S21.E13: The Girl Who Gets Caught In A Lie

Recommended Posts

Chantelle confronts Yu Tsai for calling her Panda?

I hope Yu Tsai deals with it better than the way he dealt with Matthew.

I bet you 10 ¢ he will probably go totally batshit on her. They cut it off right when the blood vessels burst in his eyelids and his skin simultaneously melted off in rage.

Matthew was but a prelude to the Ultimate Meltdown. It'll be like playing Super Mario Smash Bros on speed, and then greasy monkey Kelly will finish the poor girl off while Tyra sits on her throne and simpers as if this wasn't all planned.

And wasn't there a badly edited clip of Keith Bot and Chantelle having a half-drunk secret love fight in the hallway of their hotel? I hope this isn't the lie aspect of the show. I cannot fathom what it could be....

And once again, the best photos from this shoot were by the eliminated contestants (Raelia, Ivy, Matthew).  Well, at least Chantelle can enjoy the fact that she's already working.  I can't with Adam still being around and the fact that Tyra is now showing up to set to make sure her pets Adam and Keith get a decent shot.

Also, this show has been renewed for C22 and is already doing casting calls.

I loved Shei calling out Chantelle and her lies. And what was with Chantelle coming in and touching Shei's face during the "mourning for Raelia" scene? I would have slapped Chantelle's hand away.

I prefer drunk Adam to be honest.

Keith's "many different" faces? All I see is clenched jaw and squinting, but whatever Tyra and your plastic panel in your judging outfit.

You know Kelly was disappointed she couldn't be a raging bitch to someone for being late after the go sees. She probably had to steal candy from a baby after to make up for it.

Oh my goodness.  Is that what was on Tyra's skirt at panel?  I kept trying to figure out what the heck she was wearing.  That photoshoot outfit wasn't any better either.  She really needs to stop trying to dress like a teenybopper.

I know Chantelle wasn't warm and fuzzy but the rest of them were shit stirrers except for Adam who seems to have stayed out of most of the melodrama.

Who else saw Leila's pic in one of the go-see office's?  She worked quite a bit when she was in Korea.

I'm ready for this to be over and for Tyra to just crown Keith instead of dragging it out.

Why did they drag Erik along?  It's not like they don't have photographers in Korea.  Heck, they might have gotten better shots by booking the photogs from Korea's NTM.  Are they really saving that much money?

I'm sort of disgusted by how the show did Chantelle.  There was no need to make her into a "villain".  It seemed so forced to show the other contestants talking about how "mean" she was an how much of an "attitude" she had, yet there were no video examples...  Where was the footage of Chantelle telling the girls about her "hook ups" with Keith?

I may be in the minority here, but I felt bad for Chantelle. I thought she very calmly and eloquently described her issue with being called 'Panda'. She explained that she didn't think it came from a place of negativity from Yu Tsai, but he seem to take in personally and accuse her of having an attitude, rather than just apologizing and agreeing not to use his pet name anymore.

She seems to get accused of a lot of petty stuff that for whatever reason is never caught on camera. Changing makeup and hair, insinuating she hooked up with Keith, having a bad attitude (or at least any worse attitude than the rest of them). You'd think if she was that bad, they'd have more on camera. Shei is two faced for telling Keith anything.... I didn't get why Keith was so mad.... Unless something really did go down. The rest of them just seem extremely negative towards her, it would no wonder she kept to herself and tried not to engage in their drama.

I wonder if I can get on this show as a male model.  I am at least as tall as Adam and have more muscular arms than Romeo.  I'm too short, too old, and the wrong gender.  I think I've got a shot at this, guys.

I want more of the go-sees.  They said everything that's been said here, it was all connected to modeling.  It was nice.

I feel like Tyra should have apologized to Shei for screwing her over with the eyebrows- eyebrows that they seem to paint every damn photo shoot so that they match.  They need to teach her to obscure the over-the-top nature of her makeover.  Actually, that would make a fun challenge.  Cover what Tyra did to see if you can book a job!

