How are their rights being violated in any way, shape, or form? They are the ones trying to take rights from others.

It’s like I always say: these fundies seem to have no real understanding of comprehension of what Jesus actually said and stood for. He was about love and generosity and acceptance. And he aimed some of his sharpest criticisms at the people who clung to the rules, even when they were wrong or causing harm.

But what can we expect? These people are barely literate and trying to follow a Bible written in a style that’s not easy to follow for modern English speakers (particularly if they’re uneducated).

These people infuriate me. And they don’t do any favors for the people who are more genuine Christ-followers.

Earlier today on another forum a person was asking about what ever happened to "turn the other cheek," and I responded that some Christians think the Sermon on the Mount is woke theology, and they prefer Old Testament punishments.

She’d have a heart attack if she ever met my youngest son. He’s 9, he loves everything rainbow so when we went to Woke Target the other day he was all about the Pride section and we got a few things. I also take him along sometimes for mani/pedis and he usually picks sparkly blue polish. It’s fucking colors. It makes him happy. Nevermind the fact that none of that will/will not make him catch the gay or whatever they think I’m “grooming” him for.

The Jill’s of this world would make fun of him, just like Jesus wants, obvi. They can get fucked.

I feel like so many of these fundie hate queens are just trying to make up for the fact that they have shit lives. The only reason to be pissed off that other people are happy is that you aren’t.

Jill (et al.) have such limited lives. No education, no jobs, no nights out, no mimosas at brunch with girlfriends, no movies, no music, no magazines. Just pregnancy and childbirth and breastfeeding and scrimping and saving and grifting and praying. They don’t even get to enjoy their kids! No impromptu dancing to Taylor Swift in the living room, or seeing the kids in a cute costume in the ballet recital, or buying them a present just to see the look on their little faces, or watching them discover something they love (really love!) for the first time. Just beating and preaching and drudgery and knowing, deep down, that they’re failing their kids by setting them up for the same shit lives they have. So they cling to Jesus and claim it’s all worth it because they’re holier than the gays or career women or the Methodists or whoever. How else would you go on? 

I abhor Jill but I also recognize that Jill’s the broken product of a fucked-up misogynistic system. She’s the symptom, not the disease. Or maybe she’s both, I don’t know. It’s just sad. It’s all just sad.

I wa thinking of Daniel 7:7-9" I was looking until thrones were set up, and the Ancient of Days was seated. His garment was white as snow and the hair of His Head was like clean wool.." but I do agree he looked like the people form that area of the middle east..definitely not blonde with blue eyes.

I feel kind of uncomfortable saying this, but I wonder if Janessa's apparent immaturity is only about the Rods' poor excuse for parenting or if there are more congenital issues than the paediatrician doctors said (per Jill). I guess I always assumed that Jill was lying about the severity of the prenatal issues ('cause Jill is a lying liar who lies), but watching Janessa age (can't quite say grow), maybe the lie was in how miraculously normal she is. 

Or, BME and DBD are craptastic humans who shouldn't be allowed to raise a spider plant, let alone a kid.

That is a public road.  IMO it’s completely unsafe for Janessa to be in that cart (or whatever it’s called)!

I don’t think Janessa has, or has ever had, any disabilities whatsoever.  Who knows what BME is doing to her psyche by treating her like an infant at 5 years of age.
