Vermicious Knid December 31, 2024 Share December 31, 2024 On a somewhat happier note, the New Years Honors list in the UK is out. Among the entertainers Stephen Fry has been Knighted, Carey Mulligan was made a CBE and Fourth Doctor Tom Baker is an MBE (at 90!). Author and Noble Prize winner Sir Kazuo Ishiguro was made a Companion of Honour, which counts only 65 people at any one time 6 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/136372-milestone-moments-all-the-celebrity-vitals/page/76/#findComment-8543485
shapeshifter December 31, 2024 Share December 31, 2024 (edited) Just re-sharing the gift link for the NYT obit for Linda Lavin, which they did update: nytimes.com/2024/12/30/arts/linda-lavin-dead.html?unlocked_article_code=1.lU4.N69t.CiHe7IBW46oL&smid=url-share By waiting a day, they managed to include all of her work in the last year, both completed and ongoing. Other media I saw that published sooner missed at least one of her 3 most current projects. I was on vacation, and every evening when returned to the hotel, it was his coverage on CNN (back when it was watchable) that we used to catch up with the day's developments and people's stories. What a way for him to start his new gig. 6 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/136372-milestone-moments-all-the-celebrity-vitals/page/76/#findComment-8543719

Vermicious Knid Thursday at 03:03 AM Share Thursday at 03:03 AM Andy and Anderson's New Year on CNN included an In Memorium. Unfortunately it does't seem to have been uploaded. Very tastefully done, they managed to included Carter and Linda Lavin. The final clip was James Early Jones in Field of Dreams laughing and disappearing into the cornfield. 1 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/136372-milestone-moments-all-the-celebrity-vitals/page/76/#findComment-8544857

voiceover Thursday at 11:30 PM Share Thursday at 11:30 PM Donny was a longtime childhood crush, but I remember once ranking the rest of the brothers in order of…well, cuteness. Wayne came in last. Years later, during a YT rabbit hole journey, I came across the “Hold Her Tight” vid, and couldn’t take my eyes off him. Proof that wisdom comes with age. RIP, Wayne. I know you’re showing them that you have, and always did have, the moves. 6 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/136372-milestone-moments-all-the-celebrity-vitals/page/76/#findComment-8545299

SunnyBeBe 18 hours ago Share 18 hours ago (edited) I just read about Wayne’s death. My goodness….it hurts my heart. Such a lovely man. I grew up a huge Osmond fan. I loved the entire family, though Donny was my favorite. RIP Wayne. You brought us so much joy with your music. https://people.com/wayne-osmond-cause-of-death-revealed-8768752 Wayne appears second in this video. Looks to be from the 70’s. If you’re a fan, this is a real treat. Hope the link works. If not, I’ll try to fix it. I'm not about to speculate on what possible demons/issues may have led up to that horrific decision on Mr. Baena's part. However, I truly hope there's at least one trustworthy loved one in Miss Plaza's life who will help her cope with the aftermath in the immediate future as well as any unexpected tsunamis of grief for the foreseeable future! I don't say this out of mere concern but because even before this happened (and I'm not saying this to be mean), Miss Plazas has seemed as though she has had some serious (possibly unresolved) issues in her earlier life to the point of appearing to be a disturbed individual in X number of interviews. 6 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/136372-milestone-moments-all-the-celebrity-vitals/page/76/#findComment-8546397