But the first half of the show- I loved it.  Given that the show's on its last legs, I wish they'd give us one season of just that sort of thing.  Y'know, a modeling world where people have to deal with sample sizes that don't fit, and designers that are just "um...no" and height actually matters.  One in which Lenox's personality is apparently an asset even if she won't twerk with Miss J.

It's a shame they don't have a budget, because a traveling season would be interesting, even in the US.  What works in LA might not in Miami or NY or Chicago, y'know?  Just like who won in South Korea might be obliterated elsewhere.  They have to keep all the hamsters around and shooting anyway- why not make the scores cumulative, cut the contestant pool down, and see how people fare in different markets.  Hell, put 'em on an RV for extra drama.  This season was good "Real World," next can be classic "Road Rules."

Chantelle gave me whiplash.

  • Loved her with Yu Tsai, especially when he said she was an idiot if she didn't agree with him.
  • Was confused by her lying about hooking up with Keith, which I swear she admitted to in her talking head when she said she told Shei to keep quiet about it.  I didn't feel bad for her, I didn't believe she was really crying in the hallway.  I'm glad she and Mirjana were never in the house together- I feel like they're similar in ways I don't appreciate.
  • Was annoyed with her rolling into panel wearing a sweater that appeared to have black-and-white tigers on it.  How are you indignant about the animal comparisons one minute and then inviting them the next?  Did production make her wear it?  I thought she undermined herself.

Keith is lucky they overscored his picture.  He's won two actual print ads now, right?

All in all, I find myself loving the season at this point.  Maybe it was diminished expectations from the first half and, y'know, years of suck.  But...I still don't hate any of them.  I kind of relate to Adam.  None of them just suck.  I'm hoping they don't find a way to screw this up.

Chantelle totally admitted that she confided in Shei about hooking up with Keith. She went as far as to say that Shei betrayed her confidence, because she asked her specifically to not tell Keith, but Shei did so anyway.  I do not feel bad for Chantelle. Imagine if a male contestant went around bragging that he hooked up with a female contestant when it wasn't true. Shame on Chantelle.

The go-sees are always my favorite part of the season.  I was happy that Lenox did well, meh about Keith, upset for Shei (the only reason she didn't book 4 shows was because of the makeover that Tyra gave her!) and very sad about Will not booking any :(  I just love Will so much, and I was hoping he would win it. Now, it's clear that Keith has this in the bag.

Adam still being there is a joke.  He's likeable and handsome, but not a fashion/runway model.   I DO like that the camera keeps zooming in on the poster of him getting soaking wet though :)

Chantelle's edit, true or not, is just horrible. Why paint a contestant in such a bad light. Even Romeo wasn't edited this bad, in fact his actions were edited as a little justified, all up to the physical altercation at least. I hope Keith doesn't win but goodness it's obvious. And how is Adam still here?

  • Love 1
Link to comment

If the edit is true, then...are they supposed to try and make her look better/nicer than she was?  Maybe there's nothing external to justify her actions, so they can't show it.  I do think, though, that they did a nice job of showing how her insecurities (and, I think, her age- she may be trying to project maturity by being so stiff) contribute to her demeanor.

If she had tweaked herself just a little to give them something, they may have carried her further with a redemption arc.  She didn't, they dropped her- when they may have been able to keep her around longer and let things get worse (though again, I don't think she was portrayed all that negatively).  I feel like the whole thing was pretty fair.

If anyone's getting screwed by the show right now it's Adam, in my opinion.  They've taken him from party boy to probable alcoholic.  That's a heavy suggestion to put out there.

And of all of them, I'd say Mirjana got the worst of it.  Although if that's all she gave 'em to work with...it's her fault, too.

As others have said - I feel horrible for her. In what sick universe has this show gone? I thought bullying and intimidating people was wrong?

Agreed. The main gripe from the other contestants (per editing) was that she came across as arrogant. And then they noticed she has a tendency to lie and called her out on it. And that was about it. It wasn't even that dramatic of a scene. Its not like anyone's brownies were mutilated or anything.

Yu Tsai? He seems to be an asshole to everybody so I don't know except golden boy Keith who has gotten over his "mean coach" phobia and realizes Yu just wants to help him. Yuck.

