Sometimes I feel like he does this because part of him is begging an outside entity to put limits on him. He has impulse control issues as demonstrated by his cocaine imprisonment, 2 kids, drunken incidents, and the social media rant that tanked his political comeback. I get the sense that the rational part of him  knows he should leave the show, but the emotional attention-seeking part of him would never leave.  He's a mess.

Yeah that article shows absolutely no evidence and is clearly biased towards Ashley, saying she is going to be the breakout star etc. when most other info about the srason is that she is barely featured.

I actually follow the woman who Thomas is maligning as a stalker on Instagram. I’ve had some very limited interaction through DM with her and find her to be super-gracious, very stable and extremely intelligent. She’s very well educated, having attended Notre Dame and Harvard.  Her page is dedicated to posts about Patricia, Southern culture and interesting tidbits about old society in general. She has become close friends with Patricia. I’ve been following her fo for roughly a year and have yet to see anything negative or creepy posted by her regarding any cast member, much less Thomas or Ashley (Tashley). I know that she is the woman that Tashley accused of stalking because she has stated as such. As as been stated above, Tashley might be lashing because they are not pleased with how they feel they are going to come across. They are also lashing out at someone who who they feel will not stand up to them because of her career and the negative attention the skeevey Tashley would bring her. Tashley are ridiculous bullies. Cut the assholes loose, Bravo.

Me three, ladies---I've thoroughly enjoyed her "welovepatriciaatschul" Instagram page the past year or more and thought it was actually rather sweet that Pat eventually befriended her and that they've become so close. Not to mention that my own interactions with her on her site have all been quite pleasant as well, not in the least bit strange or unhinged like they've made her out to be at that website.

It is oddly amusing to me how some of the cast members from this show and VPR hang out regularly; the two biggest partying casts on Bravo found some friendships, go figure. Kristen and Brittany were just in town partying with Craig, Shep and Austen—-apparently they brought Jax’s sister to town as part of a bachelorette weekend. Stassi often joins the fun and seems rather close to Shep, Danni and Naomi as well.

Kathryn has hung with that bunch a few times too, but she’s absolutely crazy to be seen hanging out with the biggest lush from VPR; Kristen is a horrible influence, especially since she practically forces people around her to party as hard as she does.

TRav was on a twitter tear this weekend.  Actually - I just went out to see exactly what he had said and it looks like he deactivated his account.  He had said something like he was going to be honest with everyone and not ignore haters or something - and the proceeded to go off on everyone who said anything negative.  He called a female reporter who wrote an unflattering article (I guess, I never read it) a "tampon."  Yeesh.  He never learns.

Drunk Thomas and his Twitter and Instagram rants are comedy gold. May he never learn exactly how social media works.  He posted, not once, not twice, but three times in a row on Instagram how Patricia had blocked him on Twitter. Those three posts are gone now, of course.  He’s a brat but he’s also a coward - a delightful combination.

Bravo has been running eps from last season today and I saw S4, Ep 9 ("Guess Who's Coming to Lunch?"), the one in which Kathryn gets invited to Saint's first birthday party, which was held outside in a park. (And which Thomas's dad skipped because he had a dental appointment.)

I think it has one of the most telling and actually open and "real" TH I've seen in this entire series. Thomas describes how as the youngest child in his large family he was "alone" after his parents divorced when he was young (age 9 or 10, I think). His parents were "older" folks when he was born, in their late 30s and maybe his dad was 40. While he may have lived with his mother after the divorce, his older brother had Down's Syndrome. Likely Mrs. Ravenel had a nanny or other worker(s) to help with that child but Thomas felt a lack of significant time and attention. The older kids were off doing their own things and he didn't connect with them. He mentions that he has relationship problems because of all that.

So although by now -- age 55 -- he should have "grown up" and resolved his relationships with his parents and siblings, I do feel a bit of understanding for why Thomas has "acted out" much of his life and had drinking and drug problems. Kathryn also has a TH in which she discusses his upbringing in a way that makes it clear that he opened up to her about it. Despite their age difference, I think he felt a real connection with her. When not mentioning her "physicality", he calls her an "old soul". Perhaps their connection was just because she's also a messed-up child. She really seemed to have empathy and sympathy for him in that TH, and I've seen it in some of their interactions. That is one of the bonds that is still a thin but solid wire between them, even beyond their connection as parents.

I am trying to decide if people have this visceral dislike of Ashley because she has temporarily bumped Kathryn out of contention for Thomas or because she is on a reality show.  I find it odd people on the show claim someone is thirsty for wanting to be on the show when they all pursue less than believable story lines to stay or get on the show.  Most of all, they are such back biters.

