It's a drippy name either way. Man, I held out against stupid couple names for so long before figuring it was like holding back the tide, but most of them still kind of make me cringe.

I also don't think there's a chance in hell they'll go back to Drew/Sam while Burton's Jason is around.

Scout looked like she actually did just wake up from a nap, LOL

Poor thing.  She looked all in a kerfufle, like they grabbed her from somewhere and tossed her in Billy's arms.  I was surprised she didn't start crying.

Was it just me or did she look a lot like the kid who plays Danny, like she could be his real sister?

"I only have half of this locket, this must mean that I didn't miscarry 20 plus years ago and my child is out there somewhere".  What?  I mean, I know it's true, but how the heck do you jump to that conclusion.

Madeline did say it was to heal Nina's heart. What else has Nina been thinking about except her coma baby? I'm shocked she didn't just sense it earlier that the kid was out there. Some mother.

when she read the note and it had to do with "healing hearts", I thought it was a clue that Madeline was not dead, did not have a heart attack.  That's the road I was going down.  Then Nina starts freaking out that her baby didn't die after all and I went, wait what?

Did anyone else think it was weird when Kristina and Valerie reunited, they were talking about Kristina being in town for Michael's baby's funeral and Valerie thought it was great Kristina was being there for Michael, but there was no acknowledgement that Valerie is ALSO related to Michael?

They seem to have forgotten Valerie was a Spencer since her affair with Dante went nowhere. Sometimes I think they forget Michael is a Spencer.

This is also the show that had Lucas work on Nathan when he got shot, disappeared from all the scenes after that, and had no acknowledgement that Lucas was related to Maxie.

I'm not sure I mentioned this at the time, but I HATED that Nina was the one that told Maxie about her own cousin getting his baby.  And then the show had Maxie fire off a quick text all, "See, we fuckin' acknowledged they're cousins.  Actually show Maxie and Lucas in a scene together?  Why would we do that?".

Back to Valerie and Kristina, there is a spark there, moreso than there ever was with Parker.  But do we really need to see another Spencer/Corinthos pairing that compromises another Port Charles cop?

Either clumsy writing or they didn't want people to get confused and think Kristina and Valerie were related somehow, or both.

I don't see why that would be so much of an issue when we have Liz engaged to her half-brother's half-brother and Joss dating her half-brother's cousin.

How does Sam have "plenty of room" for Kristina?  As far as I know, she has her bedroom and Spin's former bedroom, in which I assume Danny lives.  For a "penthouse", the place is tiny.

Who is this Danny person of which you speak??

Wait. You mean Sam has children?! Color me shocked. You'd never know it by her actions. I never see her with either Danny or (ugh) "Scout". She is too busy "detecting" and mooning after Jason living her own life.

I hate what they did to Sam and Sam & Drew.

I didn't mean that they didn't want the audience to think that they had a relative in common, I meant that they they didn't want the audience to be confused and think that Kristina and Valerie were themselves related.

Kristina, already an air hog.

Are we sure Terri is going to be Kristina's new love?  Krissy looked like more than besties with Valerie.  At least Valerie wouldn't tower over her.

Kristina and Valerie were definitely vibing.  Is Terri gay? Did she mention her personal life?

And this story with Mike makes me really sad because my mom died from associated illnesses related to Alzheimers. If any shows are going to do a story about this illness, please, please get it right!! You’re doing such a disservice to your viewers who have experienced this illness or will experience it with family members. This is nothing to screw around with, people. Get It Right!!!!

I'm so sorry for your loss and what I'm sure you went through. I am experiencing something similar with my MIL -- she has a kind of dementia -- and it feels like every time I try to escape with a show, there's an Alzheimer's/dementia story line. I guess I just never had a reason to pay as much attention before, but it seems kind of eerie.

They've said boo about Terri, other than she used to be a guy, was friends with Liz and was Liz' first kiss.  And now, apparently, she's a pediatric oncologist and Oscar's specialist.

YES!  I had that same thought.  I continue to be seriously annoyed by the fact that Valerie's connection to any Spencer not named Bobbie is totally ignored.

Well, it's not like Val really has a relationship with any Spencer besides Bobby and Lulu anyway.

Besides, I don't know how they would acknowledge it in a way that wasn't awkward as fuck, and unnatural.  Like "hey, how's my cousin Michael doing?" or something sounds odd.  The best could be "Aunt Bobbie said..." but she doesn't refer to her that way that I know of, so it would be shoehorned in.  I know and spend time with people who are tangentially related to me all the time (grew up in a small town, hard not to) and we don't make a habit of signing off on those shared relatives when we meet.  Gossip about them though?  totally.

