I guess that's why I am addicted to Longmire with leads in their 50's.  There is no reason that sexy is reserved for those in their 20's and 30's.  In Longmire, both Robert Taylor (55) and Lou Diamond Phillips (54) make my  heart go pitty-pat.

I might be in my mid twenties, but I have been watching the crap out of the new season of Longmire on Netflix, and...I totally get it. I mean, Robert Taylor and LDP are dreamy as hell, even though neither are really my type, considering they are both a couple years older than my actual father. But I do enjoy seeing the lives and romances of people after 40 (or 50 or 60...) and hate the idea that people just shrivel up and die the second they leave their 30s. I am also WAY more into Luke/Lor than I ever have been than any of Rorys love interests. I was never super thrilled with any of her three main boyfriends (I liked Dean until they made him to be a moronic dickhead, and I disliked Jess until he came back in season 6), but I was always invested in Luke/Lor.

Waiting for my husband to find the time to binge watch Longmire with me.

Much like my resolve to never peak at Christmas gifts ahead and spoil the surprise, I am desperately trying not to binge watch  so I can make the joy last as long as possible.  I have watched the first three - twice each.  Damn, what great writers!  Will be looking for your thoughts on the Longmire forum!

I haven't seen much of SP lately (other than some vague pix) so am eager to see him in action.

Let us not forget that much gets edited out and also, SP tends to exaggerate in interviews at times.

He's not the only one exaggerating. Lauren Graham playing up the feminism angle and ignoring that the overwhelming amount of key plot points were about the romantic relationships is an exaggeration as well. Scott Patterson is just having more fun now because at his age he has no significant further career in acting and he clearly does not give a shit. Graham and Bledel are both trying to keep the career plates spinning.

The boyfriends are sticking to the publicity rules because all three of them have arguably more successful careers post GG than anyone else including Graham and Bledel. Their careers are therefore more at risk if they say something the machine doesn't want them to say. I think Tanc Sade, while not a boyfriend, was given a publicity role to keep things interesting for a while. That was fun to watch.

When I read the feminism quote I rolled my eyes because you can see the loss of ASP's continuity last season in the works already.

I actually chuckle when I read SP's interviews because I know he's going to spill something.  He's been getting in trouble since he said there was talk of a GG comback on his  first G Guys podcast. Then head got in trouble with Alexis Bledel's family for confirmation of her child; which I believe is nonsense unless the cast were specifically asked not to talk to the press about it. But I agree, he's is having fun and running with it.

Why would he wear his hat that way?  It's just wrong. Didn't lorelai say that once?

Someone said it was linked with the shop somehow. It was clearly a new hat plopped on his head. The brim wasn't even properly curved. But he should have known better LOL. If Lorelai had been there, she would have fixed it.

From what I read they gave him that hat when he got to the store. So that explains why it doesn't fit him at all.

So, there are new photos out for the revival, including an official first photo of Jess, and a photo of Friday Night Dinner with the Gilmore Girls, Luke, and something very special that you just have to see for yourself. That picture definitely made me nostalgic.

Seriously, though, it looks like hardly anyone has aged. Jess literally looks like he just stepped out of season 4.

So many good photos today...makes me really excited for the revival!

That was kind of a weird photo. Apparently he wasn't attending as there was no 4th place set that I could see.  I highly doubt they would put him in Richard's place at the head of the table.

Yeah, that picture made me think there was some kind of drama going on, where he showed up unannounced for some reason.

UP is going to do a marathon of all 153 episodes the week before the revival airs.

In the bigger picture there is a place setting at the end of the table. There is a bread plate with bread on it.

Well, no. Melissa McCarthy is by far the most successful Gilmore alum. That's why she was the hardest to get back. Jared and Matt have had similar success to Lauren. If This Is Us has a good run, then Milo will have the best run of the boyfriends.

Those are some weird photos. Some are really awkward in how stilted they are. And apprently they used different caps again. In some other stills we have seen Luke's cap fits and in these new ones they don't. Why is Lauren's hair so light? Where is the dark hair?

