I am so far beyond Paige and JJ I can't even see them anymore. This whole Romeo and Juliet vibe TIIC are trying to create is really not fitting to this context. I mean both of them are over 18 - just date if you want to date, Christ. You don't need mommy's permission. I guess this is all supposed to make the audience feel bad for them, but I just find them annoying. I mean sh*t or get off the pot; make a choice; I don't care anymore.

And this sort of contrived external angst really doesn't work. It's not like they're actually being kept apart by unconquerable outside odds. No one has a terminal disease, no one's going off to war. Just do something one way or the other and move us all along.

I can't stand Romeo and Juliet anyway. I thought they were a couple of teenaged wanks. I thought that when I was a teenaged wank. But the fact that so many writers attempting to parley that story into one of their own rarely ever get it right hasn't helped matters.

Romeo and Juliet were teenagers totally ruled by their hormones. I mean... they were teenagers, that's one of the major things. That their families were feuding just added to the passionate whirlwind they created with each other. It's not enough to just have two sets of parents hating each other to play up the Romeo and Juliet angle... you have to have that blind, willful passion that drives them to the complete and utter brink.

JJ showed that blind, willful passion... with Eve. And with the whole Jack raped Kayla angle (stupid though it is) you have a young man who doesn't think he's worthy of this princess he's put up on a pedestal. That's not Romeo and Juliet. That's chivalric/courtly love with a healthy dose of Sins of the Fathers for added angst. The thing is, Paige isn't pulling her weight. At one point, when she was able to spot a con a mile away she had something going for her but they continued to make her this dull, morose little thing. I can see where JJ and Eve are coming from in this passion play... but I don't know what Paige is about. Maybe it's a testament to the actors involved or maybe it's just that JJ and Eve are both the ones doing something and dealing with it while Paige remains this sanctified princess that both boyfriend and mother have put so high up on a pedestal (and the writers as well) that she's no longer human.

I have no problem with Serena bad mouthing Nicole to Eric. He's her past, they were in love, Nicole is nothing to her. I would always prefer my friends to take my side. OTOH I'm not in the mood for Serena and Nicole to have catfights with one another over Eric. Thankfully I don't think Serena and Eric as a couple is going anywhere.

I wouldn't want to see Theresa marry Paul if she thought he was genuinely attracted to her; that seems soapy but also cruel. And I can't imagine her agreeing to be his beard.

Me either, I've only seen a total of 5 full episodes of Theresa and I'm #TeamT all the way. I've been a fan of Jen Lilley since she subbed for Kirsten Storms on GH. No small feat stepping into that and she got a lot of vitriol but took it with grace and humility and she sure did a damn good job in KS place, so not sure if I'm rooting for her due to that or that there's a small part of Theresa that I really do enjoy. Something about a fighter who doesn't let judgy Hortons get her down, will always have my approval. Any enemy of the Hortons is a friend of mine, frankly. I hate those "people".

The way Paul acts, I am finding it extremely hard to believe he hasn't been outed already.

I think it was in the spoiler thread that I mentioned that Paul was so far back in the closet that he was in Narnia. I would like to change my vote. Paul's closet is made entirely of glass.

Eric a bad boy in Africa? What did he not use a saucer with his teacup? Eschew coasters? Refuse to say 'God bless you' after someone sneezed? Use the words darn and heck a lot? I swear Eric is Days answer to Ned Flanders (The Simpsons). What a drip! He is lucky he is pretty.

I was willing to give Melanie a chance. I was actually hopeful upon seeing the actress's first day's performance. She didn't seem as toothy and was rather subdued. I guess all that was to lure us into a false sense of hope. She is just as twitchy, toothsome, and 'cutesy' as I remember. Maybe even worse. I hated her during her 1st run and I am getting their fast. The only thing tempering my hate is that at least she isn't Abigail. How messed up is that?

Where are they going with this Mel/Brady/Theresa mess? Especially in light of the baby on the horizon. I thought we were going to see a bit of Theresa character rehab. I am still waiting for the 'you will feel bad for Theresa' aspect of the story that Jen Lilley promised in her interviews.