Now, Nina's telling Maxie about Wiley's birth?  that's a whole nother story.

Joss' heavy-handed dialogue, essentially: "Oscar, I'm so glad you were released from General Hospital! We're so lucky to be young and restless, with all the days of our lives in front of us to spend together. We only have one life to live, let's make the most of it by making out in the woods!" Subtle as a two-by-four to the head, as always.

Nina connecting the half-heart necklace (which was totally designed to be in two pieces, but nice try pretending otherwise, show) to "Annie" (why?) and concluding that it's a message from her mother that she didn't have a miscarriage had me doing the Jason Morgan slow blink of confusion. Seriously, what? Even more annoying than that inane thought process is the fact that she's RIGHT.

Loved Drew confiding in Sam about the Oscar situation. That quiet little conversation and handholding displayed more intimacy than anything we've seen from Sam and Jason.

My husband watched the show years ago when we were just dating/early married and he still felt he had to do those things with me.  He ended up watching Monday's show with me for no other reason than he was off from work and didn't have anything better to do.  Anyway, he saw the Joss/Oscar scene and goes, "So which one of them is dying and isn't aware of it?"  Subtle, writers, when someone who hasn't seen the show since Jerry took over the Metro Court. And, by the way, you should hear my husband talk about that storyline. It's gold.  Sad that that ridiculousness was much better than what is currently on the screne.

Remember when Val told Bobbie and Carly that Lucas and Brad wanted to adopt because she's been invited to lunch and seen the brochures aka they're too cheap to pay Lucas or Brad for the appearance.

Oddly enough, I thought Lexi Ainsworth had chemistry with William DeVry. Yes, it’s kind of creepy but they were putting it out there. DeVry doesn’t have any chemistry with Tamara Braun no matter how hard they try to convince us. He had amazing chemistry with NLG but the previous writer ruined that and doesn’t seem like they can’t recover from it. It’s odd because it’s a soap which isn’t real but they can’t seem to justify Alexis & Julian getting back together. The writers crossed a line.

It's more backstage politics than anything as to why Julian/Alexis haven't gotten a real reunion since the knife incident.

FV is not a fan of the pairing but I think others are not keen on getting that pairing back together too.

I hope TPTB have a better direction for Kristina than they the last time they brought her back.  I would love it if they mined her history of being abused by Kiefer.  What if as a bartender at Charlies she takes notice of a young high school or college age woman who is being abused by her boyfriend.  Kristina befriends this girl and tries to help her.  This experience could lead her to become a domestic violence advocate.  Have we ever had a soap character that is an DV/children's advocate?  Kristina could work at GH while she attends classes so she can become a social worker.  Stella could be a mentor to Kristina.  There are so many storyline possibilities.  What if Kristina started working with a older woman who worked in one of Sonny's strip clubs.  This woman does not realize Kristina Davis is Sonny's daughter and she tells her how Sonny abused her and the other young women who worked for him.  She could open Kristina's eyes to the fact that her father gave drugs to and intimidated underage girls into having sex with him.  This is how Sonny gained his power and money.  Kristina could confide in Michael and they could both come to realize that Sonny is the scum of the earth.

ScorpiosRule I agree 1000% with your post.  They have turned the character of Anna Devane into a pathetic mess.  Anna Devane has always been a badass character and what TPTB have done to her is criminal.  I am now FF thru most of her scenes, especially when Finn is on screen with her. Why is Finn anyway?  I hate his character.  If they wanted ME to stay on the canvas why kill off Silas?  Anna has become a Sonny/Jason worshiper.  Anna Devan should be spending every waking hour trying and succeeding in bringing Sonny and Jason down.

Finally watched Friday’s show and caught this very subtle exchange:

Oscar: We should write down all the things we want to do together while we can!

Me (rolling eyes): Like a bucket list?

Jocelyn (excited): Like a bucket list??

I could write this nonsense.

(I am not proud of that.)

So, when I discover a necklace with half a heart, the first thing that pops into my mind is that I have a child out there somewhere.  Who writes this garbage?  That was the most forced and ridiculous scene in recent memory.  That is a true sign of laziness!

At least Nina/Michelle Stafford tried.  Max, reciting that stupid racing horse story, tried.  Doc Mom not telling her intelligent and mature 16 year-old that he has terminal cancer, tried.  Carly, Jason, Sonny have not tried in conveying why this soon-to-be revealed decades-old corpse is going to be the final nail on the coffin of one - Sonny Corinthos.  Here's a mob boss who has spent three decades in the business and what's so special about this body?  See, these 'Sonny is going away for life' scenes are much more ridiculous because it's not going to happen on the show.  Is Nina going to see her child? - probably.  Is Sonny going to go away to prison for life?- what show have you been watching?

