Arrgh I keep forgetting this airs a day earlier in Canada and open it up to see posts about stuff I haven't seen yet.  Might it be possible to have a sticky at the top with a reminder about that?  I think I've seen that on other show forums - basically - "read at your own risk after x-day because other people have seen it already"?  Or is that a "me" problem?  @SilverStormm are you the mod for this show?  Sorry to post in the media thread but I couldn't figure out a more appropriate one, like scheduling.  Maybe I didn't look far enough back.

I thought the show airs on Tuesdays in both Canada and the US? My google searches keep saying the episodes air on CBC Tuesdays at 9/930pm.

Oh my bad! Looks like it does air on Tuesdays.  I just never get a chance to watch it until a day or two later. As Emily Litella said, (or was it Roseanne Rosadanna?) never mind!

Yes, the show now airs on Tuesday nights in both Canada and the United States. It's the only season that the show has aired on the same night in both countries. In previous seasons, the show aired differently in each country so I put an "unaired USA" tag on each episode thread beforehand and then went back and removed the tag after the episode aired in the United States.

Wow - so perfect! I desperately hope we haven't seen the last of this entire cast working together as these characters. And I'm seriously heading over to do Google search, hoping that Noah Reid has other music available for download. I need to hear more of that smooth voice.

He has a new album just released a couple of weeks ago. He sounds great!

Congratulations to everyone working on Schitt's Creek for their multiple Emmy nominations this morning, including Outstanding Comedy and acting nods for Catherine O'Hara, Eugene Levy, Annie Murphy and Dan Levy, covering all 4 of the comedy acting categories.

An odd note - in watching the local news covering the nominations, I noted that the list of comedy shows shown was in alphabetical order except for this show, which was moved to the bottom of the list. Then, as the anchor was reading the list of nominees, he stopped before saying "Schitt's Creek," the final name on the list. It was probably just an oversight, but I can't help wondering if there's some concern regarding actually saying the title and having viewers or watch groups write letters objecting to the language.

I remember a few years ago, Eugene Levy (or maybe it was Daniel) was on The Late Show plugging the show, and Stephen Colbert explained that he was only allowed by CBS to say the name of the show when the show's logo was displayed on the screen (or probably the other way around - whenever he said the name, they had to go in and edit it to superimpose the logo).

Interesting that they chose to submit Dan and Annie in supporting. For Canadian awards, they've normally been nominated as leads — and then lost to Eugene and Catherine. Usually I hate Category Fraud, but I love Schitt's Creek so I'll be a hypocrite and allow it.

The Emmy submissions are being announced over at Gold Derby. Annie submitted "The Presidential Suite" for her episode; definitely a good choice acting-wise. I just hope it's not too serious/not as funny as the competition.

Catherine submitted "The Incident," which...is a strange choice. There are at least half a dozen episodes I would have picked for her before that one. She barely has anything to do in it, and it's not really about her character. Hopefully the voters are familiar enough with her work and have seen enough of the other episodes (the number of nominations the show received overall would indicate that's the case) to judge her on more than just that.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe Schitt's Creek is the first comedy to sweep every major award in the comedy.

First comedy, and only the second program (the other was Angels in America) to sweep the main ceremony.

Watching the Emmys and was surprised to see a sweep. Came in to see how fans were reacting to a sweep! Congrats to you, too! (I do not get Pop since my lousy cable provider ditched it years ago, so I have never seen the show. But I do like Catherine O'Hara and Eugene Levy from prior roles!)
