Oh, so mystery solved! James is eating "all the right foods" but he just wants "extra" of them. So, basically, he's eating 6,000 cups of sugar-free Jello a day.

@meat ironically gastric bypass or stomach removal is one of the treatments for gastroparesis and gastric bypass can cause gastroparesis. Strange world where gastric bypass is also done on underweight patients to help stop vomiting, nausea and weight loss.

he's lived this long. Maybe their wrong, and in the meantime, the fat fairies will come to his house in the middle of the night and inhale... stuff, and he will magically appear one day as fit and handsome as (insert name of someone fit and handsome).

I'm going to preface this by saying this is going to sound super mean, but...James and Lisa just seem so...marginal in terms of grasping how to function properly on a day to day basis.  It blows my mind how stunted they both are in terms of emotional growth.  Put simply...they don't reason, speak, or behave like adults.

Yes.  Kidneys make the factor that stimulates red blood cell production, and he is basically kidney failure.  Kidney failure is a major cause of anemia (there are many different kinds and causes of anemia, not all of them diet-related).