I wanted Julian to rush in and try to save Kristina. But no, it's St. Jason again. And always.

I'm amazed at the ability of this show to suck any excitement out of everything, including a gas leak.  Yawn.  Why is the city emergency service telling Julian they will get back to him? Why aren't they rushing to shut off the gas at the local junction?

I know Spinelli is brilliant  (retch) but 1. how exactly does Curtis know that it was a wire transfer rather than a cash payment? and 2. who keeps 20 year old records?  Those were the days before keeping data was so cheap.

Why was it St. Jason? Because Kristina is Sonny's daughter or because Kristina is Sam's sister?

Because it's St. Jasus.  He saves all, except for Sonny's enemies because they deserve what they get.

It's interesting how they're deliberately avoiding any connecting of Julian to Alexis in this.  When he told Kristina he didn't want to hire her, he says it's because he doesn't want to anger Sonny.  Not even a phone call to his ex Alexis to give her the heads up.  Avoiding the most obvious connection smell like BTS.

But there would be absolutely no edge of your seat fervor if Julian went in and there was an explosion.  This way we all sit with bated breath until tomorrow to see if Jason (and Kris) come out of the explosion alive.  My stomach is in knots worrying.

THIS!  Oh look, half a necklace (that has been proper cut I might add), that must mean my miscarried baby is alive.  Oy.  Also, I got annoyed that Nina kept talking about the baby as a baby and at no point acknowledged that this baby is now a 25 year old woman.  Nina's going to be disapointed when that realization comes to her, and she can't smother, i mean mother a baby.

Age is no factor when it comes to smothering. Look at Michael and Carly.

Michael's letter from Nelle wasn't stamped or postmarked, so I guess she just chucked it through the prison's porthole to the PC wormhole and hoped for the best. I know that's a minor nitpick, but if you're going to show me a letter with Michael's full address, take the five extra seconds to throw a stamp in the corner for accuracy's sake. I think Nelle overplayed her hand by mentioning Wiley, but Michael will probably be furrowing his brow in confusion over that line for the next several weeks, so whatever.

Which is more pathetic, Sonny talking about being stupid and headstrong as a young baby gangster as if he's one bit different now, or Jason admitting the business is the only place that he feels effective? I despise these periodic chats between Sonny and Jason where they stroke each other's ego and glamorize their great brotherhood of criminality. And newsflash, Jason, the only way Sonny respects your "power to make [your] own choices" is because you handed your free will over to him decades ago and never looked back.

Kristina wasting precious breath to direct Jason to help her conceal Mike's crime is so Sonny it's not even funny.

I really wish Jason would go ahead and admit that being a mobster with Sonny and Carly is where he is happiest and he doesn't want the day-to-day responsibility of his children. It would make Sam and Liz's lives a whole lot easier.

I mean, if Julian hadn't bought the bar and if he hadn't wanted to expand and forced Sonny's hand into needing to get that dead body moved, Sonny's poor Alzheimer's-riddled father wouldn't have had to come up with a plan to find and move the body again. And Kristina never would have been in danger if Julian hadn't hired her, to spite Sonny of course.

It's all Julian's fault, see?

Wow. Just wow. That whole “Charlie’s Place” is full of gas and going to blow up today was so badly written, badly acted and predictable. Just blow up the entire town and be done with it finally. And what utility puts someone on hold after they’ve reported a GAS LEAK?

When will Jason ever get it thru his brain damaged skull that the Quartermaines were not evil in trying to help Jason after his accident/  Yes they made mistakes in dealing with his injuries, but they tried their best.  They were trying to help him recover and to keep him safe because he was doing impulsive things that endangered him.  Sonny was willing to let him do what he wanted because all he cared about was sticking it to the Q's.  He manipulated (stole) Jason away from his family and turned a brain damaged pre-med student into his own personal hit man.

The utility would not put them on hold.  Ten years ago some ice fell off the roof and damage a gas pipe outside my bedroom window.  I was blissfully unaware of this until the firemen broke down my front door.  I was still sound asleep when two firemen grabbed me out of my bed.  I kept begging them to let me get dressed ( I also screamed some obscenities) but no , they dragged me out while I was in my ratty but comfy jammies.  The EMTs were there and with oxygen and a ride to the ER.   I stayed  in the hospital overnight for observation and when I came home I had a brand new front and storm door.  I was so lucky and grateful.  So, no they do not put you on hold for a gas leak.
