Don't know about profit, but Amazon didn't ship much of anything from any of them, according to Novel Rank.  Maybe everyone who orders from Amazon has Kindle.

Kail, Pride Over Pity:  5,735 Paperbacks & Hardcovers

Catelynn, Conquering Chaos:  2,415 Paperbacks & Hardcovers

Kail, Hustle and Heart:  1,731 Hardcovers

Maci, Bulletproof: 1,397 Paperbacks*

Farrah, My Teenage Dream Ended:  1,169 Paperbacks & Hardcovers

Amber, Never Too Late:  1,157 Paperbacks & Hardcovers

Janelle, Read Between the Lines:  From the Diary of a Teenage Mom:  301 Hardcovers

Maci, I Wasn't Born Bulletproof: Lessons I've Learned (So You Don't Have To):  265 Hardcovers

These figures may be off, but they're straight outta Novel Rank's Total Sales Estimates.

*Amazon doesn't list a hardcover version of Bulletproof for some reason, so there are no numbers for it.

The title reminds me of Bethenny Frankel's book I Suck at Relationships So You Don't Have To: 10 Rules for Not Screwing Up Your Happily Ever After.

I know this is unfair,  but I am willing to overlook Kristina's grammatical errors, and chalk it up to autocorrect.

But not for Amber. She's just stupid.

I am actually not pointing out her grammatical errors. I was being facetious. I know it could have been auto-correct.  Her grammar was pointed out and I defended her by pointing out she has so many other things going for her, it is not a sign of ignorance, and that she is not teaching Leah anything bad, unlike Amber.

Don't put others down?  That's all she does every time she goes to Gary's house.  She had a few choice words for Farrah on the last reunion, too.  Then there was the 45 minute video rant where she was sending hate and calling faceless strangers "ugly" and worse.  Hypocrite.

And once again in bed taking pictures. And yes, let's not use a filtet but still have make up on. What about calling her fan a dumb bitch and all the other shit she spouts.  She sure wasn't sending love at the reunion.  She can go ahead and say she is sending love when all she does is spew hate and hatred. She hasn't changed at all, she is still a time bomb that blows up at whoever isn't kissing her ass.

As if he knows anything about being a father. There are like 11 kids out there who think about their dirtbag 'father' every Father's Day and curse the piece of shit.  Deadbeats like Matt are the reason why Hallmark has special Father's Day cards for Mothers.

Amber, I'm gonna casually post a no filter picture... like I'm going to bed... with a face full of make up... riiiiight.

I want to make a joke about her being too lazy to take her make up off and she probably went to bed after this... but say what you want about Amber, but I have to give a tiny sliver of credit, her skin does look clean.

I just took a selfie.  I sent it to my faux daughter.  She for real needs to come cut my bangs before I do.  And my kid's hairs.  Don't we look like fun? #no filters!

(for some reason my pic hasn't loaded up to my cloud yet.  Probably for the best.  Just imagine an old lady with blue/gold reading glasses on. That would be me. and this my youngest child.  He's 16.  His brothers are 23 and 30.  I'm tired. Haha)

I might be able to give a head's up on this...

I rarely sell ANY paperbacks on Amazon. I sell around 500 ebooks for every paperback I sell on the site. Sometimes lesss. My last pre-order had 1,600 copies pre-sold and then, within its first month, sold around 3,000 more copies. I have yet to sell an actual paperback copy of it. Now, when I set up at book signings and festivals and stuff, I can sell the shit out of paperbacks. Online though? Nada. I don't really mind this. The royalties on ebooks are 70% minus the delivery charge. The actual amount depends on size of book. If it has a lot of pictures or a lot of pages, the delivery charge is greater. On paperback books, the scale is much lower. I have a paperback that sells for $17. I get $2 for every book sold to an individual. If it sells through "expanded distribution", which means a library or book store, I only receive $0.05. (Yes, you read that right.) When the ebook sells, however, I get $2.18. I generally order a lot of author copies and stock them at local stores on consignment so that they won't order through the publisher. I make more money that way.

Anyhoo. That's a long way of saying that, yes, more people are probably buying the Kindle version than the paperback. I know some authors that no longer even create paperbacks anymore for this reason. I still like mine, though. I have a Kindle but I still prefer the feel and smell of a "real" book. Some of the best books I've read have been those left behind by travelers in youth hotels, on trains, in airports, etc. They almost have stories on their own.

Amber is fucking full of shit. Her "no-filter" pic absolutely has filters. Sorrynotsorry. FTR, I don't care if people use filters. I'm not a huge selfie taker, but even for just pics of my kids or food I might use a filter, because the lighting sucks in my house. But there's using a filter and then there's USING A FILTER. Amber looks like a waxy porn doll that Matt sleeps with every night. She doesn't even look real.

And we're not supposed to criticize each other, but she can criticize Gary's home, hat, etc. etc.? Okay then.

Matt can stuff his Father's Day wishes in a sack.

Quoting myself.  I posted this yesterday before I had a whole text conversation with my ex.  I might not save thousands of lives every night like this little girl does, but I listened to one.  He was on the edge last evening.  I had to call him. He's the father of my two kids and I hate when this happens.  I don't like to see him hurt.  It's not as easy as this little filthy mouthed girl tries to make it out to be.  She has no idea.  If she did, her words would be a whole lot different.

Can someone total up how much "profit" he makes from the sales?

and compare to other TM books?