Yu Tsai disgusted me this episode. Chantelle is not my favorite person but she very articulately and politely explained herself to Yu Tsai about why she has issues with it and I completely agree with her. Who cares if his intentions are good in calling her Panda when it may have negative impact on other people?! Will he die if he stopped calling her Panda? He was so immature with his responses... He just could not stand someone giving him criticism. He came around to it in the end but I bet it's because he doesn't want a bad edit. Well, too late, bro. Your first reaction already told what is really in your mind.

Adam is probably a natural introvert and drinking helps him to be more outgoing. Will raised a very good point to him that you need to have confidence in yourself in interacting with other people even without alcohol. If I were being objective, Adam should have been eliminated weeks ago. But I have a soft spot for him because he's one of the few that can take constructive criticism in general and doesn't stir shit at the house.

Yu Tsai was an asshole. Denzel tried that same I'm coming from a place of realness thing, and it didn't work for him.

I'm not sure what happened between Chantelle and Shei. But, after they dedicated a big chunk of screentime in an earlier episode to Lenox flat out lying about an incident we did see onscreen with the only consequence being more screentime for Lenox to talk shit about Chantelle, I don't at all trust the edit monkeys on this show when it comes to Chantelle.

I don't get Lenox. She's a bratz doll whose hair overhwhelms not just her face but her entire body, and she seems to be a really unpleasant young woman.

So much word.

I never felt love or hate for Chantelle. I was perfectly fine with her.

When she told Yu Tsai how she felt about the Panda comment all he was required to say is "I'm really sorry, I wasn't thinking of it that way, I just wanted to bla bla bla softness energy" or whatever his bs was about. He never should have called her Panda in the first place! Then to go all snake on her was so appalling to me. And the "I don't work for YOU" trip really sent me over the top. I don't care if she works for him not the other way around, how is it ok to call her anything? OMG

I still don't know what to think about Keith's actions towards her about the supposed lie. As I watched I was rather surprised by his response and yes I also considered how it would be if the genders were reversed but he seemed to really go after her in a particularly humiliating way. He could have privately confronted her and then asked her to straighten the story out with the others. He was making me feel really uncomfortable when he said "She likes me but I don't find her attractive" I mean come on she's 19 and we really don't know what happened between them and what the deal with those stories is. It seemed bizarrely ruthless of him.

You know it also made me feel weird to listen to a few of the Korean fashion people make the comments about her face. How strange it was to them. How they'd have to think about it. How they've never seen a face like that. How it just wasn't right for their brand. That coupled with the over the top personal criticism and predictions of future failure in the biz by the ridiculously indignant Yu Tsai made me feel really sad for her. She spoke to him in a very calm, reasonable way.

I can accept that it's a ruthless business and all that but when she then had to be humiliated by Keith I felt like she was vilified and treated really badly for absolutely no good reason.

I too agree that what others seemed to find arrogant and aloof was just the defensiveness and insecure masking of a 19yo.

Sigh. I hate this show and so much about it yet I watch every week.

But I've seen no indication that Shei is a liar.  Also, Chantelle said it was ridiculous when confronted (imply Shei was lying) but it's worth noting that by the time she spoke with Keith she was no longer denying it.  And in her Talking Head (which admittedly could theoretically have been edited) we never heard her deny she did it--her "upset" was supposedly over Shei breaking her confidence.  Which is blame shifting if you think about it.  Maybe Shei didn't have to tell Keith, but if she did it could also be construed as a moral choice if she'd begun to suspect Chantelle was lying.  Keith deserved to know.

Yu Tsai is kind of a piece of shit.

That said, this whole thing has played out as damaging to both sides.  Yu Tsai comes off as a creep and a bully, yet at the same time Chantelle comes off as trying to leverage the incident to make herself look like even more of a victim.  Both are true at the same time.  And Chantelle's talk about how she was okay with it, but others might not be?  Comes off as so insincere.  She did have a point about people seeing it on TV and copying it, but it almost sounds like she sat down and thought that up after the fact.  In the moment, when she was first offended, it was definitely all about herself, and she moved the target on that later.

