And, like swtrgrl says, just because they film it, doesn't mean it will make it to air.  We've got 6 months before that which taped yesterday will air.  Could be another set of new writers by then!

Lolll Didn't you point this out before in the S&S thread ?I sure hope not.   Then again,  JJ/Gaby are a legit couple,  if they wanted kids poor Ari would a sister-cousin.  Not that has stopped this show before from being gross when it comes to family genetics but yeah. Just please Days don't kill that baby.

So, catching up and reading all the spec that Theresa may be killed off.  I can't believe this show would be so stupid as to fire one of the best actors on the show, but then Days has done so many stupid and short-sighted things.  But this would be a spectacularly stupid even by Days standards.

In that interview, Martha Madison said that Kate Mansi is an astounding actress, one of the best she's ever seen.

 

Maybe it's all part of her funny nature.  She really comes across as quite funny in that interview.

It's the Salem water, the actors are actually drinking it while on set and it's making them loopy.  This is the only explanation for why legitimately good actors keep acting as if KM is anything but an abomination.  Or perhaps they have some sort of behavior clause to prevent the Chappel/Alfonso, Lucci/Walker, Bergman/Braeden public slamming a of co-workers.  Maybe the show feels that with soaps on their last legs, making the inner disdain public will further hurt the genre.

I'm sure some of the people praising her really do think she's talented, which is fine, I don't have a problem with that. My issue is why is damn near half the cast plus the soap press claiming she's super awesome and amazing and acting personally victimized because she didn't get a Daytime Emmy nomination. You can think she's talented without being so dramatic about it. People that have been on the show far longer than she has have not gotten the level of praise that she and the Crabs pairing have gotten. Why isn't her primarily scene partner Billy Flynn getting as much praise?

KM wasn't as good with JS, in fact she was pretty bad. She wasn't as good with RSW. But with BF as her acting partner she was very good. I agree BF should be praised as well.

In the latest issue of TV Guide, there is an interview with Ali Sweeney promoting her Hallmark movie. In the article, she says:

"As I was easing out of Days, I was shocked at how the young [actors] would show up not having bothered to memorized their lines."

I wonder which young actors she is referring to?

She also said it was a "huge mistake" to kill off Will, especially for the show's 50th anniversary: "It still makes me angry when I think about it."

I think this is just another way for the actors to circle the wagons around someone they all know isn't that talented because the outrage of her not getting an Emmy nomination was just too overwrought to be sincere.  For some reason, KM's fellow actors feel this absurd need to prop her up--I don't think any of us will actually understand it.

Hell she propped by the whole damn cast!   Even actresses and actors that are better than her that includes the winner of the Emmy Mary Beth Evans and even True O Brien.

I wonder if Will stays dead if Alison Sweeney would ever return for another visit?  She was angry that they were killing Will, but she returned for the funeral because she felt it would be worse for Sami not to be at the funeral.

I wouldn't be surprised if Allison made Will's return her one big stipulation... But then again she might equally insist on EJ coming back. Who knows? All I feel confident in saying is that she probably has the clout at this point having been on the show for so long and having left at arguably the height of her popularity.

Time (and, perhaps, less than perfect surgery) looks like it is finally catching up with Deidre Hall. It'll catch up to all of us, "help" or not, though. However, on the other hand, looking at that picture of Wally Kurth, Billy Flynn, and Mary Beth Evans, it's hard to believe MBE is 55. She looks great!

Which is why - IMO - aging naturally is the way to go. That said, I know acting is a tough business for older women, too, so they do what they feel they need to do.

Don't forget Judi Evans and Suzanne Rogers.   They still looks faboosh!! 

I do think DH is doing a lot of filler and botox.   Maybe an eyebrow lift.

Yet it's the soap business.   You have to stay young looking and beautiful as long you can.

Wally Kurth has always been adorable, IMO, and he's always refreshing onscreen. Sadly, I draw the line at GH these days, or I'd be catching up with him as Ned. And, like SN and Charles Shaughnessy [hard to spell his name], he's aging wonderfully.

MBE is like a kind of reverse Dorian Grey--she seems to be a really good, nice person, and she has the face she deserves. So Suzanne Rogers, no work? I didn't realize that.

I was just shocked by Deidre's look, especially with her hair pulled back..I look at her twin and she looks fantastic as she is growing older..I know that she no longer acts and that also plays a role..I think that it is sad that women have to do that to themselves, while the men can do what they want..Wally is definitely older now, but, he is still so damn handsome, that smile and especially those dimples...lol He just has more wrinkles on his face, which I attribute to  the California sun...It doesn't take away from his beauty as a man, in fact, I think it adds to it..Charles still has it as well..I love the twinkle in his eyes when he smiles...Have you guys seen Stephen Nichols shirtless..Yowza...He can still get it...

Deirdre Hall is over botoxed.  I have nerve damage and spasms in my face, and I get Botox for medical reasons...I don't know why people do this to themselves for cosmetic reasons.  It just does not look natural at all. But I guess she would rather look like that than have a wrinkle. I find that odd, because I would be ecstatic to have my face behave and age normally.  But I am not on tv, I guess.  Mary Beth Evans looks beautiful and natural.

MBE's husband IS a plastic surgeon. Who does very well for himself. They fell in love and married young. I think he actually likes her as she is and my observation is she also has good genes , so he's advised her against any work. If she's had any it's very subtle, since she looks as she always has. Just a teeny bit older.

Which is a huge problem for this show. Because when things really suck, changing course takes forever to do which means lower viewership.

Other soaps tape about a month out. Days should give everyone a nice long break, then resume taping to be on a similar schedule.