Eve/JJ/Blank page story is officially a flop for me. Now I am starting to wonder if they just should have left JJ a bad boy with a lust for older women like Eve and been done with it. Eve's motives could have been to drive Jen crazy and then she starts semi falling for JJ but feels bad for robbing the cradle. I know some find the age difference too huge but I don't. Probably would've worked better with Charlotte Ross though. In soap years, KDP could be JJ's grandmom. She seems more like Marlena's contemporary to me. No offense to Kassia.

Yes, Marlena SHOULD be more concerned about Eric and his state of being than she is about Nicole. We all know that she's hardly Mother of the Year material.

Indeed. Marlena pisses me off.  Lecturing Nicole about obsessing. This from a woman who puts a man above all others in her life, including her children. Woman could barely put in an appearance when her son-in-law EJ died. A woman who most recently asked her son not to press rape charges so her man can snap out of his coma and then leave without a backwards glance as soon as he was able to walk. Girl, bye.

Too many people falling over themselves to praise Serena and proclaim her the love of Eric's life. Normally, I would say that that was a red herring and some evil is afoot but than I look at the shows treatment of Abby and Jen and well....

Today, it really did seem like a lot of the characters were unfamiliar. If someone were tuning in after a long absence, I wonder what they'd be thinking. I have nothing against the actress playing Serena, but I don't care about her back-story. And it's hard to care about Eve after she slept with her daughter's boyfriend. For some reason, I was less offended when Billie did it, but maybe that's where familiarity with the character helped (I know she was played at that point by someone other than Lisa Rinna or the lady who dated Geoge Clooney, but maybe Julie Pinson's resemblance to Lisa Rinna helped in that instance). Or maybe Chelsea seemed mentally stronger than I assume Paige, who looks somewhat delicate or fragile,   will be when she finds out? I'm not sure why Eve is repulsing me so much more than Billie in this instance....okay, maybe JJ's sex reel mind isn't helping either...I can't even remember if they actually showed Billie and Nick actually doing it....but I can certainly remember every inch of whatever JJ and Eve were doing to each other because  JJ's mind as sex reel won't quit!

Nicole and Kate were the most familiar people to me today, but they're going to bed with turdburgers (Clyde is way worse than Daniel, but I still get the heebie-jeebies when Daniel kisses anyone, even if it is his real-life girlfriend).

I'm hoping that Clyde is on the fast track to being murdered, and that his murderer gets away with it.  I don't care if it's Jordan, Plucky, Kate, Victor, or even Clyde's right-hand troglodyte that does the deed, so long as it gets done.

LeftPhalange is right -- when Kate finds out just who and what she's been fucking, she's going to feel foolish and sick.  Kate deserves better than this.

Eric is a douche.

ICAM! I am Team Theresa all the way. Her eyes just kill me. Speaking of, I wanted to kill Brady for manhandling her the other day, and Melanie for tearing into her when she was already so upset.

I thought Stefano's voice was a little reedy or strained today. It was a little off.

Stefano is starting to look like's selling reverse mortgages on tv these days.  That fireplace background......I'm waiting for Henry Winkler to pop up.

Speaking of Pop Up, Clyde may want to keep a civil tongue in his meathead, because dissing Victor is a great way to get bitten in the ass - by a crocodile.

Golly Gee, the boys of Salem were in a pissy mood today.  That pretty box of hair, Rafe, looked like his thong had ridden up his buttcrack so deeply that all he could do was pout about it all.  Guy was in such a snit.  Rafe is best when he's not talking, not walking, and just blinking those lashes of his.  The Hernandez family is certainly no brain trust - but they CAN pout and get snotty like it's an Olympic sport.  Chad should just do some shadow puppet stuff and get Rafe to start chasing his own tail.  Either that or keep playing "Pull My Finger" with him.  Rafe's attention span isn't that great.

Victor would be better off entrusting his plan to Topo Gigio than Rafe.

I'm surprised JJ isn't knocking back the eggnog till he blacks out with having to tell the Jack story YET AGAIN, and this time to Rory.  Rory, as usual, has the right response - "Huh??  Dude was your dad, not you, what's the problem"?  Trouble is, Rory wasn't raised by Tribbles and JJ was.