It doesn't matter if his "panda" comes from a place of "love." if the other person is uncomfortable with a nickname, stop calling them that nickname.  Period.  He doesn't get to dictate how someone else should feel about being called names.  That he got so defensive and tried to tell her how to feel makes it damn clear that "love" was never part of his equation.  If you claim to love someone you don't treat them like that.

Shame on him.  He disgusts me.

I'm just noticing something here.

Last season, Jourdan was egged out to be this psychopath by the show and the contestants and yet, I don't exactly remember her doing anything to warrant some of the reactions people gave her. I never forgave Marvin for his, "Jourdan won't win because she's like, not attractive. I wouldn't have sex with her." Like what his dick thinks is the end all be all of a woman's worth in the world.

Sure, she kind of dug at people who, to be very harshly honest, were a bunch of selfish pigs that seriously believed their shit was pink and smelled like roses. I see no difference between C20 and C21 with the Chantelle gate.

IMO, I understand Chantelle's wall. That happens when you have been hurt constantly in your childhood. Maybe no one has told Chantelle how to be strong without being frigid? Don't peg her coffin before she even gets in it. Lenox and Shei are two covert witches brewing hatred - I sensed something mean underneath Shei and her bubbly nature. Lenox is a dolt who can't keep her mouth shut. She's right about herself - she is a retard, but not in the way she's aware of it.

Kevin - what the fuck? If Tyra or whomever is in love with his PlayDoh face weren't around, he'd had been sent packing years ago. Seriously though - the fuck is his problem? You ain't Tyson Beckford like your delusional ass wants to believe. Go eat some Wheaties and give me 50, cause that's about all you're good for.

Adam is going to die of liver failure by the end of the next episode.

Yu Tsai...I won't grace him with anymore words. He needs a hobby, a life, or anger management classes. Maybe all three. And stop being an undercover pervert. It's not working.

Yes, but, there is a little thing called morales and consciousness which her fellow competitors and superiors lack.

I don't care if Chantelle is arrogant, mean, etc. it does not warrant the treatment she has been given. These people would die if someone did what they are doing to them.

Yu Tsai is supposed to be a professional. He shouldn't even have any relationship with Chantelle other than a working one. Calling her Panda - lovingly or not - is unprofessional and toolish. Would he appreciate it if she called him Boxman? Cause he looks like he lives in a dumpster and picks mold off of cheese.

Lennox has been dogging the girl ever since she came back. She's obsessed. Keith's behavior disturbs me because a few episodes ago, he was calling Mirjana a bitch and not in a playful way. I am just going to be blunt - he acts like he has engaged in humiliation of girls before. It's a common problem on HS sport teams, one people don't like talking about.

At the end of the day, Chantelle could be Satan incarnate. But she still deserves a modictrum of respect. Even if it is grudgingly given. No, they don't have to bosom buddies, but I wouldn't want to know any of these people.

No, I'm not suggesting that the hook up talk didn't happen.  Chantelle admitted it happened.  I was just disgusted with how the show portrayed her and the editing.  It seems the show set out to humiliate her.  It's a reality show which thrives on drama.  If Chantelle was so "horrible", it makes no sense that instances of that behavior wouldn't be shown.  The other contestants just didn't like that she came back into the competition and wasn't very friendly to them.  It's very easy for people to have a mob mentality over the pettiest of things.

Also, we don't know that Keith and Chantelle didn't mess around.  All we know is that Keith denied it.  Chantelle didn't say that she lied.  Chantelle is very young, but I wish she would have spun it around on Shei and said in front of everyone that she let them believe something happened to see if she could trust them.  I didn't like how Keith humiliated her in front of everyone.

I also wish Tyra would make this into a serious modelling show where they select seriously high fashion models and guide them. If this happens in the same proportion as all the drama it would be fantastic.

I'm going to have to disagree. I think Yu Tsai was clearly in the wrong and wholely unprofessional. Names like panda, cow, and zebra are probably very hurtful to people with vitiligo. Him loudly screaming it at her week after week is probably triggering. Even if Chantelle knows it comes from "a place of love", others don't and the on camera talk was a chance for him not to come across as an insensitive ass. He failed miserably.

