holy hell, did I enjoy seeing the shots of Jerry Jones looking like he was sucking on the pieces of shit he should be eating on a daily basis.

With his lame duck groupie (emphasis on lame) Chris Christie sitting right next to him.  That troll should try a similar shit diet--may be better for his figure than the nachos we typically see him shoveling.

I thought that tonight's game between the Falcons and Seahawks was a high flying entertaining game. I thought that Russell Wilson played great as usual. I am always impressed with how talented he is and how hard he works. Tyler Lockett also had some pretty good runs for Seattle's offense tonight. Though Pete Caroll made a gamble with the fake field goal in the first half and it ended up coming back to hurt the Seahawks.

Speaking of kickers, why don't punters and kickers learn the basics of each other's discipline? The Eagles had a linebacker kicking off when their regular kicker had to sit out because of a concussion. Going from kicker to punter might be tricky because of the long snap, but one would think a punter could easily learn how to pound the stuffing out of a stationary ball for kickoffs.

I always love those reaction shots they show of Skeletor when the Cowboys are taking a beating!

It is always a good day when the Cowboys lose like they did on Sunday Night. Jerry Jones is not as smart as he thinks he is. Cowboys fans would be better off if Jones would show as much passion about winning football games & championships as he does showing off his masterpiece stadium (Jerry World), going after Roger Goodell, & always having his team worshipped on ESPN & Fox Sports 1 on an every day basis. Just like his team, Jerry Jones is a definite loser.

ESPN is reporting that the Broncos have fired their offensive coordinator Mike McCoy:

Speaking of losers, It took the Broncos 10 games to realize that Mike McCoy sucks & that he should never ever work in the NFL in any capacity ever again. Hopefully, another team won't make that mistake. I'm still mad at him & those Chargers for messing up the Browns going for 0-16 in week 16 last December.

The Cowboys may suck, but I wish that ESPN & Skip Bayless would leave Rod Marinelli (Defensive Coordinator) alone. I will always be indebted to him forever for leading the Detroit Lions to 0-16 in 2008. Other than helping a team win a Super Bowl, he can do no wrong for me in the NFL.

You would think that most NFL kickers--whether a placekicker or a punter--handled all the kicking duties at least on the high school level.

There's actually some separation even at that level. Much like QBs, there are HS camps that specialize in developing punters and kickers as separate disciplines.

Typically though they still work as a unit and there would be some overlap and practice even in the pros in the other discipline.

It is surprising they did not have the punter do kick off duties.

Jimmy Johnson does not belong in the Pro Football HOF.  Surprised he is even a semifinalist.

ANd I was a die hard Cowboys fan of that era (but no longer).  He had like 3 good years and the rest was mediocre to crap.

Will be interesting to see how they sort the WRs.  All three of Moss, Owens and Hines Ward will get in over the next five years, and they should, but not sure in what order

Edgerrin James should get in based on the 12000 yard rules.  Every RB in history over 12000 yards rushing is that has been eligible has made the HOF.

Ray Lewis will be in first ballot.

He only had two losing seasons and went to the playoffs 6 out of 10 years coaching. Add two Lombardi trophies, and he'll probably get in eventually.

What are the odds in our new world the voting committee makes a statement and doesn't vote Lewis in on the first ballot?

In other news, there are more than eight worthy candidates here. ‘Cept you, Lewis.

Should Randy Moss and TO go in together, or in separate years so they don't share the spotlight?

Do they announce semifinalists, etc. for the "Other Contributors"?  Because my own hill to die on is the longtime voice of the Patriots, The Legendary Gil Santos.

He had a .550 career record overall, had only 4 10 win seasons overall and only 2 division titles in 10 years.  He was very mediocre in Miami, never won a division title there.

He lost his last game, in the playoffs, 62-7.  Also Marino's last game.

Dave Wannstedt with Jay Fiedler at QB had a better record than him over his next 4 years than Johnson did with Marino.

The Vikings did a nice job today in their win against the Lions. Case Keenum continues to play well. (And I thought that he should not have gotten that penalty for taunting.) I think that the Vikings will win their division and I am interested in seeing how far they go.

Also, I hate to say it but I think that the Cowboys season may be over. With these last 3 losses they would have to run the table and hope that other teams falter in order to make the playoffs. I originally thought that 9 wins could get them in, but not anymore. There are too many NFC teams that will surpass 9 wins. Heck 10 may not even be enough and they can't possibly win more than that. Zeke's absence really hurt this team and so has Sean's Lee's injury. Dak has been really struggling without Zeke. He has been looking very uncomfortable without Zeke.

I also wonder if the Chargers may end up making the playoffs. The other teams in their division are struggling right now. Maybe they will sneak in there.

I think that the defense may be tired because they have to be on the field for longer periods of time. The offense hasn't generated much of anything in these last three games and that is forcing the defense to stay on the field much longer than they should have to be out there. They aren't stellar, but they have shown they can hang in there if they aren't on the field for too long. I actually think they have been playing better than the offense has these last few games. They were roughing Matt Ryan up pretty hard in the 1st half of the ATL came. ATL probably would have scored more if they hadn't been getting to him as much in the first half.  They also did a good job of containing Carson Wentz in the first half of last week's game. Until things got out of hand partly because the offense couldn't generate much of anything.