The writers must have literally come up with this Eve story while blind drunk, or sniffing glue, or maybe THEY had their thongs in a twist as well.  So Eve - in the lamest blackmail plot EVER gets the doc to tell Blank Paige that Gramps is really sick, and this is supposed to do....what, exactly?  Is Eve planning to have Paige quit school and sit with Shane?  And won't Shane figure it out when he starts to ask these two why they WON'T LEAVE AND GO HOME?  I know Kim isn't the brightest bulb in the socket, but even she will start to wonder why Eve is having Paige search for burial plots on Craigslist.

I'm glad Nicole shut down Father Anal Fistula as quickly as she did.  If he wants to wear his hair shirt all over town, more power to him, but it's time somebody told him it's smelling rather funky.  And he may be cute, but, as Clyde would say, “He thinks the sun comes up just to hear him crow.”  Yuk yuk yuk.

A Rafe-centric Salem day is a lot like watching the test pattern.

I don't understand how canny businesswoman Kate doesn't even try to find out what Clyde does for a living.  She hasn't even asked!

I am really over Kate and Clyde the Clodhopper Crack salesman.  And while Grimace is boring, Kate deserved everything she said to her, and more.  Petty is not a good look on Kate, particularly when she's picking on someone who isn't even close to her league.

Time for Kate to shut down the Jordan snark and wise up about Clyde already.  She's usually not a moron for sex or love.

I guess it's Kate's turn to look like an idiot. Tamiflu and Rafe aren't even together anymore and Tamiflu has done nothing to her so why does she STILL so nasty with her? And as you've said, Tamiflu is nowhere near being in the same league as Kate so now she just looks pathetic for continuously going after her. Going toe-to-toe with Ciara would be less pathetic.

I haven't seen the movie and don't plan to see it. Could you maybe explain what you mean in spoiler tags for those of us who are curious?? Thanks in advance.

I recommend you read the book or see the movie first, cause if you read this spoiler it really will ruin it for you. But if you're SURE you want to be spoiled

HUGE SPOILER for GONE GIRL:

In GONE GIRL, the wife fakes her death and frames her husband for it.

Seeing Kim, Rory & Chad made this episode bearable (and no Abifail or Bollie in sight!!)   Was not expecting to see Kim so that was a wonderful surprise - wouldn't be unhappy if she & Shane made their way back to Salem for good (although Shane really doesn't look old enough to have fathered this version of Eve)

I just adore Rory - he cracks me up every time he's on screen - can we see more of him???

I like Kate - but am really sick & tired of her constantly going after Jordan - makes no sense that she's constantly harping on her (especially if it's about Rafe) - wish she'd hurry up & find out that Clyde isn't what he's cracked up to be.

And why exactly is Rafe trying to bring down Chad?    Because he's the only Dimera in town?   Or because he hurt poor little Gabi???   Ugh makes me crazy listening to him be all high & mighty around Chad - go back in your hole & look pretty - that's all you are good for.  On a shallow note - Chad looked mighty fine in that suit

And as for Eric - he needs to STFU & get over it - stop harping about what Nicole did to you - it's done - put your big boy pants on & get over it - if you want to be a priest - do it just don't constantly whine about how you can't because you hate Nicole so much - I think maybe you just might need some therapy (just don't go to your mother)

Did Chad do something to Gabi? Something that didn't involve turning her down, I mean? I can't recall now.

I'm sorry, but I stopped watching (and erased the episode from the DVR) after Suddenly Southern told the doctor that she had a very personal matter to discuss. I just can't be bothered with Eve at all. Nice to see Patsy Pease again, even if I can no longer buy her as Eve's stepmother -- or, rather, Eve as her stepdaughter.

I keep asking "Why?" at all the storylines. Why does Kate care about Jordan at all? Why does Won't refuse to act like a person? Why is Rafe around? (I can kind of understand why Sonny doesn't want to go to Mommy and Daddy to bail him out, actually, but that's about it. Everything else just makes me scratch my head, or want to bonk it against the nearest hard surface.)