Yu Tsai's real work is as a photographer. What if a celebrity with vilitigo hears about his insensitive remarks and refuses to work with him? Jon Hamm has it. Tamar Braxton too. Tamar is much more likely to watch this show, but maybe it's a guilty pleasure of Jon Hamm's manager or his girlfriend. If Watch What Happens Live has taught me anything, it's that celebrities watch the same dumb crap we all do. That's a damaged reputation for some easily avoided bullshit.

Plus no one would be cool with Chantelle giving him some vaguely racist nickname like clang clang because he's so loud.

That said I don't have any issues when her gong home. It was a toss up between her and Adam who had an equally weak photo, but she was going to continue to struggle if future challenges involved more interactions with South Korean designers. It's a newish fashion market and America and Europe only started to get hip to using nontraditional models in the past 15 years or so.

I don't disagree that Yu Tsai is a complete dick and his defense of the nickname panda was just idiotic.  That doesn't change my opinion of Chantelle.

It's the binary state of the Internet. When one person is wrong the other must be right!

Real life rarely works that way.  More often you have a bunch of total dicks all doing horrible things to each other.  That's what we've got here I believe.  Chantelle is snotty as a defense mechanism and antisocial.  Lenox is whiny and entitled.  Yu Tasi is a worm of a human being who occasionally has a point (like that you need thick skin in the Modeling industry) but who pulls out that bullshit justification to excuse anything he does.  They're all idiots, I think.

The more I think about the Yu/Chantelle situation, the angrier I get, so I'm glad other people agree that she was treated horribly.

I especially hate that he pulled the boss card. She has to take his comments because he's in charge? No. That's why there are laws against harassment and discrimination. If she really did work for him, she could sue him.

I would bet money that Yu only apologized because a producer pulled him aside and told him either how damaging his words were or how he was coming across. Before that, he stood by what he said. I don't believe for a second that he changed his mind on his own.

I really wish Tyra had discussed the situation at panel. We've seen models in other seasons treated poorly, even screamed at, but this was over the line. It's telling them that even if they're not okay with their treatment, they'd better keep their mouths shut or they'll be treated worse. Tyra stood up for Will earlier this season - what would she have done if a "boss" had made homophobic comments toward him at a shoot?

Yea, what I took from this episode is that they're all (including Yu Tsai but excluding Adam) immature, shit-stirring assholes. I love Will, but he is probably the #1 shit stirrer this season, with Lennox maybe tied. Lennox and Shei came off very immaturely. Like who gives a fuck about what Chantelle told you, Shei, move the fuck on. Lennox seems to have a very strange vendetta against Chantelle. But then Chantelle came off very immature and terrible, too. When Adam comes off as as the most mature person, it's pretty bad!

I am glad someone else is disturbed by Keith. I started to get real scary vibes in the ep where he was just eviscerating Mirjana in confessionals with a very nasty sounding 'bitch' every second. And when he confronted Chantelle in front of everyone I was so put off by that. It was so immature and cruel and it really felt like he wanted to humiliate her and make sure everyone knew he thought she was unattractive.

Yeah, there's an interview with Matthew floating around somewhere about how he developed his new clothing line (No Labels or something to that effect) during all the down time he had while in Korea for the show.

I don't think the hookup happened - I think Chantelle made it up as a way to try and bond with the girls and she went about it in a terrible way. She strikes me as someone with very little social skills because she's had her guard up all her life. I felt bad that she was obviously trying (in a misguided way) to connect, and got embarrassed for her efforts. I think she comes off very immature, egotistical and above others, but I can see where that grew from.

I was also on her side with the panda deal. Yu Tsai full on knew that by calling her that, he was likely calling her something used to slur her all her life. Regardless of his intent, when someone asks you not to call them a name they feel is demeaning - YOU DON'T CALL THEM THAT. And you apologize and try and be more professional in the future. Ass.

When Chantal was in the hallway saying she would sleep put there, you could also see someone holding a Walkie talkie so I imagine it was a producer.

She has mad anger issues. Claiming she wanted to punch everyone in the beginning, saying she couldn't be in the room with everyone without violence. She said it was her skin that was the issue on go-sees but she also was moody and kept her sunglasses on. Designers called her cold. I wish she was called out in that. I get that she as bullied and she's not that far removed from high school to have moved on fully and that's shitty, but she needs to realize eventually that not everything is someone else's fault.