It is not as if Kathryn is entering into her twilight years but I do think while she is in therapy she should be able to explore why she can't let go of the idea of she and Thomas as a couple. Maybe she has resigned herself to Thomas because no one else wants to date her, let a lone settle down with her. The only things I like about Thomas is he plays polo, the only other polo reference we have on the Bravo shows are RH who shag handsome South American polo players while living in their summer homes in the Hamptons, and I do think Thomas has an eye for architecture.  It may not be my style, but there is a certain thoroughness about it.    

I don't find Ashley any more or less objectionable than Landon, Chelsea or Danni and lot more likable than Naomie.

I mostly feel the same.  Ashley likely went after Thomas as a means to an end.  You know, low hanging fruit.  If she watched more than a couple episodes of Southern Charm, she learned that Thomas was an easy mark.  It is a different form of what every one of these reality show cast members have done.  Saw an opportunity and took it.  Whether her goal is fame or fortune, she has that in common with the rest of them.  Those that already have a fortune, apparently sought fame or they wouldn't be involved in a messy reality show.

Sure she wants to improve the custody situation in her favor but it's doubtful she harbors any illusions about getting Thomas back.  Nor has she been sitting on her hands.  She probably has hookups but isn't about to put any of those men on the show.

However, she may be willing to play the role of the jealous harridan for the show, which is probably her only income source.

If she's playing along, at least it would indicate that she's not so unhinged.  But if she isn't playing along, oh boy.

I'd give side-eye to anyone who uprooted their lives and moved across the country to be with Thomas.  Say what you want about Kathryn, but Whitney cast her on the show, she didn't change her entire life to get with Thomas, nor did she have the benefit of watching his behavior beforehand.  As gross as he is, 2013 bachelor Thomas was far more desirable than current Thomas, who has two kids and crazy baby momma.

I agree with you that they're all thirsty, but IMO there are varying degrees.

If this were The Bachelor, Ashley would be the one who’s There for the Wrong Reasons. She gestured Thomas over from the other side of the room because she knew exactly who he was and then immediately moved in with him and is trying to lock him down in marriage. We know Thomas doesn’t have any redeeming qualities other than his fame and money, so she’s obviously after his fame and money. I just don’t believe she actually loves him. It sounds like they’re still together so maybe an actual relationship has progressed, but time of filming this episode they probably only knew each other for about 2 months. I think all of the other SC showmances are legitimate. (Exception with all of Landon’s unrequited interests in Shep, Thomas, and Austen.)  I mean season 1 Kathryn  people questioned whether she slept with Whitney, Shep, and Thomas just to get on TV, but I think she just slept with them (and probably many others) just so she didn’t have to drive all the way back to Monk’s Corner after a night of hard partying, and somehow she and T-Rav actually fell in love. T-Rav and Kathryn still become the human equivalent of the heart-eye emoji around each other—of course then they practically kill each other. Ashley just comes off as calculated and faking it because she’s coming out guns blazing over the top. I think even when Kathryn or T-Rav TRIED to act calculated with each other it never ends up working out because there’s SO MUCH emotion there that neither one of them has any ability to self-regulate. So far Thomas can’t even compliment Ashley without his first thought being how jealous Kathryn will be, and he tells Ashley flat out he’d be with Kathryn if they didn’t fight so much. Ashley is not “the one” for Thomas, and yet she’s acting like they’re getting married and she’s the new mom to his kids, etc. So, yeah, for the amount of time she’s been on our TVs so far, she is dehydrated and T-Rav is barely giving her drops of water to keep her hanging on. I’ll keep an open mind about their relationship as the season progresses. But right now i’m having flashbacks to my childhood hamster. I wasn’t very good at remembering to feed it and the poor thing would be at that empty water bottle frantically hoping to get a drop of water—Ashley looked the exact same way she keeps pawing at T-Rav and begging for validation, which she only seems to get as a backhanded comparison to Kathryn.

There are zero doubt in my mind, that those two will end up together.

They have insane sexual chemistry and have two kids together.

They have the same background. And There might even be love.

I just read that story and strangely enough the alleged victim's age stood out to me too. I didn't think Thomas was capable of being alone with a woman his age without flinging himself into space ala George Clooney in Gravity.

Thomas is so damn impulsive and incapable of keeping his mouth shut that I'm inclined to think he actually did this because he's actually managed to keep his mouth shut. He's always quick to mouth off when he feels he's being unfairly targeted. He isn't saying anything now and he didn't say anything then. It makes me think he knows there is nothing unfair about him being targeted this time.