I read a publishing contract for another reality TV star as part of my job (no affiliation with Teen Mom or MTV). It varies based on hardcover, soft cover, electronic vs. hard copy, etc.. but was somewhere between 6% and 15% of retail...after the first 5,000 copies from each different category were sold (I mean, you didn't have to wait to fill them all to start receiving royalties, but 2,500 hard covers and 2,500 paperbacks couldn't be added together). Plus, if you were paid any advance, that had to be paid back first.

So, if his contract was anything like that...he hasn't received a dime. And if he got an advance, he may have to pay it back. @mamadrama might know more that.

Amber doesn't know shit all about life.  Maybe Matt, I mean Jeff, should come take a gander at my life.  He might find out what real addictions look like and how they infect a whole family.  It's sad.  Amber used to be my favorite.  Not so much now.

Yes! This makes me so mad how she acts like she saves the world like a super hero overnight. First of all she should be a little more careful about proclaiming that, because it's kinda a grey area as far as practicing like a therapist without a license. I know you don't need a license to talk to people, but she is practically advertising for people to message her, and she has no proper training. I don't know what the formal rules are and I'm sure it varies by state, but it *could* be a pretty big liability if something went wrong.

I also agree that she probably isn't helping as many as she claims simply because it is emotionally draining to handle people who are mentally unstable in the sense that they want to hurt/kill themselves. I don't mean that negatively either, it falls under the umbrella of compassion fatigue. No matter how good intentioned the person is, it's just hard to take on others issues. I'm not proud, but I've been the one who needs to talk, and I'm also very aware how taxing it can be to talk to someone who feels hopeless, I hate putting that on my friends (which for me is why I have a therapist) but my point is, I highly doubt Amber is just up all night putting out all these fires. Someone else mentioned, for all these people she claims to "save" nobody has ever mentioned it publically. You know if someone tweeted that she saved them she would retweet the shit out of that. I'm still tempted to send her a small and see if she answers, but I still have the moral hesitation that it's not something to make up.

I like Gary, but wish he would tweet when he returns, not when he's on his way out of state. Just makes me uneasy when people do that. On the bright side, Leah gets a nice trip to Florida, while Amber isn't available (again, or still).

I like that Gary and Kristina barely Tweet. It seems like they're out living life and raising their children. Amber has nothing to do but tweet and make videos for fans.

Yeah, you're on track with your response. It's hard to say how much he has made because we don't know what his original contract was and whether he received an advance. Technically speaking, however, he'd probably receive around 15% of Kindle price. (His publisher would receive 70% since it is priced over $0.99 and then they would keep 85% of THAT.) He'd most like get 5% of the paperback retail price. Unless he received a big advance, he most likely hasn't seen any money. To be honest, I'd be surprised if he received an advance. They are getting rarer and rarer these days. And he was probably cocky enough to think he didn't need one. If he DID get an advance, we know he hasn't earned enough back to pay it off yet. Different companies have different ways of handling that. Most of the time, though, they just write it off as a loss for taxes.

I'm all about exposing myself on this thread lol...

I've mentioned this before so sorry to those who have read it, but a few years ago my mom passed away.  My sister and I both lived out of state (we are from Texas but were living in Florida) and we were unable to come home often (I was in nursing school and my sister has a high ranking job with Comcast and traveled a lot for work so was unable to travel much for herself). Our mom got really sick, we were unaware how bad it was, she's one of those people that always had something wrong, so when she was saying she didn't feel well we didn't think it out of the ordinary, she didn't want to see a doctor so we thought it couldn't be too bad and brushed it off (yes I realize that's horrible and feel really bad for it now).

It turned out she had cancer, she was diagnosed with endometrial cancer, it was in her brain and lungs and she was only given a short amount of time to live (she was given 6 months, but only lived 5 weeks after that). What we didn't know was she had become bed bound, we have no idea how long it truly was but, probably months based on the state of her house.  She had 2 dogs and 3 cats, so you can imagine the destruction, and she genuinely cared for them, she had fostered the cats and wound up keeping them. Her floorboards were much like Ambers, the carpet had been pulled up, luckily most of the house was tile, even the window sills and doors were scratched, and these were 2 much smaller dogs. A major difference was that my mom owned her house, while Ambers renting, it doesn't make the destruction ok, but when you have to pay for your own damages it's a little more forgivable in my eyes.

After she died though, we had the absolute hardest time selling the house due to so much neglect... floors needed to be sealed because concrete can still absorb odor, recarpeted, baseboards completely replaced, walls sealed and repainted and the air ducts professionally cleaned, and it still took forever to fix all this to list the house (and we wound up having to take a pretty lowball offer because of it).

All of that to say it is not going to be easy for the land lord to repair the damage... he/she must not watch teen mom because if I saw that I would be at my lawyers having eviction papers written up.

I was wondering about that. The contract I read did have a 6 figure advance (paid in 4 installments, based on completion points) and while this person might be a little more popular than the Teen Mom girls (and their partners), we are still talking about a fairly obscure person. I wondered if the sales did not support the advance, if the publishing company would expect to see that money back. I did not see anything in the contract though that said one way or another what would happen.

Fun fact: I used to be a ring attendant for NWA. You know what's not fake?  The blood.  The matches were scripted but when one of those guys bled?  That part was real.  Backstage and the locker room was full of it.  A couple of times, the parking lot was too.  Tuesdays were the worst days for it.  Which makes no sense because Tuesdays were the day the wives and kids flew in.  I guess they all felt extra macho on those days.

Girl, you have to tell me more about this job. What a great fun fact.

Isn't Matt's publisher the same publisher the other Teen Moms used? It isn't as if it is a real publishing company like the other more legit ones, right?