Tyra appears drunk at every panel so her giving Adam a talk doesn't seem all that productive.

Keith's one face is very modelesque but having one face goes against everything Tyra has taught the last 20 seasons of the show. Not that it's surprising but it's just...c'mon Tyra.

Chantelle gave me whiplash.

I know. What was up with first, Yu and Chantelle get in a big argument and he's going to call her "Porkypine" from now on. Then the next scene, they're all lovey dovey and besties. The heck? It's like they filmed it both ways, then needed the extra contrary footage to fill the hour.

Plus someone needs to explain to Chantelle that being called a "cow" is vastly different than being called a "panda," skin condition or no skin condition. Someone also needs to tell her cows come in all colors, most typically solid black (Angus). Black-and-white cows are Holsteins. But I don't expect her to know that, she's not exactly a bright bulb and is so defensive she would twist it around and not listen, just like Yu said she doesn't.

Being called a "cow" insinuates you are huge, fat and clunky. Not spotted. "Pinto" would mean spotted. Gah ... Chantelle ... get over yourself.

Keith's photo ... no way. All I could see was his legs all sprattled open and the photo shooting up, turning it into a crotch shot, not a shoe shot.

Oh, wait ... Tyra picked it for best. Not that she's after Keith's crotch or anything ... right?

This episode really showed how Will is too tall, Adam is too short, and Tyra totally screwed Shei from working with that "Ty-over". Finally, some real-life comments that we've shared here but never on the show.

Adam thinking Tyra was going to kiss him was hee-larious. Doesn't he know she is into Keith?

Loved the quick shot of Will being thanked by the photographer for being great to work with. Of course, photographer's opinions are not welcome at panel.

Kelly and her black Goth outfits and stringy black hair are really getting to me. Someone needs to send her pompous self to hair, make up and wardrobe.

As other people have mentioned, I'm wondering about this whole hook up whatever thing Shei spat out in the bedroom.

I find it very odd and suspicious that we didn't see one clip? It's not like these people have any privacy, even when they have to go wash their hands or brush their teeth. Plus, how much of it was Shei exaggerating and how much was it that Chantelle really honestly said? I guess we'll never know.

And Kevin is full of bullshit, talking about Chantelle is too young. Dude, you had your junk dangling openly on TV when Kari was still around. If you're that shameless I doubt Chantelle's age disturbs you as much as you claimed.

Adam for what it's worth, seems to have more sense than we give him credit for. Not once during this whole feud did he even squeak. Will, you're no better either. Even if Chantelle is a jerk, seeing as how broken up he was over Peahead Denzel, he should be a little more reasonable, but no.

A model is an independent contractor in almost all cases. If you don't get along you quit, or are dismissed. The only liability is if you are coerced into doing something against your will or outside of the contract that you sign. Yu Tsai was inartful, but not that much different than many photographers ( a well known one who refers to all models "lovingly" as fools comes to mind), and it's not as if you're going to have to spend your career working with them. Chantelle said her piece. Twice. It's not as if Yu Tsai was intentionally demeaning or using a term an ordinary human would interpret as hurtful. In a non-Reality Show situation there's a chance that a photographer woud apologize and buy her a nice meal, and then send her flowers the next day. More likely she'd be fired for being difficult, and replaced with someone witgh a thicker skin, which is the only skin condition that really matters.

Why are they lying to Will? No, Will, even if they like you, they are NOT going to design clothes to accomodate your height. Any more than they are gong to cut their clothes in odrer to do the same for Adam. Keith is only gaining momentum at this point because the other two guys have odd proportions, I am sorry to say. Will looks most model-y of the three, but Keith has an edge in being black, and Adam still hasn't finished his after-school arc.

Poor Shei, done in by her Ty-over! (Are they not permitted to touch things up until after the show, or would she have been accused of making her own editorial decisions ala Chantelle?)

You're right, Northstar, but I think it was more or less a minor situation which the PTB used to destroy Chantelle.

Yes, there are a lot of weird ass photographers in the industry that get away with some freaky stuff.