Chad didn't do anything bad to Gabi except beat up Nick Fallon and enter into a mutual gag order with Nick and Gabi.  As usual, Rafe acts like his sister is some saint who didn't shoot Nick of her own free will because she's a dumbass.

Rafe is really irritating me a lot these days. I hated when he told Sonny to lose the attitude with him because at least he's not in a jail cell somewhere.  Gabi is only in a jail cell cos she put herself there.  She's losing out on time with her daughter because of her own mistakes.  Sneasel not sending enough pictures is the least of her worries.

Maybe I'm just heartless, but six months on I still have no sympathy for what Gabi did.  She enjoyed it when she was at the top with Nicky, and when it all came crashing down she had other options but she didn't use them.

According to SID, Gabi will be seeing WilSon, Ari and Rafe next Monday, but she'll also be meeting another character the following week. Perhaps Melanie or Chad?

While I do think that Rafe is probably upset about Chad's relationship with Jordan, I think he is also after Chad because Stephano and EJ aren't around so he's the only Dimera  left in town to go after.  Rafe still cares about Jordan and is concerned about Jordan being hurt by Chad, and the audience knows that Rafe is right to be concerned.

I'll admit, though, that I'm bit confused over Rafe's rather sudden obsession with Chad.  I know it doesn't seem like there's anything for Rafe to do and, since Hope finally has a story other than representing the Salem PD, I guess Rafe now is filling the primary law enforcement role.   I like the idea of adding some of the crime\mob element into the program.  I think we need something more than love triangles, cheating and angst.  I like that we're seeing Rafe and Victor working to bring Clyde down and I like seeing the writers remember that the Dimeras aren't upstanding citizens.  I'd like to see John, Roman, Abe and Hope included in bringing down the Dimera organization, but I'm sure that's part of the past that will never to revisited.

So, I think Rafe is behaving somewhat irrationally and without real motivation, but I do like that we not just be seeing emotionally scandalous stories, but we may be getting some stories that are more legal or business centric.  I'd love to see some boardroom drama with Lucas, Kate, Chad, Brady, John and Victor.

The only story for me that is clicking is Aiden and I am not even a fan of the couple, but I am intrigued by whether or not he had something to do with his wife's death. It almost feels like it is being written by an entirely different set of writers that pen the rest of the soap. I feel like aside from the romantic aspect (those 2 hopped into that windy category 2 storm bed too soon) it is paced just right & hitting all the appropriate beats. What the What?!?!

Some of Paul's interactions with TMZ bellhop and Will play like a higher end gay porno. Not that I know anything about that. LOL!

I swear they must reserve all the male ugly shirts for Will.

Maxine has the worst taste in people. She dislikes Nicole (why?), Ann and Theresa but she is so far up Dan, Jen, and Abby's ass that if she inched up another centimeter it would be considered a full colonoscopy. Find any polyps Maxine?

Eric, some key piece of advice for you. If you don't want someone in your life or your business, don't go up to them and say hi.

Nicole has no chill. I wish Nicole knew how to be alone. Saying you are not on the rebound is kinda like pyramid schemes. If you have to say it isn't a pyramid scheme, its a pyramid scheme. The fact that she had to run over to Dan and kiss him after finding out about Serena and then having it out with Eric, than yes Nicole you are rebounding.

I am not as in love with Theresa as some are. I don't dislike her but I can't unabashedly root for her either. Sure she is eons more palatable than Abby and Melanie but I just can't with her delusional ass sometimes. She really doesn't know why her life is in shambles? She really thinks that Brady would take her side in any argument? She borders on being Kirsten-lite to me and I can't. Sure she hasn't raped anyone, stolen babies and fetuses but she lives in a weird world in her head where she thinks that framing Brady for Jawn's near murder is just so last season and everyone should be over it by now. Then she stands around mooning over the missing link Brady with big watery animated Disney cartoon woodland creatures eyes (which are beautiful, BTW). I wish she were more self-aware and an unrepentant bitch a la Kate or even frigging Nicole. 'Til then, Girl bye.

