He needs therapy, Comparing himself to OJ Simpson or George Floyd?  His ego is out of control.

I worry that when the cameras go away (and they eventually will) he'll do something crazy just to get attention back on him.

I mean...it's not like there aren't a plethora of more apt and less offensive comparisons (Anthony Weiner? Arnold Schwarzenegger? Jax Taylor?). But of course Tom says the dumbest, most insensitive thing ever.

And Sandoval is on the New York Times. Excepts:

I asked Sandoval why he thought the scandal got so big. “I’m not a pop-culture historian really,” he said, “but I witnessed the O.J. Simpson thing and George Floyd and all these big things, which is really weird to compare this to that, I think, but do you think in a weird way it’s a little bit the same?”

He briefly lived in Miami, that swampy hub of male modeling, where he was photographed by Bruce Weber for one of his infamous Abercrombie & Fitch campaigns. In Los Angeles, he worked as a pool boy at the Mondrian Hotel and as a cater waiter, while booking ad campaigns for Rock and Republic, Ed Hardy and Von Dutch, the early-aughts brands that are apparently coming back now.

So, nobody told her that they have an open relationship, she just thought so.

Last season it was Ally who thought Katie had implied that when Ally told Katie she thought it was weird that Raquel and Sandy were dancing at the Abbey.  (I took Katie's words to mean that they didn't jealously check up on each other or have "rules" about how they had to act when the other wasn't there).  Then at the end of the season in Raquel's final interview she said she had asked Sandy if she could be part of a "throuple" with them and he told her NO.  I'd have loved a scene of him asking Ariana to do that, actually 😂😈

My opinion of Kristen did a complete 180 when she showed up to comfort Ariana.  I could care less about what her ultimate goal was, she was a great help to her.  Yes, bring her back.  It looks like her getting booted from the show (for aiding an abetting what I believe was a stunt that was instigated by Stassi) may have given her a needed wake-up behavior call.  I don't really want to see Stassi - I've never liked her and the nasty way she treated people (although for all her wailing over it, Scheana seems to have inserted herself into the mean girl role quite well), and I don't need to watch her try to make herself the show queen once again.

And under NO circumstances do I need to see the embodiment of lying and destuction that is Jax Taylor or his cornpone partner in crime.

Totally agree. I still say crazy Kristen was the best season  ever,  and it should be noted, she was right about Sandoval. No Jax and Britteny. Ever!

Rachel, Rachel, Rachel. There is no evidence that we know of that Ariana shared that video with anyone. As furious as she was I don't think she'd do that and must know it's illegal to share. If anything, she did Raquel a favor letting her foolish ass know what Sandoval had done. She and that lawyer are in it for the money.

Tom filmed her so he first shared the video right? I don’t understand the part in the claim that said Raquel didn’t have an opportunity to tell her side of the story. She did a separate interview with Andy Cohen after the show. Most of us saw it. I could even make an argument that she was treated better, because she didn’t have to sit on the stage at the reunion and face the wrath of everyone else. Instead she got a one on one with Andy.

Having said that, I do think Bravo milked the story for all its worth in pursuit of ratings. They didn’t care a lick about anyone’s mental health. We’ve seen this on the housewife shows too. Bravo is all about making money. People who go on these shows should be on guard. I expect they have to sign extensive releases/NDAs, which most gladly do in hopes of money and fame.

Speaking of fame, here is one downside. A person can quickly move from famous to infamous.

I appreciate Rachel's candor in saying that she's no longer with Tom and doesn't want to see him.  This whole scenario she's been in has not given her a good look, nor has it done much for Sandoval.  I think we've always known Tom was a bit of a creep, but this just shone a bright light on him.

Lisa has gotten snookered into believing that Sandoval would do something drastic, but demanding that the gang 'say something nice about him' is not going to endear either her or him to the gang.

What Ariana does next is irrelevant, but Katie may still need to be part of the group (I see Ariana leaving LA after the house is sold and having nothing to do with any of them, taking up in NYC with her new beau and creating a new life for herself).

The show in general doesn't have all that much life left in it.  I see it ending after this season for lack of any interest.

Tom didn't share Raquel's videos. Recording Rachel's FaceTime is not sharing. Ariana did by copying at least two videos, and sending them to Rachel to tell her she knew about the affair, and allegedly to others who claimed she sent them to them. Rachel is accusing Tom of not securing the videos in his phone, so Ariana could eventually see them. She also claimed that she didn't know Tom was recording her.

