It's a streaming service, not a TV channel.  There are some ads on there I've never seen on regular TV, so you might indeed be spared.

I believe the commercials are for Cottonelle toilet paper, a mainstream product.  I'm sure you'll see it eventually.

This product has been around for decades (30+ years per google). Why is this suddenly an issue?

This has been bugging me for a while. In the Kohler walk in bath commercial, there are two ladies taking a walk and talking about the bath. At the end one of them says. "The grandkids are coming over for their weekly spa day." Like, what? "Hey kids, it's time to go to grammies and grampies for your baths." Not too weird. Jeez.

I haven’t seen that one, but maybe the grandkids’ “thing” is playing with rubber duckies and bath crayons in gramma’s “fancy” tub? Meanwhile mom and dad have date night, so win-win?  That’s my positive spin on it, anyway.

Yeah, she does have a pretty bathroom and the tub has all kinds of bubbles and jets, so I can see the kids liking "spa" time during their weekly visit to their grandparents' house.

If my parents had taken me to grandma's house to take a bath, I would have been creeped out as hell. Unless they're babies, then what's the point of calling it a "spa day" ?

It doesn't sound to me like they're going there just for a bath, but that it's a weekly visit to the grandparents, and they call it "spa day" now that the fancy tub is in because the kids like playing in the bubbles/jets as part of that.

I keep seeing this generally sweet ad about an adopted teen that wants a pet cat but the mom is allergic. So in the end the kid is totally happy with a gerbil running on a wheel.  (The ad has a tagline "you don't have to be perfect, to be a perfect parent. AdoptUSKids.org")

I'm sorry, but a hamster is no substitute for a cat.

A good 25% of the people I know with cats are allergic to them.  (Maybe Mom's reaction is too severe, fine, and good for him loving his gerbil, of course.  It's just not accurate that if someone is allergic, the option is automatically off the table.)

It's not, but if the mom is severely allergic, medication probably won't help and a hamster may be the best they can do.

I just saw one of these and it had me so weirded out that I had to come here to see if anyone else saw it. It is in a dentist's office and a woman starts talking about "down there care". there's a commercial for Pigeon Forge and this family has just come back from there. 

a little girl friend asks him how it was and they show scenes of him having the time of his life and he tells her it was ok. 

and then his mom tells the girl the truth that he loved it and the boy scowls at her. 

what is this supposed to mean? that he was so sensitive to the little girl's feelings that he was downplaying it?  right.......

I cannot say I've seen that commercial, but I've seen one for a Crest toothpaste user who so is enthused about seeing his dentist (I always remember Steve Martin in Little Shop of Horrors and the ep of Married with Children in which Darcy's dentist has her photo on a wall labelled "customer of the month") that he broke into the office and sat in an exam chair, waiting for the dentist to arrive at work.

Did you see the original movie with Jack Nicholson as the weird dentist patient? He was truly demented.

I don’t get the Infiniti commercials: one is a guy who gets in the car and texts “I love you guys” and they pat him on the back, the other is a woman in an evening gown in front of a theater and she says to herself “you can do this “. I looked it up and it says the guys are groomsmen for a wedding and the one with the woman is about an actress but I have seen these commercials many times and it was never made clear.

I did guess the woman was receiving some kind of award but couldn’t figure out the guys at all.

I have seen the four men in a car commercial and didn't understand it either.  I call them the Douchebag Quartet.

Glad to know they're on their way to fun and frolic at someone's wedding.  Is it clear who the "I love you guys" message is from, the groom or bride?

I’m sure that it’s but nothing about that commercial tells me they are going to a wedding. If anything, it looks like the one guy did a big business deal or something and the other guys supported him. Same with the lady in an evening gown one; what is she so nervous about? Why is she alone ?

At the beginning of the commercial with the four men, the guy who texts asks one of the others, "Did you remember the rings?"  So I assume it is the groom asking the best man.  The others are groomsmen.  So the groom is sending a text to them telling him he loves them.  They are heading to the wedding.

Seems like it's one of those ads that assumes that everyone saw the longer version and was paying close enough attention to hear a quick, seemingly throw away line.  But don't worry; I love you guys!  😁

Now I’m wondering if there is a longer ad with the Infiniti one where the woman pulls up and she sees herself in the real view mirror saying “You got this”. It looks like she is in front of a theater but what is she nervous about? If she is getting an award you would think she would arrive in a limo and she can’t be acting in a play because she is dressed in formal wear.

The one with the men is obvious. The groom texted his friends, the groomsmen,  that he loves them because saying it isn't considered manly or he was too chocked up to say it.

 

I'm not sure I recognize the one with the woman, but I remember hearing "you can do this" for some reason.

The ad I have seen says nothing about rings or them being groomsmen. In fact I wondered if the guy had won some business deal or something. It seems like there are two versions of that ad and I am only seeing the shorter one.