Plus, I feel like everyone is mad at her for the wrong reasons. The pregnancy thing is just a stupid thing to go on about. Whether she didn't or did fake it is kinda a moot point being as how she was pretty much found out the same day she told Brady. It wasn't some long protracted con that ruined his life. In soap time it probably amounted to 3-5 hours of his life. Theresa told him, they skipped off to the hospital for some tests which came back negative rather quickly THAT SAME DAY. Be mad about the Jawn thing not that stupid shit. Brady thought he damn near killed his father for months.  I just feel that the show has everyone harping on the pregnancy because it is the only way to keep that dumb ass story alive while Eileen skips off to do Y&R for a few months.

And someone refresh my memory: What exactly did Theresa do to Dan and Jen that was so heinous?

Serena 'is that that time' Mason is sure making the rounds isn't she? The show has been really about as subtle as Godzilla strolling through downtown Tokyo during rush hour about where she falls on the good/evil spectrum haven't they. She has been in town a week and has already been roundly endorsed by the 'in-crowd' Moral get fresh crew as a great wonderful person. She even got to go toe to toe with the bad girls and win. How nice for her. I'm yawning already.

Something has been bugging me about Serena and I finally figured it out these past few episodes. Serena has got a case of the crazy eyes. Not all the time but in some scenes she looks to be on the verge of being crazed.

I have no frigging idea what the hell is going on with Chad/Stefano/Rafe and I am starting not to care. Chad is a great addition but it is becoming apparently obvious that he is about to be wasted on Abby.

What the hell did Serena and Melanie have on? Both of their dresses had weird ass cut outs in the back. Look like the Buffalo Bill sewing pattern from Silence of the Lambs.

Melanie was wearing the ugliest necklaces I think I have ever seen in my life.

Ugh Melanie. The actress's entire acting shtick could be summed up in one photo

When Abifail was trying to molest Austin Melanie was allowed to call her out without being dubbed "teh evul" so maybe eventually she'll be allowed to tell her to STFU. And if Nicole can become best friends with Chloe and bury the hatchet with Sami I have a little hope that maybe Theresa and Melanie will become friends once they calm the fuck down.

That one day Sami spent with Nicole knocking back cocktails was kind of fun.

The writers could have had a Sami and Nicole friendship for the last couple of months Sami was on the show. Maybe AZ and AS were excited to do something where their characters could have some BFF/frenemy fun, but something about the two sparkled together when they were kicking up their feet on the, uh, infamous couch together.

Yes to Serena's crazy eyes. My kid is in vision therapy for an intermittent eye turn and when she's focusing on something close during her exercises, she makes the same face that Serena does when she's right in Eric's face. If I thought the Melissa Archer had an eye disorder, I'd feel bad for saying that it's distracting, but I think she's just going for that (literal) wide-eyed ingenue look (that she's at least a decade too old for).

Speaking of distracting: Nicole's hair. A few weeks ago, it looked nice. Not that slicked back business she used to sport or this current wavy, unkempt looking mess, but smooth and styled, but with just the right amount of volume. Why do they keep messing with it?

THIS!  MA is trying to project this worldly sophisticated journalist charm while at the same time acting young and out of her depth.  I'm not buying it  because Archer just doesn't have the acting skills to pull off either:)

Oh joy, we got the Trifecta of Suck with Abby, Serena and Melanie all being in one episode.  We got to see Melanie tripping and meeting Eric and just acting oh so adorable and we also got Serena wideneing her eyes a bunch of time to show just how sweet and innocent and anti-Nicole she is and how awesome was Abby walking up to a clearly upset Theresa to rub it in her face that yet another guy rejected her?  Abs is definitely this show's heroine.

Rory is dead to me.  He thinks Jen, Abby and Melanie are all hot.  WTF?!

I can't believe that Paul is actually choosing Will over Sonny--is the man blind?  Sonny is ten times hotter than the Sneasel.

I just can't comprehend this show sometimes.

I haven't even seen today's show yet and I already want that mutant hobbit shredded and tossed with mayonnaise like a human cole slaw.  She's got some room to to talk, since she's slurping it up with an inflatable hand puppet.

Theresa D. took an axe,

gave that horror 40 whacks,

When the viewers saw what she had done,

Writers, let US buy you a clue - your "heroines" are not.  They're really, really not.

