Tim Miller stepped down from Deadpool 2.  Apparently due to creative differences between Miller and Reynolds.  Could be good, could be bad, could be nothing. However, it does give me pause, i just hope Reynolds didn't let the success go to his head and become a Diva.  Not saying that's what's going on, just a little worried

Only so many warehouses to go around.

I feel for you.  I really do. I'm so grateful I usually don't recognize the warehouses.  That leaves only the hospital room, the parks, the streets, forest clearings, a bunch of hallways and too many staircases.

From tonight's Supergirl episode, it's looking more likely that Alex is the character "exploring their sexuality" this season.

I kinda felt it was already explored and settled in one episode. I mean, they even followed it up with a mild bondage scene.

Heh! I didn't want to jump the gun, though; because they seemed to be setting something up with Kara and Lena Luthor, too.

Yeah, but the Kara/Lena stuff was in the same episode that was setting up Kara/Mon-El, and neither Kara nor Lena said anything about their sexualities. Maggie wasn't just blatant; she took Alex to a bar.

I was wondering if that's maybe where they're going, but I'm honestly still not so sure. I couldn't pin down whether they're going to go for a mentor thing like Arrow and Flash are doing this season (since a bunch of the episode descriptions between the three shows sound pretty similar to one another, ex: "Hero takes newbie out to the streets but newbie has trouble") or not.

I think if they were going to limit it to hero/newbie, they wouldn't have cast a 6' tall gorgeous guy.  I think they were going for more of a Cat/Kara vibe with Lena almost taking Kara under her wing.

They also set up J'onn/Miss Martian.  Romance is in the air.

I still need to watch the episode but ewwwww!  Miss Martian is supposed to be his niece (even if there's really no biological connection)  Just please, no.

Sharon Leal looks amazingly young.  Has anyone been keeping up with the Supergirl spoilers?  Can someone tell me if romance really is likely?  I can get why they'd go there instead of the more paternal relationship since J'onn already has that with Alex and Kara, but if that's the case I REALLY need to know so I can start wrapping my head around that massive change.  I think I could technically be ok with it, but I need all the time I can get in order to get to that place.

Yeah, Sharon Leal looks fantastic for 44 -  as someone who just hit their 40s, I'm jealous. :)

Edited:  I've looked around a bit, and I can't find anything that specifically says that she's supposed to be a love interest for J'onn.  But I did find this. http://comicbook.com/dc/2016/08/26/supergirl-ep-teases-martian-manhunter-ms-martian-relationship-fo/

Thanks.  Still not thrilled but yeah, the hints are there.

Maybe for Flash, I'm thinking Arrow stays at the 0.6 from last week.

I  think FOX has exclusive rights to the World Series, i don't think local stations can play the games.

I think most of Chicago will watch the WS but, there shouldn't be any preemptions

Playoffs had only been on cable up until now. More people might switch over to watch the World Series because it'll be broadcast on a network.

It's also Opening Night for a lot of NBA teams, so sports everywhere.

Got to feel bad for anyone who is allergic to romance and watches Flash.  It seems that hooking everybody up romantically is high on their agenda.

The romatically castrated Arrow must be a safe haven. And who knows what the plan is on LoT beyond some time travelling one night stands.

Arrowverse Will Offer Damien Darhk a Chance for Redemption
Meagan Damore  October 27, 2016

Quote

Damien Darhk may have died in the “Arrow” Season 4 finale, but that’s not the end of his story. Neal McDonough — who plays the nefarious head of HIVE — has a recurring role on “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow,” another series in The CW’s “Arrow”-verse, and there he may just find himself on the side of the angels. At the celebration of “Arrow’s” 100th episode, McDonough weighed in on his character’s future, including whether or not Darhk could ever find redemption.

Asked if there was any way Darhk could be redeemed, McDonough said, “Just had that conversation. Yes. There is one way that we can redeem him.”

As to whether or not we’ll see that sometime soon, he added, “At some point, you will.”

“For me, it’s such a joy to play this character and go to all the different periods that great writers have put up there,” he added, referring to his role in “Legends of Tomorrow.” “It’s been a lot of fun. One episode, I’m in the ’20s. Another episode, I’m in the 1800s. Another episode, I’m in the future. For me, as an actor, it’s just terrific. And the wardrobe is awesome too!”
*  *  *
He also discussed Darhk’s death, saying, “I died the way I was supposed to die, by the hands of Oliver Queen. You don’t really die, which is a great thing. So Marc [Guggenheim] calls me up and goes, ‘You’re going to love the finale. Great fight scenes. The good news is: you’re going to come back. The bad news is: you die at the end of the episode.’ Now that I’m on ‘Legends [of Tomorrow],’ having the time of my life and obviously doing the crossover with the 100th, and that’s been so much fun to play Damien Darhk.”

I disagree that crazeballs, magic, megalomaniacs who attempt to nuke the world can be redeemed. He might do a nice act, but he still won't be redeemed. That's utter BS.

EDIT - Wait! If DD brings back Baby Sara, I may reevaluate my opinion on this matter.

Maybe he's "redeemed" in the past, decades before he planned his ultimate nefarious deed.  I mean, it would totally erase all of Arrow S4, meaning that LL didn't die by his hand (but still died, OK?), Felicity wasn't paralyzed, Andy wouldn't have become a bad guy, Diggle wouldn't have killed him and wouldn't have re-enlisted, Star City crime would be more or less normal--so NO boobs, and BMD NEVER happened because DD wouldn't have been in Star City to hold the stupid kid hostage. Furthermore, if BMD NEVER happened, then Mayo would be erased and Olicity would be married by now.

I love a good redemption story.

I do believe they can be in the hands of skillful writers. I don't think that is necessarily possible with this Flarrowverse Creative team.  I also think there is a limit on how many times the shows can use the whole Megalomaniac Redemption Arc. And I think the Flarrowverse has nearly exceeded their number. Since almost all of their villains have taken a ride through the Redemption Car Wash. It's okay for a villains sole motivation is to be evil and rule the world. I don't think every Villain needs to be redeemed, however that seems to go against the Flarrowverse Mantra of everyone deserves & will get redemption.

I know there are also some true Psychopaths & Sociopaths, it would be nice for a change if the Flarrowverse had some of those.

I believe Gotham has definitely handled the whole Villains we love, Villains we redeem, Tweaking the projectories of Actors the show loves (or has under contract) to the dark side, allowing Villains to be Villains, and lastly having heroic characters do questionable or bad things so much better than all of the Flarrowverse combined.

Flarrowverse has a lot to learn about the handling of Villains from Gotham or your basic literature/drama class.

Edit - about your Edit & Baby Sara, I think we have to be careful speculating or desiring that - because they might go the cliche of DD saving Baby Sara but as a result she is now evviiilll. I don't want an Evil Baby Sara as a consolation prize for the Flarrowverse's misogynistic idiocy.
