I'm probably at a table for one here, but I can't stand "The Skinny."  

An hour or so of Whitney braying whilst the barnacles stroke her ego. 

Babs and Glenn sitting in their chairs with their eyes glazed over (also what I do watching The Skinny).

The only time I saw anyone challenge Whitney's bullshit (the comedienne a few seasons back) was thrown off the set.  

Wasn't the last "The Skinny" actually some half-assed engagement party for Whitney and Chase (snort)?  

I'll be disappointed to see this season end.  The snark has been particularly delectable.

Table for two at the bare minimum. If they would actually talk about something with some substance, I could get on board, but last time was some BS engagement games? I don't even enjoy them when they're my friends' engagement parties, who are actually engaged for real. I didn't even do anything like that when I was engaged because it's too stupid.

Let's do some real talk, then maybe I'll tune in. The "skinny" was never watchable to me.

The blatant bullying of Ryan and practically mocking Buddy's depression, on top of the flagrant covid safety violations. What a truly terrible person and I wouldn't be surprised if she finds herself very alone once TLC stops paying people to be around her.

Whitney was so rude to Buddy on S8 Episode 13. With her rollercoaster of emotions from her recent breakup, Buddy has devoted all his time to being with Whitney to help her and take care of her. So when Buddy opens up about having a depression-moment, instead of being patient and supportive, she went off on him stating that he should suck it up and for him not to act the way he was.  But she just told him the night before while they were in the pool that she was basically going to be there for him! What an unsupportive and 2-faced friend. Thanks, Buddy

A big part of my business is trying to stay relevant in between releases so I get the whole SM interaction thing. She just comes across as so...juvenile and self important?

She seems to be coming apart at the seams. She’s letting more and more of her true narcissistic and vile personality come out more and more often. Between some kind of self-control and better editing, she’s been able to make her personality look more like silliness, immaturity, etc. But now she’s losing control on the edit, on her self control, and on her barnacles. So we are seeing she’s nasty and cruel, not just immature and gross.

Oh, good point. I didn't catch the ambiguity. I wonder if this is like her announcing "Chase will be a father in October," when she knew the delivery date was much earlier. So yeah, he'd be a dad in October, but he'd already have been a dad for a month or so.  And now yeah, she knows whether or not there is going to be another season, but she's not actually saying what she knows.

They can only edit what Whitney gives them. If she's acting terribly most of the time, there's only so much they can do to hide the worst of her behavior.

Honestly, she should stay off of social media because whatever sympathy the show is able to cobble together for her gets washed away. And  it's not like we don't see enough of her real personality on the show. How she has any real fans is beyond me.

I agree. I just think in the past they have edited more out and now they are leaving her crappy behavior in a lot more. I think a few seasons ago they might have edited out her tantrum to get the mic off of her or just granted a request to ‘cut’. 

Her SM is getting worse and worse as well. It’s never been good, but it’s really getting out of control.

I didn’t watch the Buddy video, hell I didn’t even watch the last episode, but I think no matter how well Buddy may be doing right now, he knows that he will always use Whitney to fall back on for a room, TLC $$ or whatever he has gotten off her over the years as a result he has become her emotional/physical support person so to speak.  They enable each other and until that is addressed by an actual qualified professional, it won’t ever be fixed in my opinion.

I started rewatching the early seasons. It's like one of those little flip books where, if you do it fast enough, you can see the cartoon guy move. Only in this case Whitney gets more terrible.