Well I didn't expect Paul to turn down Theresa since he seems to be a man whore, but he probably figures a beard would invite more trouble than he needs right now. To be fair,I he has his hands full already with Sonny, Will and Derrick, but those interactions can be confined to a hotel room, which is easier to manage, and probably something he's used to.

The declaration about Sonny might have got him some points from me after the constant flirting, but what's he still doing with Will, then? I guess Zoe and Mr. Price were right, because the fact that Will is 'single' is getting Paul to talk. He even said he'd tell Will stuff if Will told him stuff too.

Paul might be being nice to Will so he can get a good write-up, but I think he knows exactly who Will is and is using him to get to Sonny. Why else did he tell Theresa that he and his ex aren't done? He could have said that to give her the brush off, but he seems like a man with a plan to me. That 'too young to be tied down' comment was an anvil to me. He's looking for Will's reaction.

But why is Paul acting like Sonny is available? Classic interloper behavior. Annoys the hell out of me, like when I see comments on the Daily Mail saying:'my boyfriend is married' as if it's completely normal.

When Sonny asked Abigail about Paul and Theresa, was he asking because he's covering his ass in terms of what info Paul is putting out there,or because he is jealous/is thrilled Paul still has feelings for him?

I was glad Sonny unloaded on Will and I hope Sneasel steps up and supports his husband.

Regarding Gabi, I didn't know prisoners had access to email. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Also, Will has been back for three minutes, so what is the rush about going to visit Gabi. I thought visits only took place at specific times on specific days and that you can't just drop in for a visit whenever you want. I guess it's one more thing Sonny will lay into Will over.

Of course Rory would think Melanie is hot. And all the fawning over her at the dinner party was hard to take. There's Serena digging for info from Melanie about Nicole. When she finds out Nic and Dan are dating, it's gonna be super awkward.

What is with Dan seeking permission from Jen and Eric again? I thought he already spoke to both of them. This is overkill when they are both grown adults.

Glad to see Nic had a sidekick. I'm pleased she is in reporter mode. Was that an anvil about Serena's name being made up?

Too much time spent on JJ and Blank!Paige. Would have rather seen Will and Sonny talk things through. This is just like SAMI and EJ before Abby when they didn't even kiss properly on NYE. Paige is a fool for giving up Stanford for JJ anyway.

Abby is a horrible, nasty person for kicking Theresa when she's down. Paul has nothing to do with her and Sonny had better not confide in her either. At least Theresa got that dig in about Ben being a barista. There's nothing wrong with it, but I think Abby has an issue with it and that will be one reason why she goes running to Chad.

Eye size isn't the problem, it's that she noticeably widens them at times. I'm not sure what she's trying to convey with that, but it comes off as weird.
Some people, Theresa immediately comes to mind, do great jobs acting with their eyes, maybe Serena just isn't one of them. If that's the case, she should stop.

Do the writers know how unlikeable they've made Abifail or do they just not care? There's not a single likeable thing about her. Since Theresa didn't have a problem getting into a fight with Melanie the other day I don't know why she doesn't punch Abistank in the face. And I'm tired of people talking about how attractive Abismell is. She's alright, but she not "breathtakingly beautiful" so how about everyone STFU about it. I'm fine with Rory thinking Melanie and even Jen are attractive, but not Abifail. She's already gotten way too many undeserved compliments.

Tired of Eve acting like this because she doesn't want her raggedy daughter with JJ.

Googling Serena once was one thing but what did she need to do it again? Why is she so desperate to dig up dirt on her? She's supposed to be moving on with Dan and isn't even friends with Eric right now so why doesn't she just leave it alone.

Paul is totally scheming. Why else would he be interested in getting to know the guy interviewing him? He wants to cause problems for Sonny and Will so Sonny to be "free" and he can have him or he wants Will's dick. Or both.

Two deranged looking dodo birds enter a house, oops I was hoping to start off with a joke until I realized it was Jar Jar and Toothy entering the house. Why did Jar Jar look upset that JJ was shirtless in the house? He lives there it wasn't like he was naked or in his underwear. Toothy felt the need to go to another room because JJ wasn't "decent", like she never seen a naked man before. I wonder what she does when she goes to the beach and sees all the shirtless men walking around? Shield her eyes and all them teeth.

