I can’t imagine that polygamy often works well for all the participants. I mean the Browns basically have said the whole purpose is to teach women to suppress their natural emotions and learn to endure suffering. I might be paraphrasing a tad. It’s no wonder that we hear all the horror stories about Warren Jeffs et al. Women and girls have to be forced into these asinine arrangements.

All sorts of thoughts on this one—first, Meri “hiking” in LuLaRoe 🙄: Sorry hon, that’s just a leisurely walk, not a “hike”. A hike usually lasts hours and requires some supplies. 

Second, I chuckled at Kody implying that even the other wives don’t want to talk to Meri every day (well I wonder why that would be?). 

And third, my astonishment that Meri still hopes for “more” in her relationship with Kody—even after he has said repeatedly he’s not interested.

I think it's a purely financial decision. TLC makes money on the show somehow; it costs them less to make it than they gain from it. No one on the show has been accused of an egregious crime requiring them to pull the show and distance themselves from the Browns. At this point, the show probably largely makes itself; TLC and the Browns know what to do, they do it, the TLC people do their part and the show is in the can. When they lose a sufficient number of viewers/money, they'll stop the show.

They're still averaging about 1.5 million viewers per episode.  That is actual viewers not counting the DVR viewers within two days or a week.  They'll be around for awhile until interest drops even more.

Many people with blended families, shared custody, etc. have had to find ways to mitigate their COVID risks in order to keep to court mandated visitation and custody schedules. A divorced parent couldn’t just deny the other parent their visitation or custodial time because they didn’t agree with their protocols.

Kody has the “luxury” of decreeing that he won’t visit because he lives with Robyn full-time, which I suspect has been the case even well before the pandemic.

I’m just wondering whether Kody would willingly damage and humiliate his awesome persona on (inter)national tv for another season just for the money and fame? Unless they don’t have a choice because of financial reasons?

It feels as though the slow falling apart of this family that we've been seeing build over the past 10 years is happening.

The first wife is in a "friendship", another words, not a marriage.

The second wife says everything is ok, but we haven't seen her husband inside of her house at all, this season or on social media.

The third wife has left the marriage.

The husband is talking and acting like a crazy maniac that wants no part of his first three families.

Congratulations Robyn, you got your way. Kody is all yours. Janelle is the only wife that doesn't realize that you won. It will be interesting to watch you work your evil magic to get rid of Janelle altogether.

Anfisa is attending UC Irvine for a business degree, is a certified fitness instructor and has won a body-building contest. She's still kind of icky (posting so many half naked pix in gymwear cos that likely pay her quite a bit) but she's far from the gold-digger portrayed on that show. She's making a ton of money all on her own. I think her story is pretty interesting actually. Now, if Kody would court someone like Larissa - that would be juicy lol.

Thanks for the update, am glad it worked out for her in the end. But she was depicted as a gold digger (quite possibly unfairly)  on the show, giving that dork of a Jorge a hard time.

Imagine a new wife being a Meri 2.0 on steroids throwing a tantrum over a cheap silver Claddagh ring instead of a 24 carat gold ring? Or having just a 1-million dollar mansion? Or being sick with jealousy when he takes Robyn on a dinner date to Domino’s Pizza (because he can’t afford anything else)

Just the thought of a woman with Anfisa’s temper and demands next to Kody makes me chuckle and wanting to get the popcorn and coke out just to watch the show unfold!

$820K is what they paid for it, and I doubt they have paid it down very much, and I read they owed back taxes on it.

I agree with what you all are saying about Garrison...hard working, saving up for his future, responsible, participating in the military, etc. 

He's also just a SWEETHEART, going over to Christine's and building a flower bed for Truely for her birthday. A 20-something yr old young man, taking time out of his weekend to go do this for a little girl.

Anyone with half a brain would be so proud to have this kid as their son.

Good on Janelle for refusing to throw him out, and good on her for doing something right to have raised young men like this in the first place, obviously with no help from her "husband".

I re-watched, and saw it a little differently than this...I do see what you mean, in a way.

Janelle does give a little laugh at one point, but it's right after Kody says she lets the kids run her household. 

I think she's laughing in an eye-rolling, exasperated kind of way, if that makes sense.

So how I took it was...he isn't getting his way, so he makes his "your kids run your house" statement, and she just kind of laughs and is like "whatever, dude. I'm not throwing him out." I think she's just over Kody and his crap at that point. The thing she thinks is ridiculous is Kody.

When they were all - yet again - who's going to get which plot, Kody says something about building #5 right away.  There was a very brief discussion w/Janelle, and maybe a talking head, how Kody thinks they are going to make a fortune on rental units.    Got to thinking, and Kody removed his name from Christine's house before she sold it - so he wouldn't be liable for taxes.  Janelle's rental sold, so she spent the summer in a trailer, Meri has the B&B - and they just borrowed against Robyn's place to pay off taxes.   It costs them about $4K a month in mortgage payments for the lots, plus taxes.    No way does he have the credit or funds to start major construction on everybody getting a house.  Robyn is happy where she is, so I betting he builds a rental or two  - and then Meri can do whatever, Janelle can bring out her camper in the spring, and Christine is gone.

Friends of mine have bought land and built.  In all their cases they had to have the land paid off before they could start construction.  I don't know if that's true in Flagstaff, but that would definitely hold the Brown construction up if it's true there.
