Christine Brown Woolley: Nacho Sister Wife Anymore

I believe Truely lives with Christine and I don’t see that ever changing. Kody and Robyn like their pod the way it is and I think Christine and Truely are close.

I read the question as where would she stay when Christine is on her honeymoon. Certainly not with Kody.

That's exactly what I meant. When Christine first moved to Utah, the topic of Truely visiting Kody was basically shot down. IRC, he and Robyn said they didn't have a room for her in Robyn's house.

The honeymoon happened "moons" ago.  Maybe one day we will find out where Truely stayed.

They are currently on a "second honeymoon" trip to Spain I believe.  I'd guess that Ysabel or Aspen comes and stays with her when they travel, and maybe one of David's older kids checks on them too.

They're traveling to Europe again, living the good life. Ahhh... Remember when Kody insulted Christine by confidently claiming that whoever hooked up with her would just be after HIS money? Well, it's obvious to everyone that David and Christine are doing just fine without Kody's thousands of dollars.

Two bites at the honeymoon apple?

https://www.imdb.com/news/ni64290086/ This article says they went to Disney.  Does Christine sometimes make it up as she goes?  This isn't the first discrepancy.

She posted about Disney at the time and called it a vacation.

Regarding the trip they’re on now, unless they’re back no clue, she said, “We are finally on our honeymoon!! Yep, a year later, we just decided to take our time and go when we were ready.”.

So a trip immediately after the wedding that was reported as a honeymoon, she calls a vacation and basically an anniversary vacation is a honeymoon. I hate to tell Christine, but words have meanings.  A newlywed vacation is the very definition of honeymoon.

She also has some trouble with the word "engagement".  Who scouts wedding venues if they haven't discussed marriage. She must think it requires a ring on your finger and a party.

This is a “reality” show. I suspect TLC presented the storyline and she went with it. It’s not like the cameras just happened to catch her on the random day she decided to check out wedding venues with her boyfriend of 2 months. I think this is just as much of a set up as the “family game night” at Kasa Kody a couple episodes ago.

I think Christine is very capable of doing just that. She's just not very mature and seems to have missed out on a lot in life. To me, it feels like a desperate attempt to catch up on that, to live her dreams and to piss off Kody.

I have no interest in the entire Christine/David storyline. They come off like horny teenagers and Christine doesn't appear to care how any of this affects her children. The Christine/David thing is now eating up more than half of every episode. I've started fast-forwarding through it. It's becoming more obvious that they have no show because the original adults don't interact. Even Christine and Janelle are going in separate directions. They are all in completely different geographic locations.

I think they are feeling us out for a Christine/David spinoff series, and I wouldn't watch it.

Agreed.  I'm happy Christine got the things she missed out on marrying Kody, but I don't need to watch them schmoop at each other all the time.  Time to go live their lives off of TV.

Christine’s enthusiasm is so much better to watch than if she was endlessly sad and depressed about being separated from Kody and not being polygamous. If she was still putting up with getting minutes of Kody’s attention when he happened to remember she was one of his wives it would be horrible.

I think she is a naturally bubbly and optimistic personality. She would probably drive me crazy if I had to live with her I can handle watching her on tv.

I've said this elsewhere, but I am thrilled that she found what she always wanted in David.  My only problem was that she kept repeating that she didn't care what her kids thought.  She used them for emotional support for years and it's not like they were telling her not to marry David.  They were just concerned that she was moving really fast.  I just felt she could have been a bit more sensitive, but she can be as happy as she wants.

I really hope that Christine doesn't come to regret taking this custody issue to court. Kody allowed her to leave the state with no visitation or custody plan. The court could now make decisions that are not in Christine's favor. I had a friend who tried to do something similar, and her ex ended up getting a lot of visitation time, and my friend had to get her child there and back because she moved for questionable reasons.

In my state, when it comes to teenagers (14 and over) the judge heavily considers what they want in terms of visitation. I think if Truly were younger there would be an issue about having to go back and forth but I doubt it at this point.

Also does anyone think Kody will fight for visitation? Although at least now Truly can have her own room in the new McMansion!

I can see him fighting for visitation just to spite Christine. I don't think that he cares about his relationship with Truely any more than he cares about his relationships with all of his other non-Robyn children.

As a remarried homeowner, Christine's Utah residence no longer looks like a fly-by-night Kody dodge. Christine has one or both parents there and probably some siblings, too. She's from Utah. Some of her kids live there. Her husband has an established business there. I'm not too worried.

