This.  The parent teaches the child how to treat people.  Matt is teaching that the deal/the money/being in charge is more important than relationships.  

I don't know what Amy did to them that Tori can't work up a minute of sure we want to see you in the holidays.   Obviously Amy will drive to visit them if that's the issue with all the medical things that obviously Zach and Tori themselves scheduled for December.  I bet she'd even pick up a meal if they asked (in case they prefer she not cook.)  I keep an eye on that so I'm not so overburdened that I don't have time for family in December.  

Regarding Jackson taking over, at granddaughter's second birthday, I grabbed up grandson and plopped him on my lap as his other grandma and that side relatives encouraged him to show his sister how it's done.  I wouldn't let him down to take over.  I whispered to him that it was her day and it was good manners to let her learn by herself just as he had when he was two.  They aren't doing that child any favors at all.  He's going to run into a point where he finds the world doesn't fawn on him and other kids feel the need to knock the arrogance out of him.

Zack was saying in the last episode that he was excited to design and build a tree house, a play yard with a sand box.  Can't wait to see that. My guess is that he'll whine enough and maybe put Jackson up to hinting to Grandpa that he sure would like a tree house and a play area.  And Grandpa thinking that this will surely smooth out Zack and Tori's ruffled feathers he'll probably fall for this. Don't do it Matt. Nothing short of handing over your farm gratis will suffice for those two ingrates.

It was long and boring. The kids are gone. Amy and Matt have broken up.  The farm has become boring and even though production is promoting Chris he’s boring too and scared to death he’s going to offend Amy.

TLC has some of the most digusting programing on the air. Today they are showing reruns of Extreme Couponing from 2012, Dr. Pimple Popper, 600 Lb. life and a show about people with horrible foot conditions. And one of the worst Extreme Cheapskates where they don't flush the toilet after each use and other disgusting habits. So to be # 2 on this network is nothing to brag about.  

These reality shows have a shelf life. The Roloff  kids are grown and on their own. The only ones that are on the show now are the whiners. Amy spends her time with Babe and still being bitter about Matt and Caryn. The farm is up for sale.  And they can take a Christmas show and make it boring. I guess we are watching out of habit.

Most of these episodes I watch out of habit.  I mean we are at the point that they are dragging Amy’s neighbors and Matt’s friends over for opinions on stuff they probably don’t even know or care about.  

Zach is a so lazy.  He should have just taken the lights and threw them on the ground…same energy.  If mediocre was a person.  I’m surprised Tori couldn’t find some Christmas decorating company that would come put up lights for some IG shilling.  Tori and Zach are like two bumps on a log, I mean I’m waiting for guest-starring scone lady and her pajama-wearing husband to come on because they were more exciting.  
 

I wish they’d drop the Amy vs. Matt garbage, I mean she’s remarried and Matt is basically “married”, plus it’s boring and repetitive, and we certainly don’t need any of their friends’ commentary.  Although, I guess, they have to put something on since Jackson is the only one of his household (besides Murphy) that has even the appearance of a personality.

I’d rather see a road trip with Murphy and Henry than this mess.

With all the hoopla (and fake effort) of Zach and his lights, I kind of thought they would be more impressive than they were. 

Whose idea was it for four ADULTS to dress in their jammies and eat dinner together?  That was a little too intimate for my taste. No one needs to see me in my jammies.  If absolutely  necessary (required by TLC), then at least pick out some decent, manly jammies for Chris to wear.  I was embarrassed for him.  For them.  I don't blame him for throwing a jacket, or whatever he was wearing, over those stupid pajamas.

Watching Amy cook and eat is flat out gross.

Well, let's be real; Lilah isn't exactly Miss Personality. 

In fact, Z&T had to tell us that she's FINALLY getting one at age 2 1/2.  When all someone says is "uh" with no facial expressions, I'm not sure how much of a relationship one can have with her...  They certainly went all out for her birthday and tried to engage with her each time they've seen her, but it's not easy when she's just kind of "there" and screams for Tori every time someone walks in the door.  Speaking of which, does Tori ever put that kid down?  She's either holding or carrying her constantly.  It seems to me Lilah could benefit from some play dates with kids if not OT/PT.

Yes, his legs look worse than ever!  Should they, like the Klein kids, be going to LP specialists?  That said, Tori really needs to take lessons from M&A on coping like an adult with surgeries; her anxiety and hypersolicitousness surrounding the whole thing aren't helping, and this is just their FIRST child to undergo the FIRST procedure.  Yikes!

As for that absolutely adorable cabin -- well done again, Matt! -- it's primitive camping or rather "glamping" since there's IS a structure, nice beds, a cozy woodstove, etc.  Plenty of people camp without a bathroom or running water.  In fact, Zach and Jackson did this just recently in the farm forest unless they ran to Grandpa's house to use the facilities at 2:00 a.m.  I wouldn't put it past him.

It's also possible there's a folding portable potty somewhere or even a composting toilet, which is very compact; they make them for campers.

Amy is very proud of her sexy self and never hesitates to show off her body, but that WAS awkward considering it was ONLY the next-door neighbors.  I had gotten the impression from the Insta pics at the time that it was a large gathering, which would be fun with all the different jammies on parade.  But just the four adults ready for bed was giving me swinger vibes.  Also, Amy, a "competition" is usually blind; you don't START OUT telling the judges which entry is yours versus Chris's.

