Another fund-raiser goes wrong, as Thomas realizes Kathryn must get a hobby, thereby decreasing his campaign stress. Elsewhere, Shep intervenes to help Craig on the eve of Cooper and Landon's fashion show, and Whitney vows to avoid Kathryn.

Landon's a bitch. It's not New York fashion week? Ok then why are you even bothering to work the "little" fashion show?

I heart Shep. Whitney is totally the scorned woman here - he's so in love with that douchebag politician guy.

Dayum, Craig looked good in that fashion show, but then he usually does.  Too bad he’s a mess and in denial, although Shepistotle's method of helping was antagonizing. LOL again at Shep’s selfie stick arms.  Cam’s orange show dress was pretty, she has really good dress style. Rest was blah.

Shep saying Craig graduating from law school was like the prison sentence was over... he may be onto something. Maybe Craig was doing the law school bit to please his parents? Do what he thought was expected of him as the oldest? Whatever it is, he's ready for an episode of Hoarders. God bless Shep for caring and wanting to help him.

Those people came to Thomas' house for the food, for the house porn, and to be on TV. Kathryn, didn't eat....drank....and dressed poorly for the occasion. She complains when being ignored, yet when asked by Amy to join them walking and talking, she said "no, I'll stay here."

Thomas and Kathryn have moved NINE times while she was pregnant? WTF?? Where? Were they together or is she counting the times they split up and moved out? They are on such opposite ends of the spectrum in what they want day-to-day. He enjoys the country life, she wants to be in the city with the noise and the nightclubs, shopping. Reminds me a little of Charles and Diana. Doomed.

Cooper had a hundred more people at his fashion show than Thomas did at both of his fund-raisers combined. Craig really does have a model look about him.

And yes, Thomas is the last person to be giving Craig advice about life.

Ok, tonight's episode just solidified my love for Shep! So far, I enjoy all aspects of Shep--the crazy party-er, Shep in pursuit of a girl (last season), and now I love this wise, sage Shep.  It was clear that Shep's intentions for Craig are  that he can be a successful lawyer and live the lifestyle that he longs for.  He's only looking out for his friend.  He's so good-natured, and I think the absolute icing on the cake is that Cameran pointed out that he's well-read.

I swoon for Shep!

Landon might want to think about being less disparaging of her friend's established design business considering he was doing her a favor by promoting her not-yet-in-business party planning business.

Patricia was more disparaging, to me, since she is Cooper's good friend. She said something about going to fashion week in Paris and sitting up front near Catherine Deneuve, and now she's going to a bed & breakfast. If I were Cooper, I'd be having a come-to-Jesus talk with dear Patricia.

I think both Patricia and Landon need to be dropped by Mr. Cooper. He seems so harmless but then again, we've been fooled before.

Who smells a Kathryn/Craig team/flirtatious duo set up coming along? Honestly they'd make gorgeous babies.

Seriously, maybe she'd actually have been included in T-Rav's public life more if she weren't such a damned sourpuss all the time. All she seems to do is nag Thomas and look for reasons to berate him and start stupid tiff's---the man's no angel and obviously is easy to be upset with, but good lord, make the best of it and slap on a smile and a more positive attitude if that's the man you're truly hoping to portray a long romantic life and successful political image with!

She doesn't even appear to know how to act remotely fun or hospitable at parties/public events, so no wonder T-Rav makes a point to keep his distance from her at such events so he can go get drunk in a corner with the boys and snicker over her latest melodramatic antics. Whitney was right: she's a bit of a pill/hillbilly femme fatale indeed.

Yes, to all of that, Sun-Bun! When I lived in Richmond, a city much like Charleston only bigger, I was frequently asked by male friends to go with them to high-profile events. I knew how to dress, to laugh politely at men's stupid jokes, not to drink too much, and to compliment the host/hostess. I was in my 20s and didn't have the long-line pedigree that Kathryn does. She must have grown up living under a rock, or else the booze she's consumed during her college days has ripped her brain cells.

Landon grated this episode with her voice, scrunchy face and 'tude.

Shep - nag isn't a good look on you.  Yes, it's nice to show concern about Craig *to* Craig.  But not nice to be telling a bunch of people that Craig is partying too hard, slacking about the bar, and has a messy room.  Leave the gossiping to Whitney.

Craig's face is looking a little methy.

Kathryn, be happy.  No one likes a dour sour flower.

Too much Patricia isn't a good thing.

Jenn needs to grow some eyebrows and Whitney needs to dye his.  Nice that his mommy is making him a scrap book.

I did like the crack though that Thomas' campaign manager looked like Sandy Duncan (The Hogan Family) --- so true!

Who needs a selfie stick (seriously, who? why?) when you have Shep around.

I did love the fact that Cooper's one event had more people at it than the second christening and both of TRav's fundraisers combined!

I am curious about Shep and Cameran's backstory she has mentioned not liking his partying/womanizing but I wonder if they ever got close to dating because they are so adorable together!

