Red Bridey February 3 Share February 3 I like the Special K commercial with the tiny Asian woman living her life, being strong and self-sufficient because she eats her healthy cereal. It's odd because it's a grey-toned ad that at first I thought was going to be a PSA for some religion or a Life Alert kind of service, but instead, it's, "Eat this and you will be able to live life." I'm impressed. 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/2715-favorite-commercials/page/154/#findComment-8571360

That's interesting because just a few days ago I watched an episode of "History's Most Shocking" on the History Channel and it featured a video of 2 women whale spotters that were swallowed by a whale accidentally and were spit out. It happened on a whale spotting expedition where people went out in small boats to get up close to the whales, I forget where. Interesting coincidence! Yeah No February 14 Share February 14 34 minutes ago, Shrek said: I guess we don't taste good to whales if they keep spitting us out, must not like pork either then. It's actually that hump back whales' mouths and throats are not designed to be able to swallow or break down humans or any large creature so that's why they spit us out. They feed on small fish that swim in huge schools. It's only when humans get close to them when they're feeding on those fish that they accidently get scooped up along with them. I learned that from watching that show. 3 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/2715-favorite-commercials/page/154/#findComment-8580918

In the last 5 years or so, commercials have been using either late 50s, early 60s rock and roll songs, which I think are either obscure old songs or new songs made to sound like they're from that era. While I have no opinion of that music, I like it in commercials. mbluecpa March 11 Share March 11 I saw an Instacart commercial last night that was the best one I’ve seen in a while. A couple disagrees on storing ketchup in the pantry vs the fridge. The dialog (husband: “baby, your momma didn’t raise you right”) and punch line (husband orders two bottles on a 2 for 1 Instacart special and labels one “pantry” and the other “fridge”) is funny to me. It’s only 30 seconds but the actors have a playful chemistry. 3 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/2715-favorite-commercials/page/154/#findComment-8604035

KWalkerInc March 15 Share March 15 I enjoy the ad for the Granite Stone cookware set. The voiceover asks if you are tired of yelling at your pans, and a woman promptly puts her hands on her head and lets out a dramatic scream (but not so loud that it would startle anyone that had the TV on as background noise). It is wonderful infomercial-level acting. Later, after she has bought the Granite Stone, she has a different hairstyle, perhaps to show that she isn't as frazzled now. When the voiceover is pointing out the virtues of non-stick cookware, she helpfully takes a cookie sheet out of the oven and makes all the cookies flip in the air to demonstrate. Plus, it has the requisite visual of a little honking truck to indicate free shipping, because of course no one would otherwise understand such a "difficult" concept. This ad always makes me laugh and is a relief from the generic Viagra ad that usually airs for the entire ad break late at night. 3 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/2715-favorite-commercials/page/154/#findComment-8607764

What cracks me up is them pulling pans out of a presumably hot oven with their bare hands. Then there is a stock pot they take out of the oven with a cooked chicken half in the pot, feet up, with carrots stuck around it. 🤣 There is another company with the same products.