This was a quieter, low drama episode. For the most part, I enjoyed it. I needed a break from the awkward, tense Matt and Caryn/Zach and Tori visits.

I enjoyed Chris and Amy cooking their casseroles and their game night with Zach's family.

I could live without the friends visits. I think that whenever these reality shows have friends discussing things with the main characters, it's boring. I really couldn't care less what the friends think or say.

I wouldn't want every episode to be like this one, but it was fine for one week.

Next week, Arizona... That should be interesting.

My thoughts: Would someone please rescue that poor dog from these ungrateful imbeciles?  "Who let the dog in?" and "he's probably just looking for food." Ugh!!! Shame on both of them, but especially Tori who "closed shop" on a reluctant Zach until he relented and bought Murphy who just melted into Chris when he showed him kindness and attention; he's so starved for it and unaccustomed to it.  At least he now has room to run, which is the ONLY upside of that new property from hell.

Agree that this was a boring episode.  If it's not uncomfortable family conflict, it's wannabe celebrity friends and neighbors or poor little Jackson suffering physically and emotionally, none of which is in the least entertaining.

Let's be real...this Arizona trip was a coordinated and paid for by TLC to bring drama to the show. I am pretty sure Matt and Caryn did not have the idea to give Chris and Amy a wedding gift of visiting them in Arizona. The producers came up with this as a way of keeping viewers involved in some perceived tension and drama between these couples.

I don't think it is fair to describe a small child as not being "exactly Miss Personality". She's only two years old! I suspect that Lilah might have some mild autism going on. She appears to be way behind verbally for her age and tends to play alone and not engage...all markers for autism. It doesn't help that her mother and father don't interact with her verbally and rarely play with her or read to her. Picking her up and carrying her around then plopping her down and walking away isn't interacting. They are way too invested in Jackson and give him tons of attention and interaction...poor Lilah is just left to her own world. I think if they were concerned at all about her age related markers like speech not being normal they would talk to their pediatrician about it and set up an appointment with a specialist. The sooner you tackle these things the better...I know firsthand since I have a child that was similar to Lilah and was very much speech delayed at age two.

First step was to get his hearing tested that rendered nothing and he was cleared. Once he started kindergarten, he was totally verbal but needed the help of a speech therapist to correct some pronounciation issues. He also had some physical education help as he was having difficulty with his small motor skills. All seemed to be going smoothly and he was  a straight A student all throughout  middle school and high school...college was more of a challenge socially and when he was a junior in college, a therapist suggested he get tested for autism. He was tested and diagnosed with Asperger's which is a mild form of autism that has markers in childhood like verbal delays and small motor skills issues. At the time when he was young, pediatricians were not knowledgable about autism and what to look for...now it's different and early intervention, even with a mild form of autism, is crucial to getting professional help to lead a healthy and productive life...Tori and Zach need to get Lilah a better pediatrician who can help her.

Chris sure has mellowed out. There was a time something like that would have driven him crazy, now he's passive Chris making tater tot casseroles with his make believe neighbors and wearing ugly pj's to boot! Could marriage have changed him that much? He agrees to everything, nothing bothers him. Is pot legal in OR because it sure looks like it to me! 

Yes, Matt. You are right, you are close to 60 and getting too old to mess with the constant upkeep of the farm. Sell it!

I assumed the little cabin was more of a playhouse for the grandkids or a sort of man cave getaway, not a place where you would actually sleep over. Who knows. It was cute, though. 

What happened to Amy's besties Deb and what ever else the other one's name is? They used to be on all the time, even did those dreadul cooking segments on social media with Amy. This season we haven't seen them at all.

The whole pajama thing was ridiculous and Amy running to the door when the neighbors arrived and striking a pose had me dying laughing.  Yes Amy your PJ’s are the nicest and you look the best.  None of the grown men I know would be caught dead having dinner with anyone in pajamas.  I thought the cabin looked very festive and was nice.  

Are ZiT calling their place a farm?  I don’t think it’s a farm.  It is just a house with property.  Is it zoned to be a farm?  The property J&A purchased is a farm and I think someone said it is only a short ride away from Roloff Farms.  Poor Murphy, I hope he is not kept outside permanently now.   What a disappointment those lights were, but I suppose that’s Zach’s best.  Game night dinner, Mac and Cheese and bagged Caesar salad.

What I noticed about the food Amy (and Chris) serve is how HIGH CALORIE it is. 

The foods they serve seem to have a big emphasis on processed carbs and very little clean proteins, fruits and veggies. 

I can understand preparing tasty foods but from what I see, the foods she serves (Chris' casserole too) would pack the pounds on folks, especially in their age bracket.

Exactly most of her recipes are high calorie, lots of fat, tons of garlic she also uses a lot of salt.

I can’t remember which recipe (it might have been her oven casserole French toast) she kept adding more heavy cream and more huge blobs of butter and chunks of cream cheese… then tons of syrup and whipped cream… I was like holy cow how much more cream, butter, cheese is she gonna add before it’s rich enough for her liking?  😖