Yep, it was quite apparent when, apropos of nothing, they kept having talking heads about how hot they both think the other is and how they have similar partying ways. They would make a better match (if she didn't have a child) as two young people who could go out on the town and have fun together. It's ironic because he had his "kindergarten crush" on her last season and he was the ONLY one in the group that she didn't sleep with, and then he was the one who called her out for sleeping with three people at the table. If Kathryn suddenly thinks Craig is so hot, why did she ditch him on their beach group date last season and leave with Shep? Guess her sstarry-eyed quest for "Ooooh! Thomas Raveneeeeeeel!" didn't work out so well for her. And seconding that her attitude isn't going to land her a bigger role in the campaign or an engagement ring. I would assume people would show a better self in front of the cameras, so if she's this insufferable on air, I can't imagine what she's like behind closed doors! I suppose she and T-Rav think birthing a scion of pure French Huguenot lineage is the be-all and end-all, and if it means a lifetime of absolute misery and strife, oh well, sign me up!

I do slightly sympathize with Kathryn because I think in all her young mother stupidity and jealous insecurity, she honestly doesn't realize how grossly unlikeable she comes across as.

I dated a T-Rav type when I was about her age: much older, charming and good-looking, and a total womanizer. In all my youthful naïveté, I didn't know how to handle my jealousy when he would be flirty with other ladies, and I found myself snapping at him and flouncing off too.

But then he asked me once after our last tiff, "Do you think this makes me *want* to be around you? What are you bringing to the table---would you date you???"

Made me completely reevaluate my entire attitude around men after that and I'm actually glad he turned my nagging wagging finger back at myself.

Seems like T-Rav needs to have a come to Jesus chat like that with Kathryn, if he hasn't already, because that old leopard ain't changing his spots---therefore it's up to her to either put up or shutup if she wants a life with him.

Cameron was right about Shep being so much more attractive with that haircut.  I've always thought he was pretty cute in an overly toothy kind of way, but this episode I was finding him absolutely hot.  Daaaaamn.

I can see why Craig has a hard time taking his friends' concern seriously - well, except Cameran's, because she's not hypocritical at all in her worries for him.  It would be hard to listen to your drunk friends who are constantly joining you for all the partying to tell you you're partying too much.  I don't know what the answer is for him, but I hope he doesn't blow it.  I tried Googling whether or not he passed the bar in February, but couldn't find anything on it.  I hope he did.

Jennifer grosses me out, with her overly oiled up giant plastic boobs.  I don't like her face, either, which I realize isn't her fault, but she is just very ew to me.

I'm looking forward to seeing Tom and Kathryn's new place.  Hate that Cameran didn't get to make a big sale, though.  Boo.

Cameron is such a rare jewel, in that she is effortlessly beautiful, she has great style, a sense of humor, she's intelligent, entertaining, fun, appropriately mature for her age...basically an embodiment of what many people would consider The Whole Package, and yet it's impossible to even be jealous of her.  I just find myself thinking I'm glad things are going well for her because she's pretty awesome, and it's the awesome people I want to see enjoying a good life.  I think that's why I haaaaaate Kim Zolciak's guts so hard - she is the opposite of Cameran in every way and gets to live this lavish life, always by running through someone else's money.  It pisses me off to no end when grotesque human piles of garbage like Kim get everything they want, and then gloat about how they deserve it.  Cameran is ten thousand times the human being Kim is.  Autocorrect keeps changing the spelling of Cameran's name and frankly, I'm tired of going back and fixing it.

I've always wanted to see inside the Palmer House!  Yay!  This show gives me everything I need, and I love it so.

All the sturm und drang about Craig's career seems misplaced to me. If he graduated law school, he's no slouch. He decided to break for a few months and take the exam in Feb. Good for him. He'll settle to it, I'm sure.

If Shep has Selfie Stick arms than Craig has, what we in my family call, "alligator arms". In other words, tiny, short arms that can't reach into his pocket to pay a check.  Kudos for Shep for pointing out that Craig shows up to the  bar with an empty wallet.

Can I just say that I loved, loved, loved the romper that Cameran was wearing at Thomas' "meet the REAL people" fundraiser??  I was absolutely envious of that outfit...so chic and appropriate for the day (as opposed to Kathryn's see through t-shirt and day-glo bra - did she think she was going to a night club with black lights??).

I agree with the poster upthread that said Cameran has great style.  I love all of her outfits - I wonder where she shops?

The romper and the reddish orange dress Cameran wore to the fashion show are by Hunter Bell. Cameran also wears lots of Lily Pulitzer. Kathryn's outfit was ridiculous for a political gathering. She reminds me of Edina from "Absolutely Fabulous " in that she's always wearing expensive designer labels (it's Lacoix, darling) but still looks tacky. The difference is that Edina is a fictional and amusing over the top character while Kathryn is a real and sullen reality show castmate.

Yeah, Craig has lost too much weight.  He has some little stick arms.  Not attractive.  I was able to find the most recent SC bar admissions online and he's not listed.  Couldn't find February. (Oh - Pickles we must have been posting at the same time.  Thanks for that.)