IMO, this is more on the offense, including QB play. I really like Dak, but he has not been playing well these past three games. The first couple of games he didn't have Tyron Smith, but in this game he was protected a lot better. But he's really struggling without Zeke. He definitely seems to feel more comfortable when the run game is going well. I think he may need to break out of the pocket and run more himself, and try and create plays. I believe that would make him feel more comfortable. He's done that in the past, when things weren't going so well in the passing game, he'd run, make a play and get back on track.

Dak may miss Zeke, but they aren't being helped by Crazy Jerry's antics.  If Zeke would have taken his suspension as it was issued, he would be back by now.  That's because Crazy Jerry had to insert himself.  And, while I really like Tony Romo as a fan-friendly announcer, I think I heard him apologize for Jerry, saying how much he LOOOOVES football.  Jerry loves money, fame, and himself, in any order.  Step away from the cray-cray, Tone, he ain't paying your salary any more.

I thought that one of the better games today was the Panthers/Jets game. I am glad that Carolina won, but I also liked seeing the Jets continue to play competitive football. Robbie Anderson has been impressive for them this season.

I thought that Bills got a nice win today against the Chiefs and they are back in the hunt for a playoff spot. I also thought that the Rams did a really nice job today against the Saints. They now have their first season over .500 in over a decade. Sean McVay is really doing a good job with them. I was also glad that Oakland won today. They have been struggling but they did enough to get the win against the Broncos. I do not care for Aqib Talib and his antics. I'm not surprised that things boiled over between him and Michael Crabtree. He snatched Michael's chain last season and did it again today in their fight.

The Packers/Steelers game ended up being much more competitive than I thought it would be. Brett Hundley played much better this week and helped keep the Packers in it. Antonio Brown did a really good job of making big plays for the Steelers and helping them pull out the win.

And after today's games, the 49ers, Browns and Giants are officially eliminated from playoff contention for this season.

Brett Hundley played extremely well.   The Steelers receivers apparently forgot how to catch the ball over the Thanksgiving holiday.

Rams are doing great.   Jared Goff is doing well.  Case Keenum is playing well.   Yet, somehow, Jeff Fischer is still being considered for HC jobs.

Speaking of which, how does Andy Reid still have a job?   Between his known history of poor clock management and his failure to consistently win games after a bye, you have to wonder how he keeps his job.

I think you have it backward about his post-bye-week wins. He's the best in the NFL post-bye, with a 16-3 record (after the Giants loss).

I'm not an Andy Reid fan, and completely agree with you about his poor clock management over the years, but he has the 10th most wins of any head coach ever. Yes, his win percentage is "only" 60%, but that puts him above many currently revered guys like Sean Payton, Pete Carroll, and John Harbaugh.

Consistently going 9-7 will get you pretty far in the NFL.

Pagano is a dead man walking right now.  5 weeks of waiting the inevitable.

The only reason he still has a job is because the Colts have known for several weeks its a lost season and the reason of the staff is as bad as he is, so no one to replace him and no point in doing so.  Ballard will want to bring in his own guy after this season so they are just letting him play it out.

Week after week, its the same things.  Double digit lead they blow in the 4th quarter.

If those crazy loons in Tennessee can get Greg Schiano fired before he gets hired how do I rally the fans to get Ben McAdoo canned?

It was Eli’s decision to not start, which ends the streak at TWO HUNDRED TEN GAMES, because that idiot told him he basically wouldn’t finish the game because he wants to give Geno (why?!?) and Davis a chance.

Fuck McAdoo.  They should have bounced his ass three weeks ago.

  • Love 9

That is an awful decision

I haven't watched the Giants much this year but the idea Eli being benched for Geno, a bad QB, is just preposterous

I realize Eli has his faults, but he is still a quality starting QB in this league with a ton of experience.

This will be a repeat of the Bills a few weeks back.  Who is making these dumb decisions for NY football teams.

  • Love 2

I cannot believe it.   You want to evaluate Geno Smith?   Umm, not enough tape already on him as a starter?    So you bench your starter, thinking it will HELP things?   This shows McAdoo has no clue what he is doing and is just throwing darts at a chart on the wall.   I can only hope John Mara calls up McAdoo and tells him he has lost his damn mind and to put Eli back in the line up.

Remember how Eli wound up with the Giants in the first place.    His statement was classy today.   But watch out.   This will NOT end well.

The funny thing is that rational people like Bomani Jones are saying things like “c’mon, he hasn’t been that good for like five years” and that is entirely fair but it’s like that ugly Marlins statue in the outfield.

You might not like it and wish it weren’t there, but as soon as someone tries to take it away you’ll fight tooth and nail to keep it.

He’s MY bad quarterback, dammit.  He helped beat the Patriots not once but TWICE.  That’s why he’s a legend, man.