But, ever since Chantelle was brought back from the dead, there's been some evil darkness haunting her every step. I agree she's not a sweet and welcoming person, but I guess she wasn't following the script so they sent her to the gallows.

I have beef with Yu Tsai because he seems really eager to get into the bad photographer mode - almost too easily. He's been gnawing at these peoples' bones and when he found a tick, he immediately sunk in. He's less 'inspired artistic awkwardness' and more 'lame middle aged man with attitude problems'. He deliberately says stupid shit to people in the hopes someone will pop. He knew Matthew was not Matt and his whole issue with Denzel was pathetic kettle stirring at best. Adam seems to be a gentle person when he's not trying to pickle himself, so Yu can't get an inch with him. Lenox and Shei are feeding off one another's presence so I guess he can't take them both down. That left Chantelle. Rawr.

I think she needs to learn not to say things to people, no matter how innocent. She could have told Shei she saw Keith putting strawberry goobly gop lip balm on and it would have come out as he had on a wig, high heels, and a pink bra. Shei is not stupid. She knew what she was doing. She found an opportunity which Chantelle gave to her and used it against her. Never let the wolf taste your blood - he will be back.

I agree with you, BathKol, that he seems to be deliberately trying to provoke a response, but I'm not sure whether that's to get them to be more "themselves" in front of the camera, or whether to let them get a taste of what the real world might be like, or some combo dictated by TPTB. He seems a genuinely nice guy in the interactions I've had with him, and models who have worked with him have nothing but nice things to say. (of course, there may be some self-serving going on there, because people want to continue working.)

Was annoyed with her rolling into panel wearing a sweater that appeared to have black-and-white tigers on it.

Good observation, one that I missed!

This and all negative comments about Yu Tsai only remind me of all the department managers I've worked for during my extremely long career. Most are dicks and treat employees poorly because they can. Talk back and you get a bad review and your position suddenly gets "downsized." And you're in the unemployment line. (Which the company will fight because you were a "negative influence" in the office, so it's YOUR fault you got "let go.") One just learns to suck it up, keep your thoughts to yourself, put on a happy face and collect a paycheck. AND keep applying for new jobs/transfers whenever one gets the chance. Chantelle will have to learn to do the same or one photographer fight will cause her a permanent black mark and a check in the "she's trouble" model list.

Modeling is a small world, everyone working in it knows each other, and models of Chantelle's level are a dime a dozen. Or, a nickel a dozen. What a photographer/agent says about a model will be remembered, whether it's true or not.

That's just life in the big city.

So sorry Will is so tall. He's still gorgeously delicious to look at. I got a kick out of Tyra saying she wished he were 20 years older and straight. Ha ha!

I can't believe that I was yelling at the television for Adam over Chantelle last night.  If you would have told me at the beginning of the season that I'd be doing this by the end of it, I would have called you out awkwardly in front of everybody for lying.

I still think Adam is way too short but knowing that he's not ACTUALLY party monster, but an introverted math nerd, makes me get him a lot more.  My brother and I are like that, too, so I get it.  He really is very socially awkward without alcohol.  It's like he starts drinking and becomes Superman, so it makes sense that he would be hesitant to go without.  If you're an entertaining drunk, too, people are a lot more willing to let you continue.  The fact that the other people in the house seem to like him so much means I guess he is probably not as much of a douche as some of the shit he's said or done would indicate.  But people who aren't REALLY assholes are still capable of asshole behavior and don't get a pass for those behaviors.

Will is a national treasure and I was going to throw things at the TV if he got eliminated over being too tall in Korea.

I find it interesting that the two models of Korean descent didn't do as well as the more "exotic" ones who fit the clothes.  To an extent, Shei's makeover screwed her over but I wonder if there were some other factors going on.  I can't remember if Shei is considered biracial or not (I know her genetic test mentioned Irish and some other things), but Adam is, and I don't know how most Koreans feel about mixed-race Korean people.

I would be ecstatic with three of the five remaining people winning, annoyed but would ultimately deal with one of them, and utterly baffled if one of them won.

If Adam wins, I am trying out for next season as my drag persona, Boris "Biff" Stroganov, Russian mail order husband.