Having YSL emblazoned on your chest where you can see your day-glo orange bra.... what was she thinking? I thought she had 't a stylist helping her while she's on this show?

Even Cameran mentioned you don't dress like that if you want to be taken seriously as a politician's "wife". The girl just doesn't have a clue. I'm surprised Thomas or his campaign manager haven't told her how to dress appropriately for such functions.

Speaking of his teeth, what exactly is going on with them?  They just don't look real; I wonder if he chipped his teeth on too many beer bottles during his party days.  They look like dentures; weird shape and color.  You can see it especially in his TH's.  I still think he's awesome, fake teeth and all!

Cameron always looks amazing and appropriately dressed.  She has good girlfriends as well as guy friends who want to grab a beer and eat greasy food with.  Amazing she started out on the Real World and is still this grounded.

Did everyone notice the woman applying Kathryn's day spackle before the barbecue? I wonder if that was the stylist that Thomas allegedly assaulted?

I did laugh when Kathryn and Amy, aka Sandy Duncan from Hell, were sitting on the porch and Kathryn said that she wasn't some twelve year old and had worked political campaigns before. First, pouting on the porch is exactly what a twelve year old girl would do. Second, I love the way Kathryn talks about her political experience, like she's had a long and storied political career, akin to Tip O'Neill or Bob Dole, rather than a semester here or there before she dropped out of college.

Please, show, I love you but quit trying to make Landon happen.

It appears Sandy Duncan has tried to talk to Kathryn and help her learn the ropes, but Kathryn would rather sit and drink than follow orders.

Yeah, when they tried to include her, she pouted. The girl wastes her beauty on that disheveled look. She's around highly polished women and she just fades away. She looks like the help! and the hillbilly make up is so seriously unnecessary. Talk about gilding a lily. Her upbringing was deficient somehow if she doesn't have an upper class look mastered by this age.

Kathryn needs to want to be like Cameran. Unfortunately, she's more of the Jennifer gold-gilded fake breast school of thinking when it comes to attire and makeup.

Love this!!

You know, I think that the "gold-gilded fake breast school of thinking when it comes to attire and makeup" kind of girl is the kind that TRav likes, so that is why Kathryn dresses like that (I cannot believe I'm actually defending Kathryn, here).

Unless, it is the fact that Cameran can afford to shop at stores like Lily Pulitzer or the boutiques on King Street, and Kathryn's clothing budget runs more to Forever 21 and the outlet malls.

Patricia's pathetic scrapbooks, WTF?!?!

If Whitney's only Smythson Scrapbook worthy achievements are *tabloid* photos of his beard, it is no surprise that she drinks they way she does.

I'm imagining a young Patty flush in the victory of trapping her first meal ticket via her Whitney pregnancy buying the first scrapbook and dreaming of great achievements for her golden boy. God she must hate him, all that climbing for nothing.

Not for nothing!  Patricia lives in the lap of luxury with her own butler to make martinis on command.  I have no doubt she is disappointed that Whitney didn't marry a nice girl (or nice guy, for that matter) and give her grand children.  But she's hardly got nothing to show for her life.  She does whatever she wants, and few can say the same.

The thing is that Caneran has said last season that she shops at resale stores and TJ Maxx. She's got an innate sense of style, and dresses herself appropriately. It would behoove Kathryn to give Cameran a call and find out what she's wearing for an event, and go from there.

Look at Bonnie, Cameran's mother.....she's always dressed nicely. I don't remember much about Kathryn's mother from the one time she was on the show, and we've only seen brief glimpses of her father this season at the fake christening. Kathryn went to good schools, where surely she picked up on how to dress from other girls her own age. But if you are of the mindset that labels and names are more important than wearing the correct ensemble, no one can help you.

I think I would need side-by-side before and after pictures because I have no clue what's different about his hair. However, Shep's maturity shone in this episode, which made him more attractive as, for the first time ever, he seemed an age-appropriate 35 (to my 41 next week). Before this episode, I thought of him as "a kid" in his twenties. In addition to him being concerned about Craig's drinking and career ambitions, there were just so many little details dropped in that set Shep apart from a young guy like Craig: cleaning up after himself, being shocked by the 22-year-old girl (as opposed to hitting on her), knowing the local history, Cameron saying he's well read and very smart when he's sober. It's funny because with T-Rav and Kathryn trying to makeover their images, Shep is the only one who looks better this season instead of worse. (Cameran not included because she's just fabulous always.)

It's real in a reality show sort of way - a bunch of real people tossed together by producers. (Whitney is exec. prod.) TRav really did run for the Senate and got trounced. Some of them really were friends for a long time (TRav and Whitney, Cam and Shep), some met recently (Whitney brought Kathryn into the group. She slept with three of them and chose TRav).

Fun show, in a truly decadent sort of way! lol

Yes, there is some conflict here (mostly between Kathryn and Thomas and Kathryn and Whitney, really).  But it's nothing like flipping tables and yelling "prostitution whore!" and "you stole my goddam house!" and "shut the fuck up!" all the time.
