Hello, I'm a long time lurker and first time poster. Like most I came for the snark and also kinda a kooky thought I had. While reading on of the threads, a line of conversation came up about what Whitney has trademarked/how her weight seems like an optical magic trick where people either says she looks bigger or smaller. Decided to look up the video that "thrust" her into the limelight and compare this video of her then and photos of her now. - I know ya'll are wondering why, I'm asking myself the same thing- After looking through, she honestly does look nearly the same size. Maybe a bit more bottom heavy. Then I asked myself why, most forum users and myself, seem to think she's gained weight since the seasons have gone on? I came to the realization that it's probably because compared to this video and even the 1st season she doesn't seem active. All we see her do is lounge, heehaw, eat, and talk about herself. She can't even put forth the effort to play into the charade she cast herself in to get this show.

Yo you may have a point; we’d never see her making a vid like this, such as it is, these days. But she still looks much, much bigger to me. Her arms, her thighs, her apron, all look bigger now, to me. 

Also, it occurred to me that I’ve never watched this original video. This silly thing is what catapulted her to five seasons of cable-tv reality stardom? Goodness, TLC.

I was surprised that Todd looked so good. He doesn't appear to be doing his usual posing and flailing. (Perhaps I based that judgment on the choreography Whitney had done for BGDC.)

There is no way she can do most of those moves in her present state.

Agree, she can hardly dance now and back in the day she could move better--although none of it real dancing.

Other than MBFFL she had no job. She got the TLC gig, however, in a roundabout way from a job she had as "Producer Whitney" for a radio show hosted by Heather's then-husband. (All these relationships are damn near incestuous.) The radio jocks put together a YouTube video of"Fat Girl Dancing" with Todd for a laugh. The video went viral & that's how Twit made her way to MBFFL.

After her reaction to being in Indiana for what - one week? two? I have to wonder how on earth she managed to survive in Korea and part of me wonders if THAT is yet another big, fat, fabulous, LIE. Was she in Korea for just the one year? That part just really doesn't add up to me AT. ALL. You were half the globe away from home for a year but being a few states away for a week is too traumatic, you have to run home in the middle of the night.

In case any one wants to hate watch Whitney a little more, watch her Tedx talk. It is like a freshman Remedial English Speech presentation. So..ARTICULATE.

Especially awkward .. when she makes some kind of canned statement that is supposed to be funny and then she pauses for laughter...and there is none. Only bored/annoyed people sitting there with crossed arms and Blank stares.

Speaking of Roy, yesterday, on the Maney, Roy and Lauren show, Roy told his radio audience he was gay. Whitney publicly claimed to "have Roy in the bag," and accused him of lying to her about being in a relationship and of leading her on when he didn't respond to her advances. She even posted an outburst on Facebook  entitled "When he's tryna play, but you have receipts" where she waved her phone around and attempted to prove he was cheating with her on his current relationship, based solely on the number of times he'd texted her.  While he tried to let her down graciously, he made several on-air comments that indicated he was surprised and offended by her claiming he had tried to play her. I hope she's feeling appropriately embarrassed and apologetic, but I'm fairly sure she is, instead, feeling indignant and victimized.  Between this and the Avi ghosting, she's getting a good lesson in the difference between "he's playing hard to get' and "he's trying to get as far away from you as he can." For her own sake, I hope she learns it.

Maybe--she saw the end coming with Lennie when he didn't answer her ten calls that one night, and since she thought Roy was already in love with her, she didn't care who she was with as long as she was the center of their world. It's an easy mistake to make--things are going bad with your partner, someone else is giving you lots of attention (this was Whitney's assumption, anyway), might as well give them a try and go back to the honeymoon phase again rather than figure things out with your partner.

I hope Roy is getting the support he needs. My sister came out last year and lives in that area-ish, and she's had a lot of support but also a lot of trauma. I came out myself last year as well, but I live in California and have had nothing but support, so it's been relatively easy for me.

Roy is very young, like 25 years old, maybe 22 and he just told his father like two weeks ago.  So naturally, he didn't want to come-out on her show.  But it floored me (even though I'm way older than he is lol) that he was gay, but like you just said, I think he's got a lot of friends and his family in Ronourke, VA that loves and accepts him as they always have.  I'm also glad that you are getting the love and support as well Monagatuna.

I've been a bit behind and starting to catch up to this season... A couple thoughts:

1.  She quit smoking?  Since when?  I thought she went through a pack a day.

2.  I'm scared for Buddy's life.  He seems to be struggling just breathing and talking.  He sounds very congested.

3.  Please don't show any more of this fake BGDC.  Her "dancing" is literally her jiggling her butt.  If that's dancing that is supposed to be her so-called "career", every girl at a club is a professional dancer.

4.  This whole Avi thing has got to be fake, right?  RIGHT???!!!

5.  When she sat down on the couch at the bridal shop in only her bra and underwear... CLASSY!  BTW, how is it possible that she's only wearing her bra and undies and it still looks like she's more clothed than me?

Wasn't there a whole big deal with him claiming he had a girlfriend and thus couldn't be into Whitney? And she accused him of making it up (and not realizing that if a guy is making up a girlfriend it's an even redder flag he's not into you)? Either way, it definitely didn't come across that she knew he was gay.

She has two "best friends" that are gay.  I'd think of all people, she'd be equipped to figure out if someone was gay or not.  I think either 1.  She's so desperate for love, she completely just ignored it or 2. The show faked the whole thing for ratings and she went along with it.

I think she believes her more outrageous behaviors  are funny and charming. And when people, especially men, don't respond favorably, she chalks it off to fat prejudice, because she doesn't understand that those behaviors are actually extremely vulgar or offensive or inappropriate in the context.  No, Whitney, it is not "fat prejudice" that causes me to be horrified at your behavior. If my skinny-as-a-rail niece, on my trip with her and her mother to a fancy bridal salon to try on wedding gowns, had marched out of the dressing room in her panty and bra and attempted to join us on the couch for a break while complaining how much she was sweating,, her mother and I would have hustled her back into the dressing room and probably called 911 on the theory that she was having a pre-marital nervous breakdown.