I so wanted to punch the shit out of Abifail too when she approached Theresa. Theresa was minding her own business and yet there's AbiFail ready to gloat about no men being interested in Theresa. STFU bitch and didn't we love how she twisted the story to Sonny about Theresa stalking Paul when that's so not true at all. When did AbiFail see Theresa stalk Paul? Lying bitch.

Rory needs to get his fucking eyes because Jar Jar and Toothy are not hot at all. They all look heinous.

Thank you Sonny for calling Sneasel out on his bullshit. Sonny tried numerous times to reach out to him and he couldn't be bothered. He wanted to focus on his career and yet Sneasel was sort of acting like Sonny working on his business venture isn't important enough. He went off to do his thing so Sonny can go off and do his. Sneasel was being selfish and self absorbed while in Hollywood. Continues that by not taking Ari to see Gabi, if I was Gabi I would just get the gun again and use it on Sneasel.

I did get a laugh out of AssCole saying that Shrewena's name sounded made up.

Eve is just the worst mother ever, ranks right up there with Judgy Jenn.

This story with Eve keeping Paige out of Salem is stupid.  Paige is old enough to tell her mother that she doesn't need her support and that she can go fuck herself.  There are plenty of 18-19 year olds who support themselves while going to college.

Why does Daniel have to run his new potential relationship by Jennifer?  Again, stupid.

And why, for the love of all that is holy, don't these writers let Nicole move on from Eric?  I'm so tired of pathetic Nicole.

I think Kate Mansi is fugly, so every time any of these characters or soap mag writers say otherwise I laugh and shake my head.  I really hope she leaves the show when her contract is up, and that Days does not recast.  Abigail is a thoroughly repulsive character.

I know you're just theorizing, but I don't see anything on-screen that indicates Paul knows that Will is Sonny's husband.  The show clearly wants to build to the big, soapy "He's your husband?!?!  He's your ex?!?!" moment between all three guys.

As for what he's still doing talking with Will, I think the first meeting at the hotel was just an initial introduction, right?  Will, Ace Reporter, said some nonsense about how he hadn't even done any research yet, but wanted to get a first impression.  And reporters on that type of profile piece often spent multiple days/interview sessions with their subjects.

I really loved Melissa Archer as Natalie on OLTL so it bums me out she's playing another of Salem's super smug "good girls".  That's a character type I really can't stand.

Isn't KM's contract already up? I figure she's re-signed because I thought for sure now would be the time to announce Abigail is leaving. Since no announcement has been made, I assume she's staying. Also, I don't know if there are any other characters as annoying as Abigail for her to play on tv. She makes me wonder how I could have ever dissed Joey Potter. Do the writers secretly hate the Abigail character? The writing for her is bizarre.

I have a hard time seeing Serena staying perfect. Melissa is too good at playing not quite so nice girls.

Also, Abigail just needs to stop trying to act like she's perfect. We know better.

I don't have an issue with Serena's eyes, but the make-up people don't seem to play them up as well as they could,  I think. I saw her a couple of times on One Life To Live, and didn't she look better on that show?

Good point about the 'he's your husband, he's your ex' angle. TBH it's the only thing that's keeping me holding on to the fact that Paul is clueless. But I still wonder why he'd flirt with Will if he is devoted to getting Sonny back. Maybe he didn't anticipate finding Will attractive (even though he flirts with everything that moves)? He did refuse Derrick so we know he has some self-control (for now). Perhaps Paul is enjoying the fact that Will is a challenge. Derrick seemed to be a turn off because he is too easy.

KM first aired in March 2011, so her contract should have started around December 2010. She could have re-signed, but at Day of Days, it sounded as if she was moving on. Perhaps she extended her contract like CB did to finish the Nick story. Something tells me Abby is going to get caught up in Victor/Clyde drama. Plus she's still gotta get back with Chad before she leaves.