Rachel was at the reunion and faced the wrath of everybody else including Ariana's who called her subhuman, and other horrible things. Lala, and James were aggressive, as well.

The show should end, but Bravo will squeeze at least another season out of it.

Where did you read that Ariana sent the videos to friends?

This was an entire year ago. I think practically to the day?! (Happy Scandovalversary!) so who can recall the exact source when we read countless articles and podcasts and social media posts every day for weeks/ months. But I remember hearing that, too. I think even Scheana maybe said she saw the video from Ariana. I think Scheana said that’s how she found out on the night she was with Raquel taping WWHL and Ariana contacted her—I think by sending her the video—and that’s when the whole altercation went down with Scheana allegedly punching Raquel. (ETA: actually Ariana called Raquel to confront her, and Scheana found out from coming upon that whole crying/yelling mess. But think she mentioned seeing it another time.) And think even Lala was like, oh, I saw the video. It was like they were all amped up from (and kind of braggadocious about) seeing the evidence with their own eyes before launching into a tirade against Sandoval and Raquel. I think even Ariana bragged about saving and sending out the video. And, for sure, in Sandoval telling his side of the story (probably in that Howie Mandel interview), he said that’s how it all got out—Ariana got ahold of that video and even sent it out to people.

ETA: I’ve done a bit of googling, and all that I can confirm is that as soon as the news broke last year, Rachel’s lawyer sent letters to the whole cast as a cease and desist with sharing the video. It was confirmed that Ariana sent it to herself from Tom’s phone and alleged that she forwarded to the rest of the cast—or at the very least Scheana, with concerns she sent it to others. This is when Lala has her whole “send it to Darrell” (her lawyer) merch. But I think I made up my everyone admitting to having seen it and just went by what the the letter alleged.

It was posted here, and there were several articles about a year ago, and after. It's difficult to find them now, but there is one where Rachel said "some of Ariana’s friends have described the video in great detail online", so she thought they saw it. And she sent cease and desist letters to all cast members to prevent them from sharing the videos.

She could have merely described it to them rather than disseminate it in emails. I'm presuming Ariana is aware of the revenge porn law.

Most people are not aware of the revenge porn laws (which don't exist everywhere), that's why they do it.  She is now, that's why she denies she did it. She thought that she was not responsible for all of the mortgage of the house either, only for her half of the house. She was angry, and I don't doubt she sent the videos. She was furious at the reunion which filmed at least a month and a half after. I don't think she would describe the videos in such detail. Rachel sent cease and desist letters because she knew her videos were circulating.

So am I really the only criminal here?  If I had a friend in a close friend circle who had a dirty affair with my 10-year boyfriend, and she sexted him gross masturbation videos, and that's how I found out - you'd better believe that the first thing I would do would be to send those vids to the rest of the close friend circle!!!

I would probably do it, as well (or not because I might have felt embarrassed to let my friends know he cheated on me, and how), but revenge porn laws apply to everybody.

Do you know that people started using AI to create fake revenge porn photos, and videos?

FindLaw article on the revenge porn suit:

https://www.findlaw.com/legalblogs/legally-weird/why-is-rachel-leviss-suing-vanderpump-stars-tom-sandoval-and-ariana-madix-for-revenge-porn/

Interesting point: "The complaint accuses Madix of showing the videos to other people and/or describing the contents but only suspects Madix sent them to other individuals whose identities are unknown."

It's obvious that this lawsuit will cut Rachel's ties to the show, and Sandoval. I wonder if her suing Sandoval right now has to do with his becoming social media official with his new, model girlfriend. He mentioned on his New York Times magazine interview that he hoped, and probably expected Rachel to rejoin the show next season.

Sandoval didn't compare himself to OJ Simpson, or George Floyd. He meant the story received the same level of coverage.

Mid-season trailer out! https://www.bravotv.com/the-daily-dish/vanderpump-rules-midseason-trailer-ariana-tom-face-off

Aside from the fake Schwartz and Katie dating the same girl storyline, it looks good! (But I'm also a sucker for a good trailer)

Oh geez what a nightmare.  These people are DISASTERS!!!

So I follow Schwartz on IG and I think he let it slip that the reunion was going to be filmed this Saturday. 🤯 Already?!  I guess it's going to be a short season

They filmed this season last year (June to September 2023).

This just made me roll my eyes and realize they're reaching for storylines at this point.