Besides, I don't think Christine ever wanted to prevent Kody from seeing Truely, anyhow. She wants Kody to pay his fair share of Truely's support, and he should. It seems likely to me that he is balking, and that's what his court action is really about.

The Yahoo report is an In Touch article; Yahoo republishes via some syndication deal. Here is a link to the original in In Touch

The In Touch reporting seems a little sketchy to me. Thank you for sharing it, @Kellyee. I'm not coming down on you. I just get annoyed, because I think In Touch could afford to be accurate.

I also don't put much stock in the source In Touch used:

The news was first reported by Without a Crystal Ball blogger, Katie Paul, on Tuesday, January 7.

That YouTuber breaks news sometimes, but I often feel like she gets one bit of information and suggests conclusions I think are too big (at least based on what she's going on).

This part of the In Touch/Yahoo piece is inaccurate:

Quote

Shortly after their breakup, Truely made the decision to move in with her mom in Flagstaff, Arizona.

We have seen Truely's life play out since she was Christine's last baby bump. Truely had always lived in her mom's homes:

  • Lehi apartment (in the Lehi plyg house)
  • Las Vegas rental
  • Las Vegas cul-de-sac house
  • Flagstaff house.

To the extent he did tried to be present in all the families, Kody rotated between the moms' houses. Truely never lived with Kody and Robyn. There was talk about Truely staying over at Kody and Robyn's when she went back to Flagstaff to visit, but I'm not sure that ever took place.

This wording is inaccurate, too:

Quote

Fans of the popular TLC series were skeptical when Christine claimed that she felt like Truely moving in with her would salvage her relationship with Kody, and the dad of 18 slammed her decision.

Christine did make some questionable claims on the show, but it was never about Truely "moving in" with her, because True always lived with her. It was more about her moving away with the child.

Christine claimed that by moving to Utah (and taking Truely with her), it might preserve/save Truely's relationship with Kody, because Kody's tendency to ignore all the kids who aren't Robyn's kids wouldn't be right in Truely's face. It sounded like rationalization at the time, because Christine offered it as a "reason" for leaving, quite some time after she left.

That article just pushed some buttons. It's like someone Googled stuff and made big assumptions, or used AI to write the bones of the piece, and doesn't know enough about the show to correct mistakes. They didn't even differentiate between "moving" and "moving in."

I don't.  He would be spending a lot of $$ without any shitty art to show for it. If he cared about Truely, he would have made more attempts to get to know her and have space at wherever he is living.

I think Christine just wants Kody to (possibly quite literally) meet her halfway when it comes to seeing Truely. As in, make plans and stick to them and stop leaving it all on them to chase him or be available. And to pay his share.

Having it all in legal black and white means he can never rewrite his relationship (or lack of) with Truely and Truely won't have to question it herself - it'll all be there.

Christine wrote a book:

https://www.theashleysrealityroundup.com/2025/01/29/exclusive-sister-wives-star-christine-brown-has-written-a-tell-all-book-get-all-the-details/

So she beat Meri to this. I just hope she had a good editor, because if she repeats herself as often when she writes as she does when she speaks, it's going to exceed the storage capacity of my Kindle.

Maybe she will have a ghostwriter.  I really learned about ghostwriting in the book The Many Lives of Mama Love which wasn't really about that at all.

I'm not going to fault her for getting in first. However, how true can it be when she'll be under an NDA with the show producers. She can't go contradicting whatever piffle has been put out on the show so it'll be airbrushed and truth-adjacent at best.

The best book will be the one that comes from a kid that isn't tied to production in some way.

I wouldn't believe a single word from any of them.  Their entire existence relies on grifting suckers who fork over money for their crap, lies and all.  Count me out.

Sorry, I'd far rather have a book from Meri even though she will be an unreliable narrator on some things.  There might be a few interesting bits from Christine about her childhood, but I don't expect much else.  I want Meri to tell us where the bodies are buried.

I want a book from a forensic accountant, telling us where the (real and imagined) money has gone...

Definitely spreadsheets and a Powerpoint, not just a flimsy poster board showing a down arrow saying housing prices were about to tank in Las Vegas (a la Kody's presentation to the wives about moving to Flagstaff).

I want numbers, trends, forecasts and interpretations. I want all the gory details about the Brown family financial house of cards. Income, debts, credit scores, property and appreciation - all of it.
