Yes!!  Given some of the people on the jury, I was very surprised--and pleased--with how it went.  I'd say the closest was Kimmi, and Jeremy pretty much shot her down with the truth.

Me too.  I'm surprised, but happy.  I remember the first AS season being one of the absolute worst.

 

So will someone throw a vote Spencer/Tasha's way so they can't share second or does Jeremy have a clean sweep?  Baby news aside, he's played a great game and gave great answers.  Spencer seemed to have a bit of a condescending tone.  I think he really thought he had this.

 

Count me in as missing the opening/closing statements.  Maybe they should go back to a final 4 finale or do a double boot.

Ugh. I'm sorry, but I hate the "doing it for my family" pitch, and if I were on the jury, I wouldn't reward it any more than Spencer or Tasha's reasons.

 

And I have a hard time believing that anyone goes on these types of shows for the sole reason of providing for their family. You take a second job to provide for your family. You cut coupons. Who the hell says, "I'm gonna go win Survivor"?

 

I liked Jeremy up until this episode. Now I just find him entitled and annoying. Spencer and Tasha equally have families - so what, because they don't have children they're less deserving?All I hear from Jeremy is the family argument - I want to hear about why you deserve it based on your play, not because of who or what you're playing for.

 

But all that is moot because I'm sure he realized that this jury would eat that shit up and that's why he's stressing it. I really like Spencer and thought he deserved the win based on what we were shown. Oh well.

I loved that Abi needed notes to ask that one question. She looked gorgeous though. Yeah Jeremy solidified his win and good for him. Also, I guess Tasha pretty much copped to that pre-game alliance with Spencer. Yup, I'm waiting for the post-season interviews where they admit they were planning to get rid of Jeremy at four but of course couldn't because he won Immunity. 

 

While I don't think Spencer was going to win, I do think he might have gotten a vote or two, until he blew up his chances in his desperation to get to the end. In one tribal council he undid everything he'd worked at for the season. He knew one of the things about him was his getting nervous and sometimes over-talking himself into the trouble. And he did it this time. 

 

That said, I'll happily stay in the minority and say I like Spencer and Tasha and am happy with this Final 3. Yes Spencer can be arrogant but he's a 23 year old kid who is extremely smart and kind of a nerd. No it's not an excuse, just saying it's not so surprising that he has some arrogance in him. Also I do think he can grow and learn and while he may be arrogant, I don't think he's a bad person.

 

I've never found him to be malicious or truly hateful to anyone in the game. And Tasha, again, I've seen nothing truly hateful or unkind from her. Almost all of these people have had moments of douchiness but unless someone does something truly hateful or unkind, I don't have a problem with them. I think Jeremy, Spencer and Tasha are all pretty decent people and they all did a good job in my opinion to get to the end, so congratulations to them. And this really was a VERY good season. And thank goodness because last season SUCKED. Although watching Mike immunity win his way to the end while Dan seethed was pretty funny. 

 

eta: Oh wow, Tasha really made up for her weight loss on the island huh.

I'm the same way. Everyone has their reasons for wanting the money. Just because you have children doesn't mean you deserve the money more then someone who doesn't. I watch Big Brother as well, and people are always saying that stuff all the time. Oh this person doesn't deserve to be here because they have this job and make enough. Or this person has kids, so we can't vote them out. Everyone regardless of what their situation at home, deserves it.

Jeremy wins!  Well earned, and super happy he did out of that final 3.

 

His little girl is yelling 'daddy'.  So Jeff says Val could go in labor at any moment.  Could thing her husband is a firefighter/first responder.  This finale beats that last two by a landslide and an ocean.

He was banned.  He left right after being voted off and went home (which he believes was the reason he was excluded) but he was active on SM while filming was going on.  On top of spoilers being leaked out, many think that is the real reason he wasn't asked back because he was behind them (or at least for being on SM and giving that away).  Plus, he whined that he wouldn't have come back if he knew he'd be out first.
