Ugh. Why is Drew Sidora back? I can't stand her husband or her "temptress" mentality. Oh, well. At least we get Marlo, but it's going to be strange to see her without Nene or Porsha.

Looks like it could be a good season (or at least an improvement on the last one).

And while I wish they were going to somewhere else than Jamaica for the International Travel Porn segment of the show (only because they have already been there), I can understand why they might be going there this season.

Andy said Sheree really delivers this season. I can't take Porsha and it was Cynthia's time to go, so maybe I'll watch. I haven't watched a full season for years.

Does anyone know what happened to Porsha? Was she demoted or fired or did she leave because of her spin-offs?

The consensus seems to be she left RHOA for the spin-off. With the spin-off, she would be able to control the narrative regarding her relationship with Simon instead of it being the topic of the season on RHOA. That however, blew up in her face since everyone has an even worse opinion of her after the spin-off.

I checked the women's bios, and four are from the U.S.A. (one is of Lebanese descent), one from the United Kingdom (she was on another Bravo show), and only one from the United Arab Emirates (Dubai is one of the Emirates). I understand though that this is a Real Housewives show, so any respectable locals wouldn't want to participate.

I am watching Secret Celebrity Renovation where Kandi is doing a total renovation on Aunt Bertha's house, I wonder if Mama Joyce will be jealous.  The construction team is Boston Rob and Amber from Survivor season 4...the house really needed a remodel, good on Kandi, she really got her hands dirty helping out with the work.

I thought it was telling that the other aunt was at the reveal but not Mama Joyce.  I'm sure she will make Kandi buy her everything that Aunt Bertha got. 

Also, Amber is not on this show. Just Boston Rob. But the designer does kind of looks like her.

I thought for sure Mama Joyce would not miss the opportunity to be on TV unless she found out it would not be a paid appearance, lol.

Honestly I had to Google Boston Rob to see if it was THE Boston Rob, I sort of remembered him as being popular and winning his season on Survivor. I had no idea he was Builder Bob as well!

I'm not sure I want to watch Marlo, or Sanya (who is boring).

The Drew Sidora divorce announcement dropped in time for Bravo to add it to the already filmed current season footage, and get at least a confessional from Drew. I don't know if I can take watching Ralph all season long.

Bethenny is in a weird place.

She thinks the show is beneath her but still wants to be a part of the "Bravolebrity" crowd.

Anyway, she talks about salaries and contract negotiations which might help us understand the Atlanta women better.

For those who do not want to watch, she and the rest of the cast made a little over $7,000 for the first season and then she and Romona negotiated $50k for the second season. After Atlanta and NJ got big she got a lot of money that she refuses to disclose. Still, she said one cast member actually wanted her contract to say that she made a dollar more than Bethenny because Bethenny was being paid so much money.

Teresa Giudice of the NJ HWs said recently she only made $7,000 her first season, and all of the cast had to pay out of pocket for everything. She used this amount to pay for her housewarming party. She reportedly makes more than a million dollars now.

Peter Thomas is behind $422,000 in rent for his Bar One Miami restaurant. The landlord is trying to evict him.

The situation is messy: he missed several rent payments years ago, worked out a deal to pay them, only to have some checks bounce. Recently, he had a new deal with the same landlord for a new restaurant. They were withholding his access to the new premises because he had not paid his debt from Bar One.

I am laughing because THIS is who Wendy (from Potomac) wanted to be a partner in a restaurant with! How he gets anyone to rent to him is a wonder, he is the poster child for failed businesses.

I know there are many restaurants in Miami Beach where Bar One is, so there is competition, but everything (restaurants, bars) is packed these days, especially in that area. He might have had residual problems from Covid, but everybody did, as well. The restaurant business is a difficult one, but it seems he opened (or tried to open) several restaurants in different geographical areas (or in the same ones like Miami and Baltimore) too soon.

Maybe, but he’s a horrible business person with a long track record of failures. In addition, IMO, he’s just a huge aashole.

Not only is Peter not paying his rent, he's also not paying his employees. This article is just the tip of the iceberg. If you do a deep dive, there's a former employee alleging that he deliberately hires people with criminal records and illegal immigration status so that he can take advantage of them & they will be reluctant to seek legal remedy. 

About 12 minutes in is where the recap begins of the former employee, Alesha Michelle Hunt, detailing Peter's shady business practices. I know it's a long video, but try to stick with it until about 30 minutes in. The receipts are receipting!

Just discovered that there's an After Show this season. Gems from the episode: 

  • none of the ladies believe that Kim and Kroy are getting divorced and just like us, they think it's for publicity.
  • Drew had to be reminded to pay her donation and apparently she needed to make multiple payments. It's worth it to watch the after show just to see Drew try to talk her way around why she paid late. 
  • Sheree complained that she had 2 kids and a grandbaby so she shouldn't have to pay, but ended up writing her check anyway.
  • Kandi continues to show why she's a better person than most of us by moving past the issues she had with Kim.
