and Kyle.

We had 2 episodes on Thursday in Alberta & my PVR recorded them, otherwise I wouldn't have known. It was probably to make up for the 2 repeats we got last week and the fact that the US had caught up to us on the 20th and we needed to get back to a day ahead (since we already get all the US channels, there would be no incentive for Canadian TV channels to buy the show, so some network exec came up with the day ahead incentive. We used to get Criminal Minds a day ahead too, when Shemar was on it).  Initially CBS said they would intersperse old and new shows to spread out the new ones, so Global did it, but CBS did not.  Maybe they will when they get closer to running out of episodes.  Personally I'd like to see really old episodes from the 1970s & 80s.

FINALLY! The explanation I've been looking for all of this time as to why Canadians get Y&R a day early. As far as I know, it's the only US soap that is aired in Canada like this. Thank you for this piece of trivia that has been unanswered in the back of my mind for the past 20+ years.

Sharon and Mariah were good today.  Even Rey Rey and Lola was tolerable.  And Victoria telling Billy that she's just done with him, for always and forever was pretty good (although Vic being cuddled by her father the other day creeped me right out, so I don't have a lot of respect for her otherwise).

And then we had Phyllis and Nick.  I just cannot with these two.  The Staph has just made Phyllis an unwatchable character, but combining her with Nick is just nauseating.

I thought Sharon Case did a really good job today with Sharon's anguish and despair.

So suddenly Victoria wakes up and is back to normal? Ready to go back to work? Man, I wish my depression would have just gone away like magic.

Naturally Adam will ruin everything by demanding to take over Newman. God, he's tedious. The gig was supposed to be temporary anyway. Get over yourself, Adam, and get an actual job on your own rather than relying on nepotism, blackmail, or underhanded schemes.

Phyllis and Nick are nauseating. Then again, so are Summer and Kyle.

Why did they bother to bring back Adam only to completely destroy the character.  Hell, I am siding with Pricktor on this one, and that never happens!

Wellllll...I'm kinda getting fonder and fonder of EB--and I was never unfond, actually. But to be specific, the table-for-two interchange yesterday wherein Adam tried to blackmail Victor [how stupid can he be?] was a major display of how unskilled Mr Grossman is as an actor. EB just sat there, undercut him, and played the timing and responses. Best part of the whole show for me. [UO]

There was not one other storyline I give a shit about, and I'm in the minority again because I actually don't mind AH/Victoria.

I haven't minded her in a while - and I thought she was very good in giving ButtBiscuit the Big Goodbye.  I'll sure take her in a heartbeat over at least half of the current cast.

I haven't mind her either.  I'll even take Theo and the curly-haired "twin" of Adam over Phyllis.

If there was a new episode today my PVR decided not to record it. It is however deciding to record tomorrow's 12:30 PM (the one it decided it didn't want to bother with today) and the CDN one at 4:30 PM. Not sure what is up with that.

Yup, Friday there was a new episode on Global. I watched the Victor/Nikki marriage at 12:30 PM on CBS. I found it super distracting seeing the actors with their real teeth, lol. Some of them had super long horse teeth, heh.

Mmmmm, yes. It was new. And we all know, that means it wasn't very good.

Though, as the owner of yet another major UO, I'd rather watch current crap as diversion than even "classic episodes." In the extreme minority, I know, I know. Current horrible situation or not, and mainly where soaps are concerned, I've never been able to watch repeats, no matter how good. Just don't enjoy them and I get bored.

That having been aired, we got a major dose of the Sharon Hub as materfamilias, a dose of Phyllis' hidden depths [avoid ruminating on that] as she shared with Summer how much she cared about GC's own saint, Sharon, some crap between Chelsea and Chloe, and the diverting display of Victoria letting loose at Adam. AH was pretty good there.

And then the 6:00 news, which is not a diversion.

This whole think of fake Phyllis acting like she cares and is there for Sharon is ridiculous. She is the last person who should be in this story.

Summer, yes bc she's Faith's sister.

I love watching Sharon and her girls. The acting is so natural and raw IMO. Watching  CG and AL come giggling in the door and then the changes upon  seeing SC’s tear stained face were well done. Kudos to the actresses who all seem to enjoy working together.
I could really do without Phyllis as well. She and Banana Breath are revolting.
I wonder if Victor is playing a game with Adam. He caved far too easily to Adam’s demands. Just a feeling.

I still say they are going to have Hope either by letter or even video (the actress has always been able to turn up - she even lobbied to play Hope's sister -  to confess that SHE pushed AJ? when he tried to rape her. Younger Adam would make it OK to use the actress.

Chelz is bizarre.  Now she doesn't give a shit about what Nick will think of Adam's scheme, saying:  I can handle Nick.  Yeah, I guess you can, since you totally conned your way back into his futon until you decided you'd rather be with Whiney Adam and his Whiney son.

How many days do we have to see Phyllis wearing that pink garbage bag?

Shut up, Chelsea and Adam. Victor doesn't owe you anything. Victoria is first born so she should get dibs on running Newman. You, Adam, can actually try getting a real job or start your own company since you're so much like daddy dearest. You can start by selling soap out of your car.

I hate spoiled, entitled assholes. And their enablers.

Oh, shut up, Kyle. I want to wipe that stupid smirk off his face. With my foot.

I really hope Theo wins this challenge Jack gave him. I would love to see Kyle's face then. Although, honestly, I wish Jack had just taken away Kyle's CEO position because it's clear he's way too immature to run the company.

I'm really confused by what Jack is doing with Kyle and Theo.  He's been on them to get along and now he directly pits them against each other?  It doesn't really make sense to me.  Is he planning to fire the loser so they won't be fighting at work anymore?

Once in a while, we get one of those relatively better episodes. So I'll be grateful for your today's US:

We had Jack pitting the two young idiots against each other and cutting off their "but, but, but..." crap before it could get rolling. We had Jack and Jill being old-school fun and behaving like adults. And, kinda gooey, but we had Lily offering Traci a position with Chancellor Media. I'll more or less take anything that keeps BM [Beth Maitland] onscreen.

There were likely some other storylines, but I didn't care.