That FND picture is sort of hilarious. Luke is standing straight with hands in his pockets looking off to who knows what. Like he expects someone to play the anthem. Lorelai is looking like 'please don't play it.'. Emily has her 'shut up Lorelai' expression. And Rory has her 'pick spot on carpet and stare' look. What the hell? This picture would be fine without Luke there because I can't make sense of why he looks so out of place (clothing aide). Literally with his body language and where he is looking off to.

The way Luke is looking across the table in the dinner photo makes me think maybe he prepared the food?  Also he's wearing the same shirt as in the photo with Lorelai and Rory and the shopping bags in the diner.

It makes me think that he interrupted dinner for some reason. But nobody seems upset, or even curious as to why he's standing there.

The other three are sitting there, apparently not even considering someone is standing there. It's one of the weirdest publicity stills I've seen. Luke could almost have been photoshopped into it.

And I have to say it, in spite of the love for Richard: That's one creepy, too-large image for any widow who isn't batshit crazy.

LOL, and it's SO not Emily. The tablecloth is crooked.

I noticed how big the portrait is too

I don't know why your description of Luke made me laugh so hard that I almost choked, but it did. Well played and thanks for the hearty laugh!

A lot of those stills look like someone just snapped a random photo during a scene and each actor was just caught in the most unfortunate stance/position. I mean, Lorelai is still cutting her meat on her plate, and Luke looks like he's smiling at the ghost of Richard behind Lorelai or something. It's all very odd.

I would laugh if Luke was actually photoshopped in the FND still, though. It would make perfect sense as to why nobody seems to react that he's there, why Luke has a creepy smile, why it looks like he interrupted dinner with the casual clothes, why Emily looks like she's about to kill Lorelai, and why Lorelai looks like she's speaking to Rory and not the creepy boyfriend in the corner of the room. I say boyfriend because there's no ring on her finger.

Also, I guess a lot of these stills might hint toward neither Gilmore Girl being pregnant as previously rumoured/speculated.

The most generous interpretation I can think of is that they wanted to ensure the actor was appropriately honored and went really overboard.  Otherwise, that portrait is ridiculous.  It's overpowers everything in the room, and looks like it belongs more on the set of a murder mystery.

Yeah, but over the top is very much Emily's style, so it's kind of in keeping!

Emily. Wearing. Jeans.

Jess isn't wearing a wedding ring. Drat. That quick Rory/Jess exchange seemed to have a firmly platonic vibe, though, which is nice.

Rory in the scene where she's lamenting her job and lack of credit to Jess has her back to a window with "Stars Ho[llow] (...) Publishing since 19.." if you flip the image (according to an eagle-eyed Redditor). If you look behind Jess, there are old-looking computers, older-looking chairs, bookshelves, an older-looking gentleman wearing a bowtie...and Rory and Jess are drinking....?

Is Lorelai seeing a therapist?

The shot of Luke driving while Lorelai and Rory stand in the truck seems to be from "Fall," as are the shots of the dancers (and Lorelai standing in the middle of the circle they form). And no, Lorelai is not wearing a wedding ring.

I actually cried...real tears...sitting at my desk at work. with my door open.

Thank God nobody walked in. LOL

That was perfection. The episodes could suck and I'd be ok because I'd still have this trailer...well, maybe... lol

"They don't bring me joy."...the tshirt and jeans!!! The giant Richard portrait!! Oh Emily...how I've missed you!!!! :)

So, Jess is possibly back living in SH, pre-Rory returning?  I like that, actually.  The idea of everyone coming back just coincidentally at the same time would be kind of ridiculous.  And as much as I never liked Jess for Rory, I'd like to think that he and Luke have remained close.

Logan has two guitars sitting out in (presumably) his apartment.  Was he into music before?  Or maybe he's at Lane and Zach's in SH?  It doesn't look like an especially expensive place, and it appears to maybe have a porch and a yard with trees?  Not at all what I'd imagine for Logan Huntzburger's London flat, TBH.

Hmm...

Matt Czuchry is looking fabulous, though.  After watching him (deliberately) lose weight and frown his way through the final two seasons of The Good Wife, it's nice to see his smile.

Why would Logan be in London? Last we saw he was moving to San Francisco, was there a spoiler?