I forgot to add that Abby seemed to forget all about the confidentiality agreement she signed when she blabbed about Paul Narita so loudly that Sonny managed to overhear. Granted, Paul himself is not doing much to keep under the radar, but still.

And the fact that Abby can lecture someone about stalking after following a man to his gym shower and keeping track of his appointments is hilarious. HYPOCRITE.

I dunno, seeing Sonny again clearly stirred up a lot of old feelings, but he's not been rubbing his hands and cackling with evil delight while he schemes to break up Sonny's marriage.  So he's a bit of a flirt who's maybe trying to make himself feel better.  I don't see the big deal.

Plus, from an out-of-universe perspective, I think the writers are kinda toying with the viewers.  Who will cheat, which one of them will Paul sleep with, etc.

Again, I know you're just speculating, but you seem determined to make Paul a villain in this.  Do I think he's displaying some classic interloper behavior?  Sure.  But is he actively trying to split up Sonny and Will?  Not that I've seen on my television.

Wait, WAIT. KM hinting at possibly not resigning? Dare I hope that Abifailsmellstank will be off our screens in 6-12 months? Or at least played by a competent actress?

I like KdP and think she, with the right material, could be a real asset to this show. But you can see her teethmarks all over that doctor's office from where she'd chewed up the scenery trying to sell this wretched wrench-in-a-teen-romance story. Which is both annoying and a waste of talent.  I vote send Paige to Stanford for a while and let Eve and JJ explore a Mrs. Robinson/Benjamin relationship.

Nah, I've just watched too many movies, lol. I think when you've seen every twist there is to see, you start looking for the clues that something else is going on. I can accept that Paul just has an unrequited love, and that on it's own can be entertaining, but I guess I find it hard to believe that he wouldn't have Ewe Searched Sonny at all (because that's what I would do). Again, every interloper I've seen on TV in soaps has had a negative streak, whether out of desperation or vindictiveness. I guess I just expect that Paul will follow the same pattern. I suppose I shouldn't be so jaded, but I think I've only seen one honorable third party in twenty years of watching soaps.

She said something about her and the writers taking Abigail to the next stage. It sounded like she wouldn't be part of that next stage.

Oh, I don't think he's 100% honorable.  Offering to lend money to a married ex you still have feelings for is one example.  But a more active, manipulative schemer would be trying to ensure Will found out about the loan, would lie that Sonny came to him, would intimate that they were sleeping together, etc.

To be fair, he doesn't know Will is back yet, lol. As far as he knows Will is unavailable. I'll wait to see what he does next so I can see where this is going, but the moment when they all meet is going to be epic for sure.

There is some speculation that Will will invite him to the Horton Christmas because he is lonely around the holidays, but I think that would be too public and invasive in view of the fact that they want Will to be impartial.

I don't think Paul is as sinister as Abigail was when she was stalking EJ to his shower, but he does give off a bit of an entitled vibe to Sonny's heart, which on this show seems like a bit of a signal that he could be an interloper in the future. I think Paul follows certain generic conventions in soap behaviour. Right now, his behaviour is  not as horrible as Abigail's but not really subtle either. (I thought someone like Carly genuinely wasn't in the mood to break up Hope and Bo, and that her interference was sort of accidental despite what may have been going on in her subconscious - Paul, on the other hand, seems more typically soapy in his "I know we had something together, we bonded, blah blah". Whenever someone gives  a speech like that to a married person, I start groaning. But to be fair, I think I could just be assuming Paul is going to start acting a certain way because of soap precedent, rather than because of anything he's actually been shown to be doing. It's just that Days never really breaks convention and usually goes the obvious route. Hence, Eve sleeping with JJ because porny music seemed to follow her everywhere before she actually did sleep with him. The porny moaning music was really the only clue I had that she'd be dumb enough to sleep with him, but Days  managed to live up to my prediction.

But your whole speculation was that he knows Will is Sonny's husband and was playing him. So which is it? ;)

Well now I have two theories thanks to you so I guess it could be either;)

I am also seeing lots of spec about Will and Paul sleeping together, but what are the chances Sonny would want Paul after he'd slept with his husband? Plus i was looking forward to some internal conflict for Sonny as he carries the story, so I'm not liking that option.
